Zaizen had been keeping focused on his role as the hunter-nin captain of Kirigakure trying to perform in the best role he possibly could after his meeting with the Mizukage not all that long ago about Zaizen trying to get results and keeping focused on his role since there was obviously a lot of trust issues because of Zaizen's past. He still had to earn the respect of his peers because most people still didn't trust the man because of his missing-ninja past. While things had improved slightly there was still a long way to go in proving his worth to the others in Kirigakure. Helping with the rebuilding efforts also helped even though Zaizen had been slightly rude at times, it wasn't done on purpose it was just how the man was. Zaizen had seen a lot in his life and his persona was often reflected in the way he was with others he spoke to. The man wouldn't change either.

Rumors of a certain individual in the village about a recent girl that got promoted to Chuunin only recently. but when she was a genin showed great promise, but also has a certain strong and fierce personality which Zaizen could relate to in a way as the man shared a similar trait to that at times. Zaizen more than anything felt interested in finding out more about this individual just out of his own interest more than anything. So headed out to find her in the village, though it wouldn't take the man long with his sensory skills and tracking abilities. So with that in mind, Zaizen set out to find the girl in the village if memory served him right her name was Kasumi, having heard the name mentioned in the village by others. Within a short amount of time, Zaizen had tracked down the girl as he watched from the rooftops of the village. As he looked down from the rooftop at Kasumi he would speak to her. "I've heard a lot about you?" He said towards Kasumi from the rooftop. The man had his arms folded dressed in his usual girl and his face covered in a standard mask that kept his face covered.

A DEMON HAS PURPOSE

There is only one path left to take.

Kasumi had been taking a relaxing day, for once in her last year of life. She didn't wake up at the crack of dawn to train. She didn't exhaust herself to the core to improve. She didn't go on a mission and risk her life and limb the way shinobi did.

No, today she had a different plan. One that firstly involved... getting a fishkabob and eating it befgore getting another and another until she could no longer stomach them.

She was on her third when she heard the voice speak to her. She paused, tensing instinctively. She might have had her guard lowered but she was still a ninja and rarely ever did she think she was alone and be surprised.

Her eyes narrowed and glanced up to the man on the roof speaking to her.

"Aa. You have." She said, taking a bite of her food before pitching the rest to the side and resting her left hand on her sword. "I haven't heard of you though. Who in the Hell are you?"

Her mind assumed the worst. A spy sent to get her alone and take her out. Some creepy old man with a crush. She wasn't sure, but people didn't look for the demon to make friends. Not usually.

Demon Chakra:
Kasumi has become known for her strange chakara form. When in a dire situation, she is capable of releasing her chakra, which in turn takes a strange color unlike the normal blue color of chakra, and takes the form of a demonic cat figure. She is then enveloped in a demon shroud.

This ability grants her a fierce looking aura, that may come off as intimidating and a tenacity to push beyond their normal limits physically- when this mode is activated, Kasumi is harder to knock out or kill and will generally fight for longer than a normal body is capable of.

Keeping this ability active has a low drain on Kasumi's chakara.


Demon sword style:
Since a young age, Kasumi has felt the weight of a sword in her hands. She's practiced combat with swords, and is able to compete with some of the best sword users around. That said, people who lack training with a sword or intensive Taijutsu tend to be overwhelmed by her skill.

Demon chakra pool:
Kasumi was born with higher than average chakara reserves, letting her use more chakara and jutsu without being exhausted. A natural gift from her lineage. She has learned how to properly take advantage of these reserves.

One Handed Demon Style:
Through patience and recklessness, Kasumi has mastered the ability to do jutsu with only one available hand. She can cast jutsu only using one hand for the seals.

Zaizen had been on the roof of the nearby building above Kasumi for a few moments having watched her eat several fishkabob. Zaizen wasn't really a man that preferred them, Zaizen was a pretty simple man when it came to food and preferred to eat ramen when he could but often had to reply on standard rations that were given out to shinobi when out in the field as sometimes Zaizen wasn't in a position to be picky when out on a hunter-nin mission. Kasumi by now had recognized that Zaizen was in her presence as she had noticed him in the nearby building. You could argue that Zaizen might seem creepy for his methods or his actions but the man was generally interested in the younger girl, she was showing great progress having heard all about her chuunin exam progress. A girl with demon powers he had heard people talking about her and more than anything a man like Zaizen who was probably one of the most complex of men in the village had taken an interest in something other than himself and it was a rare thing indeed.

