Outskirts of Amegakure, Afternoon

Trouble and Taro went together like... Something good and something else good. Or something bad and something equally bad. The point is, Taro found himself in trouble a lot. Fights, scrapes, bang up jobs, you name it, he'd tried it.

Of course, being a Shinobi meant you weren't really allowed to go out and act like some sort of miscreant on a mission to cause as much strife as possible. You were military. You had like, a job to do. And stuff.

Not that it ever stopped Taro. No, he just came up with different ways to get into scraps and scrapes without getting others involved. That was technically being responsible, right? If he was only beating up some gangsters and not involving the locals, was that really such a problem?

...Maybe. Maybe not. Point is, last scrap Taro got into was outside of Amegakure. Not far outside, mind you. It's not like he'd traveled half the land of storms or anything- Just far enough out that someone would squint very hard at him if they saw him doing such a thing, but perhaps he could argue he was still within the borders of the village.

...Okay, probably not, but still. At least he won this one. For the most part, anyways. His right shoulder was dislocated, he had a chipped rib, and there were more then a few cuts and bruises on him, but man, you should have seen the other guys.

Don't actually look for the other guys though. Just take his word for it that he got out of it much better than they did, promise. Not that really changed much, because now he was stuck outside of town, hurt, and without the ability to go back into said town without someone catching him and no doubt ratting him out for causing mischief outside the village.

Oh how his parents would be disappointed in him if they saw him now...

Regardless, Taro sat up against a rather large tree, sheltering himself from the rain as he slowly wrapped bandages around a rather nasty cut from a knife over his left arm. It was a pretty piss poor job, but to be honest, he wouldn't die. As long as it didn't get infected or something. His eyes were wandering around, making sure nobody snuck up on him while he was recovering, but thankfully the stormy weather the land was known so well for was hiding him from most darting eyes- Which made it much, much easier for him to sit back and try to relax.

He'd probably have to wait overnight, at least until the wounds healed properly... And he could make up a good enough excuse. Though, he was pretty bad at those. He teetered on the edge of figuring he'd be better off just being honest about what he was doing out here, but in truth, his teenage mind saw that as a risk he didn't want to take, and felt lying would be a much more appropriate line of action.

To that end, here he was, out in the rain, blood soaking into the ground as he nursed his wounds. ... At least this day couldn't get any worse, right?

Amegakure sat middle of a lake in Arashi no Kuni. It's outskirts that weren't the village were all at the edge of this body of water, it meant there was a massive stretch to miss out on someone hiding away. Likely if Momo's goal had been to find the genin, then she'd of struggled severely to even know where to start. Sadly for Taro, she'd be finding him out of sheer coincidence.

Momo was on a hunt, she needed parts from a deer for a few reasons. The price of such already processed parts was insane to the chuunin, so she'd be seeking her own kill. It'd be the deer that Taro saw first, a rather impressive buck. Emerging from the tree's closest to the lake, between Taro and the fact it'd run straight to waters edge. The animal didn't know what to do, it was frozen in the middle of a decision. Left or right, before it could decide, an arrow would strike with such force it'd take the animal off it's own feet.

Shocked and confused the animal would momentarily struggle, before a second less driven arrow hit the animal square in the head. An unlikely archer exiting the woods, as Momo was simply a peculiar breed. Her skin was a palish white, her eyes and hair were bright colorful shades unusual for the normal person. Most peculiar of all though this girl had a clear pair of horns, black with red adorned markings on either side of her head.

Hot on the animals trail, she'd of noticed Taro prior to releasing her second arrow. She'd of probably handled finishing the animal differently had there not been a witness to scar. Moving on her kill and closer to the boy, the medical kunoichi would notice his poorly wrapped bandages. The arm off center due to the dislocated shoulder and there was a clear sign he'd be in no position to handle a straining task. Eyes locked on his location, as she'd quickly walk to then past her kill.

It'd take a second of focused thought, but she'd realize along with the severity of his wounds he was an Amegakure shinobi. "Eh..." She wasn't normal in a physical or social manner, so shifting to a more stiff stance she'd introduce herself formally. "T-Takehara Momo, Operations Team One..." Getting even closer to the boy, she'd invade his personal space and take a knee next to him. In order to get a better look at his wound, her hands moving to his arm and neck. "...I'm a medic hold still."

Huh? Was that a deer? Out here? Taro squinted, hand gently moving towards his side. It wasn't often animals would come to the scene of a fight- At least, not the plant eaters. Taro had hunted before- He knew that much. But when the creature ran past towards, well, the water, a raised brow curled over his forehead.

