Enemies were falling, reinforcements had arrived and it felt like they were going to take care of this threat one and for all. The fervor with which their enemies had used to launch assaults was all but gone now and those that remained took to scattering about to avoid ending up in the scrap heap like others of their ilk. Tsusho had given him the order to take down some of the smaller ones who were trying to take cover in one of the buildings, even giving the go ahead to destroy the entire structure if need be. It was a sentiment that Ouritsu completely agreed with but he knew just from looking at how wildly the puppets were moving around that he'd be hard pressed to get a clean hit on them and he was unsure if his jinton structure would be large enough to take down a whole building.

But there was no harm in trying! Well, wasting chakra definitely wasn't a plus if things didn't work out but now with both squads and the forces from Ishi it wouldn't be too much a detriment if the Nohime had to fall back for a bit. A set of seals would precede Ouritsu clasping his hands together before bringing them apart as a translucent cube began to form between his palms. He'd take aim at the front of the building where some of the scavengers had crawled into before loosing the cube in its direction. He'd pour considerably more chakra into the technique than usual to enlarge the construct to try and get as much of the building as possible, then with a thought the orb of jinton within would expand and atomize anything unfortunate enough to be caught in its wake.

Dropping to a knee, the chunin would take heavy breathes trying to regain his composure but there was no hiding how much energy he had put into that jutsu. He hoped it was enough to either catch the scavengers or bring the building down on top of them, but at the very least a considerable part of their hiding spot had been destroyed.

By increasing the containment chakra and limiting the Jinton chakra center the user of this jutsu can create a three dimensional shape (cube, cone, sphere, cylinder, etc) with a small Jinton chakra sphere within its center. Due to the lower than average Jinton chakra within the containment chakra this jutsu has the ability to disintegrate at the molecular level the affected area which will rend away at the most a pound of flesh, because of the nature of Jinton this is done very cleanly and quickly because the Jinton cauterizes the wound there is not an excessive amount of blood within the wound. This jutsu is weaker and slower than the original jutsu making it less effective but the lower chakra cost .

Souma shook herself through the internal horror of the social misstep of using a bothersome term for her superior officer and pushed herself towards the back lines of the advance squad. Snapping into position there, she brought her hands together into a handful of seals, two of her cables rising to slam into the ground in front of her, connecting the circuit between her chakra network and the minerals below her feet.

A simple steel dome erupted from the ground in front of her feet, large and more than sufficient to serve as cover to tend to the wounded behind- which was her next order of business. Her eyes flick to Ryoko appreciatively as she sticks by her side, nodding in thanks. "Can your falcons help spot any wounded in need of retrieval? I can go get them, but intel improves survival rates."

She didn't waste time there, moving to peer around the dome and search for any in need of her help on her own, working with Ryoko if her flying bombs could relay intel back to her!

