Return of the vespers MISSION RANK: C-Rank NPC REQUIRED: No RANDOM MISSION SCENARIO: Disabled PARTICIPANTS: Kekkan Mitsuda DESCRIPTION: During his mission to recover two kidnapped girls and the Snake Sage Scroll, Mitsuda uncovered that an organization he believed was defeated long ago has somehow reemerged. The man captured alive during the Reparations mission with Shigure and Keisuke must now be questioned, hopefully revealing further information on the organization whose members refer to themselves as Vespers, or prayers. Mitsuda, given his previous experience with this organization who was originally believed to be defeated over a hundred years ago, has been placed in charge of the interrogation and acts as head of the program to bring down the Vespers once again.

In search for more clues about the Vespers and their return, he sets out with express permission from the Kage of Kagerougakure who expresses that troubling rumors are circulating regarding this organization within his own country. The Sage travels to Mountain Country to speak with a representative of the Kagerougakure to learn more about their troubles with the Vespers and to also speak with a captured Vesper of their own.

Visiting the mines to snuff out further details, Mitsuda must gather additional clues with the additional help of Shigure. Word is that one of their five leaders, The Left Pillar, stations himself at this base of operations. Should he be there, he is to be captured dead or alive.

the owl of secrets MISSION RANK: B-Rank NPC REQUIRED: No RANDOM MISSION SCENARIO: Disbabled PARTICIPANTS: Kekkan Mitsuda , Hyūga Shigure DESCRIPTION: Captured by Mitsuda and Shigure, Utada Keiki–The Left Pillar of Vesper–is to be escorted back to Kagerougakure for detainment and questioning. Given the ranking of their Pillars, it is likely that the Vespers will not allow him to be captured so easily. Mitsuda must fend off attacks while attempting to get Utada Keiki back to Kagerougakure. * While the intention is to get Utada Keiki back alive, the mission can still be completed with his death as the main secrets needed lie within his body, not mind. Hinted within The Dead Return.

the dead return MISSION RANK: A-Rank NPC REQUIRED: Yes RANDOM MISSION SCENARIO: Disabled PARTICIPANTS: Kekkan Mitsuda , Hyūga Shigure DESCRIPTION: The Death of Utada Keiki reveals Mitsuda’s suspicions about the return of the Vespers and that their ideology and goals remain the same. Secrets gained from the body of The Left Pillar revealed all the answers Mitsuda needed to find a second base of operations, this time to the north nestled within a group of mountains. Mitsuda and Shigure travels to this base in an attempt to bring down the Right Pillar of Vesper–Konno Otojiro–only to be met with a familiar face, Kaemon.
