There is only one path left to take.

Kasumi had made a few realizations in the last few weeks, which were stemming from her lack of things to do. Training to be useful to the village was fine and all, but she was starting to suspect that she wanted even more than that. Her brain was rather simple, though, so if she wanted to be better than just useful then... well, the answer was obvious.

She wanted to be the best.

Now, as foolish as she tended to be, even she knew she couldn't be the best at everything. She had no talent for Genjutsu and was only mediocre in Taijutsu. So if she wanted to be the best at something, she'd have to specialize a bit.

That's when it hit her. She wanted to be the best swordsman in the world. There were things that she needed to settle first, primarily basic training. She needed to be stronger and faster than people. She'd done some strength training already, but was far from seeing her results fully manifest.

The thing she needed the most was a plan. Who better to go to than her first teacher ever?

"Oi," Kasumi called, knocking on Asuka's door loudly, "you there 'Suka? I need yer help again."

Something about training with other people always made her feel a little more at ease and when she was at ease she found results easier than ever to get.

Kasumi has become known for her strange chakara form. When in a dire situation, she is capable of releasing her chakra, which in turn takes a strange color unlike the normal blue color of chakra, and takes the form of a demonic cat figure. She is then enveloped in a demon shroud.

This ability grants her a fierce looking aura, that may come off as intimidating and a tenacity to push beyond their normal limits physically- when this mode is activated, Kasumi is harder to knock out or kill and will generally fight for longer than a normal body is capable of.

It had been a few weeks since Asuka had stepped down from her teaching job, now with more free time the young girl had been focusing on herself much more, personalizing her workouts and even making herself a new wardrobe, but currently she wasn’t actually at home, the girl was out for a morning run and had been sprinting around the village for about the last 40 or so minutes having made a route for herself that she was comfortable traveling.

Now that she was done with her long distance venture the youth would make her way back home, the home stretch however as she made her way back home the girl would spot Kasumi right outside of her apartment. "Heeey!” the girl would call out she’d leap from where she stood. "Kasumi down here!” after a moment the girl would make her way up to the floor where she stood and practically vauled over the railing, she seemed different her personality and the way she carried herself like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders.

This was even reflected in her outfit and black and white body suit with a white scarf that while hard to see was a little murky from the morning mist and sweat on her body, her hair tied up in a ponytail. "What’s up!”

With the rigorous training that Asuka had to endure as she honed her body to levels of perfection rivaling that of any martial arts master. Asuka's strength has increased 10 fold to the point where she is able to crush stoned within her grasp and breaks bones of lesser individuals with ease. And while she still has much to learn as a chunin. The youth's power is not one to be challenged lightly, as she is able to perform physical feats that would seem inhuman to even most shinobi.

Asuka is a member of the Waruichi clan and as such has the ability to control a special chakra infused silk that was forged by a special group of silkworms that feed on the corpses of dead clansmen. With it Asuka can craft and shape the silk to her will and uses it in a mostly supplementary fashion to aid her in battle alongside her powerful taijutsu skills.

Iron Burst:
As a sole practitioner of Taijutsu Asuka has relentlessly pushed her body against itself for spectacular results: her strength carries over into her speed, and as such alongside the control she exerts body in spirit and in mind, she is intensely faster than those of a similar level of strength and maneuvering expertly as if the air were an extension of her own body.

During Asuka's time as a genin the youth had begun to realize that in order to excel as a shinobi she needed to learn how to properly utilize her chakra. And while she doesn't posses the greatest of reserves the youth has learned through rigorous meditation how to keep her chakra still and calm. As a result she is now able to wield it with a great deal of control and is able to channel only the necessary amounts of chakra into the few jutsu she uses in order to make the most of their abilities whilst still being able to keep up in a fight.

Kasumi made a face of disgust as she waited at the door for a few moments. Was Asuka out doing something? Tch. Kasumi spat to the side feeling some steam leave her hard headed plan. Hope, though, was on the horizon as she heard someone calling to her from below.

"Ah..?"

She looked down in time to spot Asuka just before she jumped. She didn't really get a chance to take in the new look until the older ninja vaulted the railing in one swift move. Kasumi would blatantly look her up and down, eyebrow raised.

"You're dressed different. Looks kinda neat. What's up with you these days anyway?" It rather dawned on Kasumi that she hadn't been very active in her friends life as of late. Well, in her defense she hadn't been active in much of anything lately.

Something that definitely had to change.