InitiationImmortal Machine Reckon ya'll best focus on remainin in one place hun..I can help Ryoko with that..."" Looking toward Souma with a calm expression, Himari would point her thumb back toward herself as she could see that the others were already making their move to try and deal with the currently retreating puppets. While it certainly seemed like an odd tactic, considering their numbers, they weren't exactly doing anything outside of what could be considered abnormal. They had come upon reinforcement and were not likely trying to barricade themselves and try and regroup. Much like what was intended from their side as well. Granted, Himari didn't want to pull away from the fight, she heard Isamu's instructions and would go along with them as said. If they were to be focused on recovery and supporting the wounded, that was what they'd be doing. "Ain't much use at the moment without a steady weapon, but I can carry em to yall for help..." Watching as the birds summoned by Ryoko, she'd note the girl already preparing to take off and into the field, nodding in her direction before looking back at Souma. "Ya'll just focus on gettin em up and ready...." That said, Himari would begin to make her way out into the field, seeking out those that were still capable of being helped and attempting to retrieve them from the field and bringing them over to the medic. At the very least, those that could be saved would be in capable hands. Strong ones at least... Though how much time that was given for them to do this would be dependent on how well things went with the Assault squads efforts in routing the enemy and holding the line. Yet, in spite of this, she would always come up with a way to win in the end, despite being at the disadvantage. This has much to do with her reflexes, capable of moving around her targets attempts and finding the openings she needs to take them down. More often than not, this serves as her means of protection in it being difficult to hit a someone that you can't accurately engage against. Though it operates on her instincts, it can be unreliable in some situations. Especially if Himari has not been able to figure out the exact anatomy of her opponent. Heart of a Champion During her run within the OWA, Himari would train constantly to build up her strength and stamina. She would need both in order to complete the various techniques that were involved in her style of wrestling. As such, strength training was key in her mind as she came up with an arrangement in order to continue to build upon those foundations taught to her. While she is indeed smaller than most of the people she encounters, her size does no more than give her the appearance of being less powerful than she is. Her ability to sustain stronger grapples upon her opponents is increase through this advantage, as well as the impact of her physical attacks. Legacy of a Champion Okada Riku was known throughout the world for her speed and agility when she was in the ring. Such is reflected upon her continue run until her retirement. This trait has been passed down by to her daughter as Himari has displayed incredible speed. This has only increased over the years, alongside her training with both her mother and other shinobi. She can move swiftly across the field with little issue, using her agile footwork to get in close on a target before they can even realize it. Excelling at this, she focuses on being evasive with this ability as well, allowing for her to be just as proactive in getting in, as well not getting hit in the process. Keen Eye After leaving the life of a performer, Himari was given the opportunity to help development the next generation of wrestlers for the OWA. This required that she further study the methods and means in which to help others increase their potential safely without causing injury to themselves. In doing this, she learned about the human body, as well as points upon which one could take advantage of a target and weaken them. While this was a skill she had learned through her career, she further used this knowledge to be more accurate of calculating strategies when dealing with opposition, as well as certain situations that required a keen insight into the anatomy of an individual. Okada Tetsuo

Tetsuo leapt out of the puppet the moment the hatch was flung open, spotting the target that was identified almost as soon as it came into sight. Considering the situation he found himself in, and the possible collateral damage he might have if he utilised his arsenal of explosives, he formed a single handseal before pointing towards the Skavenger that he had been directed at. A lance of Raiton would surge out of his index and middle finger as Gian launched itself towards the puppet creature, aimed to hit it in the spine if possible, between the 'shoulder blades' at the base of the neck. It was easier than taking the head, and would hopefully do the same thing.

If that wasn't enough to stop the dang thing, then he'd hurl one of his stamps engraved with Ōkina Kakuchō at it, making a single handseal to expand the object to three meters in width as it got close to the puppet, hopefully crushing it.

Landing on his metal foot, the Okada would ready himself for whatever else might come, glancing around at his surroundings, making sure that things were mopped up appropriately before they could move on. With the arriving reinforcements things were going to get a bit harder to coordinate that was for sure, though likely easier to deal with their enemies, so long as they could work together effectively.

Casual Genius
While not flaunted, Tetsuo has a genius level intellect and can be counted amongst the ranks of prodigy shinobi currently alive. Tetsuo's memory is excellent and he can recall events and information with rich details. and his mind works at an incredible speed, able to do calculations even during the stress of combat. His memory is nearly flawless, and he is quickly able to determine weaknesses in his foes. He is not one to show off, nor point out his own intelligence, rather allowing others to see it or not of their own accord. He doesn't have time for such nonsense after all.

Okada Agility
While not enthusiastic about his clan's primary profession, Tetsuo has been trained in the physical styles of the Okada. For him in particular this has manifested in a brutally graceful agility that does not strain his muscles, which are now capable of handling his body weight and swiftness in battle. Due to this, he can move around with near-perfect movement precision, making so that no wasteful movement is used, and his body moves at full efficacy. This allows him to move without any momentum, giving him an advantage in combat.

