[Jun Etsuko]

Etsuko was a bit surprised by the numbers of this group, but it seemed she'd lured in a large amount of the attention. Her plan would seem to work quite fine as the first few came in and swung at her, their weapons unable to survive the metal plates which weighted her cloak. However, they'd still have the ability to aim for her head, to which she wouldn't let them succeed.

Instead the first attack at her head would cause her to duck into her cloak like a turtle. Lifting the cloak with her motion, she'd pull backwards and out of her own cloak. As she'd essentially toss the heavy weights onto the bandit who tried to hit her. No longer protected by the cloak, Etsuko would draw two of her swords. They weren't anything crazy, but they also weren't makeshift. They'd stand against the enemies weapons fine.

She'd however not really try to test her blades against there's instead, she'd take another step back away from the bandits. Her hands whipping both swords, as though they kunai to the individuals furthest left and right of the group attacking her. No longer restrained by weights her already impressive speed would increase. A speed none of those attacking had seen, so in a hope of surprise she'd shoot left.

Rushing to the weapon thrown left, she'd attempt to rip the weapon from it's target. That or if it was dodged retrieve it mid flight, then proceed to flank the left side with furious swings. She put little technique behind them, but instead simply struck with such speed and violence it'd hopefully bewilder and frighten those approaching. Stir them to scream more and call for help.

Etsuko's clone still focused on covering the genin's back. Anyone who'd be able to slip behind them or attempt more attacks than could be handled. The clone would rush in for a quick stab and push to remove the opponent from combat.

As Etsuko and Nari engaged the bandits, their calculated and swift movements carved through the air and the opposition with equal measure.

Nari, for his part, faced the aggression of three bandits with a calm that belied his experience. The turquoise spear moved with him in a dance of defense and attack, parrying blows and seeking vulnerabilities with a practitioner's eye. His engagement was a test of his skill as well as a demonstration of it, showcasing his ability to adapt and overcome in the face of outnumbered odds.

The clone Etsuko had created was a force on the battlefield, striking down foes who sought to attack from shadows and unseen angles. It acted as both shield and sword for Nari, ensuring that no harm would come to him from those he could not see. This allowed the young genin to concentrate his efforts on those before him, trusting that his back was covered.

Yet, even as Nari thought that the tide was turning in their favor, the sound of the conflict echoed through the hollows of the Great Tree, a beacon for those that might be still hidden within its depths. The immediate threat might have been in the process of being quelled, but the noise they were making could, and probably would, bring the attention of whoever else may be hidden within the hollows.

  A young member of the scattered Araikettei Clan, Narihira has the ability to wield the strange and powerful Life Blades. He created his own Blade at a young age, under the tutelage of his mother, however, instead of making a sword as was common for the Clan members, Narihira designed his in the shape of a polearm.

  Giving it the name Hisuiyuri, he began learning to properly wield it from the moment he could hold it. Due to the connection the blade shares with him, should it ever be broken, both Narihora and the blade's soul would die, so he keeps it on his person at all times and cares for it meticulously.
• 『Deep Chakra Pool』[break]
  Narihira was lucky to be born with a deeper-than-average chakra pool. It allows him to fight and use jutsu for longer periods of time before he tires, compared to those with average-sized chakra pools. It's especially useful for him, due to the fact that his Life Blade is constantly absorbing chakra from him. But thanks to the depth of his stores, he never feels the strain from that drain unless he has depleted the polearm's stores in combat.
• 『Life Blade Chakra』[break]
  As all Life Blades, Hisuiyuri absorbs Nari's chakra continuously as he carries it around, stacking up a decent amount of chakra inside of itself equal to half its wielder's chakra pool. The chakra becomes Hisuiyuri's and cannot be accessed by anyone other than the spear, allowing it to have the ability to self-repair small nicks and scratches it may obtain during combat.

  It also allows Hisuiyuri to have its own built-in security in case someone other than Nari grabs onto it. Using its futon chakra, sharp blades of wind will strike at the stranger's hands and arms until they release the spear. These gouges are minor cuts but they do sting quite a bit if they manage to hit skin.

  When entering combat, Hisuiyuri will use its own stores to fuel its abilities until it runs out and then will begin taking from Narihira. Thanks to his deeper-than-average chakra pools the wielder and weapon are able to go for a decent length of time-fighting in that state, but eventually, it will cause Nari to lose consciousness if the spear takes too much chakra.
• 『Flying Jades』[break]
  Using its natural affinity to fūton, Hisuiyuri is able to detach the six small jade points that line the sides of its spearhead and allow them to hover. By sacrificing the shredding ability the points usually grant the spear, Narihira is able to fire them off either one-by-one or all at once towards his opponents.

  At it's current skill level, Hisuiyuri's points move at a speed slightly quicker than a regular thrown kunai, due to being powered by fūton chakra and Narihira's able to control the path the points take up to 30m.

The bandit on whom Etsuko bestowed her armor was most certainly not expecting such a large weight to come crashing on him, and he went down almost immediately. As the jinchuuriki drew her swords, the bandits who were still standing charged again, but it was all in vain; they were unable to even keep up with her as she took them by surprise with the improved speed she had gained from removing her weighted cloak. Soon, they began to realize that this was a battle they could not win. One or two still tried to put up some resistance, but a couple of them threw down their weapons and fled for the forest.

The ones who faced off against the Genin were faring no better, and soon they began to fall back, trying to get out of the range of the boy's flying jade shards. Another vain attempt on their part. Soon, they were running, which did nothing for them but present them as defenseless targets as they fled.

All of a sudden, a loud bellow reverberated through the area. "Cowards! Stand and fight!" From within the great root of the tree charged a bull of a man wielding a huge saw-like blade. His eyes locked on Etsuko, and he charged at her, swinging at her neck. Meanwhile, the others who were running away seemed to rally back, obviously scared of this new arrival. They began to try to surround Narihira and Etsuko's clone, as a couple of them threw makeshift spears at their targets.
