Ever since Shinde failed the Chunin Exams, she had been obsessed with growth and success in training. Working long and hard, the young Hatake heiress invested only the bare minimums in her missions, and instead spent dawn to dusk in her skills along the training grounds. The only other thing she'd diverted her attention for was lectures from her grandmother in etiquette, politeness, and the beginnings of politics. As her father was often gone on his missions, council meetings, or other endeavors, she had taken the liberty to step up with her grandmother's guidance and the elders to begin handling domestic affairs of the Hatake clan. Anything from minor disputes to more serious rooted missions. Such was her duty and expectation if she was to be the future leader.

Toshizou was a man more interested in the efforts of the greater village as a whole as opposed to the intricacies of the clan and its political position, and she sought to rectify this. As a bastard with originally no heritage, training, or ideals impressed upon her, she felt that in order to be accepted by those of her clan, she had to step up to be a different kind of leader. A kind of person Toshizou wasn't. Today, she found herself fiercely looking out upon the targets that rest before her, honing her instincts and perception as she let loose throwing stars in burst like motions. Earlier today, she had sparred against swordsmen; honing her Kenjutsu technique. She aspired to be better. Aspired to do become prodigious; as was necessary for her to earn the respect and loyalties of those relatives of hers.

It wasn’t often that Kazui found herself inside the village’s public training ground, in fact it was rare nowadays to see her outside of the Uchiha compound at all if it wasn’t for official business that needed to be taken care of. Which was why the girl was out of her house in the first place. There were a few errands that needed to be run so she promptly handled those, passing by the training grounds multiple times as she carried out her duties, peering inside every chance she got just to see who may have been there. She repeated this process until curiosity finally got the best of her.

The girl was a bit concerned for her village, so subconsciously she was worried about how things were going, especially since she had been gone for so long. She was curious to see what changed, who were the new kids on the block so to speak that were making a name for themselves. Just a year and a half ago Kazui could have cared little about what was going on within the borders so long as everything was fine but now the teen found serenity with her home and wishes to see it flourish in any way. And little did the raven know, she was willing to help wherever she saw fit.

"You’re throwing too hard.”

From her lips the girl softly spoke her mind out loud, her thoughts accidentally spewing out into the open allowing for everyone nearby to hear her seemingly judge the way this young kunoichi was throwing her shuriken. "Relax a bit more before you start your wind up, it’ll make your motion more fluid and increase the velocity of your star.” Kazui doubled down and continued to offer the girl advice. Stepping closer and closer, she eventually stood beside the ivory haired youth.

"You must have a lot on your mind, yeah? Or a lot on your shoulders? Which is it?” The teen asked as she began to fetch a few shuriken from her pouch.

Little Know It All - Extreme Intelligence
It was no secret that Kazui was regarded as a scholar when she was in the academy. One of the smartest in her class, the Uchiha often found herself correcting and/or helping out people older than herself. Many considered her very intellectual then, but that was just only the surface of her potential. Now, the girl is regarded as a genius, her IQ is nothing to be taken lightly or to be taken for granted, even as a young chunin. The teen possesses amazing mental capacity, is able to concentrate flawlessly even in the heat of battle, can calculate things in her head with great speed, and is able to remember many things with perfect recollection, even if it’s just useless information that is meant to be disregarded. In addition to that, Kazui is very deductive, competent, and witted. Her mind is the most dangerous weapon she possesses for many reasons. The girl is highly alert, aware, and very analytical, and she is also very ingenious and is capable of thinking outside of the box as well. Not only is she capable of reading, analyzing, and breaking down a person’s fighting style, but she can also determine what kind of person they are just by the way they speak, the way they carry themselves, and their thoughts on certain things. While doing this, it’s incredibly difficult to deceive the girl, especially if one is not skilled in the art of deception. Furthermore, Kazui can formulate numerous plans to certain situations in mere seconds. She thinks 10 steps ahead, and always has a back up plan just incase.

