Ah, yes...

Isshiki, not an ANBU operative and just a generic Chūnin in an undisclosed operations team. Sure, he wasn't particularly specialised at this point but generalists were... good at everything. Perhaps not great at everything, but he preferred to have numerous fingers in multiple pies than to get caught out by a circumstantial ninja.

Today, he was roleplaying as a Chūnin who definitely didn't travel much out of the country, was a little bit reclusive and was still seen to be a 'Ninja of Takigakure no Sato' and that required him to actually be out in public. Today, he was dressed rather light for the ocassion, lacking many of his traditional garbs, garments, mask, or any weapons that could collude his position and his persons, in more monotone and white/black. Proudly displaying his burns... or what was more like access points now.

Mikatakujira Isshiki was a normal Chūnin, doing normal things. Currently, quite bored out of his mind as he practised his Shuriken and Kunai throwing, very easily hitting the marks each time. This was what normal Chūnin did, right? At least the sound of hitting his mark was a pleasant sound. He preferred the sound of slicing flesh, mind.

But pleasant was good enough.

Huhara made his way slowly through the depths of the jungle, cutting a path with the edge of his kunai as he staggered forward. With each swing he was met with more branches and vines, seemingly to no end. They clawed at his clothing and skin, scratching and cutting him with each step. When he thought an opening was ahead, giving himself some respite; he was quickly proven to be wrong. The chuunin was just returning from his secret hideout, the coveted place he did all his bloodline training. It was weeks ago since he'd been there, apparent from his lack of direction.

He scoffed at his own misfortune... getting lost.. it wasn't befitting of a chuunin at all. Minutes passed by before Huhara managed to gain his bearings, coming across one of the lesser known pathways back to the village. After the tiresome journey through the dense thicket, Huhara slowed his pace.

When he finally managed to return to the safety of the village, Huhara carried on toward the academy. However his attention was quickly stolen by an individual covered in burns training their bukijutsu. The intrigued chuunin took a detour, making his way up to the stranger from behind. "Do I know you?" A scratched covered Huhara softly asked.

meet a monster

Isshiki's main impetus was to worry about other things, having already done several hours of training prior to the sun's coming up. Because, unsurprisingly when you became less-than human, you suddenly had a lot more time in the day. Everything was generally... different. Isshiki was learning more about the human body, and how his new one operated. The introduction of another was one not lost to him, they hadn't made it difficult to hide their presence like he practised. He would appear as though he hadn't heard. Until Huhara spoke.

"Perhaps." Isshiki smiled, his face not leaving his target but his eye peering at Huhara from its corner. Isshiki threw the last Kunai, turning - not looking to see where the place had landed, expectedly hitting its mark. He got a good look at the man opposite him. "Perhaps from the Academy? We look to be similar ages." He did have some humour about his situation. "Maybe it's the burns. I was less burned." Comedy was the only way to go about it.

But still, Huhara now had his full and undivided attention. He put one hand to his hip, and the other hand out widely toward him in the offer of a handshake. "Mikatakujira Isshiki, Ops Operative!" his voice was cheerful as he spoke, full of life. Though his appearance might've said otherwise, he was very much not as imposing. But, this was his 'human' life and he had to play the part.