"I came here cuz I need yer help, and like, I know you're not a teacher anymore but like... well, I don't know you're good at helpin' y'know!"

Kasumi was wearing the jacket that her old sensei gave her as a gift, open and exposing the beginnings of some more muscle on her stomach.

"I'm tryin' to be the best swordsman in the world, and I though maybe you had tips on like a plan or something. I know you're strong too, so maybe like some workout tips?"

Kasumi would take a gander at Asuka’s new look commenting on how she was dressed differently. Asuka who still had plenty of energy would take a few moments to stretch holding onto the rail as she stretched her calves. "Oh what this, it’s actually an old outfit I just remade, nothing special.” the new clothes were indicative of the new her she’d been free to do whatever she felt as she waited for her team request to go through, she had asked her what was up with her.

"Not a lot, just been training I’ve been attempting to master a new technique for a few months now…but I’m not having a lot of luck, the gate guard has been running me ragged.” she’d say referring to the woman who she had recently met who’d been teaching her the secrets towards unlocking the first gate.

As the conversation continued, she’d remark that she needed some help despite Asuka not being a teacher she declared she wanted to be the best swordsman in the world and wanted some tips whilst showing the muscles on her stomach. "Well work outs are a bit tricky, but whatever you’re doing keep it up, you’ve got some nice definition, swordplay huh, well if you wanna improve you're strength I guess...” the girl would think for a second, rubbing her hand on her chin for a moment before snapping her fingers. "Oh I've got it! C'mon let’s get to the training ground!” with that the girl would step onto the railing and push herself off with her back foot shooting herself towards the rooftops before making her way to the training ground, causing the railing to jerk from her sudden motion.

It seemed that Kasumi wasn't the only one on a journey to master something new. Asuka hinted at hers, if only barely, but Kasumi wasn't going to pry about it. Hell, she had her own hidden techniques that she had kept up her sleeve. Since learning lightning she was expanding her arsenal significantly.

"Eh? Something in mind already. I told you you were good at this. Heh."

Asuka was off like lightning, with more energy than Kasumi had ever really remembered the sensei having in the past. Maybe quitting the school really had been an improvement for the her old teacher.

"Guess we start with cardio. Tch." Kasumi would follow along. Her own jump doing much less damage to the railing than Asuka's. Still she landed on the opposing rooftop with a rough thud. Grace and quiet were clearly out of her wheelhouse.

Good thing she decided she wanted to be the best swordsman. Not the best stealth assassin.

When they got to the training field, Kasumi would start stretching her arms out. Her shoulders cracking a bit as she rolled them. Her left hand rested on the hilt of her sword.

"Hn. So tell me, mighty Asuka, what the plan is. Hm?"

As they made their way towards the training field, the ground was slick and still wet with morning dew the girl would get another stretch out as her young friend traveled behind her and landed on the ground ith a little less grace. "Well definitely not cardio, you ran that like a champ!” she’d say as the looked to the girl she’d ask her what the plan is. "Well first things, first let’s test the cutting power of that blade of yours.” the girl would say as the Waruichi would craft a series of handseals in order to create a shadow clone.

On the surface it looked identical to Asuka but was actually made from the bandages that the girl had stored in her back pouch. "This mummy here is made from the weakest level of Waruichi Silk, not strong enough to stand up to one of the 7 swords but enough to be able to really put a stop to most kunai and even chakra enhanced weaponry.” she’d pat the clone on the shoulder before heading over to sit on a rock.

"Let’s see if you can hack it…hey that’s funny.” the girl would sit and wait to see if the girl had the cutting power to rip through the blade. "You should be able to get through this one pretty easily, give it your best shot." the girl would say as she waited for her to cut through the shadow clone, if she struck it she'd feel some give against the surface like she were cutting through thick wood a visually jarring site.

Kasumi did run like a champ, but the run was hardly nothing. She might have to consider working on her stamina someday soon, too. If she wanted to be the best swordsman in the world, she would need to be working with the best body in the world too. Speed, strength, stamina. Everything played a part... and everything made a piece of the puzzle she needed to be the best.

"Eh?" Kasumi queried, raising a brow at the simple training plan. "Cut up a clone? Heh. That should be a cakewalk. There ain't nothing in the world I can't cut up, y'know."

Kasumi exhumed confidence, but she did understand the significance of the silk. The silk of Asuka's clan was nothing to scoff at, some of it even stronger than steel. As much as she'd like to believe that she could cut through anything... well, she knew there were limits to reality.