Gone In The Wind - Blistering Speed
As a child, Kazui was born weaker than others. Her health conditions set the girl at a disadvantage physically since birth, however her constant effort and drive to become the best has pushed her far beyond many others the same rank as herself. Her speed is nothing to be taken lightly, she has pushed herself physically to be able to not only outpace her opponent, but outright force them into keeping up with her and pushing them to the brink with her speed as well. The girl is fast, quick, and agile, even rivaling those who dedicated their entire life to the art of taijutsu to the point where if they haven’t specifically honed their speed, then the girl could outright outclass them in that regard. Those with weak perception often have trouble perceiving the girl’s movements, and to a normal human’s eye perceiving her is nigh impossible. All of her movements are inhumanly quick and hard to keep track of, and when used in conjunction with her sharingan, it can make her a formidable opponent for even the strongest of shinobi.

The Minimalist - Chakra Control
There was a problem that Kazui noticed during her time in the academy and that was the fact that she often found herself tiring out and exhausting herself rather quickly, even when she had just started she could feel herself beginning to wilt. So to counter those measures, the girl studied and asked around, trying to find the reason behind it and if there was a way she could fix it. She wasn’t born with massive reserves so while she utilized her justus, she often did so wastefully. But now, the girl has managed to control the amount of chakra she uses in a technique that allows her to fight much longer than before. She uses the absolute bare minimum of the chakra that’s needed, and not a drop more.

Uchiha Bloodline: Two Tomoe Sharingan
Being born within the Uchiha clan, Kazui has been blessed and/or cursed with a power that only an Uchiha can possess and use to its complete and full potential when they have experienced extreme emotions that causes their chakra to pour into their optic nerves, gifting them with the Sharingan, also known as the eyes that reflect the heart. There are three stages to the sharingan, and it is tracked by the amount of tomoe that appears around an Uchiha’s pupil. One tomoe unlocks the eye of insight, it grants the user the ability to see chakra within an opponent or ally and it also gives an increase to the user’s perceptive abilities. Two tomoe grants the user the eye of hypnotism, while in turn increasing the previous abilities that the ‘Eye of Insight’ grants. The girl’s precognition and perception is heightened well beyond what’s achievable by even the most skilled and elite shinobi, allowing her more of a predictive insight on her opponent as well as the world around her. In terms of her being able to track extremely fast objects and people alike, the eye also allows a natural reactive ability that helps her respond more accurately than a single tomoe could ever allow. As for the ability to see chakra, with a second tomoe the smallest and most faint sources of chakra can easily be spotted by the eye without any issue at all. Assigning color and analyzing the flow of the chakra, Kazui can tell which nature is going to be used as well as where the chakra will be coming from.

These illusions are very powerful in nature and are some of the most dangerous known to the art, they are well beyond standard genjutsu, and in addition the illusions can be casted with just a single glare. Those who met her gaze will find themselves under her spell before they can even realize what happened.

Tiny Dancer - Elusiveness
Kazui is one quick girl, which isn’t hard to tell. Thanks to her training, the girl has amazing agility and reflexes that allow her to keep herself out of harms way. Even without her sharingan being active, Kazui possesses sharp perceptive abilities and reflexes that allows her to become an escape artist of some sort as well as a complete nuisance to those trying to fight her. The girl’s reaction speed is superb and not to be taken lightly as it is, however, when the dojutsu is active, taking into account the girl’s great speed and adding her keen reflexes into the mix, it’s capabilities are much more potent and useful to the Uchiha. With this, not only is Kazui capable of keeping track of even the most renowned speediest opponents and attacks, the girl is able to keep up with, and react to them as well with relative ease.

Wake Up To Reality - KME Genjutsu Prowess
As an Uchiha it is believed that Kazui and many of her clanmen were born with a natural affinity for the art of genjutsu, but of course none of it can ever come to fruition if there is no effort placed behind it. However, since she was constantly reminded by those around her about that fact, the girl began to focus on the art more than ever before.

Although her illusions do become much more elaborate, less flawed in a certain sense, and stronger, the true results come more in the form of defending herself against genjutsu. Her vast knowledge of the art as well as her training and extremely high sensory capabilities allow for the Uchiha’s escape efforts to be significantly stronger than it normally is, allowing her to free herself from genjutsu up to 1 rank above what she is typically capable of via the special ability granted to the Uchiha with The Sharingan’s genjutsu escape. It should be noted however that genjutsu reversal does not receive any additional boosts from this ability.

