Planning and recon were the name of the game now and between Miroru flying above and Shinde's dog summon Asahi was confident they'd be able to find out something about the bandits, whether it was numbers or direction there was little doubt that a group that size could hide their tracks too well. Focusing in, the chunin would send out a pulse of chakra in the vicinity to see what he could pick up and while there may have been people in the area none had signatures of any kind so nothing pinged other than his group. Sensory techniques were great but they did have their flaws.

With Miroru swooping back in she'd report that one side of the plains held a camp with quite a few people that would be mirrored by Pakkun's report on the other side. Well that was just fun, both sides of the bridge entrance were teeming with bandits and quite a few of them to boot. Guarding against one set of thieves was probably hard enough for the merchants but seeing them swoop in from both sides must have been a demoralizing scene to any unlucky enough to catch their eye. It would be tough to fight a battle on two fronts with the numbers as they were, and even though Shinde did have access to clones that would tip the scales only so much; which made the request from the girl all that more out of place.

Asahi had assumed his intentions of getting the two genin back home in one piece had been clear and with the situation as it was there was no time for heroics or trying to take on more than one person needed to, and if that time came then the chunin was prepared to shoulder that responsibility himself. "Clones, useful as they may be, are taxing and it only takes a well placed hit to find yourself alone once more, so no I would not prefer you take on an entire side of bandits by yourself. We are a unit and going to operate as one, but since there are an odd number of us it can't really be helped." Asahi replied before fishing out a couple of blank sealing tags and a brush. His pen strokes were precise and quick and in a few moments there were two identical tags showing the symbol for futon infused with a decent portion of his chakra. "Place these a few meters apart a good distance ahead of you, when the tag is disturbed it'll create a strong blast of futon that should help cut down the numbers a bit for you." The chunin added as he handed Shinde the tags before turning his focus to Miroru.

"Looks like it'll be us two, then. Prepare what defenses you need then find a good spot to dig in. Depending on how Shinde is doing I may float over to help." Asahi spoke.

"Finish up and prepare to move out. Our people further inland told us there was a juicy shipment coming from the heart of the country. The boys on the other side will meet us at the bridge and then we loot." A voice called out to the encampment. Various hootin and hollerin ensued as bandits grabbed their weapons and saddled up on their horses. None were all that terrifying on their own but with numbers and horses on their side it may as well looked like an army to traveling merchants.

This seal is marked by an insignia for 'Fuuton' drawn inside a tight circle, which can be placed against the ground or drawn along a surface. Once disturbed by outside means other than proper seal disarmament, the seal ruptures, releasing a vast array of cutting wind blades out in a five meter radius. This is enough to shred against skin and cut into armor for anyone caught in the blast, as well as blow away any mist or particles in the air.

"So we got about two dozen split between the two groups..." Miroru considered things from both angles, then offered a simple idea. "Okay. I don't much like splitting up, but 3 doesn't divide well and it's not exactly bright planning to set ourselves up to get pincer'd by both groups either. So if it's unavoidable... Shinde-san, I think you'd better take as many ninken as you can with you and Pakkun to even the odds. As for Asahi-san and I, like he said, he'll be ready to pivot and support you, so we'll work to wipe out our half of the encampment ASAP. Prioritize your own safety and fall back towards us if need be, okay?" No orders, just very general ideas to help keep them all safe while Miroru thought out loud.

The redhead had to think a bit when Asahi spoke of setting up defenses. She pulled the scrolls off her backpack, and held them out for Asahi. "I know you're gonna be on the backlines. These are simple water scrolls, but using them will create area denial- patches I can electrify to disable any of the bandits inside them. You can use them offensively or defensively- I'll keep an ear out for the splashing and make sure I shove a current into the flood zones once they're activated. Aside from that, I'll get us some front-line back-up once we engage, so it won't be so one-sided. Aside from that, though... ready when you are."

[Hatake Shinde]

The offer of support was given, and with it, Shinde found herself looking forward at the two of them. Asahi first. "Understood. I understand we're a unit, and I'll ensure that everything runs smoothly." That said, as she looked outward towards the distance, she slowly took the seals offered to her, studying them for a few seconds. "Wind Release? Sunagakure really does have some interesting tricks." Fascinated, she found herself nodding, as she'd likely use these for a trap at some point. At this point? Shinde found herself addressing Miroru's concern.

