With some time having passed Taki found herself back in Kirigakure once again this time on business to meet with one of the sage’s apprentices who challenged her to a duel, and while the kid was no threat he barely had anyone to teach him so she felt that she should do him a favor and check up on him from time to time, even if he was a bit of a nuisance.

It was almost sunset by the time she'd arrived and needed to secure some lodging before heading his way in the morning, and while it was getting late with money like hers finding a place to stay the night should be easy right? With that the girl would make her way towards the nearest hotel within the village, a nice and luxurious inn, nice and cozy just like she liked it. "Yo gimme da best ya got!" the girl would say flashing her cash. "Sorry no can do...young lady, I'm afraid we're booked solid." the hotel clerk would say, in a dejected tone. "What no kiddin?" the girl would say taken aback by the news, after a moment the man would point out towards the wall.

"Ever since the walls been built business has been booming we've had to show a lot of people the door and you're no different I'm afraid." seeming a bit dejected Taki understood and made her way out the door traveling to another hotel only to be told more of the same. Each time informed the same it would seem that tourism was up since people felt safer traveling to the village. But now with it being so late into the night the girl found herself out on the streets which left her without many options, except one place.

And so the girl marched her way towards the familiar suburb, the Momochi residence. It had been quite some time since she’d been here. The feeling was almost nostalgic in a sense she'd smile towards the building but as the blonde would approach her door she began to feel some slight anxiety creeping up her back, almost like having stage fright that only grew as she got closer. Once she'd gotten to the door she'd take a deep breath. "Take it easy goil." she'd think to herself.

Eventually after overcoming it she'd make her way towards her door but just as she knocked she’d noticed that the door was broken just like last time. "This thing still ain’t fixed.” she’d think as she looked at the door almost chuckling as she’d tap on it's frame. "Yo Kasumi, it’s Taki.” her voice sounded a bit flat, and was probably not one that she was expecting to hear especially when it was almost night time. "You home?” the girl would wait outside of her home for the girl to answer the door puffing out her jacket pulling herself together.

There is only one path left to take.

Kasumi had been a scarce resource for people who might want to find her these days. If she wasn't at a random training field, she still was scarcely at home resting. She would still be reclusive, researching new things or even just avoiding irritations.

Taki at her door, however, was a lucky one. She came up right after Kasumi had gotten back from a training session with her sensei. Kyouka. Which meant there were bruises and the like scattering her that were accompanied with aches and pains.

Kasumi had only gotten home about 20 minutes before the knock, and had gone straight to the shower. Warm water for her aching joints. Just as she stepped out she heart that voice. That damned voice. Letting out a grunt, she peeked from her bedroom, a towel wrapped around herself for modesty.

"You? Why are you here?" Kasumi for a moment wondered if Taki had come several times, only to see the empty place. "Make it quick."

One of Kasumi's eyes was clearly black, and her moves were sluggish. Giving away how hard she had worked that day. She pulled her bed back into the bedroom, closing the door.

"Wipe your feet at least though, and I can still hear you from in here!"

It wouldn't be long before Kasumi emerged from her room, dressed in a shirt at least two sizes too big and shorts, looking as if she wanted a faster response.

After waiting for a good minute the door would open and Taki would spot Kasumi who seemed to be dressed in a towel and while that was usually a nice sight the girl would draw her eyes down toward the girls eye which seemed to be busted up. "The hell happened to her eye?” she’d think taking note of how grievous it looked.

Shortly after she’d walk inside her home and head to her room, upon entering Taki would look about the place, noticing that it didn’t look any different from the last time she was here. She’d wipe her boots on the mat at the front of the house before removing em completely once she stepped inside.

After a moment she’d fess up and answer the girls question pertaining to why she was there, after she had left and headed into her room. "Well uhh, when I was tryin to book myself a place to stay awl da rooms were booked solid.” she’d rub the back of her head somewhat embarrassingly; this would never happen in Iwagakure but such was the nature of the beast but wasn't any less shameful or inconvenient.

”One of da sage apprentices wanted me to come help em out and seeing how he ain’t got no one to really teach him no betta I figa’d I’d lenda hand.” Taki herself knew what it was like to not have a teacher and didn’t want that to fall onto anyone else so even thought it sounded minor it was something she kept close to her heart. "Think you could help a goil out…just for one night?” the girl would say laying it out to her, slightly trying to turn up the charm hoping it might work shooting her a hopeful if not a little corny smile.

The first thing Kasumi noticed about the Blode was the strange look she gave her eye. Like a worried mother Kasumi never had. The thought made the girl spit to the side on her own carpet. She was no stranger to training and a little black eye was nothing to fawn over.