Sleight of Hand - Seals Master
As Kazui grew older and gained more experience and familiarity with the ninja arts, the girl’s chakra control had essentially been mastered along with her speed and accuracy with forming hand-seals. Countless of hours spent training, learning, and even creating new jutsu has made the girl grow familiar with every seal needed to perform any jutsu, every motion for every combination, her body absorbed and memorized - allowing her to flow through the motions with no given thought or effort. Her speed with forming these seals is insanely quick and precise, she’s even capable of stringing together the lengthiest combinations of hand seals and casting jutsu faster than most can even dream of keeping up with, making it appear as if she hadn’t even tried to use any hand-seals to begin with. Her vast knowledge and familiarity with sealing in addition to her refined chakra control has lead her to being able to utilize only a single hand to form a seal as well, though she only does this under certain circumstances.

Confronted with the voice of the stranger, she let her hands drop, as she turns her head to see a dark haired raven. She was older, a senior by the seem of it. Someone who was more experienced. "Both." Stretching her fingers, she clenches her hands into fists a few times, before then letting her hands rest relaxed behind her back. "My name is Shinde. Hatake Shinde." She says, before bowing her head politely. "You're from the Uchiha clan?" She guessed, as the woman before her seemed to be a textbook Uchiha. Dark of hair and eyes. Having that somewhat pale skin and familiar face that she was getting used to. She'd been visiting their compound from time to time as of recent after all.

"I wasn't always a Hatake, you see. I was legitimized very recently when my father came to me. So, all of a sudden, I'm finding myself the heiress to a clan. With heavy expectations. For progression in my skills; as well as hopes for politics. So. I feel as if I need to train harder than ever. Because of the hopes that the clan will continue strong. That I need to be exceptional." She rubbed the back of her head, taking a deep sigh. Before looking to the Shuriken Kazui began to draw. Blue eyes looked intuitively at the motions she made, before she shook her head. "I don't feel like I'm advancing fast enough on my own. And some things have been really getting me down. It doesn't help that I don't really have any friends to talk about them."

With a simple nod of her head Kazui confirmed that she was indeed an Uchiha. Despite the fact that she was a world renowned shinobi she didn’t expect too many young people to be familiar with her. Nevertheless, although she already knew the answer to her own question, it was still better for the girl to admit it out loud that she was indeed under a bit of duress. Luckily the white haired kunoichi had no problem doing so, she admitted that despite not being a biological Hatake she was finding herself with the responsibilities of an heiress to a clan she did not truly belong to. The raven clenched her teeth slightly showing a bit of discomfort towards the young girl’s situation. "That sounds like…a lot.” She mumbled softly, her eyes wandering for a bit before quickly darting back over towards her counterpart. Dark hues looked over her figure, she was young, possibly still a preteen. A sigh escaped her lips as she continued on.

"How old are you, Shinde?” She asked, but before Kazui allowed the girl to answer she would interject adding more onto her original inquiry. "Regardless, you’re far too young to be worried about these sorts of things.” She explained. Drawing in a deep breath, the girl exhaled gently before launching a pair of kunai down the open range and into the chest of the wooden targets.

"These matters tend to come with time, everything grows to become better with every day that passes by. But for now I think it’s best for you to focus on nothing more than learning and getting a grasp of what it’s truly like to be a kunoichi. After a while you’ll find yourself, and all of this that seems so stressful now will come to you effortlessly.” The raven explained. Nodding her head towards the dummies down the stretch, Kazui signaled for the girl to give the shuriken another shot. "Remember, relax.” She offered a reminder.

"It is a lot..." She was about to speak, to answer Kazui's question, but frowned. She gave a deep sigh as she took in the answer in full. "I'm thirteen. Almost fourteen now. But it doesn't change the fact that the expectations are there. The need for a strong and capable leader. Someone that isn't just willing, but able to step up to the table and answer challenges as they arise. If I don't do it? Who will?" It was a difficult thought to digest, but for Shinde, that was an essential fact. Where her father did handle things to various degrees, he wasn't a politician. And after learning more about him, his lust had lead to complications. She had to strive to do better than he did.

