aliasGory [Clan]A more childish version of his own name that originally created by his cousin Taki as a form of endearment. Being one of the youngest of the Okada clan to become Shinobi, it is a common nickname for him within his clan, particularly with those in a similar mindset. It also refers to Goro's violent, rebellious tendencies and his love for a good fight. Go [Acquantances]A shortened version of his name quite literally means 'Five'. This alias was ironically fitting for his position as the host of the Five-Tailed Beast. Very few people actually refer to him by this nickname, and even less would be aware of its connection with the Gobi. The Okadan Prince [Village]This is a title Goro has earned over the years due to his quick and early rise in the ranks of the Shinobi. He has quickly become a star child in the eyes of the Okada, and due to his young age for graduation and progress in the ChŪnin exams, he has easily become more recognizable within Iwagakure as well. appearance
Clan Attire: Preview Goro has striking blue eyes that sit shadowed underneath long, spiked bangs. Sometimes seeming to have a gravity all their own, these blond spikes jab upward from his head, and downward from the long ponytail in the back. Goro is often covered in dirt, blood, sweat, or both due to his constant training and playing around. His face is not a good indicator of his mood as he tends to have an unrealistic lack of change of expression. The only exception to this rule is when he is riled up which typically is his response to a challenge or when he’s looking for a fight. Still young in years, Goro does not have much height to show off, but underneath his clothes, he is well-toned given his training within his clan and in Hachimon. Several scars sit here and there over his body due to training and typical, childish roughhousing, but nothing too major. The Gobi's seal has been placed on Goro's left shoulder which he keeps hidden underneath his armor. With permission from his parents, Goro also received a small tattoo on the upper right side of his neck in the shape of a five (五). Goro can most often be seen wearing a sleeveless turtleneck and a pair of dark navy pants. For added protection of his core, he has had a leather-padded abdominal guard custom tailored. At his left shoulder sits a metal guard as well which he sometimes uses for both offensive and defensive purposes. At his feet are a pair of black shinobi boots. He can sometimes be seen wearing navy or black wrist guards that extend over his knuckles. For casual training or lounging at home, Goro typically wears a short-sleeve white t-shirt with black color, and sometimes with a mid-length black t-shirt underneath. He often wears navy or black pants with his clan’s symbol engraved on the side pocket in orange. A typical pair of brown shinobi boots cover his feet. He can often be seen with white wrist wraps on, though this is typically after or during training unless he forgets to take them off. For clan spirit and more social outgoings, Goro has an entirely different attire altogether which consists of a waterproof black jacket with white and orange accents with a camel neck design. The jacket splits open mid-chest. He wears a long white t-shirt underneath and a pair of calf-length athletic pants. A similar orange accent can be seen on the cloth underneath his pants with compression socks. A pair of white sneakers sits at his feet. personalityNINDO: We aren't just for show. You can bet on that. Goro has about as much bark as he does bite. Hotheaded and crass, he has the fiery attitude of the Okada all packed into one. Goro isn’t one to pull his punches, both figuratively and metaphorically. If anything, he looks for a fight. For being as young as he is, the boy loves a challenge and will purposely go out to seek one or even habitually make one up for himself as either a way to pass the time or somehow improve himself. Exploration and uncertainty drive him, which is partially why he even pursued the life of a ninja. Partially following Taki Okada out of inspiration, Goro has a knack for rebellion and adventure. He is impatient but oddly reliable, ambitious, and sometimes overly protective. Goro has the habit of clinging onto ideas and can sometimes come off as narcissistic and crass with a deplorably foul mouth for a boy his age. Much of Goro’s time goes into training, despite his parent’s wishes. He finds joy in training and learning new grappling techniques, but he continues to grow in many aspects of his life which will likely introduce him to new hobbies and specialties. Outside of training and taking up his clan's techniques, Goro enjoys the simplicity of his age which often include lounging