This ability, which helps him to maneuver without being hampered by his own body, makes opponents of similar level have a terrible time landing a blow on him.

DESCRIPTION:

After completing the Snake handseal, the user will send Raiton chakra onto their hand or inside their mouth to then be released in the shape of a spear. The power of this spear is enough to peirce through stone, meaning that it's potential to inflict damage is high, and a direct hit could possibly kill. It's sheer speed is what makes it so powerful and the fact it's capable of multiplying as well. This technique moves like a straight beam, similar to a laser, which however could make it very predictable.

[Tantetsu Morihito]

Morihito would start chasing after this puppet. As the rest of the reinforcements would start to arrive. He would see everyone who was at that first meeting with the kage. This would give him a lot of relief because he was worried that we might lose someone. He would get broken out of his daydream with his leader telling him to take care of as many puppets it front of him. He was tired of all of this and would use one of his biggest moves he could. He would make hand signs and from the ground a giant ball that looked like steel filings hand he would start moving it from puppet to puppet. All that he could attack he would try to. He would run it over them all the filings would eventually ground the puppets into nothingness. Then the steel from the puppets would be incorporated into the mass he would try to move to next puppet if it was possible using this this. He would try to cover any retreats or back up that would be necessary.

Immortal Machine: Tunnel Strike

Tunnel Strike after Support Squad

Tetsuo and Morihito were the only ones quick enough to act in order to destroy any of the retreating scavengers. Though these Shippai were only of genin merit, they'd still by design be quick and without the ability to tire lose no speed in their retreat. Ouritsu would strain himself trying to get more than a pound of damage out of his unrealized Jinton potential, it'd hit a portion of the very large building causing it to collapse at that edge. However most of the building would remain relatively intact, even worst was that the Scavenger who'd enter would simply be exiting the other side.

Tetsuo's Gian was all that'd be needed to defeat his Scavenger, but the placement of that machine made him relatively distant from the others. Similarly Morihito's attack would be able to catch up to a Scavenger, but upon rolling it over it'd be relatively quite far from the others. There almost random trajectory wouldn't be random to the Support captain or Ryoko's surveillance birds. They were perfectly split to separate themselves as much as possible. Making it impossible for a single attack to hit them, as well as making every passing moment separating them farther, as well as pulling everyone farther from the mine.

The It That Kills was too damaged to make any hasty moves, it'd not seem alarmed at all about being surrounded either. Though it'd turn to the puppeteer giving it a chance to give up. Such a curious request. "...Give up?... It gives immortality, it gives the cure to fleshes weakness, Join us..." The It That Kills would speak as it'd extend a battered hand towards the puppeteer. Perhaps in its inability to fight it could instead convey a message. Turn the tide diplomatically? Granted it'd not be given such a chance, as despite the Iwagakure's hesitation, Ishigakure's shinobi wouldn't.

The man on his elephant would charge straight into the large puppets back. It'd injuried body easily toppled by the large mammal enhanced with seemingly doton. "What're you doing? These are monsters, we're here to eradicate not negotiate. The enemies home is beyond that entrance, so quit dilly-dallying so they can assemble a new wave!" The head of the Ishigakure shinobi would roar with anger, as he'd point to the barricaded mining entrance. If the Iwagakure shinobi didn't comply and open the metal door, then the shinobi on his elephant would charge straight through it.

Isamu would be able to sense some odd things, as he'd close in on the mining shaft, he'd find something incredibly odd. There were very few signatures all small ones within the immediate entrance and immediate depth of the mine shaft. However deeper down and further in there'd be an almost wall of sort, the closer he'd get the more it'd be apparent there was some sort of makeshift structure. It loosely had enough chakra running through it that sensory would just ping back the wall before proceeding further. If approaching closer to the tunnel entrance it's shape would be more clearly defined as some sort of pyramid. It's size was massive capable of holding an army or even a bijuu sized threat.