"I can't summon as many Ninken as you'd think...I don't have as much chakra as you do." She expresses. Shinde slowly forms a singular handseal, and she then calls forth. "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu." A clone pops and forms into existence, before Shinde reaches into her pouch and slaps an explosive tag onto its chest in the inner jacket. "I intend on removing the threat in a single instant." A surprising thought perhaps. As Shinde took a deep breath, it might have been a bit of a surprise in truth. However, Shinde had already dealt with a bandit mission once before. In fact, this is the third mission she'd have done that involved violence and killing. Shinde more or less understood. It was a heated spot.

Handing the clone those wind seals, it'd head off. Higher into the tree line as Pakkun followed suit. Whilst Shinde herself followed as to watch from another vantage. The assault would begin soon, and with it, there was no telling how it could go. Only confidence in their skills, abilities, and experiences could do that now. Though the assignment was digested and understood entirely. None of these bandits were to be left alive. They were already resigned to death. They were simply the executioners.

DESCRIPTION:

The Kage Bunshin technique evenly distributes your chakra between one or more clones with form and substance.



The clones created by this technique are able to utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows, has all of their special abilities, as well as their kekkei genkai. Typically a clone's equipment doesn't retain any special abilities and the clone itself is dispersed when hit with a single attack or incapacitated, although the clone can also choose to disperse itself or be dispersed by the user.



When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained along with it's remaining chakra are passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones.

Adaptability was a key trait of any good shinobi and while Asahi had did his best to come up with a plan that he believed would give the trio the best chance of success while also helping to keep the two genin safe it was clear that adjustments were inevitable but after a bit of thought what they had settled on sounded like it would still work. He wasn't keen on leaving Shinde to her own devices --even if the chunin would be floating about-- but the seals he had given her would help cause some disturbance among the bandits numbers while also acting as a signal that the two trump cards had been used.

Plans had bee made, battle lines drawn and now it was time to set up and wait. Asahi watched as Shinde, her lone clone and the canine summon made their way to the opposite tree line to set up resistances on their end which left just himself and Miroru to guard the other side. He'd accept the scrolls given to him by the genin and listen as she described both their contents and how she could combo off of them. He didn't deal much with water but knew from years of watching Zakku that mixing it with raiton jutsu could have devastating results. "Sounds like a plan, I'm sure they'll come in handy." The chunin replied as he tucked the scrolls away in his munitions pouch. "Let's take position up in that thicket of trees. I'm hoping they'll be so preoccupied with whoever they're trying to rob they won't even notice us." He added before beginning to make his way to the tree line, once there taking up a holding position near the top branches.

After some time the merchants that the bandit group had been keeping tabs on began to near the bridge, a covered wagon loaded with all manner of goods from the world over being drawn by a single horse and led by two simple merchants. They knew not of the tail that had been following them for some time or the impending robbery yet as they inched closer the very ground around them began to rumble as dozens of pairs of hooves stamped rapidly on the ground; riders wielding weapons of various quality hootin' and hollerin' as they quickly approached their target none the wiser that they were speeding right into a trap as none had noticed the two shinobi perched in the trees above them or Shinde on the opposite side.

With the dozen or so bandits having sped past Asahi and Miroru's position without issue the pincers had now become the pincered. "Hit them quickly and try to keep their attention long enough for the merchants to get out harm's way." The Kyokujitsu instructed as he leapt down from the tree to close in on the bandits. Running up from his position behind the bandits Asahi would perform a set of seals while inhaling deeply before loosing a large blast of wind, and while it may not have been enough to knock over horses some of the men riding atop them would be swept off and sent to the ground. "Wh-What the?! We got shinobi!" One of the fallen men yelled out prompting attention to be brought the two shinobi's way. The fight had begun.

Miroru felt a brief touch of relief at Shinde taking it all seriously, and seeming to take the exhortations to protect herself to heart. She nodded to the pale haired girl- but chewed her lip a bit as Shinde follows up her proposal by stating she can't call up as many summons or clones as Miroru can. The statement was... confusing- not that Miroru didn't know those things (The Old Fox saw to that), but for Shinde to make a point of calling it out right after insisting she go off on her own was... puzzling!

Still, it was fine, as long as she took care of hers-

Something about using her clone as a suicide bomber made Miroru really uncomfortable, and she bit her lip as she watched Shinde prepare, glancing nervously at Asahi. Maybe he knew something she didn't.