"...I'm expected to get married soon." She said awkwardly, and with it, she seemed to dance around in her head. It was an incredibly strange thought to digest. Her adjustment was swift, and she was putting on the pressure well, but the thought that she needed to move within these constraints? It made her seek to accelerate her progress. To grow up faster than ever and advance to greater heights. She took her Shuriken in hand, and she focused her eyes on the targets before her. And with it, as she threw them out, she never noticed how tense her shoulders and arms were. The conflict in her mind and heart were reflected in her throwing stars, as they arced and slammed against one another. Even though Shurikenjutsu was one of her prided skills.

"I'm just very confused. On what my life is going to be. How I can push myself to match myself to these responsibilities. It'd be selfish of me to shunt those duties aside...Wouldn't it?"

Kazui often didn’t speak a lot, so when it came to listening there was no other person better than her at hearing and accepting someone else’s problems and offering ways to remediate them. Nevertheless, Shinde’s situation was a bit tricky and needed a tad bit more delicacy when it came to how the raven should handle the issue at hand. "I can’t say that you’re wrong for feeling how you do. But in the same sense, why should you be so worried about what others expect from you?” Placing her hands on her hips, Kazui’s gaze darted off to the side as she began to dig deeper into her own thoughts. "Hmm. Ask yourself this, Shinde. When was the last time anyone went above and beyond to meet your expectations? Do you believe that anyone is stressed or bothered by the fact that they may have let you down? disappointed you?” A sigh escaped her breath as she decided to bring the whole point together.

"What I’m trying to say is that, it’s okay to strive to exceed expectations. However, at what point does one realize that they’re putting themselves through unnecessary emotional turmoil just for the approval of those who would not do the same?” With that being said Kazui internally sighed a breath of relief as she felt as if she made her point clear enough for Shinde to open her eyes.

As for the young girl getting married soon, Kazui had little to offer on the situation simply because she wasn’t married and she wasn’t too sure about the circumstances behind such a decision. She assumed it was the girl’s choice but with a father like Toshizou, Kazui wouldn’t be surprised if he were feeding this idea to her impressionable mind. Nevertheless, the raven carried on, deciding that she would inquire about the marriage later but for now, as Shinde launched her shuriken, causing them to collide with one another and crash into the dirt, the older teen spoke up once more.

"Before you begin your wind up, take three deep breaths, three seconds to focus on your target, and then utilize as much of your wrist as possible when you throw, also relax your shoulders as best as you can.” She offered more advice to the young girl. "I can tell that this situation is weighing on you heavily. You want to be the best version of yourself and understandably so. You have great potential and those of the Hatake clan should be lucky to have you around at all, let alone as a potential leader. But you HAVE to ignore these expectations placed upon you by others and simply focus on exceeding your own, as little or as big as they may be. Everything that you do should be for the betterment of yourself first and foremost. Trying to please everyone before yourself will drive you crazy. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health.” The raven explained.

Her health conditions set the girl at a disadvantage physically since birth, however her constant effort and drive to become the best has pushed her far beyond many others the same rank as herself. Her speed is nothing to be taken lightly, she has pushed herself physically to be able to not only outpace her opponent, but outright force them into keeping up with her and pushing them to the brink with her speed as well. The girl is fast, quick, and agile, even rivaling those who dedicated their entire life to the art of taijutsu to the point where if they haven’t specifically honed their speed, then the girl could outright outclass them in that regard. Those with weak perception often have trouble perceiving the girl’s movements, and to a normal human’s eye perceiving her is nigh impossible. All of her movements are inhumanly quick and hard to keep track of, and when used in conjunction with her sharingan, it can make her a formidable opponent for even the strongest of shinobi.

She reflected upon the time where she was once Iruhi Shinde as opposed to Hatake Shinde. It was a different tie, and yet, it was not much longer than a year and a half ago that she was another normal, average person in Konoha. Not from any clan, or with any significant expectations. But now that she was here where she was, it was difficult to fathom how much her life had changed within that short time. When asked why she cared so much about what others had to think of her? "Because I was told I was the future of the clan. And if I don't stand above the rest, as someone worth respect and admiration, the clan will not follow. Being part of it and ruling it is different." Or so she felt anyways. She rubbed her face softly, and with it, she shook her head.