around or playing. historyMuch of Goro’s early years were typical in terms of other children from his clan. Both his mother and father were highly sought-after trainers within the clan. This required Goro to oftentimes travel to shows with his parents even at a young age. They viewed him traveling as an added opportunity to see, experience, and grow as an individual within their clan. Their hopes for him were to become a performer in his teenage years. Given that both his parents were trainers, much was expected from him even from an inappropriate age. Goro’s parents began training him as soon as he turned four but did so in secret and without others from their clan knowing. Regardless, the boy took a natural interest in the training and quickly learned to stand his own ground in the ring. Goro trained daily with one or both of his parents who guided him step by step to perform grapples and hone his skills in as many areas as they could. Despite his young age, Goro seemed to grasp them quickly and with little effort. While he continued to travel to the shows and training sessions with his parents, Goro would watch closely and learn as much as he could. Like a sponge, he absorbed anything he could manage, though it was mostly to please his parents and it was not born from his own resolve. At the age of five, Goro was already well advanced in technique and his body took on odd proportions of muscle and fat that were constant with his constant training. Goro suffered from a physiological breakdown due to the intense training and had been temporarily removed from his home while he recovered. During his time recovering, Goro had little to do but read. He took interest in books on Taijutsu and other hand-to-hand combat techniques. It took the boy months to recover and during this time he amassed knowledge of Taijutsu styles. Most of what he lacked was the application of those techniques. It opened his eyes to the endless possibilities of combat potential outside of their clan, but his fantasies were quickly shut down. At the age of six, the boy sought other methods of teaching after his parents refused to stray outside of the clan’s wrestling techniques. During his reading sessions, he found himself fully committed to Hachimon, a fighting style that seemed to be based on a rather unique set of teachings and rules. Goro found a trainer within the village who had mastered the Eight Celestial Gates and formed an instant connection with him. Goro trained relentlessly over the next year, eventually learning to successfully open his first celestial gate: the Gate of Opening. Shortly after this training began, news of his uncle being kidnapped began to spread. It was requested that Goro spend additional time with his family, though due to his age, the boy did not have a complete understanding of the situation. Goro was mostly left in the dark or given as little detail as possible to keep him from becoming more upset. Eventually, news spread of a member of his clan, Taki Okada, joining the Academy and quickly rising in rank and seeking revenge for their uncle. Goro quickly gained inspiration from her story and her resolve and did his best to gain favor and permission to enter the Academy. At the age of eight, he was allowed entry despite his parent’s disapproval. Their only condition was that if he did not make it to Genin at the typical age of other students, he would be forced to leave the idea behind. Goro, of course, agreed to their conditions. During his time in the Academy, Goro exceeded expectations in several ways. Although his grades were severely slacking, Goro managed to surpass most of his classmates through sheer practice alone. The boy showed promising chakra reserves, and this allowed him to train more harshly and further honed his abilities with both Hachimon and Taijutsu. Towards the end of his first year in the Academy, he had already begun to prove himself, though a surprising twist would cause a commotion among the village and the Okada as Goro was chosen as the next host of the Gobi partially due to his robust nature and the chakra reserves that he seemed to possess. The hope was that this would assist Goro in containing the beast inside and give him an advantage over the other candidates. The seal was placed on Goro which he managed to tolerate well enough, though it did require a period of rest and recovery. His relationship with Kokuō has so far been mostly untouched as the Gobi has refused to acknowledge the Okadan boy. After harsh physical training, Goro was promoted to Genin at the age of nine. He was positioned on Team Three where he hopes that with time he can earn the Gobi's respect and the two can train to improve the lives