He would have assumed further, seeing it look rapidly around- But it seemed such a look was too late. An arrow pierced the air, and in a moment, Taro had almost scrambled to his knees, grabbing a Kunai out of his pouch. A threat? Always better to assume so. Maybe those guys hadn't felt so great about their loss and had come to pull off a finishing blow.

He didn't have much of a chance to consider such a thing, as a second arrow flew past and put the creature to sleep. Aiming for the head... A risky move, in Taro's eyes. He'd seen bucks take larger blows then that to the head- Thick skulled creatures. Had to be a good shot to kill it with a headshot. Still, down the creature went, which meant those arrows weren't for Taro- They were to hunt.

Imagine his surprise, then, when a girl even shorter than himself made her way out of the woods. Pale skinned, blue hair- Vibrant eyes. It wasn't hard to tell that it was someone from his village. Although he rarely got a good look or talked to anyone from his village, he knew most of the unique looking Shinobi at least based on their appearance, and in that regard, having horns and bright colored hair sort of made one stand out in a crowd.

To that degree, he was able to relax. At least it was someone from the village. Even if he were to be in trouble, at least Taro wouldn't have to worry about getting stabbed or something by an opponent. As her eyes turned to his, Taro glanced away and towards the ground. Was it out of shame? Maybe. But then the woman spoke, and his heart seemed to lighten. What a soft sounding woman. Taro almost blushed, but was still in enough pain to ignore the idea of 'pretty girls'. Instead...

There was worry when he heard the womans rank. Had she been sent out? Were there others? He barely noticed as she spoke, but her sudden insistence to invade his personal space got a bit of a squint and a raised head from the teen.

"H-hey...!" He didn't ask for help. He didn't care if she was a medic, he was fine. Well, he wasn't fine. On the contrary, he was actually very injured, and looked like he was close to passing out.

"I... Fine." As she moved a hand to his arm, he hissed a bit, reactionary and out of pain. He wasn't expecting her to get all up in his grill, as some would say, as his own hand pressed against the dirt.

"...Are you alone? Please tell me nobody came out here to find me..." He grumbled. He hadn't introduced himself yet, but... Well. There was time for that when he wasn't worried he was going to get thrown into some form of hell for his little escapade.

Momo hadn't moved up to assist Taro because he'd wanted her help. He didn't need to ask her for help to see he needed help. "I have eyes." She'd state almost disappointedly at his statement of being fine. He couldn't even fully get the sentence out, he seemed like a hot head they usually spoke clearer. It wasn't the clearest hint to pick up on, but it didn't need to be clear.

An Amegakure genin, a shinobi she should look after, he was injured outside of the village and was trying to cover it up. The last line about if she was alone was a bit concerning. The fact he felt there was a specific party or people looking to find him, it wasn't the type of thing to write off. It wasn't the pressing matter either, she had a patient needing treating.

She'd shift in even closer, hovering over to block him against the tree he'd sat. Her moves though weren't intimidating, she moved in slow and leaned over him almost at an intimate level. A diversion as her eyes locked on him did everything to convey peace or happiness. "Don't worry..."

Then even softer she'd whisper. "...This'll hurt." Her hands would grasp his arm and shoulder. She had bullish strength despite her appearance, in one very painful movement she'd further dislocate the shoulder. Shift it, then relocate it properly setting it back with an audible pop, which was likely deafened by the sheer sudden pain.

Using her closeness she'd restrain him if the pain caused too much a violent reaction. She didn't want him accidentally flailing and breaking something else or further breaking something. After he struggled or proved his resilience, she'd move to unravel one of his poorly wrapped bandages. Granted it was commendable for someone with a previously dislocated shoulder. "None of these bandages are for style right?"

A grit of his teeth as she called him out. In truth, he had just stumbled over his words. He knew he was injured, he wasn't really trying to hide it so much as rock through the pain. He was more stumbling over this woman that was sort of just... Well, giving him all sorts of attention.

As he moved to sit up, she blocked him. Oh... She was getting... Very, very close. Taro's eyes grew wide as she leaned in intimately with him, and he wondered for a moment if this woman was going to steal his first kiss, right here, against the tree. Don't worry...? Oh... Goodness, yes please. He was starting to blush, as she whispered into his ear.