"The last time...Was when my mom. She took a break from work. To really congratulate me when I graduated from the Academy. Stayed at home to train me in jutsu. And gave me the best birthday. Made all of my favorites. A-And." She found herself wiping her eyes, as she remembered those simpler times and longed for them. She was happy to be part of something bigger and have a larger family, but at the same time, she felt as if there was indeed a lot on her shoulders. While her father wasn't particularly the type to worry, and would much like Kazui tell her to take her time, she could feel the weight bearing down on her. A few streams of tears dripped down her cheeks as she looked out across the targets. She took a few deep breaths, but she felt her cheeks flush a bit with shame.

One part because she was crying right now in front of a stranger, two because she told some fairly sensitive information to someone. Three, because the words she said made her feel better. "The thing is that..your mother is the only person worth going above and beyond for.” The Uchiha explained. "If you can shift your thinking from pleasing the clan to making your mother proud, then you will feel a lot less pressure on your shoulders while still maintaining that same level of desire to be great.” Perhaps Shinde was still a bit too young to understand, so there wouldn’t be much that Kazui could do except be there for the girl along the way until she began to get the hang of it, life that is.

"Kazui.” The raven answered plainly. "You can call me Kazui, and there is no need to thank me.” She went on, memories flooding her thoughts with moments where the Uchiha herself needed help and only one person answered the call so to speak. And without that one particular Senju, then Kazui more than likely wouldn’t be who she was today. So, it was only right to continue to pass on the love especially when a young shinobi is in need of assistance. "Just promise me one day when you grow to become a powerful kunoichi, that you will keep this day in mind. For when the day comes and you happen to stumble across a struggling student, you will not hesitate to offer them a hand. Regardless of who they are.” With another pat on the shoulder followed by a side hug, Kazui focused on the targets ahead.

"Now, no more tears.” The teen spoke. With one hand Kazui gently lifted Shinde’s head high, chin towards the sky confidently. With the other, the raven wiped away any straggling tears that began to run down the girl’s cheek. "Tell the world who you are, Hatake Shinde, don’t be shy. Yell it from the rooftops.” Figuratively speaking of course, but still the same concept nonetheless. Sometimes those who lacked confidence needed to hear themselves of all people speak highly of their own name, this was an easy way to kickstart a person’s drive and dedication. And although most of the time it simply wouldn’t be able to maintain without the additional support of others, it was still enough to last for quite a while.

There was some conflicted feelings regarding that overall. However, the words she gave made a lot of sense and seemed to help her feel a little bit less stressed on the whole affair. Before she'd wipe her eyes with a bit of a sniffle. "I guess maybe I'm trying a little bit too hard on this thing. I've got time." She says with a bit of reassurance to herself now. Maybe she needed to believe in herself a little bit more and needed the resolve to try not to jump for unrealistic expectations. However, with that said. She listened to the name. Kazui. The dark haired raven introduced herself, and asked for Shinde to simply repay the act of kindness to somebody else. She could at least nod her head then to that.

"I will." Looking out towards those targets, she felt her hand a little less tense. More steady then as she reached into her holster and took out another handful of Shuriken. Flinging them outward with a whip of motion, watching as they whirred through the air and sank with plinking sounds along the wooden targets. It was fascinating how simple changes in attitude and mood could effect so much. Shinde would have never imagined that there could be such a difference. However, as she looked outward towards those, she found herself shaking her fingers out. "...You seem to be speaking from a lot of experience on this kind of stuff." She says somewhat observantly.

The ravenette nodded her head slowly as Shinde mentioned that she might’ve been taking things too fast, and she surely was. These things came with time, and although there is no problem with wanting to be efficient, rushing on the other hand often causes more harm than good. "Good.” The teen mumbled quietly, silence soon falling over the two of them as Shinde focused on her targets down the range.

A strong gust of wind blew across the field, causing trees and shrubbery alike to dance with the flowing breeze. "Relax. Focus. Execute.” If the Hatake focused on these three elements, then she would surely succeed in anything she puts her mind to. Watching closely, Shinde armed herself with a few shuriken before launching them in unison. The sound of the circling blade cutting through the air as the ninja star whizzed down the range and sunk its blades into the wooden targets.

