Trouble. That was the only way to put it. And of course, as much as Squeakers hoped that the era of peace could continue, he knew that they were reaching a turning point in history--and war and death were inevitable. The Jinchūriki wasn't so naive as to believe otherwise, but if there could be something done about the situation--whatever that may look like--he wanted in on it.
The only hopes that the jinchūriki had was to see what could be salvaged, and to stop the intruder. There would be time and room for investigation afterward, he was sure, but the threat needed to be eliminated as soon as possible--however that may have looked like.
From the brief report that had been given--as it was a time-sensitive situation--it seemed that there was only one intruder upon the tower base, which struck Squeakers as odd. Either the person was suicidal and intending to take as many people down with them as possible--murder-suicides were an effective form of relaying a message and getting some damage done, after all--or they truly felt it was a fair fight. Which meant that they would have to proceed with caution. Even if the numbers were on their side, Squeakers wasn't quite certain what they were dealing with just yet--and as a jinchūriki, and a shinobi aware of the presence of gods, he knew better than to underestimate a foe just because they worked alone.
They also didn't know what the assailant was after.
It could be trying to do some damage to a nation. But it could be that they were seeking someone in particular, too.
In nature of these kinds of events--there was some risk in Sanosuke and Squeakers being present upon the scene. On one hand, they were the village's best, so it was almost guaranteed that they'd put an end to the conflict.
But, on the other hand, due to the nature of their statuses, it was entirely possible that was the plan. Cause a scene and lure them out for something more nefarious.
Squeakers didn't want to get too cocky.
But he'd be a poor jinchūriki if he didn't respond to a call of distress and give his best to provide aide to his people. So his conviction was resolute.
"Understood, sir," Squeakers spoke firmly in response to his Lord's orders. Of course, formalities weren't usual between the two--they had a unique relationship; both as Lord and Jinchūriki, and as true comrades. And Squeakers wasn't one to throw around such niceties with sincerity, as he often displayed his trust and respect in less-apparent methods and honorifics were, if anything, more likely a sign of
disrespect and distrust coming from him. However, there were times, too, when things were
serious, and Squeakers liked to treat them as such. This wasn't a casual conversation or discussion of political plots between allies and trusted comrades where such formalities communicated a rift and distance, this was a situation of a shinobi accepting the orders provided to them, and a promise to fulfil their oath.
He was to fight. To stop the threat. And, above all else: survive.
It could be a difficult order for some to accept. The possibility of losing your only comrade in the village, someone who you had known for years and trusted more than anyone else there--the Lord and leader of the place you called home. One who should be protected, and guarded, like a sacred safehouse. To be sacrificed and slain, and to carry on without him if that's what needed to be done. But something that Mikazuki had always been prepared for, even if it was what she resented most about the shinobi lifestyle. She and Sanosuke were the same in that regard--and she had assured that much when they were younger. It was the harsh truth of the Shinobi world. Neither one of them could crumble just because someone close to them died. She could uphold that promise, though she would do whatever she could to ensure she wouldn't have to.
Shodaime would be working alongside Squeakers--whereas Squeakers would prefer to fight alone, he was going to have to learn how to fight with allies nearby. It was too dangerous for him to truly fight head-on, and most of his more powerful techniques required a disregard for the lives around him. So he'd have to adapt in other ways, as he always had so far, and hold back. Likely, there wouldn't be a need for him to go all-out, anyway. At least, he hoped so. And, so, with a skilled medic there to offer him aid, it should have been fine, even if he was fighting with his hands figuratively tied.
When the trio arrived to the scene, however, it appeared that things had already come to a quick end--
--The intruder apparently flung from what remained of the watch tower, striking himself in the chest to end his life quickly. Sanosuke yelled out in frustration--cutting his orders short, but Squeakers rushed out in front of the two as his Lord approached the dead body that had collapsed upon the floor. Holding out one hand as he drew his Ranmataru blade in his other, he quickly yelled out--
"Hold up." Squeakers had a long history with traitors and shinobi who weren't afraid to play dirty.
While Sanosuke wanted to capture the assailant alive if possible--Squeakers was much more interested in assuring his death. He was an unknown variable for the time being, and there could be plenty of information gained by a corpse--so long as the body was intact. Training to be a specialist in his own way to not give information even under torture, Squeakers didn't have the highest hopes for interrogation to begin with.
