a cold wind caresses the yukigakure docks and momoka, stepping off the boat that has just come into the harbor, gently nuzzles deeper into the big pink coat that dwarfs her minuscule stature. the wind buffets against her sensitive folded cat ears, and sinks beneath the fur on her long, lashing tail. with a soft sigh, she silently remarks to herself that it is far too frigid this far north.[break][break]

the blush-pink girl doesn't really want to be here right now. she's here with norio, a mysterious man who must be of higher rank than she is, because he keeps bringing her to allied countries under pretenses he simply handwaves and explains away as "important shinobi business". the only reason she's here is to gain more experience with working with allied nations, but such a pretense is more counterproductive than it is useful. she can't know anything of why they are in yukigakure, she can't know anything of the business norio is conducting, and she can't know anything of who he is meeting with. she's simply expected to accompany him to the meeting site, and then go wait for him somewhere where she won't be a bother to the local ninja.[break][break]

a sigh leaves her lips, then flutters onto the air in visible vapor as norio lands on the docks alongside her. idle hands are the devil's workshop, so momoka busies herself with her sketchbook, where she idly draws the landscape around her with careful, slitted pupils. all they have to do now is wait for their escort.

[attr="class","skullbody"]The wheels of the train chugged along towards a station, on the cold winter morning in Yuki no Kuni. Amongst its passengers was young Jun Muramatsa a member of Yukigakure's diplomacy corps sits in her seat with a sketchbook in hand gently brushing away as she waited to arrive at the port to begin her first day as an official member of the diplomacy corps.

But unlike her usual outings as a member of the diplomacy corps today was her first time on her own, no one to watch over her and not a chaperone in sight. As the train pulled into the station she would watch as the ships made their way to shore glance up at her frost tinted window as she finished placing the last few touches on her sketch before making her way off of the train. Looking down at her diplomacy corps badge with pride as she made her way off the locomotive.

She spent the morning familiarizing herself with her duties and made sure to be as punctual as possible, taking extra care to leave home early it was her first day after all and she wanted to leave a strong impression. During her briefing earlier that morning she'd been told that she'd be escorting a group of Iwagakure shinobi towards a meeting place in the village and that it was her job to make sure their trip went smoothly. As she waded her way through the crowd the girl would look about at the ships that had come into port looking specifically for port number 7 and would make her way there standing beside side a small crowd of people who all seemed to either be waiting to board or waiting to greet their loved ones.

She stood out amongst the sea of people in her large purple coat and shinobi headband visible from a mile away. And as the ship came into port the girl would open out her sketchbook and flip it to the page of her latest drawing which revealed the Iwagakurian crest drawn in the style of a fuinjutsu seal with several intricate brush strokes that all seemed to come off as very elaborate and eye-catching, a soft smile adorning her features as she stood at the edge of the port.

As she waited for them to come to her, in the back of her mind she had wondered just who it might be that would arrive, she had met quite a few fascinating members of Iwagakure in her time as member of the diplomacy corps and she could only wonder whom else she may discover. And in some small part there was a slight flutter in her heart as she wondered if she may encounter a certain someone again. He would always cross her mind when she thought of his home village and had still kept him in her thoughts. But those feelings were for another time, for now she needed to focus on the task at hand.
