Moment Music Events within Kuwana during the evening seemed to be in full swing due to the exams reaching their mid-point. Naturally, there had to be a show or two that had to be put on display for those that had come from all over. It was a momentary peace, but even she had to admit that there was something interesting about seeing so many people that would likely hate one another for reasons only being minor celebrating together for just this. Still, perhaps she was overthinking it. Then again, it wasn't the only thing that seemed to be lingering on her mind of late. As she rested her hands within her pockets, she'd reminded herself to be thankful that of everything that came with acting as a chaperone for Sunagakure representatives, there was a chance to enjoy some of the sights while the kids were resting in preparation. Still, it did little to change her desire for something to eat, much to her own annoyance at her appetite at times. While it was a natural part of being part Saeko, she knew the pain of going through the regiment of having to lose the extra pounds later. Thankfully, her metabolism allowed for some leeway. Looking over the items that seemed to be on display at one of the shops, her expression shifted a bit at the sight of the clerk looking at her with a blank expression. Unsure of just why, she'd hold up her hands to show that she wasn't shop lifting, but then noted his gaze shifting downward toward a smaller companion that seemed to have followed her inside. "Ummm...that isn't mine...I mean...I do have dogs but that isn't one of em..." With a blank expression, Arashi would look down to see the terrier puppy staring back at her, prompting her to raise her brow before kneeling down and picking it up. As she examined it gently, she'd not see a collar or anything on it to show ownership, prompting her to put the furred creature down before then looking at the shop owner with a sheepish smile. "Right...yea..I'll...just take it outside..." Walking toward the exit, the scottish terrier would shuffle after her, leading to her standing at the door as she proceeded to make her way down thye street, stopping once more when she realized the canine was still at her heels. "Okay...whats ya deal?" Kneeling down once more, her hands would rest on her knees as she looked at the small dog, her expression somewhat jilted, but having a hard time keeping it that way as she always had a soft spot for animals. Especially dogs. Scratching it's head, her smile would remain for a moment before then looking around. "Ya must be lost...someone has to be comin for ya sooner or later right?" Twisting her face slightly, she'd question just why it seemed that the female pup was following her, but then realized the clear reason was obvious. Despite her best efforts, her time with the pack had more than given her an odor that still made her attract dogs. It was subtle, but it was still there from years of exposure and only the most keen capable of detecting it would notice it. It wasn't often that it drew them too her, but her pack usually could pick up on it right away. Releasing a soft breath, she'd scoop the dog into her arms, continuing to scratch it's head as she began to move around and look at some of the walls. "Maybe theres a picture of ya or something...or their out there looking right now..." Moment Music Attempting to find a picture of the small dog anywhere within the city was quite the task, and one that was proving to be futile to say the least. Honestly, if anything else could count, it meant that the pup going missing was just recently, or it was just a stray. Sitting upon a bench, the young female would hold her hand beneath her face, feeling the small dog lapping it's tongue across her face as she closed her eyes before gently stroking it's fur. If it weren't such a hassle to possibly explain her taking the canine, she'd be willing to do it in a heartbeat. In fact, she was more worried about leaving him to his own devices and out on the streets. Alone... Looking to the side of her, the short-haired female would then blink for a moment as she began to note some of the small attractions happening out on the streets themselves. Performers doing all kinds of small acts and even have small animals on display. It seemed like a get-rich-quick scheme to her in truth, but considering how well-trained they were, it wasn't such a bad idea. Though getting money wasn't what she had in mind. If anything, maybe she could find the little fella a home. A decent at least... With a toothy grin on her face, she imagined it was at least one small deed she could do. Especially since the young pup was stuck to her like glue. "Right then...heres what we'll do...we give em a show...let ya show ya stuff and we get ya a family in no time...sound good?" As the dog looked at her in confusion, she'd hold a blank expression as she noted him starting to slip from her lap, taking him up into her arms before shaking her head. "Right...easier if ya had a name...do ya even know what to call yourself?" Raising her brow, the pup would bark before Arashi shook her head and then sighed. "Flea?...No thats terrible...makes ya sound like a parasite...how...ummm...Tai?" The small dog would then bark happily as Arashi grinned before placing him on the ground. "Alright! Tai it is! So...lets see...how bout we start with what ya know? Do ya know any tricks?" It was at that moment that the pup would just start blankly at the female, it's eyes seeming like it was giving her a stare that could go on for ages. It was a look that screamed of the clear truth. "Oh...ya don't know anything....at all...great..I mean...it's not good, but I think we can work on that...just have to think of somethin..." To say that what Arashi had planned was a poor use of her abilities was an understatement. But then again, it wasn't as if she were in the middle of combat or really had much riding on her being completely undercover. Not that she was doing anything out in the open, but it still was a matter of presentation. So the best way to do that was to set the stage. So taking the small dog into an ally, she began to work with them on some of the more basic tricks. Sit, stay, beg, they were more so pretty easy to get the hang of. With the years of experience she had working with dogs, it was a natural talent to be capable of instruction. Still, having limited time made it so that the lessons were more so rushed, and it was difficult for the dog to get the hang of at first. But Tai seemed to get them after a few reminders. With