For now, at least.

Perhaps the first step in her plan would be to find a way to cut through anything in the entire world. If that was the plan, then the weakest of silk from the powerful clan was a good start to achieving it.

"Just get the next one ready!" She said, running at it and drawing her sword. She swung it with full strength, her muscles tensing and preparing for the impact with the clone. Would she be able to slash it? If she gave it everything?

As the girl made her way towards the mummy and attempted to slash it the blade would slice through it, the clone splitting apart into bandages that would eventually try and grab at the girl. She seemed to be raring for the challenge Asuka liked that energy and as she slashed through it the clone would break apart into bandages that would attempt to latch onto the girl after having been destroyed.

Now was the true part of the test could she effectively destroy the threads before they nabbed her, she could simply jump back but due to her proximity she might have a bit of trouble but knowing how good of a swordsman she was Asuka was confident that she was able to cut them to ribbons. "You didn’t think it’d be that easy did you?” the girl would say as she watched the bandages move towards her.

"These are the Waruichi’s mummy clones when they’re cut they ensnare anything that comes near and they’re just as tough as the mummy itself, if you really want to get stronger you’ll need to work at it.” With the clone breaking apart it was up to Kasumi to try and avoid it, but if she truly wanted to test her strength she’d cut right through them.

Kasumi had, in fact, thought it'd be that easy when she cut the clone in half. When the bandages lashed out towards her in an attempt to capture her, it was only training and raw determination that kept her going. Her feet slid easily into the proper slashing position. It was her muscles that carried the show though. Flexing in an attempt to gather strength on such short notice.

Her sword came to the gripping bandages before they could hit her, slashing through with relative ease. It was a burst of strength as opposed to well rounded attack, one that Asuka would see even formed a few beads of sweat on Kasumi's forehead.

"Heh. Thought you had me with that, did you? I've gotten stronger, 'Suka. I can cut full power even at this range." Even if her full power had plenty of room for improvement, it wasn't a lie what she said. She'd just need to push herself more and more to build that maximum cap up more and more.

"Didn't I tell you to get the next one ready? There's no way you thought your weakest one could take me, aye? I'm not that weak little genin you trained years ago you know."

Kasumi let out a little chuckle at that. It was nice to think she was catching up to her old sensei, certainly, but this was only the start. She definitely wanted more strength than just this.

Asuka would see the young girls progress and smile noting how far she’d come remarking that she wasn’t the same genin she had trained a long time ago, with that the girl would then craft another clones that would be made of tougher material packing on an extra set of bandages in its construction.to make it even tougher this one wouldn’t be as easy to cut through and would require additional force for her to slice through and would be much harge to rip apart if she didn’t destroy it outright.

"That's the spirit!” the girl would say as she sent out the large clone towards her for her to cut down this one looked identical to the previous one. "This one is type B, the bandages in here are made from the same material as your flack jacket, these are meant to withstand much tougher weaponry, let’s see if you can handle this one!”

The girl would keep herself positioned on the rock allowing her the chance to see if she could break it down but due its tougher tensile strength she figured she could handle it but didn’t think she’d be able to do it as effortlessly as the other one. For now she’d sit back and watch with intrigue.

There is only one path left to take.

The game here was clear, and it reminded Kasumi of the time she was at a fair and they had that test your strength game. She never could hit the very top, but this was something that she felt confident in. She'd been swinging swords since she could walk and this was her moment to prove she was the best.

"As strong as my jacket, eh? I'll have to see if I can even cut myself up." Kasumi took a deep breath, eyeing up the clone for a moment before setting her feet in the ground firmly. She would breath in again, slashing as hard as she could towards the clone.

Her calves flexed first, throwing her entire body weight into the slash. Then her arms just as hard and rough as the fast one, but this time with more momentum. She truly did give everything that she had behind the swing, knowing that she likely couldn't get another.

The impact would feel like an axe to a tree, solid and slow but instead of rearing back to swing again... Kasumi simply pressed harder, every muscle aching as she did. Her demon's chakra cloak springing to life as she felt more and more pain in her muscles. She was determined to slash this beast in one blow.

Kasumi has become known for her strange chakara form. When in a dire situation, she is capable of releasing her chakra, which in turn takes a strange color unlike the normal blue color of chakra, and takes the form of a demonic cat figure. She is then enveloped in a demon shroud.

