Chakra radar OWNER: Aihara Ryoko RANK: B CLASSIFICATION: Supplementary ELEMENT: N/A RESTRICTIONS: Aihara Ryoko DESCRIPTION: It looks to be something akin to an oversized pocket watch at first glance, however it is much more than it seems.  The two most obvious traits are its large 'display screen', and the fairly straight forward button on its top.  The screen is a lusterless green matrix of unidentified materials contained behind a solid disc of hardened crystal with a grid etched into it.   The face of the 'watch' is contained within a simple enough silver case that, while scratched and scuffed, bears no engravings or embellishment.   When active the green matrix lights up with little glowing dots of different color frequently shining on it. ABILITIES: This device has only two powers.  The first is to sense chakra passively, and the second is to display that information on a very basic display.  While this sounds simple in application, the device is more complicated than it first looks.  While the device will always sense chakra out to it's maximum range, the button on top of the display allows the user to change the maximum range displayed, and thus the resolution of the display.  Each push of the button will filter between Off - Short - Medium - Long then back to off, in that order.   No matter the range chosen the sensor only provides very basic information.  It shows location with a blip, and shows general strength of the signal depending on the size of the chakra supply.  It can not differentiate between different signals nor sense elemental natures, but it can detect sudden spikes and dips in power.   The ranges at which this device senses are as follows: Low - 25m Medium - 100m High - 500m It should be noted that due to the number of living organisms that might have chakra around, the device has been designed in a way to ensure that normal chakra levels weaker than a civilian's are ignored.  Even novice academy students might fail to register on the device.  Likewise, as its longer ranges the resolution of the blips location becomes much lower.  Only at its shortest range will it accurately display a target's location within a few inches.

Quite honestly, I'm not sure there's justification for Ryoko to have this, nor for it to really exist at all. Let me go through my notes:

-Why would this be Ryoko exclusive? Did she create it? If so, how? She doesn't have any specific focus on tinkering or being technologically inclined as an SA or a usual part of her character. She doesn't have a sensory SA or any demonstrated proficiency in sensory, so how would she know how to integrate that into a piece of technology?

-The way that Chakra Sensing functions as a physical concept is that an individual reaches out with their own chakra to feel the chakra of others. As that is, how does this device replicate that process? What is it made out of that can sense chakra waves? It would need to be made out of a special material or undergo a specialized process in order to develop that ability, which is a skill set it doesn't seem Ryoko would have specialized access to.
