It had been a few weeks since the chunin exams ended and Asuka had made a very specific request of the Mizukage just a short while before the exams had begun a chance to spar with him as a birthday gift. It was an odd request but with him being so busy she never really had a chance to see him anymore and so with the workload of the exams having gone past it was time for him to make good on his promise.

The girl would make her way to his office in order to meet him at the time they promised and from there they’d make their way towards the edge of the shores of the island. "Thanks for doing this sir I’ve been looking forward too it since the exams finished.” she’d say looking back at him as she led the way towards the waters. "Ever since that battle with one that Uchiha I’ve been working day in and day out in order to improve myself and now I want to see just how far I’ve come” Asuka had never beaten the Mizukage in a one on one fight and perhaps today might finally be the day she gets one over on her rival.

While there relationship was rather one sided, Asuka still had a degree of respect for Toru and viewed him as a powerful shinobi someone she wanted to test herself against as benchmark for how powerful she could become. And while she may not have agreed with his philosiphies as the two made their way out towards the water the girl wound enter into her usual stance. "I’m ready when you are my lord!” she’d call out to him. "Hai!”

Summary:

Asuka would be caught in the mist and would attempt to strike out at the young girl using the [Silken Fist: Counter Blow] but due to her uncertainty of where to strike her follow through was poor and may or may not have hit her target. However in the process of doing so she was caught with a strike to the gut by her opponent and pushed further into the mist for now she awaits her opponents next move.

Asuka is a member of the Waruichi clan and as such has the ability to control a special chakra infused silk that was forged by a special group of silkworms that feed on the corpses of dead clansmen. With it Asuka can craft and shape the silk to her will and uses it in a mostly supplementary fashion to aid her in battle alongside her powerful taijutsu skills.

As a sole practitioner of Taijutsu Asuka has relentlessly pushed her body against itself for spectacular results: her strength carries over into her speed, and as such alongside the control she exerts body in spirit and in mind, she is intensely faster than those of a similar level of strength and maneuvering expertly as if the air were an extension of her own body.

During Asuka's time as a genin the youth had begun to realize that in order to excel as a shinobi she needed to learn how to properly utilize her chakra. And while she doesn't posses the greatest of reserves the youth has learned through rigorous meditation how to keep her chakra still and calm. As a result she is now able to wield it with a great deal of control and is able to channel only the necessary amounts of chakra into the few jutsu she uses in order to make the most of their abilities whilst still being able to keep up in a fight.

It had been a bit of a difficult thing to pencil in with the exams around the corner, but Toru reluctantly agreed to spar with Asuka. Reluctantly, because it had been a very strange request for a birthday gift and he had not entirely remembered the girl's birthday. Though he could hardly be blamed for it as his head was full of plans and international relations, and making sure that the security was top-notch. It had been and had - mostly - prevented a situation from occurring.

Once everything was settled and the dust was down to earth once more he had delegated his assistant to the paperwork that could be done by the assistant for the day.

He had met Asuka at the office, he was already ready to go however instead of sitting at his desk as he normally might be.

"Mm, I'm glad I can be of use," He responded leaning away from the desk so that they could start their way out to the middle of nowhere. If their spar was to be something a bit more unhinged it would be no good to star in the village or anywhere in the training grounds.

Once they started, Toru would take the lead, though, instead of taking them out to sea he would simply take them out towards the outside of the village where the crescent lake was. That would be plenty of space for them to spar... And cause some damage.

Toru would walk out to the middle of the water the village but a speck behind them.

"Happy birthday?"

With the Waruichi taking her position along the water she’d enter into her usual stance and ready herself for battle but it was at this point that the Mizukage would wish her a happy birthday. "Thank you sir!” the girl would remark a pleased blush on her face. "Now then!” after a moment the girl would weave a series of hand seals in order to harden her bandages.

After she was complete she would charge towards the Mizukage at her top speed moving as quickly as her legs would allow her to go, her footsteps causing small puddles of water to ripple as she made her way towards the smaller swordsman. Her speed has improved greatly since the last time she had went up against him and was decidedly nothing to take lightly.

Upon closing in she’d attempt to smash the Mizukage with a stiff punch to his chest adding a small amount of chakra into her fist in order to give the blow some added impact and send the young boy careening along the waters of the lake, and with striking speed like hers even he might have a hard time attempting to maneuver himself out of the way of his technique. Her heart was beating quite fast and it was clear she was enjoying herself the wide smile etched across her face, surely this was bound to be an exciting battle.