This ability grants her a fierce looking aura, that may come off as intimidating and a tenacity to push beyond their normal limits physically- when this mode is activated, Kasumi is harder to knock out or kill and will generally fight for longer than a normal body is capable of.

As Asuka watched as the girl would attempt to cut through the blade she’d cut through it with as much force as she could must cutting the clone but narrowly making to the end of the clone, a very narrow but clean bisection that causing it to fall apart, only for the innards of the creature to shoot out towards the girl in an effort to ensnare her with its much tougher bandages.

The bandages would attempt to envelop her in its fibers reaching towards the blade since its the closest object. If these had caught her they would cover the girls body attempt to mummify her and the weapon that she held in her hands. If she wasn’t careful she’d find herself bound up by the large creature that would seemingly swallow her whole.

"I’m impressed I wasn’t sure you’d be able to get through that one, but lets see if you can handle the aftermath!” the girl would say sitting on her stony perch watching to see her reaction to these much more intense bandages. "Genuinely that was really something, she’s gotten so much stronger I almost wonder if she came make it through the type 3 bandages those are the real tough ones.” she’d keep herself at the ready in the event the girl needed her but was fairly certain that, that wasn’t going to happen. A smile on her face the entire time but set and ready for the final set if the girl felt she could handle it.

Asuka is a member of the Waruichi clan and as such has the ability to control a special chakra infused silk that was forged by a special group of silkworms that feed on the corpses of dead clansmen. With it Asuka can craft and shape the silk to her will and uses it in a mostly supplementary fashion to aid her in battle alongside her powerful taijutsu skills.

Kasumi had given her all in cutting the clone, but that didn't mean she had forgotten about the second wave of attacks the other clone had. She carried her momentum through this time, breathing heavily and placing her feet firmly on the ground. Her muscles still putting in overtime as she spunhefself around to meet the three bandages with her sword head on.

There was nothing in the world she couldn't cut through, she told herself again. Her demon chakra flaring behind her like a cape of determination as she struck at the bandages.

This strike might have had even more force than her last. Slashing the bandages up in a clean strike. A mix of accuracy, form, and most importantly raw strength.

"That..." she said, glancing up at Asuka with sweat on her brow and a heavy pant in her lungs, "all you got? You can do better. I'm not settled until I've done it all and right."

She knew the girl had even stronger bandages than that. She knew that challenging a Waruichi in a competition of durability was stupid. There was no way she could beat another clone... but she needed to see it.

To see the limits of what she could do now, so she could face them head on and destroy them herself.

Seeing her cut through the second strongest clone she had the girl would go for her final one this clone was constructed from the bandages that she wore around her arms and legs, which would form themselves into the sturdiest ones. "Not by a longshot!” the girl would say as she made her final clone which was made from the toughest material that she could muster.

As she sat on her stone with her feet and hands now exposed to the misty air she’d watch as the girl would face down the strongest silk that her clan had to offer, Asuka could sense that Kasumi’s chakra was dwindling since she needed a great deal of it in order to sustain the cloak that she had up. But was confident that she’d at least be able to make a solid slash but didn’t think that she had it in her in order too cut all the way through it if she did the bandages would be increasingly difficult to cut down once they attempted to ensnare her.

And if she were caught the effects would be rather damaging if she wasn’t careful but that cloak of her was potent and Asuka was curious to see how it might hold up to the effects of the bandages tough tensile strength, she placed her bare skinned hand against her chin leaning in and watching the girl as she went to work.

Asuka confirmed Kasumi's suspicions that there was still another level to these clones. The Demon took the time to breathe slowly, the aches in her muscles receding to a dull throb instead of a fire burning. Her cloak took some chakra, but was far from the most draining thing about this exercise. She knew she'd be sore tomorrow too.

"Bring it on." Kasumi growled out, barring her sharp teeth as she glared at the clone. She'd approach her first slash much the same as her last one, giving it everything she had and pushing as hard and tough as she could.

This time, however, no matter how hard she pushed herself she could only get about halfway through the clone. She let out a rather rough growl, the bandages launching out at her and she knew she had no chance to cut them like she was.

Instead,her sword slid quickly from the gut of the clone as she used quick rotation to avoid the attack. Only for long enough for her to slash at the bandages from a different angle with her full strength.

She'd be breathing heavy now, sweat dripping off her cheek as she glared at the clone. "I'm not done yet!"

The moment of truth. A last attempt to sever the clone from the other side, hoping to complete her cut from the other side! Would it work? She wasn't sure in herself at the moment.