'This'll hurt'

Oh you son of a- YOUCH! Taro's eyes went wide for a moment, and a whimper nearly left his lips, but he was absolutely determined not to show the pain. It hurt a lot. Like, a lot a lot. She could tell he was in a horrible amount of pain from that little move, but he was toughing it out. Because that's just the kind of guy he was. He faced adversity head on, he didn't shy away from it. This was just another form of it.

As she moved to unravel his bandage, he bit his lip. Ow. That was not what he wanted done to him, but it didn't hurt as much as the relocation so it wasn't too bad.

"Do I look like I wear style bandages?" ... A moment, before he sighed and corrected himself. "Sorry, that was uncalled for. No. It was bleeding pretty bad..." And it was, to be fair. A while prior the wound had been oozing quite a bit of blood, so it was a rather good thing he'd managed to wrap it at all. It was still oozing. At least the heavy bleeding had stopped, but oozing was still losing blood. It probably needed some proper bandaging.

That said, as she worked on his injuries, besides the obvious of him telling him anything she needed to know about him and his wounds, something curious hung on his head.

"...Why do you have horns?" It was sort of out of left field, but in truth, it wasn't as if they were in a rush to get anywhere. The fact that she wasn't dragging him back home and was treating him out here was show enough that she wasn't here to like, capture him or something. So she easily earned a good amount of trust and respect from the young teen.

A momentary glare and scowl came from the goat, as he'd go from 'fine' to 'Do I look like I wear style bandages?' There was nothing fine about needing bandages especially when they're over stitch necessary wounds. As well as when they're not properly sanitized. Thankfully there'd be no need to formulate her thoughts into words. He'd realize his folly and accept her aid finally giving useful responses.

Though his responses were a bit late, as she'd release a 'sealed' wound. Granted it was clearly still bleeding through the bandage. Her movements were quick and a bit hurried, but his condition got her blood pumping a little. She'd try to keep calm as her demeanor often influenced her bodies level of transformation. She needed to have a human level of focus, retrieving the bow from her side, she'd pull the dirtied bandage up on the boys arm. Quickly wrapping it tight and using her bow to twist it momentarily so tight it'd cut the circulation.

Retrieving a small scroll from her side pouch, she'd summon her medical kit. A small bottle of sanitation fluid, she'd quickly pour it over the wound to clean it off. Taking a clothe over it to wipe it clean, before pulling a needle out form the medical kit. As well as grabbing shinobi wire from her pouch, she'd narrowly wire the needle just in time. As she'd ready herself to stitch his wound shut, he'd ask her why she had horns.

Her appearance was due to the bloodline based down in her mother being accidently triggered as a baby and lingering as a sort of permanent defect. Momo wasn't always the best with words, emotional topics just made it harder and there was nothing harder for her than think about her mother. She'd look away from the wound a couple seconds, her face momentarily taken over by horror. A bleak look of woeful sorrow, then a deep sigh she'd look back to the wound.

Momo couldn't recover her composure exactly, but she'd stitch the wound. Her face pale with a sick looking expression, she needed to better herself though and in attempt to give a better bed side manner. She'd make her best attempt to joke weakly. "To knock out patients who don't comply..." Finishing the stitch, she'd clean up the excess blood from the procedure's unintended pause. Quickly retrieving a clean bandage from her med kit, wrapping it off tightly with what seemed like the perfect pressure. Late to chakra control her practical medicine skills meant she needed to perform bandaging more than most.

"Are anymore of these wounds bleeding this bad or worst?" The strange shinobi would ask, as she'd point out the other wounds. She still seemed to have this air of discomfort from the earlier question, but the more she pushed through focusing on diagnoses and recovery of her patient the easier it passed. Maybe she'd find a better way to explain, but he had a lot to answer prior to her really dishing out more about herself.

Well, he was being sarcastic. Seems it didn't levitate well back towards the goat girl because she suddenly seemed... What's the word... Distant. She seemed very distant. Taro watched as she pulled off his bandages. He almost moved a hand to block her from doing so- But... Well, again, she seemed to know what she was doing.

Doubly so when she pulled out her bow and tied it around him tight. He hissed in pain- That was... God, that hurt worse then the actual original injury- But it did good to stop the blood at least. The sanitation fluid, the rest of the work- It was rather simple stuff, but he was stiff as he watched her work. He could take a lot of pain. He had a tolerance that was far higher then the average shinobi. But that didn't really make it hurt any less.

