It was her first operation as a special Jounin, taking on the task of helping an elderly gentleman who lost his belongings to a thief, investigating the individual in question while bringing them to justice.

Asuka hadn’t exactly been in the best mood lately but she was doing her best not to let that show and focused on her work channeling her negative emotions into her job. Today she was set to work with someone who coincidentally had the same name as her, something she found humorous but seeing as it was her investigation it would seem that her partner was going to need to find her hear and after her recent interpersonal conflict with her former partner it was probably better that they weren’t working together on this one.

With the time that the girl had on her hands she’d make her way towards the station but not before having a small glass of alcohol before making her way into work, it was going to be a tough day and one glass couldn’t hurt right? It wasn’t enough to really impede her sense just give her a slight taste of it, she found herself having one most mornings nowadays to get herself started and maybe having a glasses before bed night. It was starting to become something of a worrying trend, thankfully the odor wasn’t apparent and she didn’t drink enough to throw her off her game thought she may have looked a tad red in the cheeks.

Summary:

Asuka would be caught in the mist and would attempt to strike out at the young girl using the [Silken Fist: Counter Blow] but due to her uncertainty of where to strike her follow through was poor and may or may not have hit her target. However in the process of doing so she was caught with a strike to the gut by her opponent and pushed further into the mist for now she awaits her opponents next move.

Heavy Handed Iron Fist:
With the rigorous training that Asuka had to endure as she honed her body to levels of perfection rivaling that of any martial arts master. Asuka's strength has increased 10 fold to the point where she is able to crush stoned within her grasp and breaks bones of lesser individuals with ease. And while she still has much to learn as a chunin. The youth's power is not one to be challenged lightly, as she is able to perform physical feats that would seem inhuman to even most shinobi.

Hijutsu: Kinu no Eikyō:
Asuka is a member of the Waruichi clan and as such has the ability to control a special chakra infused silk that was forged by a special group of silkworms that feed on the corpses of dead clansmen. With it Asuka can craft and shape the silk to her will and uses it in a mostly supplementary fashion to aid her in battle alongside her powerful taijutsu skills.

As a sole practitioner of Taijutsu Asuka has relentlessly pushed her body against itself for spectacular results: her strength carries over into her speed, and as such alongside the control she exerts body in spirit and in mind, she is intensely faster than those of a similar level of strength and maneuvering expertly as if the air were an extension of her own body.

During Asuka's time as a genin the youth had begun to realize that in order to excel as a shinobi she needed to learn how to properly utilize her chakra. And while she doesn't posses the greatest of reserves the youth has learned through rigorous meditation how to keep her chakra still and calm. As a result she is now able to wield it with a great deal of control and is able to channel only the necessary amounts of chakra into the few jutsu she uses in order to make the most of their abilities whilst still being able to keep up in a fight.

It had been a long while since Asuka had been on a higher ranked mission. He was a medic, yes, but far from being designated as a combat medic. He didn’t get out on higher level missions like this, usually. It was rather unusual for him to have been called for a mission of this calibre, but he still took it on nonetheless. His partner for this mission shared his name, which might’ve been amusing to someone else. To Asuka, the headache it would cause the client was a reason for the faintest of concerns.

Taking on an A rank would be liberating to him, in a sense. He loved his village, it was his home, but he often ended up going stir-crazy with the lack of missions outside of the village. Even people like him needed to get out from time to time!

Well, he supposed he’d gotten what he’d asked for. Making his way to the station, the man checked his pockets to make sure all of his equipment remained packed and ready. It wouldn’t do to have his medkit or his weapons left behind, least of all since he didn’t have many powerful jutsu to hit with should he need them! Though he hoped his partner would be able to take care of the hard hitting portions. He was just there to keep people alive. Though if he ended up having to reattach anybody’s limbs, he was going to be very cross. He could do it, sure, but it always took an insane amount of chakra from his relatively small pool. He didn’t have a whole ton to spare.

Making his way into the building, the jounin settled in to wait for his partner so they could get to work.

Perfected Control (Chakra Control)
Asuka has never had huge chakra reserves like many clanned shinobi. Because of this, over years of practice and training in the medical field, he’s gained a more efficient understanding and use of his own chakra. His control is greatly enhanced, enabling him to more effectively make use of his smaller reserves.

Medical Training
Asuka was a medic long before he was a sensei, and has been training and learning for medical procedures for 16 years. His abilities and comprehension are high enough to perform basic procedures and surgeries with or without chakra, though of course chakra and jutsu usage help greatly. His understanding of medicine in general enables him to perform more complicated procedures with the aid of his chakra.

Oceanic Child
The Ama clan is one known for it’s high adaptability and overall survivability underwater. Asuka has gained a high mastery of his clan’s aquatic abilities after years as an active shinobi and avid lover of water, and because of this, can use them to an even higher degree than many of his peers. Beyond simply being able to breathe and speak underwater, or withstand the oceanic pressure, Asuka’s body is practically made for the water. As thus, while using his clan’s aquatic adaptation (and only while using his clan’s aquatic adaptation, his streamlined scales allow him a rather unique resistance to wide-scale Suiton attacks, slippery enough that lower ranked techniques simply slip past him, or cause less harm than they normally would.

Toxicology Research
As a medic, Asuka has been training for 16 years to learn to heal as many things as possible. Among the other things he has researched and learned to heal, he has studied poisons and their effects rather closely. Because of this extensive research, he is able to create antidotes for poisons, venoms and toxins he has a sample of, after observing the effects of said poison at least once. Higher ranked poisons take longer observation periods, and lower ranked poisons take less time to analyze.

