Katsuo was ready for this fight, but not as determined to win the state of mind as most people might be. Rather he was curious how his opponent would fight. Konsho had lost his arm in the previous fight and was now without an arm much like Katsuo was after round two. So it was like he was going to be fighting a version of himself from the past. The only difference was time. Katsuo had the full month to recover and replace his arm while Konsho hadn't had that luxury. So what was he to do for the fight? Would it be out of the ordinary to go easy on the boy? Would that be seen as an insult? Or would it be better just to go all out? These questions plague Katsuo as he entered the arena, but ultimately he would decide this in the heat of battle.[break][break]

Once in the arena and after both participants were announced, Katsuo would look at his opponent with a bit of sadness on his face. Well, to be exact it was of pity, but who wouldn't pity someone who had suffered such an attack? So he had to speak before he decided to fight, "Do you want to make this a slow match so we don't overexert yourself since you are still recovering?" It was genuine concern for the Taki shinobi whom he fought two days earlier. Since it would mean things would be difficult for him to accomplish especially with only one arm.

Konsho had walked into the arena with more effort than he usually had. He was not in too much pain- not yet at least, but rather it was taking a lot of control to stay straight in his movements now he was missing an arm. His injuries had healed, medical ninjutsu may not be able to instantly restore his arm- but they could close the wound so he wouldn't have to worry about randomly bleeding from where the arm used to be. Still, they had unfortunately skipped physical therapy, so Konsho was not entirely used to the way his body shifted now.

He found it funny he was fighting Katsuo again. These exams seemed to have a sense of humor. Konsho was used to being the butt of jokes. Still the offer he gave was tempting. "You know... up until this point I've been feeding into my own bravado. Finally got a taste of pride. Seems that flew into hubris recently." Konsho would look at where his arm used to be. He knew he was at a disadvantage. If he could get any time to prepare himself for this fight, he'd take it. He'd be a fool not to. Playing into emotional vulnerability was just as much of tactic as a pincer strike. "I appreciate your offer. I'll take it." With that, Konsho would begin to approach the boy, running at his full speed out of instinct. His body would quickly move to and fro as he had to adjust for his own body weight. For a person who just lost his arm not even 24 hours ago, he was actually taking it rather well. Although it was still sloppy for now.

Should he feel sorry for Konsho? Probably. It was why he asked if he wanted to take it slow after all the man just recovered from losing an arm. Katsuo knew what this pain felt like and how long it would take to get used to the change in weight and balance. Not to mention how hard it would be to even fight without having another arm. KJatsuo was lucky he was able to get a break between his fights so he could get a replacement arm and practice using it, but Konsho didn't have that luxury. Katsuo felt bad for his opponent easily, but at the same time, he knew the boy was strong so he wanted to at the very least give him a fight worth fighting for. Especially because he knew the boy had pride and if he dashed them any more than it probably had been he wasn't sure if he would ever get back up.[break][break]

Grabbing the staff from his back he prepares for the wobbly attack of his opponent. He hadn't used the staff very much in this exam since he didn't have much jutsu or anything that utilized it and frankly, he wondered what even was the point of having the weapon in his arsenal. Aiming the staff at Konsho's feet he would sweep to smack the inside of his shins to knock him off balance. Since he wasn't the most stable anyways with his center of gravity now shifted he figured it would be the easiest way to slow him down for now.[break][break]

Konsho's assault would slow quickly, both to adjust to his own change in weight and also to avoid his opponents own attack. The boy had gone for Konsho's feet, likely an attempt at going easy on the boy. But given that Konsho now only had a singular arm to fall back on should his foot fail him, this 'handicap' had quickly become a detriment he couldn't afford. Any attempt to gain ground was cut off and push back when Katsuo went for the boy's legs. Usually Konsho would roll with the blow, using the spinning momentum as he tumbled from hand to shoulder back around and onto his feet. Unfortunately, that technique was invented with having two arms in mind. Perhaps he could use a burst of chakra to push himself back to his feet? Not good. Put it on the back burner. Focus.

