The Senju listened to the name dropped by. Shogo, the Aburame that he had slain not too long ago. Their words confirmed about what he knew and what he had speculated, this was a seemingly more complex operation than what initial reports could've suggested. And it seemed it had attracted many traitor shinobi that had either escaped through the cracks of the village grasp or continued in the village in their capacity as a double agent, providing information necessary in moment of personal. The fact that they had even knew that it was likely him that was giving them so much trouble was somewhat worrying, but at the very least he could around their preparation. Deciding that this lot had been as useful as possible, he began to slip away in the darkness, placing another tag on a crate as he began to move further into the camp, he moved through the pockets of darkness, counting on his armour keeping him hidden, and his timing to keep him out of harms way. He heard voices here and there until he would finally reach to the tent that was in the middle of the encampment, hoping to perhaps find further information. Dashing to the side of the tend, he would look around, the scent of smoke being slightly more present in the proximity of the tent. He supposed it had something to do with the smoke that rose from middle of the tent. It was either a location of meeting, or it was the tent of whoever held command of this outpost. The likelihood of him being attacked if he entered was high, but he needed to find out all information he could. Leaving one more tag, Kazuto would make his way inside the tent, using all his skills to keep himself concealed, finding himself behind a form of cabinet, as he hoped to listen to anything worthwhile.

Kazuto, with the aid of his armour, managed to sneak into the main command tent, and when he did so, he saw on the table a few correspondences, one of which was more intriguing.

"We managed to secure the contract from the Bloody Maelstrom. I don't know why she offered the aid, but it aligns with out objectives. Kaito should be able to use it to the fullest extent due to his large chakra pool, so we will station him on the watch tower on the way here."

Nobody signed the letter, but it had a particular handwriting. The mention of the Bloody Maelstrom was also something Kazuto would likely be able to recognized, as it was a world famous moniker for a strong and deadly Mist shinobi, Hozuki Kyouka. But before he could delve any deeper through the letters, someone had entered the tent without making a sound, and with a drawn blade, they would charge, trying to stab Kazuto on the chest. The only sign of the attack would've been the reflection of the light inside of the tent on the steel of the blade, thus giving the Senju a very small window to try and avoid the attack.

He narrowed his eyes at the mention of the name. He had heard it before of course, for only ignorance would prevent him to associate such bloody handed moniker with Hozuki Kyouka. The name alone commanded respect if not fear from peers and lessers. Kazuto had never encountered her, but he had found evidence of whirlwind of gore that she could be in the form of massacres and colleagues that he had found felled by her... Well he couldn't call that thing a blade, could he? The fact that these group and here were colluding made him wonder if this cell of traitors was also backed from Kirigakure, if so that was an even more troubling development. Yet, before any thought or consideration was given, his eyes caught the glint of an object moving towards him. Muscle memory would take over, knees bending, muscles flexing as the Senju would rotate on his own axis as the sharp object would miss its mark, the individual who wielded it would in turn continue, taken ahead by their momentum as instead of a killing stroke what would be delivered was a silent stab to the very air. The muscles on his dominant forearm would then activate as he began to end his spin out of the way. His arm began to punch to the back of his assailant, as the hidden mechanisms of the hidden blade built in his gauntlet activated and a sharp object of his own sought to stab at the back of the neck, seeking to sever the spine and arteries, seeking to give his foe a clean death. On his other hand, the Senju would begin to form the principles of a seal, ready as he began to plan his own fighting retreat.

Gifted with a considerable physical presence, the Senju has taken his gifts and combined them with effort, dedication and patience. Thanks to this he has emerged as an Adept of Taijutsu, as such while he cannot claim his abilities don't quite rival those who can claim to be true masters of the art, he can confidently fight other taijutsu users. Making use of the Ascendant Fist style as the foundation of his prowess with taijutsu, he has become able strike his foes with great strength and precision in close quarters with great expertise.


Might of Heroes


Descendant of a great lineage, the blood of great and legendary heroes of the clan courses through the veins of Kazuto as they do with any other Senju. As such he has been bestowed with robust pools of chakra upon his birth. Through intense training and countless missions these pools of chakra have expanded quite considerably, becoming a Furnace of Might within him, allowing him to fight for longer periods of time and casting powerful techniques without much concern to run out of stamina. Although this chakra makes his control suffer, his impressive reserves make up for this deficit in control.