of those within Iwagakure and potentially the world. fighting styleBeing raised as a fighter from day one, Goro has more confidence than most his age in terms of his fighting skills. This shows in his fearless approach to combat. His technical know-how is still very much that of an Academy Student, however. Goro's fighting style still requires many years of practice and development, but his resolve is quite clear. Being a taijutsu specialist and given his clan's approach to taijutsu and wrestling, it's obvious that Goro chooses a hand-to-hand combat style. His interest in the Eight Celestial Gates has given him an edge over others his age, though he uses it as rarely as possible given that it tires him out far too quickly should be allowed. Goro prefers using strings of punches and kicks for his maneuvers and relies on grappling techniques from his clan where possible, though he is still in the beginning stages of learning these techniques. With Goro's natural chakra reserves and the heightened reserves he has passively gained through the Gobi, he is able to fight for much longer periods of time without needing to be cautious of his chakra. This has made Goro rely mostly on very heavy and relentless methods of attack in an effort to overpower his enemy. combat informationNATURAL CHAKRA: Doton, Jōkiton (Fūton, Suiton, Katon) CHAKRA AFFINITIES: Jōkiton (Fūton, Suiton, Katon) SOLE SPECIALIZATION: Taijutsu SUMMONING CONTRACT AND FAMILIAR: --- INVENTORYSHINOBI POUCH:

special abilitiesGobi JinchūrikiGoro has been blessed with an enormously deep reserve of chakra that seemingly rivals most of his ranking. This is supposedly a combined effort of both his natural reserves and that of the Gobi, creating an unnatural level of reserves overall. These unnaturally deep reserves allow him to continue fighting much longer than most and greatly assist him in his chaotic and relentless fighting style. These monstrous levels of chakra have surprised most, even before Kokuō was sealed within him. What was believed to simply be an absurd amount of energy or stamina has turned out to be a blessing of chakra of unnatural levels. With the sealing of the Gobi, Goro has also passively gained its natural abilities and techniques, granting him access to Steam Release (Jōkiton: Fūton, Suiton, Katon). Goro will be able to access this chakra naturally as a Genin. He is also able to use this Steam Release to enhance his physical performance, greatly increasing his strength temporarily by boiling his chakra. In the later stages of the chakra shroud and full release, Goro is granted access to the horn techniques of the Gobi which can be used to pierce almost all defenses and even sling his opponent miles away with enough force. Hachimon ProdigyGoro has shown a natural affinity and understanding of chakra pathways, and as such has taken a keen interest in learning more about the Eight Celestial Gates. Through personal study and records, he has already learned to unlock the first two gates: Gate of Opening and the Gate of Healing. Due to his young age and consistent use of Hachimon, his muscles have broken down, torn, and rebuilt themselves several times, giving him more tolerance over the pain involved, though he is not saved from the fatigue of their use. The Gate of Opening removes the restraint on the use of his muscles, allowing him to use them to their full extent whereas most of his age and size would only be able to use about 20% of their full strength. This gate opening physically puts him quite far ahead of others in his rank and specialty and allows him to outperform others his size and age with less effort. This especially helps when it comes to the power behind his punches, kicks, and grappling techniques. The Gate of Healing may then be released, fully revitalizing him temporarily. With the Gate of Healing active, Goro receives a significant boost in strength and overall physical performance. Coupled with the full use of his muscles, he becomes a force to be reckoned with. Goro may choose to go straight into releasing the Gate of Healing as well. After the Gate of Healing is closed, Goro will become heavily exhausted making its use risky if not well prepared. Monstrous StrengthMany strange circumstances over Goro’s life have led him to be the powerhouse of strength that he is today. Between his parent’s positions as personal trainers, Goro’s obsession with training with weights, and his early and excessive use of Hachimon, the boy has developed natural, monstrous strength. Goro’s strength is leagues above others of his age and rank, allowing him to overpower his enemies much easier than most. techniquesS-Rank--- A-Rank--- B-RankOmote Renge [Front Lotus] C-RankKasoku