[Tantetsu Tsusho]

    Regardless of how true it was in that moment, Tsusho didn't feel like he was in danger in the least, in fact he felt in a very strong position against this already partially damage opponent. It responded, which surprised him only because he couldn't recall any of them speaking, at least not in any way he could understand, up to this point, so his curiosity was further piqued. Unfortunately one of the Ishi shinobi took it upon themselves to forcefully intervene, taking all of his willpower not to pull them off their big stupid mount and kick them about the face a few times.

    "I'd ask you the same, peanuts for brains. I had the situation handled and then some, and capturing something like that alive would have given us all sorts of useful information. We are here to help you, but interfere like that again and talk to me like that again and we'll have an issue."

    The normally even-tempered Tsusho didn't raise his voice, just spoke loud enough to be heard, but his annoyance was clear all the same, and the glare he gave left no room for any misunderstanding. When he had said his peace he turned back towards his team, trying to assess how things had gone from the previous instructions, seeing some minimal success, but seeing more than a few instances where his team simply wasn't quick enough or in a proper position to catch all of the fleeing enemies. Turning back to the Ishi leader, Tsusho spoke a bit louder, making sure he was heard.

"Next time take out the fleeing enemies, not the one trying to surrender that can't fight back and is surrounded by a half dozen puppets."

    With that, he didn't wait for a response, as he yanked at his chakra strings, leaving the one large puppet near Tetsuo just in case, but moving over towards Morihito with his makeshift army in tow.

"Morihito, we need to head for the mining entrance. The team has spread out further than I anticipated, so let's make sure everyone is safe and regroup on that entrance. Keep an eye on everyone until we regroup, please. I have a lot of multitasking to do now."

    Sasayaki was getting restless and short on patience, and with the enemies left to fight dwindling in numbers, she couldn't be bothered anymore. Without more than an annoyed his, she simply disappeared into a heavy puff of smoke. Yelling out, Tsusho repeated a similar message to his team, as his voice carried across the field.

"Advancing Squad, we are heading for the mining entrance. If you haven't already stopped the fleeing enemy then leave them and group up. Support Squad, those of you who can fight, please join us up front. It's time to finish this."

[aihara ryoko]

Glances up to her soaring falcons, already well on their way with a task in hand.

"Uhh.. not really, no. Those aren’t real birds.” she mutters as she looks back to Souma and gives a little dismissive wave at the idea. "Once they’re off they’re kinda off. They’ll probably spot any, but I won’t know till they’re done doing their thing. Which is following those things home, and then exploding.”

She offers a little nod as she gives a look around the battlefield. It did seem like they had things worse here. Or at least more spread out. She makes a note of the bit of drama seeming to be building up by all the puppets, and decides to avoid that for now. Survivors there would be fiiiine.

"Yeah, so I could always make more birds, but I am pretty drained. I try to get another flock of birds goin’ I’m probably just gonna pass out. I can still jog though! I can still go look for survivors.”

She makes the suggestion weakly, not very enthused but still willing. She gives a look over to the Tsusho, but she was simply too drained of chakra to step join them.

[Nōhime Ouritsu]

A bit of dumb luck would have been nice but as the Nohime half expected the building was too large and the scavengers too erratic in their movements for his attack to do anything meaningful other than waste chakra. From his kneeled position Ouritsu could only work on regulating his breathing as the joint squads finally moved together and a familiar yet still ominous blast of smoke announced the departure of the giant spider. With their hardly being any enemies left it was probably for the best less it refocus its ire to the good guys, but man it would have probably been great to keep around for whatever was coming next.

Hearing Tsusho give the order to move towards the mine shaft the chunin would rise to his feet and make his way back to the bulk of the group. He was careful to watch out for any further traps or surprise attacks as they made their way down the mineshaft that seemed to extend on forever. Ouritsu knew next to nothing about mining but it was crazy to think people were able to carve out this much earth in the hope of getting resources. Honestly, a few minutes for the young man to take a breath was more than he could have asked for and between the two squads they'd hopefully have enough firepower to deal with whatever was still waiting for them down here.