Paragon of War

His mind is as keen and sharp as blade recently sharpened by a whetstone. Through the learning of tactics, records, on field experience and on the fly ingenuity, the Senju is able to plan before, during and after a fierce fray. It is thanks to this that he can discern the correct course of action and what stratagems and actions should he take. He is able to read and keep the Flow of Battle as flexible as possible. His tactics range from the most subtle ambush within dark corridors to even the most brutal and grim battlefield.

Fell-Handed

After much study and training, Kazuto achieved the ability to weave hand seals and cast techniques with just One Hand. A rare skill among shinobi and a sign of great prowess, the Senju is able to form hand signs forgoing the need to bring the digits of both his hands together, he is able to string a number of techniques without worrying during a fray to be unable to complete techniques if someone targets his hand, as he is able to defend himself with the off-hand by either the use of a technique or by wielding a weapon.

Atramentar

An adept of shadows, Kazuto has shown himself to be quite proficient in the art of Assassination. He acts as a clinical apparition as he moves towards his enemies, driven by a relentless and ruthless zeal to dispatch his target and those that stand between him and his quarry with a cold and calculated fury that is unleashed in quick bursts as he launches himself against the enemy, striking fear as he leaves an ever present trail of vanquished enemies behind and very few, if any enemies behind at all.

Using his quick reflexes and muscle memory, Kazuto managed to turn his body just in time to allow it to get out of the way of the blade. As the body of his opponent passed beside him, he would use one of his blade to stab the man in the neck, hitting right there. But before any blood could be spilled, the man vanished in a poof of smoke. It was definitely corporeal, which meant it was a Shadow Clone. Kazuto would waive some of his hand seals before another attack came his way from the other side of the tent. Ripping through the fabric, the same man came, shouting as he tried to stab Kazuto in the chest once again, using the knowledge gained by the demise of his Shadow Clone. "I've got you now!!" the man shouted as he attacked.

This time, however, he wasn't just using a simple stabbing attack, but a rather potent and fast one, the Multiplying Thrust, hoping that, if the first one wouldn't hit, the ones following it would. It was a planned all-out attack, hoping to swiftly take down the Senju. But the situation was only growing worse, as the sound of approaching steps alerted Kazuto of reinforcements. What would he do now?

And then, nothing. Rather than blood flowing, bone crunching, sinew and muscle ripping. His reward was the poof of smoke and the sound of fabric ripping, foot steps crunching the soil below and the words of a new enemy that moved in for him. Time wasn't an ally, in fact it was against him and the only thing he could fathom anything to counter. Retreating was his only option. As the blade would threaten to pierce his flesh, to make his body weep his vitae with every multiple stroke, the blade would then hit nothing at all but the air where the Senju had been standing, the sudden rush of reinforcements would see little else but their likely leader having reaped no reward. The Senju returned to reality by the tree in which he had left his mark, his breathing agitated by the exertion and the almost certain deadly situation that he had encountered in those brief, ephemeral moments that had seemed to be an eternity ago. As his eyes would drift towards the encampment now busy with activity, he knew it was likely that they would begin to move to search for him and that they would come in force. With that in mind Kazuto would forge a single seal, prompting the tags that he had placed to activate. From the distance, the encampment was a lit torch, its light spilling towards the dim dimness of the stars above. Suddenly, three blossoms of light would emerge, lightning like bright stars ripped from the firmament. Flames would begin to spread in the encampment, moving form tend to tend, threatening to trigger any other volatile material contained within the camp. Crouching by the tree, using his armour as cover, the Senju hoped that the chaos would be enough to take enough from the enemy to sap their will for continued combat. Yet a part of him, knew that they come for him and he would need to be ready.

The distraction created by the explosive tags had more than given reason for alarm. It also gave presence to an intruder having managed to gain access to their camp. It was now clear that people would begin searching for the cause and also attempting to try and handle the damage done around them. The glimmer of sparks from the impacted areas, along with the growing plums of smoke would give some delay, but it would be limited by how long it took to maintain, and just what Kazuto wished to accomplish in that time. With damage having been done, and his own chakra limited by what he had, he had few options in how he wished to proceed. After all, there was still the monstrous summon that awaited should he try and approach the way he had come. But there was also the mounting reinforcements at the camp, and while it may have appeared inefficient upon his arrival, the alarm razed by his explosive response would only draw the creature to it, and already the low hum in the distance was proof that the beast was being drawn, much like a moth to a great flame.