His comment speaking about Kasumi having heard of her seemed to have brought a small laugh or chuckle from the girl but in response she had not heard of Zaizen personally, but it wasn't a surprise considering her age. Zaizen was considered a legend in the village and around the world depending on who you asked you could be told a different story about him. Some stories spoke of the good things he has done in the world of shinboi and other things such as the really bad things he has done in his life. Zaizen is mostly known by the alias Ghost of the mist. Most children growing up have been told the story of the Ghost Of The Mist about a man coming to take you away from the village to never be seen again, some parts of the children's story are based on Zaizen though which parts are true remain to be seen and only Zaizen knows that.

" Ghost Of The Mist." Zaizen spoke his alias towards Kasumi to see if his allas jogged her memory at all but if it didn't then his further commentary would explain it for good. " Sourei Zaizen, Hunter-nin Captain of Kirigakure. Zaizen had spoken his official village role and name. In the corner of Zaizen's eye he had noticed first the girl's usual attire she wore and it certainly would get her some attention with how exposed she seemed to be, but that wasn't the most important thing he had noticed Kasumi with what seemed to be a hand on a weapon on her back. " I hope you know how to use that sword and hope it's just not for show demon." Zaizen really didn't show much expression with his last statement though it was hard to tell with his face covered as he did.

Kasumi eyed the man up and down critically as he spoke. He was the hunter captain? Must mean he was pretty strong, then. She tried to guess what a strong ninja would want with her and mind kept circling back to the same answer over and over. She drew the sword from her scabbard, pointing it at the man.

"Ghost of whatever, it doesn't matter. If you wanna see if I'm good with this sword there's only one way to do that, right?" The people around them seemed to have made themselves scarce. The demon and the ghost were apparently enough to make it scary to sick around.

"Is that why you found me? For a fight? I can oblige, but I'd prefer if we went to a training grounds or something. Sheesh. It was supposed to be my day off too, y'know."

Kasumi would roll her eyes. Children may have heard of the ghost of the mist from their parents, but Kasumi was widely self raised. She didn't have anyone around to tell her scary ghost stories and the like. Instead, she had to learn things first hand.

Even on days that she'd rather be stuffing her face at some all you can eat buffet for hours on end.

As Zaizen watched from the rooftop above Kasumi he would watch her draw her blade from its scabbard and would point it directly at Zaizen he would not flinch or move from his position on the rooftop for the moment as he just looked down at the girl below him. People from around them started to quickly flee the area though it wasn't another shock to Zaizen as people had been running away since he had been an active shinobi many moons ago. Kasumi would then speak saying he Zaizen wanted to see how good she was with her blade there would only be one conclusion to that. The answer to that would be to show off with some training or a fight you could also say it was, but fights were something Zaizen didn't look for. Most people who he fought with are now dead, so training would suffice.

This would then be pretty much confirmed by Kasumi's intentions for such an encounter. Though Zaizen really wouldn't call it a fight for obvious reasons. Kasumi also mentioned that moving to the training grounds would probably be best. Which seemed to be the smart move here as fighting in the streets of Kiri was not the best idea going forward. There would be an explanation to be given to the Mizukage to explain why Zaizen had started a fight with another Kirigakure shinobi in the village an explanation that Zaizen didn't want to have to explain, as the Mizukage barely trusted Zaizen to start with.

Zaizen looked down at Kasumi again before speaking to her. It seems like the training grounds it is then. " He said before making his way down from the rooftops to be on the ground level as Kasumi. " Hope you can keep up..." He said before heading towards the training grounds, Zaizen didn't even have to try to get there fast as he knew he was way quicker than Kasumi at least in terms of raw speed, that his experience made him the obvious winner in that regards but testing her speed was not the objective here, this was a test of her sword skill and general skill, he had heard great things about her and wanted to see this for himself. Before long Zaizen would arrive at the training grounds and took little to no time at all. There really weren't any signs of him tiring even with him running to the training grounds, yet it wasn't a surprise to the people that knew him the most. Zaizen's skills were often called legendary to some. He would wait for Kasumi to arrive.