Suru [Accelerate] D-RankShunshin no Jutsu [Body Flicker Technique] E-RankHenge no Jutsu [Transformation Technique] [attr="class","headerbox"] OKADA GORO | 10 | GENIN | GOBI JINCHŪRIKI[attr="class","gorolongcredits"] [attr="class","gorolong"] [attr="class","bodybox"] [attr="class","text-space icon"] Jinchūriki InformationBIJŪ NAME: Kokuō BIJŪ RANK: Gobi APPEARANCEAll of the Bijū share the characteristic of being born from the same entity but each of them is very different in shape, size, and form. In a relative saying, each Bijū has grown up to be gargantuan in size. Kokuō takes the form of a furry horse, with the head of a dolphin but intermixed with relative cohesion. Kokuō is a massive bijū, standing several stories tall, and is in the top four in terms of height out of the nine. However, Kokuō is slender and muscular - long and thin. five tails and contrast between white and yellow, a sickly white comprises the main stature of the beast, even along a thick lower jaw that seems reminiscent of a snapping turtle. Five horns of varying lengths protrude from the top of the head of Kokuō. All over Kokuō, at the tips, hooves and horns are yellow; a sickly yellow that fades down into its body back into white. Kokuō's eyes are pupil-less and fiery sapphire blue, with a dark burgundy makeup underneath its eyelids. PERSONALITYKokuō is a quiet and reserved individual: by no means is the wisest bijū but generally, when Kokuō speaks, you listen. In the way of being quiet, there are a few things to note about Kokuō. Firstly, Kokuō is a respectful individual who refers to himself with the suffix -ore, he is not strong-headed or determined bijū. Kokuō is one of the more passive Bijū and is most likely to get on with someone who is like himself. Kokuō's personality makes him easy to get on with all types of personality traits in a Jinchūriki. He is, however, most resilient versus Jinchūriki who try to wrench power from him, are not respectful towards him, or pick on those weaker than the Jinchūriki. As for power, Kokuō is among the harder Bijū to control due to his pacifistic tendencies. While not having as many tails as the Gyūki or Chōmei, undoubtedly the tails-per-difficulty ratio is the same between the lower amount of tails for Kokuō. SEAL UTILIZEDSeal: Preview Goro's seal is the same seal that was used on the previous host, Okada Sakuraba. The center, which is the symbol for Iwagakure forms Kokuō's actual cage. The first inscription was designed for limiting the power Kokuō has over the host while also impeding any kind of communication between the two. The elongated commas and the four X-shaped seal arms are one-way chakra buffers, each capable of filtering through an incredible amount of chakra so that control isn't immediately lost, allowing the host to draw out some of the Bijū's chakra as his control over the Bijū increases. In its sealed state, the fūinjutsu that takes up the whole space on Goro's left shoulder is visible regardless of whether chakra is run through the seal. MINDSCAPEMindscape: Preview The seal's mindscape is that of a massive mausoleum full of terracotta army soldiers overlooking an altar where Kokuō is chained down unable to move. A stone gate separates the bijū from the army, not allowing either it to escape or the Jinchūriki to get near it. BIJŪ CONTROLGoro has no control over Kokuō in his current state, only just recently becoming the new host for the bijū. BIJŪ ABILITIESSteam Release A byproduct and almost a 'gift' that Kokuō gives to the Jinchūriki is the three chakra releases, Katon, Suiton, and Fūton. They immediately combine to allow the Jinchūriki to learn and utilize 'Steam' Release. With this, there are massive advantages. Steam release, combined with Ninjutsu allows the user to form, expel and expunge large amounts of steam in tandem with either Fūton or Suiton techniques, or vapor-specific techniques that utilize Steam. The use is immediately obvious: burning of all kinds. Steam release, combined with taijutsu, allows the user to utilize (technique needed) to form a cloak of steam that can almost literally boil the skin off an enemy if they linger for too long. On top of that, they are capable of temporarily increasing their strength to levels that exceed the 8-tail's natural strength Horned Bijū In all forms of the Bijū, utilization of these abilities by the Jinchūriki gives them horns over the top of their head. Even in the base Jinchūriki form, the user's skull and head are extremely durable, compared to that of the Kaguya clan. In the later forms, including the cloak, physical representations of horns are noted on the form (and subtly, even though the zero-tailed chakra shroud, the horns are very real despite