Event NPC’s: Cultists Posting Time: 72 Hours Event Background Recent reports in the land of snow speak of a beast of tremendous power tearing through men and women. Half man, half monster, it has terrified the people enough to contract the shinobi of Yukigakure to come deal with the beast. But what is truly behind these vicious rumors? Over the past 5 years, a cult has slowly been growing in prominence throughout many of the nations. A woman by the name of Yurai has been showing miraculous feats of power and medical miracles, and with a magnetic charisma, and powerful warriors by her side, she has amassed a small army of loyal followers believing her claims of being a living god.  Most notable of these miraculous abilities is a mysterious seal she has bestowed upon some of her most powerful and loyal followers, a cursed seal that has gifted them with beyond powers far beyond any regular shinobi. The curse of the seal being the monstrous appearance of these enhanced shinobi, and the ravages it takes upon their sanity, seeing them become much more unhinged and violent over time. The power given to them and the appearance they’re cursed with leading many to see them as nothing more than monsters. To Yurai and her followers however this is seen as a great blessing, and a chance to be seen as a true acolyte of the Gokuraku.  This cult has been gathering attention in the outskirts of the land of snow, purposefully courting the ire of the shinobi village, hoping to draw out Yukigakure’s Jinchuriki so that they may capture them and get to the bijuu within. These bijuu are seen by the Gokuraku as false idols, representations of the corrupted nature of the shinobi world. True monsters that need to be destroyed so that the shinobi world can see the true paradise that Yurai has to offer them.  Drawing out the Jinchuriki is simply one step of the greater plan to ensure the capture of the Bijuu. Cultists have been watching Yukigakure for months, preparing for a full attack that will crush the walls of Yukigakure and draw the attention of the full might of its shinobi forces.