However, Konsho was noticing something, although a few blows had landed on his legs, his strange off-center balance at the very least seemed to be throwing of Katsuo's aim. Either that or he was holding back by a considerable margin. Konsho hoped that their previous fight was throwing off Katsuo's calculations just enough to buy more time. During this stall period, Konsho would attempt to move and twist to keep his body as he gave an occasional counter strike. With each movement his body would adjust, getting more and more used to it's own limitations. Yet Konsho would try to hide his adjustment, occasionally letting his balance falter- causing attacks to come with too much force or too quickly to recover from. From these he would take small injuries- or so was the hope- but it would conceal his actual plans.

Then would come the As Konsho tried to close the gap again, stopping a foot from his opponent as he prepared Hurricane Thrust. Konsho would not aim for the boy, but instead for his weapon, using Tree Climbing to cling to the bo staff. Chakra welling within Konsho's body as he formed tiger with his one hand. His body would disappear in a cloud of smoke, as his body moved faster than the eye could process, planning to drag the boy's own weapon back into his body with devastating effect. Body Flicker

[break]Once he is comfortable, Konsho will begin to use Hurricane Thrust aiming for the boy's weapon, before using body flicker to slam the weapon into the boy's body. This will send Konsho flying as a consequence- but he hasn't figured that part out.

Certainly an interesting move choice of his opponent and probably one of the more ingenious ones someone could come up with in this exam in Katsuo's mind, but it wouldn't deter him. Not fully at least. The force would be strong, but Katsuo would keep his ground keeping his stance stable not to be knocked down by Konsho's ingenious attack. His metal arm was being used as a brace for both himself and his staff as the attack would come at him. He wouldn't take damage, but he would be pushed backwards with the ground breaking below him in the process. [break][break]

As the movement would gradually slow, Katsuo would take this opportunity to try and rush his opponent to attack. Taking his staff and letting it go to his side he would rush forward himself not taking into account that Konsho was still moving along with his staff in the process too. Teaching for his pocket to grab some sand to toss into Konsho's face he miscalculated how fast Konsho was going to his speed and the two would collide together. Closing his eyes to brace for impact Katsuo knew this was gonna hurt. Yet when Katsuo expected to butt heads with the Taki-shinobi he found something else touching him instead. It was soft and warm despite the force with which they collided. Opening his eyes he found himself in a weirder situation than he was expecting his lips were touching Konsho's lips and the two were kissing. [break][break]

Pulling back Katsuo would jump away from the other boy in shock. First, he gets proposed to by Koji and now he was being kissed by Konsho. What was next? Flustered at the series of events Katsuo wasn't sure how to proceed with this battle and instead decided he didn't want to continue this. Face still red he raised his arm and shouted, "I surrender!" Not even waiting for the Procter to call the match Katsuo would run out of the arena to safety away from the boy. [break][break]

Once in a secluded area, he would begin breathing heavily in panic as he felt an intense pain in his chest beginning to well up inside of him. What was this feeling? His eyes would begin to water after each heavy breath. Was he crying? Why? Was it because of the kiss? Was it because he was so embarrassed to have been in that situation? Was it because he surrendered? He didn't know which was the correct answer. The one thing he did know was that he wasn't sure how he would face a lot of people now. He had supposedly seduced two boys from other villages and his reputation was certainly going to be different now. He just hoped it wouldn't be a bad one.

Konsho had failed to realize that his own attack would cause whiplash, as his own leg still clung to the staff and the staff braced against his opponent. Whipping around his opponent, Konsho would brace as he saw himself going towards a head on collision with the rival shinobi. If only the following moments had been that. Konsho's next few minutes would be confusing.

The first part was the kiss, which it seemed that Katsuo had not been expecting either. The two pulled away, Konsho crouching low as his brain tried figure out how the events had played that way. Had Katsuo done this hoping to fluster him? If so, Konsho was not going to be thrown back so easily. Yet it was plain to see that Katsuo was the more flustered of the two combatants. Was that a ploy as well?

Then the blonde haired kid's arms shot into the air, Konsho dropping low to close the distance between his target- whom had obviously just used the kiss to cause Konsho to overthink the situation- all so he could charge a powerful attack. But what followed confused the blue haired shinobi even more. He... surrendered? Was he really that flustered by a simple kiss?