As the fight proper began, Miroru followed Asahi's directions, moving to engage swiftly and force attention onto herself to buy the merchants time to get to safety. As they yelled about incoming Shinobi, Miroru added her voice to the cacophany as she ran into view, flashing four quick seals.

"You sure do-"

Smoke exploded around her in two gusts, and as it cleared, a dozen Mirorus were now in view! Most of them weren't real- she'd Shadow Clone'd and then rapidly activated the normal Bunshin- but the three solid Mirorus had a crowd of nine fakes to hide them as they rushed towards the bandits, hurling a scattering of shuriken towards them to further sow chaos!

"Just don't give up on me! We can figure this out!"

[Hatake Shinde]

Mind made up, Shinde found herself up above. Planting herself like a sentry with Pakkun along an opposing tree line whilst her clone got into position. Beginning to plant the wind bomb seals in semi hidden areas along the ground behind leaves or small bits of foliage. That was when the sounds of fighting inevitably broke out. The sounds of battle on the opposing end of the bridge would lure the bandits in closer for the initiation. Where the Kage Bunshin would conceal itself along the path. Waiting for the bandits on the opposite side of the bridge to come forth to aid in the ambush and combat.

Though if they did? Those Wind Seals would hopefully be a nasty deterrent that would send them flying back off their horses. To send the riders knocking off, and the horses toppled onto their sides or on their backs. In which the clone would reveal itself, abandoning its cloak, as it leaps high into the air. Weaving a few handseals, it whips out Shuriken outwards towards each of its targets. Though as she did, she exhaled balls of flame out onto each one. Katon! Housenka no Jutsu! With the manipulation of wires on string attached to each of the now flaming throwing stars? They whipped and twisted. To sink downwards like a flaming hell onto their opponents. Hopefully sinking into their ranks before they could collect themselves. The sinking of burning metal on flesh. However. This reversal ambush was a two pronged effort.

For even if the bandits sought to turn around to retreat? They'd be met with another barrage of Shuriken along their back flank. Looking to send a few bodies falling backwards. In total? A barrage of twenty Shuriken would make their way outwards towards their foes. With an assault like that? Shinde wasn't sure she'd even need to use her explosive tag after all. Because Shinde looked to hit hard and leave no room for retaliation. One way or another. Because now? Two Shinde were rushing in. Long Jitte in hand at rapid speeds. Looking to finish off any remainders. Or to perhaps more accurately say, execute the survivors.

"Oh boy...You get really serious. Just like your old man in missions..." Pakkun calls out with a sweatdrop as he descends and remains on standby. Prepared to help the pup if she really needed it. He was too old for this shit.

Description: After performing the necessary handseals, the user expels a series of small fireballs, each one about the size of a kunai. This are fired in succession and in such numbers that it makes it difficult to dodge by simple means. They are light in form and so they can even be used to hide shuriken within them without being disturbed.

DESCRIPTION:

Wires attached to shuriken, be it during the use of this jutsu or prepared beforehand, can be manipulated with such sleight hand movements that the trajectory of the stars can be altered at any point in their flight. The spinning nature of the shuriken more than often distracts shinobi from the razor thin strings connecting them to their owner, making this an effective way to catch the opponent off guard.

DESCRIPTION:

Using a cloak or a piece of cloth, a ninja may disguise themselves against a nearby object by covering their whole body in a fashion that blends in with their surroundings.



Summary:

- Shinde's clone plants the wind seals and awaits the bandits on the opposing side of the bridge to rush inwards to assist their forces on Miroru and Asahi's side. The seals ideally activate and halt their advance, preferably dismounting their cavalry and throwing them into disarray.

- Shinde's clone ceases to hide using cloak of invisibility and launches fireball coated Shuriken with wires to precision slam into multiple bandits. At the same time, the real Shinde seeks to hit the bandits in their back flank and litter them with another barrage of throwing stars before both clones prepare to enter melee combat.

The element of surprise had worked in tandem for the group as the turned attention of the bandits had given just enough time for the unsuspecting merchants to turn their cart around and quickly make their exit from the area, and as for the battle itself those who had been fortunate enough to be strapped tightly enough to their horses would be the first to see the mass arrival of Miroru clones and with no means to know better believed themselves to be greatly outnumbered as the sound of shuriken slicing through the air would signal the bandits impending doom. Some hit men, others hit horses but regardless there was carnage and injury to be seen. The animals struck would fall to the ground in a heap of pain while the men would writhe on the dirt struggling to tend to their wounds.