their intangible appearance.) These horns are a grade higher than extremely durable and are a very viable weapon. They are capable of piercing through many defenses via ramming, only multiplying their piercing power through the addition of speed. Because of the many horns, they are aligned as such to also pierce and keep enemies held there - so that they can throw targets far distances. BIJŪ FORMSJinchūriki Form In Goro's Jinchūriki form, the roots of his hair begin to whiten in a similar color to Kokuō's own. The tips of his hair, however, turn a similar red to the sacs underneath the Gobi's eyes, blending in with his natural blonde hair meeting in the middle. Goro's eyes, although already blue, will seem more animalistic and will even enlarge. Horn-like bristles will begin to sprout around his fists, knees, shoulders, and forehead, becoming longer and more durable as the Bijū's chakra flows through him between forms. His skin may become paler and redder and will begin to show underneath his eyelids like Kokuō's true form. These horn-like structures cannot be used for offensive and defensive measures due to their underdeveloped nature, but signal future spots where the horned growths may protrude. They hold a similar consistency to a thickened fingernail and are yellowed in color. As the number of tails progresses, more of these horn-like structures will appear across his body and eventually thicken to become the Gobi’s infamous piercing horns. Being a new host to the Five Tails, Goro has no control over the Bijū's, and his mental state should be assessed in order to keep the beast contained. Chakra Shroud [No Tail] With the arrival of the chakra shroud, Goro will begin to glow with red chakras, like that of all the Jinchūriki. His form will begin to change more drastically and with more useful alterations than previously. With increasing difficulty from this point onward, Goro's mood greatly influences his tendency to rampage. His inhibitions to attack needlessly will be lowered, as will his ability to be rationalized as the number of tails increases. As the chakra shroud begins to form, one will first notice that Goro's horns from his Jinchūriki form will become larger. In addition, smaller, more underdeveloped ones will begin to form around his body, particularly around his fists and knees. The larger, fully developed horns have the Gobi's famous abilities and can be used to pierce almost any target while the underdeveloped horns provide no offensive or defensive capabilities and are similar in consistency to a thick fingernail and are yellow in color. In this form, Goro is granted the natural abilities with the Gobi's Steam Release and can be seen using it as if second nature as well as the Gobi’s ramming power. The host can use the Gobi’s Steam release to greatly increase his strength and speed by empowering his muscles by essentially boiling his chakra. The use of the Steam Release in this way is the power of the Gobi and can become a fearsome attribute as the tails progress. Chakra Shroud [One Tail] Version 1: In the first version of the chakra shroud, the chakra shroud will emit the first tail, and the shroud will appear to float around and protect Goro, acting as a shield against incoming attacks by cushioning physical blows. Goro’s durability and strength are greatly increased, even in the chakra shroud version, and he gains a moderate increase in speed and ramming power. The strength behind his attacks can pack a much more powerful punch, especially if Steam Release is used to enhance his physical capabilities. The underdeveloped horns that once formed will now harden completely, developing into the horns that are so well known of the Gobi and whose durability is said to pierce almost any target. Version 2: In the second version, Goro will increase slightly in size and will appear much more animalistic in nature as compared to the lesser version. While most often hidden underneath boots, the nails of his hands and feet will begin to grow and thicken, mimicking hooves that can be used to increase Goro's attacks with heavier blunt force trauma on impact. The physical structure of his legs also changes, changing and reinforcing the structure of his hips, knees, and ankles. With this change, Goro can run at much quicker speeds and the power behind taijutsu-based attacks is far more devastating. Goro's eyes will become even more animalistic, and the hues of his eyes will cover more of the whites around his eyes. The red sacs underneath his eyes will become much more prominent. Chakra Shroud [Two Tails] Version 1: The second tail marks one of the biggest changes in the physical nature of Goro. With the formation of the second tail, the