Hakugei OWNER: Shodo Tsuri RANK: A CLASSIFICATION: Offensive & Defensive ELEMENT: Suiton RESTRICTIONS: Personal DESCRIPTION: The Life Blade of Shodo Tsuri; Hakugei is a palm-sized fishing hook with an extremely sharp outer and inner edge. It weighs an odd amount making it heavy at at the top of its own curve, and lighter closer to the hilt or tip. Obviously not made for fishing in ponds with its excessively large size for a fish hook. Tsuri wears Hakugei on a lanyard around her neck for ease of grasping it by a slightly broadened grip that she has personally fashioned with wire and string to give it good grip as a stand alone blade. Tsuri having made full connection with the soul of her blade has now met and actively converse with her sword, who takes the form of a colossal whale that is seemingly made from minnow-sized fish-shaped bubbles. PERSONALITY: With a voice and personality befitting of an old man, Hakugei is a patient and caring creature much like his owner, but holds far more predatory and killer instinct as is the nature of a self-proclaimed king of the ocean. All the water is his to wade through freely, and all those that cross into his territory without his young lady's permission are trespassers that must be dealt with accordingly. This doesn't always mean he goes directly for the kill, instead loving to play games if given the chance. ABILITIES: 『The White Whale』 Hakugei is a life blade crafted from the clan's special metal combination, specifically for Tsuri.Being useless and dull in the hands of any other person, to the point that it can't even break flesh if someone used a jutsu meant for cutting alongside the blade. Having awakened Hakugei absorbs Tsuri's chakra continuously as she carries it around, stacking up a decent amount of chakra inside of itself equal to half its wielder's chakra pool (permanently pooling half of Tsuri's chakra at any given time, meaning her reserves are always half empty and stored within Hakugei). The chakra becomes Hakugei's and cannot be accessed by anyone other than the blade, allowing it to have the ability to slowly self-repair small nicks and scratches it may obtain during combat. When entering combat, Hakugei will use its own stores to fuel its abilities until it runs out and then will begin taking from Tsuri. Eventually, Hakugei will cause Tsuri to lose consciousness if he takes too much chakra. 『Apex Predator』 Hakugei is an incredibly strange blade, from its shape to how its best used. Going from fishing hook to fishing pole, Hakugei is the instrument of Tsuri's success or failure. Being the king of the oceans he is an apex predator and can track his prey allowing him to more readily attack. After cutting someone and coming in contact with an opponent's blood for the first time Hakugei releases a bit of his own chakra into the wound causing it to act as a tracking marker for the blade. After which he enters a [Starvation State] and keeps the scent of his prey. Allowing him to follow the enemy more vigorously even if Tsuri and him don't directly have sight of the enemy. This only works within [20 meters] of Hakugei, and takes a [Very Low] drain of chakra every round that he keeps an enemies scent, this can be cancelled at anytime. 『Voracious One』 Needing much to function, Hakugei is a glutton at his core. Having an apetite unbefitting of the more caring and patient attitude the sword takes with its owner. Because of this Hakugei's 'hunger' is imminant and only sated with blood, or his user's chakra. After cutting into someone and entering a [Starvation State] Hakugei will open his maw when attempting to strike someone extending around attempts to block or deflect him by flooding the area of the blade with a buffer of suiton that weakens, or outright prevents, the effectiveness of the block or deflect. Each time he uses this effect takes a [Low] amount of chakra.