DESCRIPTION:
After crafting a series of hand seals the Waruichi is able to shape and/or harden their bandages to give them the temperament of being as hard as titanium allowing them to cleave cut or bash through most things with a great deal of ease making it easier for them to contest against weapons, but this doesn't protect them from chakra based weapons should they come into contact with one but it can give them a greater advantage going up against other hardened metals as well as flesh and bone.

Toru didn't flinch as Asuka flew towards him, well, practically flew. He was aware of her speed, had seen, and even with the improvement he knew - in a manner of speaking - what to expect from her movements. Needless to say, he was very well accustomed to it all.

Instead, the young age remained steadfast, there was no stance just neutrality as she approached. He was focusing, and just as she arrived and threw her punch squarely into his chest red chakra plumed over his body. It didn't necessarily stop the punch in fact it very much still sent Toru flying back, but for Asuka it would have been like punching something harder than diamond itself, on top of shoving your fist into boiling water, hotter than Hades.

Toru did not grimace though as he flew, twisting to correct himself so that he could land safely on the water creating quite a bit of steam around him as he did.

Then, he would dart towards Asuka in return, Saigo no Iki in hand, he wanted to start the battle more simply as he rushed towards her, a red chakra tail billowing out from behind him. Unfortunately for Asuka, his speed and strength were devastating like this. So the only prompt she would have of his presence was the steam that he left behind, leaping overhead to bring the flat of his blade down against her head. Flat, because he wasn't actually aiming to kill.

As the Mizukage was flung back the girl attempted to charge him only to see him make his way towards her while cloaked in a strange chakra the girl sensed it but wasn’t certain as to what it was. "What is that…I wasn’t aware that he possessed techniques like that?” the girl would say as he made his way forward charging towards the youth.

As he came her way the girl would raise her arms in an effort to try and block the flat of the blade with her durability of her bandages. If she managed to do so successfully Taki would retaliate with a fierce push kick to his gut in order to try and knock him back, even if only a few feet but upon hitting him would notice that his body is stiffer than she was expecting. "Has he been working out?” the girl would think.

If she managed to land her strike she would charge him and if she managed to make it to him in time she would let off a series of rapid kicks in his general direction attempting to launch him into the air with one final strike, possibly launching him upwards and heading towards him in an attempt to capitalize, raising her leg to strike.

With the flat of the blade being quite dull, Asuka managed to block, it would not even cut through basic fabric let alone durable bandages. But, the impact would certainly revibrate into her flesh like an extremely hard punch against a durable surface, it would result in bruising later but not a great deal more. He hung in the air for a moment, allowing for her kick to connect. As her foot met his stomach though, she would find that he was not only strangely hard to make contact with - even worse than when she had hit him before - but now there was also a boiling heat that was coming off of him. It would not unlike sticking ones foot in boiling hot water.

Still, Toru was knocked back.

He managed to reorient himself though, his tail turning into a hand as it stopped him from flying much further into the water. Creating a huge path of steam in his wake. He knew she was coming, because her scent got closer, despite the steam and his sword came up at the ready just as she came up on him. The combination she used was not too hard to evade with Toru's heightened reflexes, he managed to step back from it all and instead attempt to wrap his tail as a hand around her just to kind of throw her off into the distance.

As the girl blocked his blow with her arms and the flat of the blade landed on her arms she’d feel it even through the thickness of her bandages a blunt pain that would clash with her arms for the moment, but with adrenaline pumping she’d press on and as she threw out her next kick to push him back she’d immediately feel a stinging pain come over body from the blow that she landed it a painful heat she had wondered where it had come from but taking a look at him she’d notice there was something different about him that she couldn’t quite place.

Had he learned some new secret technique it seemed akin to the cloak that Kasumi had…but at the same time this brought back memories of the chunin exams where she saw a boy have a similar change of pace, just what was going on here. As she attempted to continue her onslaught she’d try to fight through the pain but ultimately there wasn’t much payoff. And before she had much time to react she’d notice that a large hand would form from his newly formed cloak that would wrap around her and attempt to toss her into the distance. It was hot just like the other parts of him and after a moment she was flung off into the distance crashing into the water.

After a moment she’d return to the surface of the water and send some wind chakra into her hands in order to use the surface of the water to stand herself up and then place her feet back onto the ground after vaulting back up.

She’d look out into the distance and considered her options, there wasn’t much more she could do but she did have one idea. In the last few months she kept recalling her fight with the Uchiha and ways that she could get better and returned to her studies of Taijutsu and had begun experimenting with the 8 gates as a method to push herself to her limits. She hadn’t managed to fully master the first gate in any respect only allowing herself to break past one of her bodies initial limiters that being speed.