If this mission were simply to make the bandits scatter or even arrest them then half of it would have been taken care of, but orders were orders so the pain of being tossed from their mounts or skewered by projectiles was only a drop in the bucket for what was to come next. Thoughts swirled in Asahi's head as he planned his next move; a wide encompassing attack would do wonders but possibly hit the clones Miroru had created which, while most of them were fake, could have hit any of the more solid constructs so something with more control was needed. A quick set of seals would precede five sun like orbs flickering to life around the chunin and with simple waves of his hands they sought out the down and injured men phasing through them and evaporating any and all moisture their bodies held turning them into little more than husks. Their deaths were quick but far from painless. The numbers had dwindled but not all were knocking on death's door just yet. "Watch for any trying to make a quick get away on a horse, I'm going to go check on Shinde." Asahi called out to Miroru.

On the other side the sounds of battle and screams had alerted the bandits and where once they may have been caution it had been replaced by a morbid curiosity to see what could be calling their compatriots so much trouble, and as the rumbling of horse hooves shook the very earth the seals hidden beneath it sprang to life having had their formula disturbed. Multiple blades of slicing wind erupted from the ground gashing man and beast alike and sending them to the ground in various states of pain. The surprise attack stopped a few in their tracks which only made them an even bigger target for the clones fire-laden shuriken that whipped around them slicing and burning into the bandits.

Any who tried to get out of the immediate area would find themselves facing even more weaponry aiming to skewer them. Those who had managed to put their hands up to protect their vital organs found their limbs bloody and bruised and in their state of shock couldn't comprehend the two identical white haired youths speeding towards them bashing them from their horses onto the cold, unforgiving ground. At this point there were little more than battered and bruised stragglers that would be simple to finish off.

NAME: Shakuton: Kajōsatsu [Scorch Release: Extremely Steaming Murder ]

DESCRIPTION:
The user creates from their body several flaming orbs of heat that resemble small suns, ones that will hover around him/her within a close proximity. These orbs rotate around the user and can be freely controlled by will of their creator to attack enemies, which is done by quickly charging towards and entering the target as conducted heat. Once an orb has been conducted, the heat immediately courses all throughout the body of the afflicted; when used on a living being all of their bodily fluids will be evaporated, leaving them as a steaming mummified corpse. This heat is difficult to block since it is energy, leaving the only true defense being Water Release techniques. However, because the orbs cannot move farther than five meters from the user's body, staying at a long distance is also an efficient defense.

Shinde wasted no time putting herself and her clone into action, blazing in with a hail of shuriken and closing to clean up the survivors, and Asahi-

The Miroru horde skidded to a stop en masse as the sunspots dove down and dessicated their targets, a split second of absolute shock and horror showing just for a moment before she forced herself back into action.

The squad of copies and clones rushed in, crossing paths this way and that to confuse the targets, the intangible clones starting to get dispersed in close combat. That didn't stop the multiple redheads darting around with kunai, aiming blows for critical junctures- the jugular, the spine, the base of the skull, anyplace that would guarantee a less gruesome death than being converted into long pig jerky on the spot.

"Got it! I'll handle this!"

The squad rushed in and- deliberately- started to "lose" once Asahi was out of sight into the forest. One by one the clones and copies popped, leaving Miroru surrounded by wounded and angry bandits full of grief and outrage.

They were saying something, but all of them were talking- screaming- at once, on a warrior's high from surrounding the tiny "murderer"- only to have her flash all of two hand signs and engulf the area in Raiton as they rushed her, channeling the massive chakra of a Chidori into an outwards-blasting Current!

"Just don't give up on me! We can figure this out!"

[Hatake Shinde]

The battle seemed to be nearly over, and in this frame, the Ashen Kunoichi was more than content to continue her assault. Bandits, especially mounted ones or in armor could pose to be a serious threat. However, she didn't mess around. She kept her attacks efficient, and with her clone assaulting on two ends, and striking those bleeding and burned men, she made swift work. She swings her Jitte, anchoring a blade along the hooked edge, wrenching her arms slightly to the side as she thrusts the elongated tip into a bandit's throat, to knock the wind from him as she then raises her blunt blade, slamming it straight along his skull with a cracking sound. Her arm whipping out and throwing a few of her Kunai into the enemy rankings. It was a simple thing.

