Raika can feel her own cheeks burning at the suggestion that she should stay with Hibana, even if it was only for a few days and only in order to help her recover for an injury the Genin herself had indirectly caused. That didn't stop her from thinking about what else they might end up doing all alone in her house- but she had to stop the thoughts there, or she'd end up passing out from the blood rushing suddenly to her head so soon after an intense physical exertion like that. It seems that Hibana is having similar thoughts, though, judging by the way she speaks in such a rapid fire manner after the suggestion, and she remembers that when Hibana had gotten excited back in the Academy days, that she'd spit out words just like that. That was that, then.

"Mmmh, something tells me you wouldn't mind my company at all.~ As it is, I guess I don't mind cleaning up for you, too, but we can discuss how you'll repay me for cleaning up after you once we get back to your place..."

As she says this, she ends up smirking a bit, flashing the Byakugan once, but only for a moment. Although they start off with Hibana limping next to her with an arm around Raika's waist, the Hyuuga quickly becomes impatient with this arrangement, and instead reaches her arms under the Chuunin, lifting her off her feet and carrying her bridal style, with one arm bracing her shoulders and one under her knees. Such a carry would also keep her ankle elevated, and it would keep the weight off the recovering injury, too. And it was also more romantic, but Raika wasn't trying to think about that. While walking back, she has to stop at the gate guard to explain that Hibana had become injured during a perimeter sweep, just to make sure the Chuunin wouldn't get in trouble.

The Pink Blur

As she got lifted into the air Hibana could not help but feel safe and secure. Another feeling began to build up within her as the muscular Hyuuga carried her back through the gate. She had never felt anything like this before, at least not about anyone else. It was the feeling she had when she was running full speed through the trees feeling freedom. She tried to hide her face when Raika walked them up to the Guardian stall. Her co-workers only smiled and nodded to them she assumed intemidated by Raika. It did not matter she rested her head on the chest of the taller woman showing her the way to take her home.