the events happening close to them, some began to peek into the alley to see the two of them at work, though moved on when they saw the display of lights flaring within the sky, leaving the duo to resume once more. Before long, she'd place one hand upon her hip as she nodded toward the terrier and then held a toothy grin. "Alright...nows a better time than any...ya ready?" Moment Music As Tai barked in response, the dark haired female would nod in their direction as she held out her hand began to create what looked to be a small walkway for the canine. Appearing one space after another, the young female would watch as they began to move across it, holding their balance as they traveled along it's length, exiting the small space out into the open as people were stopped at the crossroad of sand that seemed to come from the darkness of the corner street. With the terrier barking as he seemed to float upon the dust made road, the small creature would then hear a single whistle as he turned sideways and began rolling down what looked to be a slope that dipped down toward the ground. His body moving rapidly, many seemed shocked and horrified, but before he hit the surface, his frame would seemed to continue upward once more, stopping short of a floating flat platform that rose from the ground. Shaking his fur and barking with excitement, people began to cheer as Tai soon began to stand on his hind legs, paws bent back as he begged and many began dropping coins down as they continued to gather around him. Though with the star of this little show in the open, Arashi remained in the background, still working from the shadows as she continued to put her plan in motion. Before the end of the night, Tai would have a home...one way or another. This barrier acts as a shield against her skin, absorbing heavy blows and protecting her. Her sand defense is very tough, being very difficult to break through. The sand has been likened to steel and concrete. The second form is one which pulls sand from her surroundings and the sand piled on her skin to form a visible barrier and dome like barrier around her. The sand is typically pulled from the ground and any nearby source. Arashi’s various dogs often have a plentiful amount of sand carried in their thick coats. As such, the sand is often pulled from their coats to be used to protect the girl. Through the course of her training, Arashi has learned to control both of these forms of defense to a degree, making her much more capable of mounting a defense in a variety of ways. But she still at times must incumbent some cooperation from Shukaku to ensure of it's sustainability. Arashi can control sand and wind around herself to whip up sandstorms with powerful gusts. The sandstorm often appears when she’s emotionally strained and damaged. If there is no sand around her, powerful breezes will still gather around her. Shukaku enjoys teasing the girl to the point where sandstorms appear. But with the course of time, Arashi had grown more comfortable with this and developed a thick skin towards such actions by the Bijuu. While Arashi had previous had little to no control over her other sand related abilities, she has a somewhat capable hand at this one. Because of the trauma of her sand attacking her classmates at a young age, Arashi has managed to reign in some of this power. Learning to bend the sand to her will, Arashi can keep it from hurting those she doesn’t want it to hurt. Sand will be gathered from nearby sources to be used as a weapon when this ability activates. Performance in the Street Keeping out of the spotlight was easy from her location, and it was clear from the display of tricks and small effects made by the young woman that the terrier was getting more attention that it would have gotten on it's own. The dust flowing and turning into obstacles, Tai jumping through and around them and gaining more and more applause. It was quite the little street show to say the least. It made her miss her pack all the more as she recalled doing something similar with them. Of course, it was less flashy as she hadn't exactly been in control of her abilities back then. But the feeling was there, and she could remember how the canines would move in unison together, Nai acting as ringleader to their small circus of dogs as they performed in the Outskirts and what little ryo could be gained from their efforts had been more than enough to help them. This was just a larger crowd and it allowed for a lot more reward. Not to say that this was the point to it. But she imagined that wouldn't hurt to use it to at least pay for Tai's way should someone not go for him. Watching the dog perform so well in the open was pleasing to say the least, and it did make her wish that she could take him with her. But sadly, there wasn't much she could do to change that. Performance in the Street Arashi would continue to help the small dog look as if he were on a roll, quite literally helping him continue to show off his abilities and seem to attract more and more attention. It wasn't before long as it appeared as if someone had taken notice. Though the youth seemed a bit young, his own curiousty would draw him closer, leading him to get in as close as he could. With people seeming to block the way, Tai would bark as if indicating his wish to move toward the child, leading Arashi to simply allow the sand to begin to fade, making a small slope in which for the canine to move off the platform of dust. Seeming to run over to the boy, the pup would gently lick the boy's hand, seeming to get a smile out of them as the crowd began to surround the boy and the dog. With little attention on her, Arashi would remove herself from her shadowed corner, her hands resting in her pockets as she held a toothy grin before making her way down the road. Mission accomplished...if her friends were here they might actually be surprised by this mild deception. Still, sometimes a little mischief could be used for good. As long as no one got hurt, it didn't really count too much as a bad thing. At best, they'd be more keen as to the possibility that the dog was magic. At worst, they'd be expecting him to do more. Though dogs seemed to have an ability to judge. Considering her own experience, she imagined that Tai had found a good one to stick with. "Now then....where was I?" Leaning over the side of a crossing bridge, Arashi would smirk as she began watching the fireworks once more, staying outside of the moving crowd as she watched them soar through the air and erupt in brillant colors.