After taking a deep breath the girl would attempt to rush the Mizukage her feet picking up speed quickly propelling herself to the peak of her speed moving faster than ones eyes could normally see. "There was a reason I wanted to fight you sir…I needed someone to help me test something out.”

Asuka was flung into the distance, leaving Toru to stand on the surface of the water. He did not sheath his blade, but he did not stand with a great deal of offense in mind. Mostly because the way Asuka stood, well he had this feeling swirling in his stomach, it was intuition based on her immediate stance. She wasn't going to attack him immediately.

That is, until she did. She took off at blinding speeds.

Her voice distorted by the speed she was moving at, Toru wasn't going to be caught off guard. Or at least he would do his best to not be caught off guard. He did not have special sight, but he could smell her approach with fine-tuning of his nose. He lowered his stance - did he dare amplify his own powers to combat hers?

No. For now, he would endure what she was about to dish out, so that he could test what it was that she was suddenly attempting. Of course, he wouldn't be put down easily, this was meant to be a spar for both of them to test themselves after all, to lay down and roll over would be a disservice to Asuka... Just as doing the same, would be a disservice to himself.

"Using your leader as a testing subject? Strange." He uttered, somewhere between a whisper and a statement meant to be heard.

As the girl moved in closer with her speed she’d unleash her flurry of kicks, opting to use her base strength as she charged him with the amount of focus she was applying to her muscles she wasn’t able to properly exert her chakra enhanced strength but for the most part her strikes would be much faster and harder to avoid than normal.

As she got in close she’d pull her arms back and clap the sides of her opponents head with a thunderous smash and afterwards would once again perform a much faster flurry of kicks towards his body and only to finish it off with a swift kick that would fling him into the air, she’d still feel the pain from his cloak which Asuka herself had found to be rather odd. "You knew you were the only one who could handle my strength when we were genin, and it’s the same thing even now!”

If she succeeded in landing this time, she’d follow him into the air with a leap and would then smash her knee and elbow straight into his back and chest, the toughness of her bandages cushioning the added pain she would feel should she have come in contact with his hardened body.

Toru was at least, moderately prepared for all that there was to come. As Asuka got in close and started to unleash her kicks, he would move. Dancing elegant along her strikes, though that was not to say he was not getting hit at all, he was. It was just the way he was dealing with it between his thick skin and the boiling hot cloak seemed to be substantially better. It would be like a repeated impact against something harder than diamonds for Asuka. No cushioning against his flesh, despite her bandages.

Still, he could at least feel pain and found himself grimacing at the discombobulating move of her palms striking against his head, he closed on eye when he saw her moving towards his face, but he was momentarily safe even if it created a sort of din in his head of strained noise.

Finally, she would unleash another set of kicks to send him flying into the air. Toru anticipated, and would jump away and into the air where she intended to send him to avoid the final kick entirely, this would give him control in the air and as she jumped after him in an attempt to perform a final blow he would focus hard on his chakra. That is, once contact was made and he was thrown into the water below - a huge crater was made of his shape mostly of steam before the liquid collapsed in on itself - she would feel something strange along her knee and elbow.

A weight at first quite minor, but then it would grow. It was like a rock, but it was not. Coral was now growing from Asuka at the point of contact, stuck to her stick, and impossible to rip off.

The girl would clash with her lord the two of them colliding as Asuka’s kicks smashed into the young man launching him into the air she’d notice him change his trajectory as he went into the air but even still her newly found speed was placed together relatively well but after she landed her attack and send Toru’s body down into the water with steam the girl had smiled finding success.

But after a moment would notice a weight at the end of her arm and her knee which would seemingly get heavier pulling her out of the air and down onto the surface of the water itself the temporary power lost losing control and feeling that slight strain compounding her body as she stumbled to a knee on the surface of the heated water. After a moment however she'd notice the corals against her body and would try to pull it apart. The coral that seemed to be just as hard if not hardened than her bandages ripping at her cloth as she tried to remove it.

Summary:

Asuka would be caught in the mist and would attempt to strike out at the young girl using the [Silken Fist: Counter Blow] but due to her uncertainty of where to strike her follow through was poor and may or may not have hit her target. However in the process of doing so she was caught with a strike to the gut by her opponent and pushed further into the mist for now she awaits her opponents next move.

With it Asuka can craft and shape the silk to her will and uses it in a mostly supplementary fashion to aid her in battle alongside her powerful taijutsu skills.

As a sole practitioner of Taijutsu Asuka has relentlessly pushed her body against itself for spectacular results: her strength carries over into her speed, and as such alongside the control she exerts body in spirit and in mind, she is intensely faster than those of a similar level of strength and maneuvering expertly as if the air were an extension of her own body.