Her response to his question though, was unexpected. He didn't really expect her to suddenly show a look of horror on her face- And then sorrow, as if he had brought up some PTSD from asking about her horns. He kind of assumed she got asked it a lot. Guess he was wrong.

Still, she gave him an answer, though it seemed she had a bit of a smartass streak to herself. He would have refuted that, but she pulled again with the lovely stitching, causing him to grit his teeth as he spat off to the side. What a pain in the ass.

"No." He added on as she asked of his other wounds. He looked over his body. The dislocation, the wound, other then that... Right, as he aimed to sit up, he felt that sharp pain.

"I think I hurt my ribs pretty bad, too. I don't know how bad though." He muttered. In truth, it wasn't exactly something he was thrilled to admit- But he had no idea how bad internal injuries were. He wasn't a medical-nin, as it were, so for all he knew, he could have a rib sticking into his stomach or something.

In truth, it was a fractured lower rib that was painfully digging into his muscles, but little more then that. How she dealt with it was, well, up to her once again.

"Thanks again... What are the chances a medic stumbles upon me out here in a place like this..." He almost laughed, but stopped when he realized that would hurt. A lot. He smiled instead, find with his distraction, having rather forgotten, or let the topic drop, on her horns.

"Phew, I'm still sanitizing and rebandaging these. An infection can be twice as scary as a wound sometimes." Momo would insist, as she'd move on to changing out all his bandages. Lightly cleaning each uncovered wound, it'd be during this he'd let her know about his rib. A question she could diagnose, but not much else.

Due to Momo's abilities and chakra often triggering them worst, she wasn't very proficient in chakra control yet. This meant she didn't have the rather common techniques of her more medically focused counter parts. She wouldn't be able to fix a broken rib on the fly and there was no practical medicine to cure it. He'd need to go to Amegakure's hospital in her professional opinion. Granted he'd made it slightly clear he lacked the interest of other Amegakure shinobi.

"Takeoff your shirt and show me where it hurts, I'll try to examine the scope of it." Without the ability to scan for chakra, she'd simply have to pad around his ribs. Watching his reaction to the spots she'd pad down, as well as looking for the beginnings of bruising. She wouldn't have the pinpoint knowledge of what was wrong, but hopefully she could pinpoint if it was a rib or multiple and roughly how badly broken.

"It's okay. You're not all that lucky though, I am a better archer than I am a medic." She had this unreal idea of others coming into this situation and just extending their hands to fix the problem. As though the bandages would magically clean and the wounds would all mend perfectly with a rejuvenating effect. All of that in half the time too, but it wasn't quite that simple for the better medics either.

"... So before I give my diagnoses here, uh-think you could explain yourself a little? You haven't even given me a name..." Momo had every right to be concerned. She could of been patching up a recently escaped murderer disguised as an Amegakure shinobi. He might be some immediately relative to the Ame Lord and some heinous betrayal happened and he's now on the run. There could be a group of missing nin around the corner just about to catch up and exact revenge on the genin. He wasn't in the type of state that said, everything is fine here.

Infections... Yuck. He'd had a few run ins with those. Taro was no stranger to injuries and wounds, and infection was honestly one of the worst. It tended to evolve into fevers and fevers...

He shuddered just thinking about it, watching as she began changing the rest of his bandages. She was being very helpful here, and in truth, it was winning a bit of favor in Taro's court. Not something he'd just blurt aloud, but well, it spoke for itself as his body seemed to relax a little. Trusting horned people wasn't exactly something Taro did often.

When she asked him to take off his shirt, his face grew into a blush. This woman wasn't that much older than him, and while Taro was not someone who tried not to focus on that sort of thing, showing off your bare chest to strange, albeit pretty women on request was always a good way to turn heads.

"...Sure." But she'd earned the trust from him to do that. He slowly slipped his shirt off, the rather thick linen t-shirt a stark contrast to the modern life of Amegakure. It looked more like something a fathers son would wear. He placed it down to the side, before tapping ever so gently with his middle finger onto his lower rib. Lightly enough not to hurt it, anyways.

A careful eye could tell it wasn't too bad. It was likely chipped, though if she was skilled, she could see it was chipped in three places. Blunt instrument, from the looks of it, with a nice, gross purple bruise over the entire thing. Of course, if her eyes decided to look anywhere but the injury, she'd see the rest of the Shinobi's form. Taro grew up on a farm, fighting in scraps and bustles for most of his life. So he was rather well in-shape, with defined abs and a toned body... Among the variety of scars he'd accumulated from knife fights and muggings over his life.