Taki would explain more about the situation while Kasumi changed into a shirt at least two sizes too big and shorts. Even though she had changed, Kasumi remained in her room quietly for a few moments. Her head rested against the frame of the door and her eyes closed.

Every part of her body seemed to hurt at the moment, whether from a bruise or a general soreness from over exertion. Then she comes home to meet with this. This headache of a situation.

She was going to go out there and tell the girl to leave.

She opened the door, stepping out and giving Taki an indifferent stare. "You can stay on the couch. I'll be up early though, so don't expect more beauty sleep to grow out those locks or nothin'."

That did not go according to plan. Not even slightly. Now, Kasumi went to the small kitchenette attached to her living room, opening the fridge. It was rather bare, but there was at least one thing of orange juice in there. Yeah. A fitting distraction.

"Didn't even know we had one of those sage thingies here. Huh. Wonder who it is. Wait… is it that guy you fought in round two? That… probably should have been obvious."

"Thanks, and yeah I’ve slept on your couch bafore I know da deal, I appreciate it though.” she’d remove her jacket and take her title belt and hang it on another coat hanger before looking over at the couch and made herself at home, laying down on the thing and turning on her headphones keeping them around her neck.

But as Kasumi walked by she’d watch her pass near her, making a note and asking who it was she was training with. "Nah not that Taiga boy…you must not a met em, I think he might be new kids name is Koichi.” she’d say as she found herself getting cozy on the couch. "Hell of a lot louder than Shomaru dats for sure.” after a moment she’d hear the sound of her refrigerator opening up, the familiar noise brought food to her mind and made her stomach rumble. "Got anything to eat in dere?" she'd ask sitting up and looking to the girl as she passed by.

"How you been by the way?” the blonde would ask as she sat up on the couch trying her best to relax from the long walk she had to make. "Been a while since I've seen ya.”she'd as the girl passed by her from the fridge with her carton of orange juice she'd sit up making eye contact, her music coming out of her speakers, loud enough to hear but not enough to be THAT loud. Kasumi had been regretting accepting the offer to let the girl crash on her couch, and even now felt herself tempted to tell her to go sleep on this unknown apprentice's couch instead. Would that be weird? For a teacher and a student to share a house for a bit?

Kasumi wasn't sure.

"If you want food, there's that place down the road I took you to last time. Just make sure you bring me something back too, as a lodging fee."

Kasumi would reenter the room, an icepack in one hand over her eye and the orange juice in the other. She drank it straight from the bottle as she plopped herself down in a chair across from the couch that would be Taki's bed for the night.

"I've filed for my promotion finally. I just felt like I needed one more thing to be right for it. Eh. Since then I've been training harder than ever. Hence the eye."

Kasumi said it with a casual shrug. She looked Taki up and down again, the new look still strange to her. Long hair wasn't something she lined up with Taki, but she figured she'd get used to it. Eventually.

That, or she wouldn't have to deal with the Iwa anymore. She wasn't sure which she wanted, but she hadn't kicked her out yet.

As the walked by her she had told her that something she should try was heading down to the spot that she had taken her on their date last time thinking about that conjured up some pleasant feelings as she raised her head up. "Yeah I know da place, sure thing.” afterwards she’d go over towards her jacket as the girl explained that she had recently applied for her chunin promotion. "Eyy, good on ya.” the girl would say as she took her wallet and tucked away inside of the pockets on the dress she was wearing, long and orange with the kanji for the clan on the chest.

"Knowing how you train I’m just glad you still have ya head.” she’d say making a slight joke knowing that Kasumi likes to go hard when she fights with others. As she started towards the door she’d stop and lean against the wall, as the girl would ask about how her sage training was going. "It’s intense…I’m slowly getting da hang of it, no mastery yet but definitely a lot betta den da last time ya saw it.” the girl would think on her training and her mind would harken to her recent progress which she felt particularly proud of, but it still wasn't enough not just yet. "But we can tawlk about dat layta."

"Anyway Imma go grab us some grub what’re you havin, same as last time?” after she got confirmation the girl would look back at her. "Don’t leave dat ice on too long by da way.” she’d say still showing a small modicum of concern, smiling to her as she left. With that the girl would make her way out towards the spot Kasumi had mentioned and grabbed their meal there was a bit of a wait but once she got it the girl would scurry back into the girls home "Yo Dinner’s ere!” she’d say her hands full with all of the treats she had bought. The scent of potatoes, and seafood permeated out of the bag and presumably into the wounded cats nostrils, she’d head towards the table in the kitchen and would set down the meal for the two of them too enjoy.