A Disciplined Iron Bull:
During Asuka's time as a genin the youth had begun to realize that in order to excel as a shinobi she needed to learn how to properly utilize her chakra. And while she doesn't posses the greatest of reserves the youth has learned through rigorous meditation how to keep her chakra still and calm. As a result she is now able to wield it with a great deal of control and is able to channel only the necessary amounts of chakra into the few jutsu she uses in order to make the most of their abilities whilst still being able to keep up in a fight.

The coral required huge amounts of kinetic force to break off of the body, so presumably if Asuka had removed it, she had also had to punch through the coral to actually get it off. Of course, it was hardly a technique that Toru had perfected but any form of physical contact with him could result in this very sticky coral growing over the body until it consumed everything. Alas, Asuka was alright, for now though struggling to upkeep the opening of the gates. Toru did not have an inkling of an idea as he shot himself from the water, towards Asuka, not much worse for wear. Sore, perhaps, on the inside from the impact of her attack, but his exterior seemed unharmed.

The sprouted tail was what helped propel him out of the water and towards the girl, flinging himself ferociously, he flew through the air with his sword aiming to swing against Asuka's head, right over the top. It was the blunt side, but nonetheless an impact such as this could result in painful consequences. Of course, he had been holding back a bit before, but now that Asuka had tried to really hurt him, he decided to serve it all back to her in tandem.

Would she avoid the sword? Then the tail of chakra would fly towards her like a hand to grab at her entire body to send her flying in a sling shot motion.

As the coral would stick out of the girls body she’d take her hands and attempt to punch away the coral using some vestiges of chakra enhanced might, to break the coral off but in the process of doing so the girl would feel a disturbance in the surface of the water and would send an influx of chakra into her pained body in order to keep herself on the up and nearly managing to avoid the weapon but is smacked on the edge of the nose with the blunt end of the sword causing her to bleed from her nose ever so slightly.

She’d wipe the blood from her nose as the young man came out of the water and once again she would once again begin to charge him but her speed and strength were abysmal making her somewhat outmatched given the circumstances. Her palm strike she attempted to throw was rather sloppy and it was clear that the gates were taking their toll. "The power of the gates is phenomenal but…if I don’t take heed of it right away then…it’s over.”

She would attempt to keep up the fight using Chakra to keep herself on the up and up as her sore muscles would strain themselves whilst she continued to fight with whatever energy she could potentially muster.

Sokudo is a method of using chakra passively to reinforce the body's physical capabilities. Such things are movement-based rather than just brute strength would. Though, after being used for more than seven posts, the user's muscles will be sore as if they just did an extensive workout. IF continued to be used, eleven posts will begin to break down muscle. Intense pain followed, forced technique shut down.

Toru did not take Asuka slowing down as a true stop, because to him stopping was a full surrender, asking someone to cease the fighting for the time being. But Asuka did not do this, she attempted to fight back with a sloppy palm strike. For Toru this was a sign to continue forward. He landed on the ground and as her speed and strength started to diminish he would simply swerve off to the side to avoid the striking palm.

His tail moved around the side as he moved as well, it came in a wrecking ball motion to try and throw her forward in a similarly bludgeoning fashion. If the motion and attack succeeded by the tail, it would knock her straight in the back and send her flying perhaps skidding across the water since they were not fighting in the air.

Presuming any of this worked and Asuka came to a skidding halt somewhere in the water Toru would wait for her to stand again, and if there was no indication that she was done fighting he would shoot towards her full speed as before this time attempting to create coral on his palms like bones of the Kaguya to make her endure or dodge a series of rather spiky stabs protruding from Toru's palms.

As the girl stood there, Toru wouldn’t waste anytime, her offense was easily shrugged off and she found herself grabbed by his tail and then tossed across the water her body skidding along until she once again sank slightly standing back up to her feet still set to fight, she needed to harness it’s power again her body hadn’t fully recovered from her first usage but she couldn’t simply just allow it to leave her she needed to rely on it and push herself just that much harder.

"C’mon Body don’t fail me now!” taking a deep breath the girl would harness it’s power once again cracking the gate open and steeling herself, she could feel the power of her chakra surge through her muscles she was in pain but for now let the adrenaline flow allowing her to stave it off for a time.

Now once again able to access the full breadth of her strength she’d watch as the boy would make his way towards the girl using the gates would push her body off to the side moving as if she had a second wind as she forced herself to move faster, slight tears in her muscular structure with each motion. If she managed to secure an opening by the time she landed on the surface of the water the girl would dash forward again aiming for a hefty series of kicks aiming one towards his back and then firing off another towards his head.