When she fell into the state of conflict, she acted more on instinct instead of any acted upon plan. Her eyes rapidly scanned all along herself, as she watched as the horses ran and fled from the burning flames. Staying close to her clone that kept her back, she found herself soon enough standing before a small myriad of fallen foes. What Asahi would come to see might have been a little bit morbid. As Shinde raises her Jitte overhead, and swings it down upon a bandit's head with a clunk. A thunk as she delivers the final cracking blows that would break skulls and send them to the Shinigami. Shinde however had no smile or satisfaction. If anything, her eyes looked a little bit cold. She'd gotten more used to killing and the violence.

It was a necessity. It was needed. She told herself that, as she moved forward. The plan seemed to go off without a hitch, something she greatly appreciated in moments like this. Until eventually, she stood before the last remaining bandit in question. There was no unnecessary cruelty. Only a finishing smash. "Targets are neutralized."

By the time Asahi crested the hill opposite himself and Miroru there wasn't much in the way of a view, well, that was a lie as there was quite a lot to see in terms of the dead and dying and thankfully Shinde was not among them. Given how quickly the bandits had been dealt with the chunin assumed that the seals he provided had been utilized and the girl had done well to take advantage of the chaos and confusion they surely caused. Still, it was impressive to see a person of her rank and age hold their own so well; Asahi wouldn't have dared take on such an assignment by himself during his genin days but it was good to know that Suna's allies were producing a powerful next generation.

"Good work, seems like they didn't give you too much trouble. Do what you need to finish up here then meet me and Miroru back at the--" His words cut off by the piercing screech coming from Miroru's location along with a brilliant surge of chakra that barely needed sensory abilities to register but could at the very least tell that it was the auburn haired youth. Getting back to Miroru's position the Suna-nin returned to little more than the twitching bodies of a group of bandits. He wasn't sure what exactly had happened to them other than being severely electrocuted. "Hell of a technique, whatever it was." Asahi called out to the girl with a chuckle.

There had been trepidation in letting Shinde work on her own and even more worry about not being able to come to the aid of one of them should things turn sour, but the two genin had gone above and beyond to not only take down the bandits but not put themselves in unnecessary danger; there wasn't much more Asahi could have asked for as a mission leader. "Looks like that's all of them, nature can have any horses that ran off. We'll send word to the villages once we get back to the border town and they'll handle the clean up." For the most part the trio had managed to keep the bridge clear so it shouldn't have had any impact to people needing to cross.

Just like that? It seemed to be over. The mission seemed like a success, and it allowed for her to reflect upon the experience. It was her first time working with a full team; a three man cell, and the first time she'd worked with someone outside of her village. It was an enlightening experience, and she couldn't say that she didn't dislike the experience. What she did dislike however was the recovery of her tools. How she ultimately ripped her ninja tools from the flesh presented before them; before they began making their way back the way they came; a mission well completed. As she did? She remained relatively quiet. As she seemed distant in her thoughts. Perhaps about the things she'd done today. Or perhaps to have the peace of solidarity.

It was just the way things were she supposed. Though; she was starting to realize the more of these kinds of things she did? The more numb and somewhat apathetic she was becoming towards it. Her cerulean eyes scanned the horizon, and she was at least glad to know this wasn't all mindless and for nothing after all. That even if it was a relatively small contribution, she was making changes for the betterment of the people of her nation; as well as that of their allies. That was something worth killing for. That was something worth continuing her duty. Before long? She would bid everyone farewell; and she'd split paths with Miroru no doubt once they returned to the village. Another job well done.

Asahi's compliment on his return was met with an unsteady smile from the redhead looking over the blasted bandits. "Aheh... yeah! It, um. It is. I've been making adjustments to the initial idea for the-"

Are you really going to tell him you invented a jutsu called the Zap Fist?

... noooo...

She cleared her throat and glanced to the side. "-for the base technique. That one just uses surfaces underfoot to deliver a whole lotta Raiton at once. Great for disabling a crowd."

Disabling. Right. Every one of those bandits was gonna be sporting electrical scars at least halfway up their legs, and their clothing was still smoking.

"And I'm making progress! No limbs blew off this time! Probably cuz I spread it all out!" She did her best to sound upbeat and not let on how much it still unsettled her how... hungry her chakra felt these days. Like it wanted to spill blood, and was happy to contort and empower itself to do just that.

"Sounds like a plan, Asahi-sama." She looked up and over and nodded to Shinde as she returned. "Looks like a job well done, so- good work everybody!" She nudged a groaning bandit and made a face. "Except you guys.

You're all jerks."

"Just don't give up on me! We can figure this out!"