But it was more than that.
This shinobi appeared to be from Kumogakure--and already that information was starting to muddle things even more. The village that had been struck with plague and disease--had sent one of their own to attack Amegakure, of all nations? It sounded like suicide. It could have been a set up--but any village that wanted to start a war and frame Kumogakure as the instigator would have been their own allies, and that was troublesome enough on its own also. There was still too much uncertainty that they would have to investigate for further--but most concerning to Squeakers was how the shinobi had ended their own life.
Were they truly that scared of the Ame Lord?
Squeakers was almost certain that he'd not even yet seen the others arrive to the scene when he'd leapt from the building. And to his understanding, most shinobi only tried to take the "easy way out" when they'd already been caught--which it hadn't looked like the man had been detained yet at all. Suicide pills were most common among those who actually went into missions intending to end themselves through it, whereas this guy had seemed to do so hastily with what weaponry he could get his hands on.
And it felt all too familiar.
"If he wants to die, let him stay dead," Squeakers stated, quickly forming hand seals with his spare hand as inky black spikes shot out from the ground in front of him--impaling the body that was laid on the ground in such a fashion that it would be difficult to move the corpse from its place without ripping and tearing limbs and organs, as the pikes were disorganized and ununiformed in their placements and angles. If he was not stopped, Squeakers would then move quickly to behead the corpse with his blade, intending to hold the head in one hand if he succeeded.
I'm not seeing any symbols of Jashin upon first inspection, Squeakers thought as his gaze narrowed in on the lifeless body.
But just to be sure... "Make sure there's no weapons on the body. I don't want any hidden bombs blowing up on us." That was entirely possible, too, and they were in perfect range.
Jinchuuriki
After the sealing of Gyūki, Mikazuki's body took on many physical changes.
One of which, was a change of her natural chakra. It took on a monstrous form, raising to levels that exceed any other normal shinobi of even elite rank. The girl no longer has as amazing control on this new, horrendous amount of chakra as she used to, being unfamiliar with it.
The second alteration is Mikazuki's physical strength. Gyūki is considered to be the strongest Bijuu out of the nine (the exception being when the Gobi uses its special abilities), and this incredible strength has been transferred over to his jinchuriki. Mikazuki's strength has multiplied, making her far stronger than she ever used to be--even on a day to day basis, her assault prowess and overall strength has been increased greatly for her rank.
The third change is that Mikazuki now also has access to the tree of Ink Techniques, a style of jutsu that is unique to Gyūki.
Analytical Inteligence
Mikazuki is extremely perceptive and thinks logically – which can give her a great edge over enemy shinobi. Due to her application of knowledge, perception, and analytical skills, Mikazuki can easily dissect a situation and come up with conclusions based on her observations. Picking up on little details and putting reason behind it makes her an intimidating foe. Although she cannot figure everything out right off the bat, Mikazuki is able to analyze things on a much deeper level than most others could at her level.
One Handed Seals
Mikazuki is capable of creating seals with each of her hands, alone. Although most need both hands to perform a jutsu, Mikazuki can cast a jutsu with only one hand available--which gives her a great edge over opponents in battle should one hand be preoccupied or out of use. She can do one-handed seals with either of her hands.
NAME: Kanshi-in no Sumi [Ink Warden]
RANK: B
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Ink
HANDSEALS: Ox, Serpent, Monkey, Ram
DESCRIPTION:
After performing the hand seals, Mikazuki summons forth her chakra to the area, transforming its nature into ink before jutting it out at her opponents--the chakra-hardened ink shooting out into jet-dark spikes (each about one meter long), which are powerful enough to pierce through armor with relative ease, and durable enough not to be broken off so easily. This can be used defensively to protect herself from an opponent (who would otherwise get impaled by stepping too close), offensively (to strike at opponents within a 15-meter range and impale or stab them from a distance), or a strategic tactic to keep people at bay (summoning forth these spears of ink around exit and entry points, discouraging people to draw nearer to them). And although these spikes are created from her chakra being spread out into the surrounding area, they must "spawn" from a solid surface--the floor, a nearby tree, a door, etc. The range for this technique is 15 meters. It should be noted, however, that until Mikazuki expels her chakra or they're destroyed by another jutsu of higher rank, these spikes will continue to remain standing on their own.
