[attr=class,opunkibulkrule]This was going to be difficult for the cyan-haired youth. He was told more about how the clan's abilities would work and he wondered if he would have a difficult time taking specific attacks even more so when he wasn't actively using the clan's abilities. So being able to make sure he could take a hit and continue going seemed like a good idea for something Shiori needed to learn. Yet how was one to do this alone? Sure he could ask Hibiki again for help as he did before, but something about finding a new mentor seemed more fun to the young academy student.

So he would find himself wandering the village looking for someone who looked tough. Someone who looked like they could take a hit and continue going. There were quite a few shinobi and civilians around so there had to be at least one who could help him right? After some searching, he would find a woman who looked like she could hold her own in battle. Plus if he remembered correctly she had been in the chunin exams, though Shiori couldn't recall how they did, so that had to have meant they were skilled right?

So he would rush over to the woman and ask, "Would you be willing to help me train?" His eyes practically with stars in his eyes as he eagerly awaited her response. While he may have not known if she was indeed tough as he perceived her nor did he know if she could even teach him it just seemed like she would be a great mentor option for him. Even if she wasn't he would take her lessons to heart and learn from them either way, but he was certain she could bring some knowledge or ability to the table for training him.

KILLING YOUR IDOLS IS A CHORE

It was a day off inasmuch as Sadako ever allowed herself a day off; a couple of hours in the gym in the morning, hit the showers, force some protein down her throat, and then off for her daily run through pounding rain. It was meditative, relaxing in a way. She felt… not at peace, exactly, but like her mind had smoothed out, and the swell of hot emotion and idle irritations that so often plagued her thoughts were washed away by the pounding of pavement beneath her feet and the heavy drum of rain against her jacket. For some it might have been a useful time to reflect, but for Sadako, she instead thought of nothing at all: she focused solely on the ache in her muscles, the elevated rate of her beating heart, the burn in her lungs as one mile turned into five, into ten, into twenty. At the halfway point around the village she stopped for a brief break, indulging with a snack at the shioyaki stand she liked. Mackerel, freshly grilled and lush with salt on her tongue, felt like an indulgence that she hadn’t earned—but she’d been doing more of that, lately. Little permissions, breaking the rules, eating even though she wasn’t supposed to for another hour. It was with a mouthful of fish that she turned to the kid who eagerly rushed up to her, begging for… training? Sadako frowned, chewing thoughtfully as she wiped a sheen of sweat from her brow. "Th’fuck?” She spoke with her mouth full, then swallowed. This kid looked familiar… hadn’t she seen him hanging around the academy with Yua and Habiki? "You one of Yua’s little cousins? Academy? Whaddya want?”

[attr=class,opunkibulkrule]He had caught her midmouthful and honestly, Shiori felt a little bad for his inopportune time for asking and would let her compose herself before giving his response, but she seemed to know of him to some extent so that was good. Would make the whole introduction situation easier that's for sure! "I want you to beat me up!" Shiori would say with a smile on his face. It was quite literal in his definition as he was trying to train his defenses and in his probably misguided mind being beat up by someone was a good way of training this.

From what little he knew of her she was a very physical and aggressive person so if he was to be a punching bag she might be one of the more qualified people to do such a job. "Oh that's right," Shiori would say as he quickly straightened out his stature and bowed to Sadako. "Susano Shiori in your care!" he would say politely keeping his bow a bit longer than what was probably needed before rising again to stare excitingly into Sadako's eyes hoping she would agree to his very strange and unusual request.

Sadako barked a laugh, wiping a smear of grease from the corner of her mouth. "Fuck yeah, l’il dude,” she said approvingly. "‘s how you get stronger—fuck people up and get fucked up.” She snarfed down the last of the shioyaki, savoring the taste of salt on her tongue, and clapped the kid on the shoulder. "Takeda Sadako. Street’s a bad place for shit like this. C’mon, we’ll go to my place, there’s a dojo at the compound.” Weird guy asking her weird questions, but it wasn’t like she hadn’t done the same, once—maybe less cheerfully, less politely wet behind the ears, but when she was in the academy she’d picked fights with whoever she could get her hands on. She got her ass beat until she learned how to move right, and deal with whatever hits that did land. It kinda felt good, being on the other side of that equation. Maybe it was time for her to start passing on her hard-earned wisdom. Before they got to the dojo, though, Sadako had to start testing the kid’s limits. She wound up to slap him upside the head, hard, a flat open-handed strike when she felt reasonably sure that he wasn’t looking at her—just to see how he would react.