Slightly smirking, Kazui gave Shinde a chuckle before patting her on the shoulder. "See. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself.” Folding her arms across her chest, the Ravenette was a breath away from asking her to do it again. However, the Uchiha was cut off by Shinde’s curiosity and observant nature.

"Well I wouldn’t be trying to help if I hadn’t gone through similar situations myself..”

Her experiences were the reason why she spoke so much to begin with, she didn’t want to see Shinde going through a similar struggle such as the one she herself endured growing up. Everything made a bit more sense once they mentioned who they were. Uchiha Kazui. The Uchiha were known to be highly conversationalist, proud, and having strong sense of attachment to their militant culture. As is expected out of most Shinobi clans so she reckoned. Still. "I see..." It made a lot of sense now. However, how was she supposed to digest all that she'd heard? Considering whom it came from. There was still a level of thought then.

"Tell me...What's it like being an Uchiha?" It was a strange question, but she was curious, as she looked ahead at the target ahead of her. Before proceeding to hurl another handful of Shuriken that whipped through the air and sank into the target, whipping at a sideways angle. She found herself reflecting on her own clan identity, in addition to her mental health. Amongst other things she supposed. However, that was just all a part of it all wasn't it? "What did you have to do to become the kind of ninja you are now?" The tension in her seemed to be more fargone now. Granting her a greater level of comfort she supposed as she took it all in stride. Maybe by getting to know Kazui a bit better and know her story, she could reflect and become a better Kunoichi herself. A better ninja.

She couldn't care any less about the sharingan, her brother was an immaculate shinobi without it.

A sigh gently escaped the ravenette’s breath before she began blowing raspberries through pursed lips. "Hmm.” She pondered. What was it like being an Uchiha? The woman dove deep to retrieve the most truthful answer she could provide - not exactly looking to shine light over her clan. To Kazui the cold hard truth was all that she could speak. "It’s…uh it can get difficult at times.” She voiced almost reluctantly. "Most of us have great pride. Taught as such, it basically pulses through our veins. We’re prideful of who we are and our heritage…so much so that it often pulls the wool right over our own eyes.”

She shrugged, watching as the Hatake continued to launch shuriken after shuriken down range. "We are flawed yet we act as if we can do no wrong, which causes more problems than solutions. It’s difficult, yet I still cherish my clan wholeheartedly. We can do better however.” Kazui explained. The jonin had to admit that she was happy to see that Shinde was begin to settle within her mind and spirit, hitting her targets with superb precision.

"As for me becoming the kunoichi that I am today, well a lot played into it. The most important factor was my hunger for knowledge and personal growth. As bad as it sounds, I just wanted to prove to my father that he was wrong. I may have gotten lucky as well, I managed to stumble across a pretty notable and well established jonin during my time in the academy.” With a nod Kazui’s gaze returned to the Hatake, awaiting her eventual response.

Pride did seem to be the thing that destroyed all people, didn't it? She listened to Kazui tell her tale about her clan, about how they prided their history, and traditions, and culture, and held their identity as Uchiha to be first and foremost. Listening to her frustrations, it seemed clear that she didn't agree with that line of thinking. Perhaps she wanted to implement change and see the clan change their ways even. A reflective thought. Now that I have one, and the opportunities to advance in ways I never had before, with so many people looking up to me, I feel like I don't want to disappoint. Though. I suppose I realize now that I've got time. I'm still young, and all this pressure. It's a lot to take in. I'm grateful though. That there are people that will guide me along the way." Voicing that thought out, she found herself throwing another throwing star, as she corrects her aim and focuses on every minute detail of how the star is thrown. A sound mind and sound body made a sound soul they said. That must have been right. Pretty legitimate there.

"As long as your heart pumps and your fighting spirit remains, you will always have time. I am sure you understand that, Shinde. But remember as I explained to you earlier - the only expectations you truly need to worry about…are your own.” As Shinde’s shuriken were launched, they’d strike their targets with force a loud sequence of thuds could be heard as the cold metal met with the center of the wooden dummy.

"Hmph.” A pleased grin curled over the woman’s lips as she folded her arms across her chest. "Well, it looks as if I’m no longer needed here.” Kazui voiced playfully as she began to turn on her heels.
