ANBU Black Ops Package Note: This is standardized equipment issued, by default, to all active ANBU Black Ops members of any village. Each village may have its own alterations to the kit. Additional items are not considered part of the package. NAME: Black Ops Mask RANK: A Rank CLASSIFICATION: Defensive ELEMENT: N/A RESTRICTIONS: ANBU or Equivalent Organization Membership DESCRIPTION: Each village with their own black ops teams seeks to maintain a degree of anonymity in order to preserve the safety of its members. To this end, each operative is issued a mask to conceal their identity. Each village has it's own customization in mind, and therefore will have a different appearance. In most cases, each individual will also have a style that differs from their peers and could potentially single out one individual operative, but not necessarily identify who they are.  ABILITIES: Chakra Veil | Identity Concealment To properly serve the operative and conceal their identity, the mask has a seal placed on the inside. This seal effectively acts to trap chakra given off by the operative and utilizes it to create a filter for their identity. This chakra filter obscures their face from most basic sensory methods and will also bring their voice to a neutral, ambiguous preset to help ensure they are difficult to identify.  As it utilizes chakra radiated by the body in a natural fashion, it does not require extra chakra to use, nor does it apply a drain on the wearer. It will counter the effects of most sensory techniques or doujutsus, such as the Byakugan. NAME: Black Ops Cloak RANK: A Rank CLASSIFICATION: Defensive ELEMENT: N/A RESTRICTIONS: ANBU or Equivalent Organization Membership DESCRIPTION: Most ANBU operatives, as well as their equivalents, are special forces units used to undertake the most dangerous of missions, many of which are clandestine. In order to move around undetected, or at least to aid in the effort. Generally, these cloaks are nondescript and designed to appear as mundane and common as possible. Those who create them go to great lengths to study current trends to see what might be appearing among the general populace. Each village might thereby have its own approach to current designs, and may even change them on a regular basis. ABILITIES: Cloak of Invisibility | Chakra Suppression Each cloak issued to the black ops member is lined with a seal that collects their radiant chakra and creates sensory conflict with any technique attempting to see through it. Extremely basic sensory techniques, or underdeveloped sensory doujutsus and the like may not be able to detect the extremely reduced chakra emissions, but those that can will find it extremely difficult to identify the individual beyond merely knowing they are there. NAME: Spec Ops Flak Jacket RANK: A CLASSIFICATION: Defensive ELEMENT: N/A RESTRICTIONS: ANBU or Equivalent Organization Membership DESCRIPTION: Safety is king. However, issuing the best-of-the-best armor to all shinobi would not be within the budget of the villages, and therefore, it is often reserved for the elite and the special.  The ANBU operatives flak jackets are not much different from their normal, standard issue counterparts, but are of higher quality make and protective qualities. They are, however, more expensive because of it. ABILITIES: Safeguard | Improved Defense Made with the highest quality available materials, this armor is among the best most villages will offer before the shinobi starts to pay out of pocket for upgrades. It is lightweight, flexible, and sturdy. It is slightly heavier than standard issue flak jackets, so some who prize mobility may choose those, instead. However, it does have improved defense against weapons and and ninjutsu and may just help an operative come out alive on the other side.