physiological structure of Goro's body changes drastically. The arrangement of his bones twists and turns, forcing him into a four-legged position typical to that of the Gobi's natural state. He will begin to appear to be half-human, half-horse, but remaining two-legged in stature. In this state, Goro's body will begin hot steam from holed structures in the underdeveloped horns on his body. These underdeveloped horns will not continue to develop and appear like the fir of the Gobi. Goro will have a great increase in overall strength and speed. Version 2: In this version of the second tail, Goro’s pupils will almost entirely fuse with his eyes, making them barely visible. The red underneath his eyes will also become much more drastic. His face will become elongated with his jaw jutting outward at the sides such as the Gobi’s. His strength within this form is drastically increased as is his speed and ramming power thanks to the formation change of his hips, knees, and ankles. Goro will be barely visible in the shroud of chakra around him, and the chakra further protects him from incoming attacks by cushioning blows. Attacks involving kicking have a great increase in power due to the rearrangement of bone and ligament that allow him to pressurize the energy behind the kick before releasing. Chakra Shroud [Three Tails] Version 1: As the third tail sprouts, Goro is now almost entirely in sync with the Gobi's physical form but in a more compact size. He receives a drastic increase in overall strength, speed, and ramming power. The shroud of chakra around Goro is now connected closely to the Gobi's Steam Release, empowering his attacks on an innate level. Version 2: In its second form, the third tail causes more fir to appear around Goro, and the underdeveloped horns at his wrists and knees will begin to harden, giving them the piercing abilities of the Gobi that are so feared. This change allows Goro to use these additional horns to vary his attack style. The density of the chakra shroud hides any of Goro's true physical form and he is no longer visible within the shroud. Chakra Shroud [Four Tails] Version 1: As the fourth tail begins to form, Goro gains an exponential increase in durability, strength, speed, and ramming power that would make combat with him life-threatening, even for an elite shinobi. Goro can control the Steam Release even further by using very little to no concentration with his attacks requiring it, allowing him to precisely administer the steam to his attacks. His Taijutsu-based abilities at this level are on par with that of an Elite Jounin with a sole specialty in Taijutsu. In this state, Goro will begin to increase in size as well and will develop a thicker jaw like that of the Gobi. Version 2: Goro will simply appear as a chakra-shrouded version of the Gobi without the tear of the shroud or muscle or skeletal showing. He receives an equal increase in durability, strength, speed, and ramming power as with his uncontrolled form, but is less likely to be continuously injured by the pealing chakra. In this form, Goro’s physical form further begins to resemble the Gobi’s true form, forcing him on all forms as his bones reform to that more liken of a horse. He also greatly increases in size, being only about 60% of the Gobi’s true size. Chakra Shroud [Five Tails] Version 1: As the final tail begins to form, Goro will begin to greatly increase in size. Visibly, the muscle and skeletal deformities will break and reform, completing the Gobi's physical form and beginning to shred the remainder of the chakra shroud. With this power, Goro’s body is put at risk as the pressure of the chakra will begin to destroy it, essentially tearing at his muscle tissue. Goro gains an overall increase in ramming power and speed and a moderate increase in durability. Version 2: This version of the Five Tail is without a doubt the pinnacle of its performance. If allowed to reach this stage, Goro’s durability is only outmatched by Sanbi and Nanabi. His power is further increased in addition to the increased attributes of its first version. If Steam Release is used, his power exceeds that of even the Hachibi. Goro’s size will grow to rival that of large buildings and even mountains, and his ramming power is at its maximum efficiency, allowing him to ram into enemies and send them flying several miles away. Full Release As Kokuō is fully released, it resumes its full physical form. The seal is assumed to have been completely broken, and Goro would be pronounced dead. The actions of the Gobi will be of its own making if it is not tamed yet again before the chains are completely shattered. There is no hope that Goro can survive the full release of the Gobi.
