"Yeah, we could do that. Really, does it matter what the real us's are doing as long as the job gets done?" Miroru asked, tilting her head. "Intel is good, though. We could hand any intel off to the local authorities in case the gangs get up to more trouble later..."

"Mohkahy, sho," Miroru mumbled around a mouthful of sesame balls and yakitori. "We got it all planned out, right? We found the bases we're gonna wreck; we found a good place for the brawl that won't cause many problems. We got a course of action to wreck the bases once the fight's started; and we're gonna comb the bases for intel that the local authorities might be able to use later in case this isn't enough of a derrent." She shoved a mochi whole into her mouth and chewed for a moment. "Iff dehr anyffihn we fohgoht?"

To her, this seemed all thought out as well as it needed to be. The plans were set, the locations were scouted- she was under the impression the only thing left was to do it. She could be wrong, though, and if anyone would know better, she trusted Itsuki to be that person!

"Just don't give up on me! We can figure this out!"

Swallowing a mouthful of food, Itsuki shot his friend a look that said she shouldn't be talking and eating at the same time. "That sounds about right," he said after slurping at the sweet drink he'd bought, "it's just a matter of figuring out when to start everything. Can't give the stuff to the authorities though, we're not involved remember? Better to leave it in an obvious place or just take it back home for the old folks to figure out."

Since the whole thing couldn't be tied to Konoha, they wouldn't be able to dump a bunch of incriminating documents on the local law enforcement, but that didn't mean they couldn't make things a bit easier for them.

It really did seem like they just needed to get out there and get started... but he was feeling far too lazy to actually make a start. Instead he was going to enjoy a well deserved snack and consider just what their next course of action was. There was a benefit to whichever path they decided to go, but they definitely needed to choose when to strike carefully, considering the possible collateral damage, the state of the gangs, and just how the two shiniobi were feeling as well.

After all, no point taking action if they weren't ready either. That was just asking for trouble.

As long as one was not a member of one of the gangs, the events of that evening went smoothly. The diguised clone ambushes did a perfect job of setting the stage for the later chaos, and- by directing them to draw out the gangs supporting their victims, in short order, they had crowds clamoring for their heads as they beelined towards the predetermined combat area. The brawl went down exactly as planned, with heavy beatings on all sides, and the deconstruction of their bases was just as simple as they'd expected, and flush with extra evidence and intel they could return to the village for use in later suppression or elimination of the gang threats as needed.

All in all, as exhausting as it had been to do all the planning and footwork, when it all came together, it did so smoothly and with exciting efficacy, leaving both Miroru and Itsuki with their packs and heads full of information and evidence, both gangs without proper headuqarters, and none of them any the wiser that they'd been drawn into the conflict unwittingly.

Which left only two more things for the pair-

A long walk back to Konoha;

And a celebratory dinner for their mission's success!!!

The actual execution of their plan was kinda... anticlimactic. They were a pair of rather skilled young shinobi vs what was essentially a rabble of vaguely organised nationalistic idiots. It was almost too simple, and Itsuki found himself rather bored even as he heaped whatever info and items he found in the bases into his pack he couldn't help but yawn slightly. 

Should have picked a more combat oriented mission. He did get to use Shinranshin no Jutsu on one of the guards that nearly caught them, sending the man to fight his companions in a 'drunken' stupor. The fact he had initially tried to do the jutsu with one hand almost had him caught, but he was able to recover quick enough to avoid that. It was a little frustrating that he couldn't get even a small success with the technique... but that just meant he was going to have to really focus his training he supposed.

Still, it was also nice to not have anything go wrong either, sometimes a C rank mission was just a C rank mission after all. 

With the whole thing dealt with for the moment, the duo left as unremarked as they entered, the trip back to Konoha spent with more unsuccessful attempts at getting single handseal jutsu to work, alongside plenty of laughter, practical jokes, and general fun.

The fight over who was paying for the celebratory dinner did get viscious though...