Taki seemed hesitant to talk shop right away, and Kasumi figured it was probably because the girl was starving. Hell, she most likely walked another 500 miles just to get here. This time to see some kid Kasumi had never even met.

Not that she cared about that, or anything.

"I'm pretty sure my heads stuck where it is. The Mizukage himself would break his sword on it. Heh." Kasumi was notoriously hard headed, and the time they spent apart hadn't changed that at all. "Yah, just get me whatever. I ain't picky."

Taki would leave and Kasumi would assess the situation once more. She'd take the ice off her eye a little early, squinting with her better iris around. Now she had time to let this all really sink in. It was weird, wasn't it?

It didn't stop her usual strategy though. She stood up on sore legs, rolling her shoulders and making her way to a nearby closet to pull out some pillows and a blanket. She tossed them to the couch that Taki would be sleeping on.

Last time, she didn't have any bedding for her and the couch must have been less than comfortable. Kasumi had picked these up. Just in case.

By the time it was settled, Kasumi had just put the ice back on as Taki walked in with the food. It smelled like heaven, and Kasumi looked back to the gracious angel carrying it.

"Didn't even realize how hungry I was 'till I smelled that." Kasumi would say, putting the orange juice contained in the middle of the table. "I don't have any clean cups so we'll have to share that, alright?"

As the girl made her way inside Kasumi would help by taking some of the bags and placing them on the table, Taki would look around eventually finding plates and setting the table her eyes noticing the pillow and blanket. "Fa me, you're sweet.” she’d joke. After setting the table she’d take a seat and would open out the bag that the food was in letting the aroma hit the room, it smelled like fish but not in a bad way.

The food was nice and hot with one of the takeout boxes being particularly stuffed. "I gotcha some extra food figa’d you might be hungry.” after a moment she’d take out the meal from the bag she brought it in and hand it off to the bruised little kitten "Enjoy~” before she sat down she headed back towards the end of the room and put her jacket up before heading back and sitting down.

"Oh man this is gonna be awesome!” the girl sat down and took her chopsticks holding them kinda awkwardly, since most of her food she ate with her hands. She looked over Kasumi hoping that she enjoyed what the girl had bought. "Good choice…you guys always did have some good food.” a small giggle escaping her lips as she took a bite of her food, letting the slimy but tasty texture of the fish run down the back of her throat. Kasumi only rolled her eyes at Taki when she noticed the pillow and blanket. Yeah, it was a little bit for her, but it was also just for if she had anyone else over! Not that she ever did, most people knew better than to wander into the home of the demon.

"That was smart of you. If you thought you were going to eat in front of me, you would have lost half your food at least." Kasumi said when Taki handed her a bag of her own food. It was the same thing she'd ordered on their first date all that time ago. The same thing her and her father used to split when she was younger. "You're that clumsy with chopsticks, I couldn't imagine you with a sword."

Kasumi said, handling her own chopsticks expertly as she shoveled food into her hungry mouth. She had no manners at the moment, it seemed, as she ate with her mouth open and slurped up noodles like a vacuum.

"Eh?" She asked, food in her mouth. "I don't care if you drink first. That's a weird question."

Kasumi would go back to eating, but then paused a second to ask one question.

"How long did ya say you were in town fer again?"

She’d then dig into her own food which wasn’t pretty either especially since she was more used to eating food with her hands or with other more foreign utensils. As she kept eating the girl would tell her that it was fine for her to hang around for at least a day but not to keep her to distracted. "I’ll be sure to make the most of it then, thanks again forreal.” she’d say smiling to her as she devoured more of her food. As the girl kept eating nearing the end of her meal she’d take some of the orange juice and take a hefty sip of it, before setting it down her lipstick staining the rim of the cup.

Afterwards the girl would ask if Iwa gets pissed about her for leaving. "I do my fair share o woik, they usually come find me in the sage compound put me out to pasture on a mission or two, I come home, help my folks and then I get a few days to myself. Rinse and repeat for about 4 weeks.” it was honestly a rather monotonous schedule for the girl but she’d gotten into a routine that she liked and was sticking to it. "But as the sage we kinda operate outside o da shinobi system so we have a bit more freedom, it’s why I was able to show up ere as a genin, if my teacha had business I got to tag along.” thought thinking on the last part of her sentence the girl would stroke her chin.

"But that don’t mean I don’t gotta watch my step.” the girl would add she was under the impression she was monitored but had no actual evidence of such things, when the girl would mention her moving out to Kirigakure. "I doubt I'd be allowed, but seeing as my sensei left the village to go get hitched in Takigakure anything is possible ya know? Maybe we'll open up a gym out here or something it'd be good for both nations.” after a moment however the girl would look up towards Kasumi with a little wink.