His options remained varied, but they were still available to him...

He could retreat, taking the information he had gained and using that to mount a far better response for the future. But that would indeed take time, and it was clear what the company wished to accomplish in making the East more vulnerable. Or he could take his chances and try and advance to redirect this attack, which would draw attention even more to his cause. But in his state, he would have be challenged with an army, and his chances were poor if not impossible to gain success in such a venture. Still, with time short and the army only delayed by having to handle the damage from his distraction, Kazuto had only so much time and so much chakra to decide just how to proceed with his mission. But what lingered in wait for him? He had seen that his attacker was clearly proficient and he may not get a second chance to escape as he had before should he encounter him and the beast together.

As soon as his hoped had flared, they were dashed from him. As flames spread from tent to tent, he could listen to the call of order in the camp. His hand instinctively dropping down to pocket, retrieving a pill, that he swallowed. The bitter tasting cocktail flared within him as soon as he had eaten it, and his reserves that had been dimming returning to their full capacity, even so, he still felt a remnant of the fatigue from the last fight. As he lay low in the long grasses, his mind began to plot, to consider, to carry on his next move. Yet as soon as he began to consider, he heard an all familiar droning, a sign that 'old friend' was coming. That made matters more difficult. Even with his reserves replenished, he didn't think he could manage to fight both an army that was amassing and the unholy fusion of man and insect that had fought him and retreated to mend its wounds. A retreat was the only option left, not one that liked, but if he could fight again and in truth, he could chose in the way he retreated. If he could not control the 'board' then he would smash it. His eyes focused on the flame lit camp, a hand began to make a set of hand signs, as he tapped into the gifts locked in his arcane genetic alchemy. His ears reminding him of the coming thread of the beast he had managed to injure but not kill. Suddenly, the earth within and around the camp shook violently, the earth broke violently as five gigantic hands emerged like the limbs of a birthing god. Each falling down as they sought to strike down the camp, each massive palm strike caving in the hill and making the surrounding area shake violently. He hoped that would have taken them all out, or at least cripple a majority of the stationed shinobi and the reinforcements. With that he began to make his way out, fingers creating another set of hand signs as he would begin his retreat.

After performing the required hand seals, the user sends Chakra through the ground, creating up to five gigantic wooden hands that sprout upward from beneath the earth and manipulate at will. These hands are fifteen meters tall. They proceed to surround their target and try to restrict their body and if caught possibly crush the opponent or act as a defensive barrier that can protect the user with the inherited strength that Mokuton has. Unlike other techniques that create a complete construct, this is a simpler technique that benefits on surprising the opponent in order to seize them.

Perhaps not the way in which Kazuto wished to end his mission, but perhaps for the best with even the limited grace given by the solider pill would provide him with very little considering the magnitude of his exit strategy. With the sudden appearance of massive hands within the flaming camps, those that were trying to handle such a dilemma were quickly diverted to attempting to shift attention to the attack coming from below. It was chaos, men scattering to try and get away, others trying their best to fight back, but as more and more of the camp began to sink deeper in the ground, so did the glow of the flames that engulfed it as it appeared that the deed had been done.

Whether more of the army remained was hardly a concern as Kazuto began to make his escape. Though what trailed behind him would likely cause some difficulty. With the buzzing growing louder, it appeared as if it may have been delayed due to the loss of light, but the creature was still out there, and it would likely come for Kazuto the moment his presence was made apparent. Yet the massive danger of the mosquito beast was not the immediate threat, as with Kazuto's attempt to flee, a single kunai would cross his path, revealing the previous attacker from before having come to intercept.

"You won't get away this time!!"

As if attempting to gain their attention, if only briefly in their pursuit, the figures hands would begin to form a seal, soon working to place the shinobi within a Genjutsu upon seeing his position. If successful, Kazuto would find the sky turning increasingly crimson, the air becoming far more thin, and his surroundings becoming inflamed. What followed as that of a massive ball of flames, surging down upon his position, the rays of white light flickering around it's spiraling center as it zeroed in on him. It was no more than a distraction of course, but the sensation would hopefully be all the man needed. He simply had to slow him down, and from there, finish what he started in dealing with this intruder.