Successfully taking out his target, Tetsuo was quick to return to the gathering shinobi, not wanting to be caught out of position and isolated as he had been before. He wasn't sure what to expect, and with how useful he had felt thus far in this operation, he wasn't quite sure he would be able to do anything either. It had been a frustrating experience, but he would learn from it and hopefully not make the same mistakes twice.

With his ENES active to keep track of the various things that might be of interest to them, the Okada made his way towards the rest of the team, if his expertise in explosives wasn't going to be useful any time soon then he'd at least rather be able to provide information to the rest of his team, because then he'd feel a little more like he was fairly contributing. 

That said, he was careful to make sure that his equipment was at the ready, able to be used at a moment's notice, because if the previous fight was any indication, he'd be lucky to get even a moment to react to their attacks.

Approaching the entrance where the team leader was, Tetsuo would await further orders.

As he rejoined the members of his squad, Isamu ignored both the Ishigakure Shinobi who’d so rudely doubted their teams, and Tsusho. Tsusho had his squad to command, and Isamu his. Looking his team up and down, he noticed Ryoko’s seeming exhaustion, and Souma’s hesitance. ”Ryoko, Souma, I want you two to work on setting up a camp and retrieving the wounded. Make sure they’re protected, and if you can, dress the most serious wounds. Don’t waste unnecessary chakra on anything small, Souma. Only the life-threatening injuries need your chakra, especially as the sole medic of our group. You’ll serve as both a triage team and a rearguard. I trust you to protect the injured should any enemies break through the front lines. Please do not attempt to go in after us before Ryoko’s chakra has recovered some, and the injured are all stabilized. Himari, you and I will join the advance squad. My sensory skills will be needed, and working in pairs is ideal with Souma and Ryoko staying behind.”

With that, his orders had been given. He didn’t wait for Himari to join him before he’d approached the mineshaft, brow furrowing as he took in the multitude of chakra signatures within. ”Don’t rush in recklessly,” he warned, his demeanour becoming colder as he realized his work was still far from over. ”There are several small signatures in the entrance, and something that feels like a wall blocking my sensory abilities. It could well be a trap,” he concluded, face grim. His abilities were not necessarily the best kind to work against these enemies, but walking in blindly wasn’t something the advance squad was going to be able to afford. He would be their eyes in these mines, and act as the support he’d been assigned as. Even if his ego smarted a bit at the fact that he wasn’t the main force to be reckoned with.

There were sure to be plenty of wounded, and while most would need little more than wound dressing and a safe place to rest, she moved quickly to ensure she didn't miss anybody that needed more serious or more urgent treatment.

She also kept a close eye on Ryoko, trying to engage her in their duties to keep her from getting bored.

"Have you ever set a complex break before? If not, I can show you how."

... that didn't mean she was very GOOD at that...

Immortal Machine: Tunnel Strike

Tunnel Strike after Support Squad

"This is just fodder attempting to waste our time, when has a puppet ever ratted out it's master?" To the Ishigakure Jounin they saw this situation as one thing, Puppetry. In other words there was some one or some way these puppets were in control. They needed to find who was pulling the strings and get rid of them, it'd seemed like the mine released forces endlessly. At least that was the way the Ishigakure shinobi had seen it upon arrival. Everything was so much different now.

The Ishigakure forces wanted to strike while the iron was hot. However they'd hold position with Tsusho commanding their team to gather at the entrance, despite their desire to rush they didn't want to do so to their death. It didn't seem like Iwagakure's forces were being completely defiant or unreasonable in their eyes, so it was best they worked together. In that pause a few of the lower ranked Ishigakure shinobi would talk a moment. Decided to assist those that'd assisted them, they'd offer up six military ration pills to the Iwagakure forces to distribute.

There was no injured or chakra signatues, other than the immortal machines. So setting up camp outside here might be early, there'd be about 400M of tunnel until the underground structure. The structures vastness meant the group might have a lot of ground to cover inside.

