The man fell down screaming in pain, which made her giggle in delight, before increasing the mass of her right arm with the Hydrification Technique and slamming Uemori's flat side on the head of the other one, crashing him completely, until he was a deformed mass of human remains. The attack made the next one hesitate, but that was a terrible mistake, for she hated cowards. Dashing towards that man, she would grab his mouth and nose with her hand and turn part of it into water, as the man flailed trying to escape as he was drowning at her grasp. "Come on, you weakling! Let me see the light leaving your eyes! Hihihi!" she said, as her smile widened. One of his allies tried to save him by stabbing Kyouka's back with a spear, but with her control over the Hydrification Technique, she turned that part of her body into water, and the spear went right through her and hit his own friend, whose blood mixed with the water from her hand, making him die quicker than she wanted him to. "Buzzkill... What a bother you are." she said, rolling her eyes in the orbits as she turned her arm unnaturally towards the man, slamming his back with Uemori, the spikes cracking his body and piercing deep into his spine, thus paralyzing him. With his body falling limp on the ground, she walked towards the legless screaming man and stepped on his head so fiercely she smashed his head into a paste of human remains. "Eight!" she giggled, even though her mission partners were not really indulging in her little counting game. and this is hell Kaguya Toru Kiko 325 words Mission [16/20]

The battle was one of short order, a few enemies with shinobi prowess enough to attack weaker shinobi - perhaps - but not an Elite Jounin, the Mizukage and a chunin all attacking at once. Without even totally communicating they took on the ten with relative ease. Kyouka took the fatalities to eight, and he and Kiko together to nine. One more stood and he felt dissuaded it seemed, rightfully so, and with a shout tried to run for it. Toru's brows furrowed for a moment, before he pulled out a kunai and tossed it in the direction of the escapee. It hit him squarely in the back of the neck, where the spine of the neck and back met. A nice and vital vertebrae, he collided with the ground twitching. His life at an end.

Toru went to sheath his blade then, they had to finish their journey.

"Let us continue."

They would need to finish their journey and return to Kirigakure soon thereafter for the mission to be considered any kind of complete. Though it seemed that they had successfully dispatched at least some of those that were making the mountains their home. It made him wonder how many more, and if any at all were still around.

We are violence This wasn't a battle, it was an outright massacre, and with their fire power, the criminals didn't stand a chance, and when the last person was left standing, they had no more heart for battle; he knew only death awaited. Kyouka paused, resting Uemori over her shoulders as she glanced over to Toru. As much as she wanted to continue to bath in the blood of her enemies, it was common courtesy to leave the last one to the leader of the squad. And just like that, a the last one tried to escape, Toru put it down like a rabid dog and Kyouka giggled. "I love it when they fall down like a sack of ol'potatoes! Hehehe!" she said, licking her lips in anticipation. With the last one of them down, and the threats taken care of, they were free to continue their journey back to the Hidden Mist Village. While this definitely did help making the Land of Water a safer place, sending a brutal message to the criminals who still lingered, it wasn't likely to end the issue completely. They would need to find the rest of them, and make another example. "Say, Toru-sama... Wasn't it fun?!" she asked the Mizukage, trying to gauge how he connected his own feelings to murder. and this is hell Kaguya Toru 230 words Mission [18/20]

On they went, their travels continuing towards Kagamino no Shi through the beautiful eternal mountain range. Surveying for more enemies, though none seemed to come. They were either smarter than the group from before, or there were none left. That was his assumption, but he could be very wrong. Though he had a feeling with all of the crime clearing activity that had been occurring recently in a series of missions, well, that there were not too many active and organized criminals left. Everything was point back to one place, one thing. They would soon take out the wasp's nest too.

Toru looked over towards Kyouka when she addressed him, he was not reacting emotionally. Always the level-headed boy and now teen.

"Fun?" He echoed the woman's words, unsure if he would ever label killing as 'fun'. There was a rush, certainly, an adrenaline that came with combat that flushed the cheeks and made ones heart beat unlike anything else. To some extent it was addicting... But it had to be addicting, or else no shinobi would ever continue their gruesome work. It warped the mind too.

"I suppose it depends on your definition of fun." He murmured, not stopping their advance towards their goal city. Almost there, the mission almost done.

The party would arrive without much damage done to their bodies aside from perhaps some fatigue from travel - as was common with human beings. They would arrive, and rest. Their journey back would be just as long. But, at the very least they were done with what they had set out to do. The village was just a little safer, their nation more secured from the grips of bandits and cretins that need not have a place on these islands. Toru was determined to put an end to all crime, perhaps to an almost obsessive extent. Corruption was everywhere, he was not naive enough to think otherwise, but he was on his way to quashing it the best he could.

He wanted a clean nation, with loyal and steadfast shinobi ready to serve. It was who he was, who he had always been. He would make the nation he had been born into, screaming and tearing into the world with blood and glory, just as great as he believed it to be. Perhaps the council had seen that in him, at least he hoped that was partially the case in his selection of being the Mizukage and Daimyo and not just the merit that his mother had once been the leader too...