He heard the sounds of the hands striking the camp, the sounds of frightened men and women trying to escape the strike of the massive hands, those that had been crushed by it dying and the collapse of earth as whatever reinforcements that came were scattered, scared enough to fight and scared enough to disperse and be less of a thread now. He only had to leave, his mind returning to the buzz from insectoid wings that had become stronger but now waned as the flames that had engulfed the camp had been smothered. He didn't any triumph for that. Yet, before any thought would be given a single flash of metal flew in his path. His fingers finished the seal he had been making, his chakra creating a handful of lotus blossoms in the grasp of his hands. His mind racing as it tried to rationalize why the kunai that had been tossed towards him hadn't struck, understanding that it had been an act of distraction, to detain him, to make him look at him as his opponent would prepare a technique to snare him. In a reflex, the Senju tossed the first of buds in the same direction of the kunai came, taking the moment his assailant wasted in speaking as a form of advantage. The bud struck the grass, breaking the petals as a golden haze would emerge rapidly and would begin to engulf the man in the sweet nebulae. Kazuto would continue, not stopping to engage the target in the terms his opponent wanted but in those that he desired, hands attempting to toss the blossom shaped grenades close to him as to create another column of pollen as he approached the edge of the forest, a hand beginning to frantically weaving the hand signs as his chakra began to surge and flare once more within him as he would prepare for his next move.

After weaving the corresponding hand signs, the user creates up to three lotus buds, its petals enclosed into the rough form of conical form. The grenades themselves are not durable, instead they filled with the same pollen found in Mokuton: Kajukai Kōrin [Wood Release: Advent of a World of Flowering Trees], as the petals break off they release a thick cloud of this pollen that covers a perimeter of fifteen meters, the technique is useful as it allows the user to cover their escape or advance, as well as it presents a danger to the opponent that inhales the pollen as it would render them unconscious in mere instances acting as a determent to advance into the cloud of pollen however like the parent technique, an enemy afflicted with this technique can overcome its effects if they have enough willpower, the effect of pollen lasts three turns. As the turn advance and the cloud disperses it loses its potency, its radius shrinking by five meters every turn until it completely disperses, this technique lasts for three turns.

The swift nature of Kazuto's response had not been expected and for the Jounin to react would have required him to not have already engaged his full attention into casting his Genjutsu. Sadly, even within the moments before the bud had been released, it was too late for him to do anything save for fall. His body slumped in mid-pursuit, sliding across the ground as a crumbled mess, only groaning as he drifted into a state of absence. Unaware that his target was still fleeing. The counter had indeed worked, but it did not change the path of the giant insect, whom was now having arrived at what remained of the smoldering scene.

Kazuto, still fleeing the area, would not look back, but could hear the cry of the creature, the subtle echoes of those having survived give orders, and the muffled crumbling of the camp as it continued to collapse.

This could be seen as a victory on the shinobi's part, but he had only gained more information on their plans and now would come the part of how to proceed. Yet, perhaps that was a fight for another time. One that would hopefully be supported by others rather than a lone individual.

As the figure of the bug man would begin to fade, Kazuto would find his escape now at hand. The distance between the area and himself decreasing with each passing moment. Soon, he'd be back on safer grounds, and the journey home would be all that remained for the weary nin.

And the man fell, trapped by the nebulae of sweet scented pollen, falling to the ground as Kazuto made his step into the forest. His fingers making the final seals of the technique he been forging as once more fingers ruptured the soil there the man had been, seeking to curl around him as they encircled him and attempted to crush him. Additional hands would emerge, striking at the soil around the man as the sound of the giant wings an insect sounded against the backdrop of the earth churning. Surely the man had died, the one that had given him chase. Their camp had been destroyed, the tower had been rendered asunder as a mere ruin and the garrison had been crippled, tossed to the fate of the winds, maimed or killed. As he would make his retreat, he knew that he had gathered information and he had dealt a blow to this rogue organization from which they would take time to recover. It was the hope at the very least. As he continued to make his way back, keeping himself close to the forest, he would take his final steps away and would slip into the darkness, taking in this moment as an assurance that his mission had been a fruitful endeavor. And thus he would be able to return to the village.

DECRIPTION:
After performing the required hand seals, the user sends Chakra through the ground, creating up to five gigantic wooden hands that sprout upward from beneath the earth and manipulate at will. These hands are fifteen meters tall. They proceed to surround their target and try to restrict their body and if caught possibly crush the opponent or act as a defensive barrier that can protect the user with the inherited strength that Mokuton has. Unlike other techniques that create a complete construct, this is a simpler technique that benefits on surprising the opponent in order to seize them.