Upon entering the cave there'd be no immediate welcoming party, it'd seem some of the straggling signatures would pair up and head towards the underground pyramid. Those that didn't would do their best to shimmy into cracks or behind support beams. Assembling just a little before the halfway point of the tunnel. Setting up an ambush granted they'd still be none the wiser that one of them could sense their signatures.

[Tantetsu Tsusho]

    Jumping back down from his puppet as he arranged his own, even pulling back the one straggler as Tetsuo had rejoined the group, he looked around for a moment to assess the forces they had. He wasn't ignorant to the fact that this was many groups trying to work together, but if they could work together then this would go smoothly. He wasn't so confident however that he was the one to lead everyone, but he felt he'd be the most willing to take the lead in the physical sense so he'd try and lead by example at the very least.

    Before he thought to address those that had gathered, they were given some military rations, which frankly he couldn't have appreciated more in that moment. He had regained some of his strength, but he wasn't exactly running at full strength, so he'd only take the one.

"Please give the other five to Isamu. They can distribute them better than I can right now."

    Pointing his thumb towards the Support Squad's leader, he nodded to them, before turning towards them.

"It might not hurt to set up and preemptive station for the injured, but this part of the battlefield has no injured or civilians, or even other Ishigakure forces to take care of that we've seen, prior to the ones that you showed up with that is. None of our squad took any injuries."

    Motioning around at specific areas, he was trying to make sure to point out the battlefield so far now that they were gathered and mostly calm.

"There are some buildings in that direction, but no one in them that we are aware of. The monsters attempted to ambush us when we got here, from those buildings. Then there is the obvious hole where they came from, in front of us of course. We could use as much of your Support Squad with us as possible. Leaving anyone could leave them open to attacks we can't protect them from if those metal beasts return and decide to attack just the couple of them here, as some of them scattered when you were arriving."

    Part of him was simply speaking from what he thought was the best for the group, but in truth a large part of him just didn't feel comfortable leaving Souma here with just one person while they left them to go into a cave they would likely not be leaving for quite a while. It was bad enough that he was still annoyed he hadn't argued for them to join his team so he could watch over all the other Tantetsu on this mission, but he wouldn't make that mistake twice. Looks back towards Souma, he motioned towards her with his head.

"Plus, I'd feel better if I could keep an eye on my cousin."

    Taking a deep breath, he waited for a response and waited for whoever needed to be ready to get ready, before moving any further. One he was certain people were where they were going to be, he lined up a couple of his puppets in front of him, then quickly began to create five handseals, as he bit down on his thumb, and placed his palm on the back of one of his metal puppets in front of him.

    A puff of smoke partially covered the puppet for a moment, but as it cleared there was a spider a bit smaller than the puppet itself now on its metallic back.

"Kioshi, we won't be out in the light for long. We are about to head into that entrance in front of us, and I need your help with lighting the way and being a look out. Don't worry, the others won't bother you, and you'll be nearest to me. I don't need you to be on the front line when any fighting starts, so don't worry."

    It was clear the spider he had summoned wasn't particular thrilled about being summoned at all, and only looked moderately pacified by the explanation, as it turned away with what sounded like an annoyed grumble, riding on the back of the puppet. Once they got into the actual tunnel, the spider began to glow, lighting at least in front of the group.

Kioshi:

It is unknown just how Kioshi has become able to naturally produce electricity in his body, but he utilizes it the best way he knows how. By making it so people can’t touch him. As long as he has this ability active, it does drain on his chakra at a continuous medium rate. Luckily, he can turn it on and off at will.

"If anything attacks us in there, please please please don't start blasting unless we are in a more open area. We don't want a cave in or friendly fire. From here on, I'll be focusing on combat and managing my puppets, so Isamu will be leading the singular squad, but I'll be in the front physically leading the way. 

You okay with that?"

    He asked, turning towards Isamu as they were walking, after his comments.
