As his attempt to keep everyone from piling into the room immediately failed, as everyone started piling into the room, he took a deep breath, trying his best to keep his composure. This was an incredibly serious and dangerous situation, yet so many were acting as if it were some type of sight seeing trip and wanting to get in their own comments. He simply hoped it wouldn't come off threatening or their words any type of trigger for misunderstandings with the leader of this puppeteer group. Perhaps he was being a bit hard on them, but he didn't express it in more than a few glances, and his bandages otherwise hid his facial expressions.
"Then why not simply stand down all of your warriors, open these cages, and let all of your captors walk away now? Some of those with us can escort them out, and we can have a less tense discussion. There's no way you don't see how this looks to us, especially given the attacks above."
He wasn't so naive to think that would simply work and they'd suddenly be taking all of these people out without even raising a fist, but he'd kick his own ass if he didn't at least try. As soon as some of these other creatures started to move forward he looked back and made a motion towards the other shinobi as if asking him not to move forward as well, shaking his head at them, almost pleading with his eyes. When the leader spoke again, he turned back, his eyes narrowing.
"It was equally met, and of course it would be. We came to a scene of you wreaking havoc and defended ourselves and the others you were targeting. A lack of human emotion and sentimentality surely hasn't stripped you of common sense and intelligence."
Try as he might, trying to keep his own frustration and fear hidden, it was mentally getting to him. His earlier thoughts lashed out as his comrades, but only because he was protective of them, wanting to make sure he was the one that would be attacked if things went wrong and not them. Now this staff wielding crazy was slowly showing his hand, and for all his patience, he knew his words were falling on deaf ears. The last thing he wanted was this to devolve into a fight, but at this rate it was more likely to devolve into a shit show.
He would have loved to stand here and debate all of this with the "man", and to a degree he even greed with a part of what was being said in regards to this human body cage, but not the time, not the place, and perhaps not the right person to have the conversation with. At the sudden movement, his eyes darted from one, then the next, and finally back to the leader, eyes narrowing on him once again, as he lowered his stance defensively. His hands were tightening, and with it the strings of his puppets tugging, causing their arms to pull off the ground, seeing the scene in front of him. He was the one wanting desperately for no one else to act recklessly, but now he was about to be the one acting, done with listening this monologue, and done with this entire scene.
"There's a part of me that understands your love for metal, understands your fondness of your current form. If you'd allow me to show you, I'll prove it, just give me a moment to show you."
The pack stuck to his back made a whirring noise from inside, as he held up a hand towards the leader to show he wasn't acting aggressively, as he pulled at a puppet string he attached to the pack, as a compartment opened, and a scroll unraveled. Grabbing what had fallen free, he pulled it around as he jumped down from his puppet, still holding up one hand, very slowly moving it to touch the center with his palm, as a humanoid shaped puppet burst forth.
"This is a puppet of mine, I call them Gusten."
Tugging at his chakra string, the scroll rolled back up as the backpack clanged shut. For a moment, all of Tsusho's puppet strings receded, and his puppet fell inactive, as he kept looking at the leader, stepping forward and attached all of his strings to the puppet in front of him, as the back of it opened, allowing Tsusho to step inside, sealing him inside. His voice echoed out with a metallic sound, as he turned back around, showing his back to the leader for just a second, and then turned back, his arms spread wide.
"I understand."
Chakra strings shot out from the back of the metal puppet suit, as the four puppets moved back to life, as Tsusho had walked around in front of his own puppets, standing much closer to the leader, but keeping his arms extended, trying to display himself as no threat. As he moved a step closer, he extended his hand as if offering it to shake. When he felt he could get any closer, suddenly a chain shot out of the right extended arm of the puppet and wasn't targeting the leader, but the control staff he was holding. His left arm raised and from it what looking like a steel cable unwound from the puppets arm, much like the chain trying to latch on not to the leader, but his staff. If either or both grabbed the staff, he would use his strength and that of the puppet to pull back as hard as he could, trying to either break the staff or preferably outright take it from him.