"... Oh, yeah... I'm Taro. Genin ... All of this..." He looked down at his own injured form, as he bit his lip for just a moment. "Lets just say there were... A few thugs I had to settle business with." He glanced away. The look on his face said it didn't go so favorably for him.

"I had to sneak out. It was my business to deal with. Didn't want anyone else getting involved." Could see where that got him though. Laid out against a tree in the rain with a busted rib and probably a week in the hospital, at this rate.

"And I'd say I'm pretty lucky. I was almost worried those guys came back to finish the job..." He laughed. Ow, that hurt.

Any admiration for the genin's figure was brief upon the shirts removal. She'd be focused in onto the specific injury, perhaps the most severe of the injuries. Unlike him who'd highlighted the area with a light touch, to examine it's scale the goat would apply ample pressure. Feeling the wound and around it, she'd not have the skill to exactly diagnose it. She did however have a firm belief it was multiple fractures.

"Yeah, it doesn't seem to be life threatening, but you've got multiple chipped ribs. I'm not able to discern exact number, but it's condensed to this area." Perhaps the last bit of information was obvious with the wound. However when things chipped there was a risk pieces shifted to spots they didn't belong. It however didn't seem to be the case in this situation, she'd give him a once over before allowing him to put the shift back on.

"You can re-dress." She'd instruct looking to see if he needed assistance, if wanted or better yet just necessary to make the process less painful she'd help. As she'd finish with that she'd look over her shoulder, as to look through the cover behind them. His wounds and last bit of information meant there was in fact things to be concerned about, at least the possibility of concerns. She was impart more concerned for those who might of had bad business with Taro, as she was quite confident in her skills in combat.

After all she was a better archer than medic. "What type of thugs? Shinobi? Do you think they're likely to show still?" Momo had a lot to ask now that she had fulfilled what she could do medically in this situation. She contemplated perhaps giving one of her pills to the genin, it'd be a perfect way to ease his pain. He'd likely be lights out though, she'd probably even have to half her dose just to be safe. Maybe even a quarter. Other than that thought, their 'extraction' back to Amegakure was all that was left.

Ample pressure did wonders for his pain. That is to say, it hurt like hell. He hissed, almost grabbing at her wrist to stop it, before he wound himself up and shook his head, muttering something. Could she hear the mutterings, it'd sound a lot like 'Just push through it'. Which didn't really have a lot of impact, but regardless...

When she asked him to re-dress, having given a good diagnosis on his injuries, he slowly slipped the shirt back up and over his body, having realized there wasn't much reason to keep sitting out in the rain half-naked. Though, in a way, it did feel good, as he ears were spurned towards her attention. She was asking about who attacked him, even further. He glanced off to the side for a moment, rubbing his injured ribs a few times to relieve the pressure as he contemplated telling her anything.

"Just some guys I owed money to. Not Shinobi, just... Loansharks." He grumbled. "Please don't tell anyone. This was their message, and my lesson. They won't be back, and if they do, I want to deal with it myself." He frowned, looking over at her.

"It only got out of hand because I couldn't pay them back. It was a stupid mistake, that's all." He added, with a dissatisfied grunt.

Non-shinobi opposition, especially after successfully doing this much damage. She doubted there'd be anything truly to fear, at least as far as threats to her own life. It mattered less to her than others to a degree, she often question if she deserved to be here. In that sense Momo could empathize with Taro's situation. "I understand the pain of unpaid debts." Momo stated somberly.

The girls look shifted back to a rather jaded and depressed look. She was looking away from Taro, but not out at anything particular. Her pupils lightly twitching as if straining to watch something, but also unable to look away. Her memories actively haunting her, as she'd suppress them again with a deep sigh. Redemption for her was a long path she doubted she could accomplish, but she wouldn't give up so easily.

"Y-You shouldn't..." Momo stammered struggling to collect her words. "... take on such risks alone." These were words she needed to better follow herself. She wasn't the best teammate, as she would usually be a tired stupor or a liability. At least that's how she'd been most of her life, it was only recently she'd really worked on leaving that isolated behavior behind. She could never advance or do better on her own.

"Surely. There's those who can assist you perhaps not in the way which hurts your pride?" Whether this meant a travelling companion or a friend with bale money, it didn't really matter to Momo. She knew those who aided her in her life fit in largely around her, it was something which made her all the more indebted. Though her debts didn't seem to have such immediate threat to her health. Whether Taro didn't want to risk others skin or feel the shame of needing aid wasn't important. Her role said the health of patients came first.