Aquatic Stealth Training
Not dissimilar to the technique commonly used by ANBU everywhere, Asuka’s training with water-related activities has enabled him to create his own version of the technique. In water his stealth is all but unparalleled, making him able to move silently and efficiently. Diving into water hardly produces a ripple or even a slight noise, and underwater he’s found himself able to blend into the various shadows with ease, making it much harder to find him in deep or murky water.

With everything properly set in good working order the youth would make her way towards the front of the station where she was set to meet her partner for the day someone who shared her same name, she’d spot them noticing their hair and features he was easy on the eyes but unfortunately the girl wasn’t aware that she wasn’t exactly barking up the right tree nor was she in the best place to do given what was about to happen. She’d walk up towards them keeping a friendly smile on her face but the redness might’ve been apparent if she was looking.

"Well at least it won’t be easy to forget your name.” the girl would say with a smile. "I’ll be your partner for today I’m Asuka, Waruichi Asuka.” the girl would bow to the medic wanting to make a solid impression. "Pleased to meet you.” the girl would say her tone was soft and pleasant a tad different form the usual shinobi fare within Kirigakure much expected from a school teacher who also happen to moonlight as an officer of the law.

She stood dressed in her uniform which looked a tad different from those of a normal Kirigakure shinobi with a strap around her bicep that denoted the Kirigakure police force logo.

With introductions out of the way - or not - the mission would take the individuals further into the city as opposed to out. Usually A-Rank missions started somewhere far away, but in this case, this one started inside. Some of the worst things happened underneath the nose, unfortunately. The coordinates for the nobles home were given and so now it was time to navigate there. It was definitely in the upper-class district of the village.

Upon arrival, they would notice that this place was for one, quite large and impressive. Unsurprising, considering that it was *literally* a nobles estate. But it was traditional, and that much was clear by its layout. Not much in Mizu no Kuni was modernist as in Amegakure. The world here still had some soul and many locals preferred it this way.

Their arrival was noted by a guard who was standing by there, who seemed to know that someone was coming to check on the situation or at least investigate it.

"The lord is in his study, have one of the servants ask for him." He grumbled gruffly before the gates opened and they were allowed inside where some servants were milling about trying to get supper ready and for things to be pristine.

Perhaps they should ask one of them?

With the mission having begun the girl would make her way towards the manor of the gentlemen in question who made the request he seemed to be rather wealthy and had quit a few servants at their beck n call. Not unlike Lady Kiko back when she was still the leader of the clan.

That however was an investigation for a different day. As she was invited inside the girl would look to the servants who were present approaching one of them. "What a lovely home the master has." the girl would remark as she took in the surroundings it was no wonder someone would want to pilfer a place such as this given how regal its surroundings are.

"My apologies for the hardship you suffered I'm Asuka Waruichi with the Suiryu Buntai, is there anything you can potentially tell me about what happened here during the robbery?" the girl would ask hoping to get any sort of clue that would allow them to know just what it was that may have gone down here.

Servants are constantly present within the home sure one of them must've seen something? There were no suspects from what they knew and not even so much as a description simply a notice of a robbery

Most of the servants kept on milling past Asuka without paying the girl much mind, they seemed to be quite busy and without being asked directly they had no intentions of stopping. There were guards everywhere, and they assumed - foolishly or not - that anyone who wandered in must have been approved by a guard, especially during the daylight hours as it were now.

One singular young girl moved past Asuka just as she asked her question. She had dark brown hair and rather wide brown eyes, much like a doe. She blinked a few times at the older girl, looking at her with a hint of concern woven into her brows.

"Erm, it is an honor Asuka-san," She gave a bow out of respect, whether it was an honor or not did not matter too much in this given situation.

"I was asleep, but there surely was a lot of noise and a lot of broken things on the south side of the manor. I cannot be of more help, unfortunately." She gave one more little bow before tucking away into a corridor to continue on with her duties.

Asuka could continue stopping servants for more clues about what might have happened, or she could potentially go to the south side of the manor to explore that area further the decision was ultimately hers to make.

After hearing from the young woman in regards to what she had heard the night prior she had been informed that there was a loud commotion as well as a great deal of broken things within the manor. She still had more questions and so she approached another servant to ask them a question.

"Excuse me...would you happen to know if any servants were assigned to work on the southern side of the manor on the night of the burglary and if so would you know which of the servants it was that was there?" the girl would produce a notebook as well as a small pen in order to take down and relevant notes on the case in question.

Surely with so many servants someone would've had to have seen something and if so it would make for a more concrete investigation if there an eye witness to the events in question. She had heard that there was a great deal of noise and broken items and tried to formulate an image of what may have happened. As the wheels in her head began to turn she waited to get a response from the servant that she had directed her questions toward hoping that he could prove useful to her.

The next servant looked a bit more perturbed to be halted in the way of her work. Their master clearly was not one who let them take breaks outside of certain hours based on the demeanor of the first girl and now this one - who had more bite to her by the looks of her - was not one wanting to be stopped in her tracks to be investigated. Even if it was an investigation, it was at the end of the more of an irritation than anything else.

"No, honestly we all sleep at night. The only servants on-call are the lords personal servants but they too sleep unless the lord needs something. We have no fighting skills none of us are going to rush towards danger." She responded before hastily turning away and moving back towards her work.

Asuka was left once more with the decision to either continue questioning servants, with the time ticking away, or she could go and investigate the actual scene of the crime. There was another detail that Asuka might be glossing over, perhaps she should retrace what had been told to her by the guards?

There were of course other options, but that was totally up to Asuka to determine in this large expansive home.