Taro wasn't really sure what she was talking about when she said she knew about debts. She didn't look like someone who carried many around, but Taro also wasn't a great judge of character when it came to reading into his fellow Shinobi. So her look off to the side sadly swept by him, as he slowly pushed himself to his feet.

"They are my risks to take in the first place. If I got other people involved, then I'd just be in debt to more people." He grumbled, as he looked over his injured form for but a moment. He shook his head. He'd suffer through it. He'd rather do that then put that weight on anyone else.

"It's not about pride. It's about owing even more people. I get into a lot of fights- I don't want other people getting caught up in my mess. It's just part of who I am." He explained, as he grabbed his cloak from nearby and shifted it up over his shoulders.

"Do you think you could... Sneak me back in, though? I don't want any of the guards to see that a Genin snuck out. I really don't need that kind of trouble on my back." He grimaced firmly, wiping the rain off his face. It could have been worse. He was mildly okay with how things were going so far. At least he wouldn't have to crawl back.

"Hmm..." Momo didn't exactly like the mindset of the genin. His sentiment at least didn't not make sense to her, but it also had to be wrong in her own opinion. In order to be here now she needed to become indebted to so many people, she needed them to take risks on her and then not deliver immediately repercussions for late payment. There was still so much to repay, she'd think to herself returning to her own feet as well.

If he could stand then she needed to as well, if there was an unknown assassin, she'd be the one in charge of confronting them. There'd be no way Amegakure would be cool with her letting their own fall to his own mistakes. At least she felt that was the appropriate line of thought. The good way to be a kunoichi. However he'd mention getting into a lot of fights, to which she had to question if she actually knew his level of guilt or crime. These stories could all be lies and miss information.

She'd trust her instinct and faith in Amegakure shinobi though, it wasn't hard to sympathize with him again. If she wasn't constantly dopped out, she'd of been in more fights than conversations in her youth. She'd probably of been buried right next to her mother at this point. It felt so awful knowing that debt could never truly be repaid. These thoughts needed to slow and she needed to calm herself. It was likely a good time to dose. Momo would quite casually retrieve a small pill bottle unseal it and retrieve a single dose to take.

Attempting to strike before the pill took full effect, Momo would consider everything Taro had stated and now asked of her. "I suppose... Hmm... If you're helping me hunt that buck. We could say when you attempted to scare it out for me, it attacked you explaining your absence and injury." The chuunin spoke her idea rather softly and choose her words quite clearly. She did so with a hand over her heart, as though swearing to it personally or taking it in a heartfelt sentiment. Nodding at the end of her words she felt it was a pretty good cover. She'd have proven her Takehara intellect perhaps.

Granted she still silently waited approval, even if it would just be from a genin.

Standing up with him, he leaned against the tree for a moment for support. Not too bad. With the aid she'd done, he could at least drag himself back. But the look in her eyes- Well, he could tell there were more thoughts going on behind that skull then just how to get him out of trouble. He was finally starting to notice her discomfort, and he crossed his arms in response to it.

"Like I said. Don't worry about it. There's nothing you can do about it- And even if you could, I wouldn't want you getting pulled into it anyways." Taro was a man of sin, sure. He fought, cussed, and gambled with his life. But never did he try to get his allies or comrades in trouble. He was always there to make sure the people he cared about- The people he was loyal to- Were protected. If that meant pushing someone away when they tried to help, that was fine to him. Even if it was self-destructive, something he had yet to come to terms with.

When she pulled out a pill bottle, however, his eyebrows rose. He couldn't help himself from asking, I mean, why wouldn't he ask-

"What are those for?" A good attempt to sway the conversation away from his own troubles and injuries. Whether or not she explained her medicine, he'd listen curtly to her idea. It was a good one. Yeah, he was helping hunt and the buck kicked his ass. Sounded way better then getting beaten up by loan sharks anyways.

"Yeah. That works. Thanks for that... I'll find some way to pay you back, I promise." It was iron wrought, really. She'd just admitted to helping him out of a bind, and for that, she'd earned a good deal of loyalty out of the Genin... Even if she didn't care to look for it.

"I'll follow you." He added on quaintly, as he adjusted his cloak further. It'd be a walk with a limp from the pain, but it wasn't as though he was searching for pity or help moving. That said, if she did decide to help, he'd begrudgingly accept such a thing.
