Reckon thats where I come in...."

Himari would rub the back of her neck as she held a small grin on her face. In truth, it was certainly the least she could do at this point, and honestly, she wasn't much for handling the more heavy ranks, despite her best efforts. At the bare miniumn, she was holding her own against these puppets, but the previous bouts had shown that even she had limits to her strength. If she could watch the puppeteer's back to ensure that the others had a far better chance, then she'd have done her job. Of course, that was a big if.

"Best Souma stick to the rest like glue as the girl can throw a mean one...I'll make sure they don't touch em or die tryin at least...ain't much use on the lines no how so havin em come to me makes it easier to counter..."

Saying this, Himari would glance towards her cousins briefly before then shifting her attention to Isamu with a serious expression.

"Less ya got some objection?"

The real truth of the situation was that it had already been a hard pressed fight. Granted, taking an even bigger risk going into the den was asking to wake the bees, but it was the only way to secure the area and their allies. If it was their one chance, they all had to do their part and that meant having their best where they needed to be. Frankly, Himari wasn't up to that...much as she hated to admit it.

"Though if we splittin the work...best to do it fast...doubt them string hangers gonna wait much longer..."

Ryoko comes to a stop near the group, pausing to listen as plans are discussed. Planning was good. Needing to do so in a quick manner seemed unneeded to the brash Aihara, but she kept her mouth closed for a moment.

Below the cowl of her wide grinning hood her eyes travel from person to person, assessing them briefly, though eventually returning to Isamu. Once he was done, she’d finally pipe up with her own thoughts.

"I mean.. Ain’t none of this really my normal way of doing things. We’re being all loud and direct and.. Eh. I mean, do we really need to be? We rescued our allies, why don’t we just split up and head back to the surface? Check on the places these other passages lead to?

See.. if I was me.. which I am by the way.. I’d be of a mind to come back here with like 2 really quiet people, and a ton of explosives. We’re fighting an army here, not a squad of other shinobi. Using army tactics is only giving them a more even ground to fight on.

Far as I’m concerned, the puppets in the dark can wait. I don’t think they can sense or use chakra, so destroying them should be pretty simple, in theory, when we’re not running around in a huge group making noise.

You know, turn into a rat, sneak along the ceiling, sneaky ninja stuff.

That said, if we’re really dead set on fighting em, I’m gonna go with whoever is doing that. I got some energy to burn off, so I’m gonna go all stone bear on some puppets, and see how that goes. I don’t get a lot of taijutsu practice these days, it should be fun.

With her peace said, Ryoko crosses her arms and wait. Whatever was to be, she was here for it. Her smirk said so at least, seeming to be as confident as it was condescending. The doomstar, imposing shuriken that it was, had already proven less than useful in her efforts to slay robots. For now it lingers behind her anyway, ever at her side.

Ouritsu was still having a tough time believing a structure this sized was just sitting down here all this time and that no one knew about it. If it had been just some rocks piled up or even a dilapidated building that would be one thing, but the work that had been put into building this pyramid was on a much grander scale than what should have been able to be hidden away. Of course that reinforced the notion that whatever was housed inside the thing was meant to be protected and as Tsusho commented walking into the place was probably a trap.

Maybe it would have been a good idea for someone to report back to the village and muster reinforcements if the plan was to attack whatever was inside. There were heavy hitters among their group, sure, but the puppets also posed quite a bit of issue for a good number of their team and had they not had the abilities of giant spiders, puppets, and a sage there was a good chance that shit would be going sideways right now. Still, the enemy knew of their presence now and whatever timeline it had for whatever nefarious plans it was brewing was surely pushed up so as much as the Nohime wanted to have more of his fellow villagers on hand that probably wasn't an option now.

Having heard the call to veer away from wide ranging jutsu given their close proximity to one another left Ouritsu with less than a handful of options. With the puppets seemingly being impervious to genjutsu added to their shifty nature which made them difficult to target with jinton there was only so much the chunin had left to offer; granted, those options had worked in the last fight but he had a feeling the enemies they would face going forward would require more than a first encased in stone or a few rows of pointy spikes to take them down. Regardless it would have to suffice and he was ready to help out in whichever way the group needed him most, whether that was guarding Tsusho or watching their flank.

Immortal Machine: Tunnel Strike
Tunnel Strike after Support Squad
Proceeding down the main entrance to the pyramid after two short flights of stairs, the team will have two smaller halls at either side. Down them are merely a scavenger noticeable, but unmoving waiting near two doors at either side of them. Further down the main path though, after three flights more of stairs. The team would enter a truly massive room, it's center stood a team of puppets waiting. They'd not be initially aggressive, but at the very center of the room were two distinctly different puppets.

The first and arguably less noticeable of the two entries was a human sized machine, it was the most well designed looking model. At least it's craftsmanship seemed above the rest, it's metals looked like a nicer quality and it carried a large ornate staff. Unlike the others in the room this seemed to be the only Shippai not on guard. It'd instead seemingly make a welcoming hand gesture. If the team had entered straight to this main room it'd even greet them. "Welcome my esteemed guests, I hope disease and hormones haven't destroyed your ability to reason. Before you try anything might I ask we share a word? I have words worth hearing." The mechanical man would assure. It's form and attire looking like some sort of ancient leader.

The far more noticeable oddity of the new puppet pair was the one behind this 'leader'. A puppet which scaled up quite well to that of a Bijuu. Specifically it was most closely sized to that of the Sanbi, it similarly didn't seem to be on edge. However it equally might have simply been offline, it didn't move, but it was clear a single step from it would likely shake the whole room.

Surrounding the leader was a mixed guard of scavenger puppets, It That kills and It That Destroys. The acid shooting larger puppets standing closer to the entrance than the leader, while the it that kills stood right next to this strange new puppet. There was four scavenger puppets near the farthest it that destroys, but they seemed to almost be hiding around their ally. More as support for them than anything else.

This large room had four sections, the lowest which they stood in was relatively empty, it seemed to exist largely to store the massive puppet in the center back of the room. However there were three sets of stairs, one to the left and right which lead up to plateaus in which odd ritual like zones stood. In the back near the wall were tall round metal cages with people in them, they appeared to be alive, but in varying conditions of maltreatment. The third set of stairs behind the incredibly massive puppet seemed to have the largest weird ritual zone, odd marker stones leading from a circle to the feet of the very large puppet.

At the back corner of this massive room were two other rooms, unable to see what was inside, but the doors would be visible to know they weren't just solid stone and metal.

Key:
  • Black Rectangle with line down center = stairs
  • Purple Star = Ritual area surrounded by foreign markings
  • Black Circle = Cage
  • Red Circle = Legion; Bijuu sized puppet
  • Large Red Dot = It That Destroys or It That Kills
  • Small Red Dot = Scavenger, Scout Snake or Our Savior
  • Blue Dot = prisoner, unconscious if outside a cage

Immortal Machines:
Name: Skavenger x32
Clan: Shippai
Rank: Genin
Reference Image:

SA's:
  • Shippai - Scavengers are the base level Shippai of the immortal legion, they're created from metal and thus are fairly resistant. Though their human sized stature and form means, as Shippai go they're a bit more focused on speed than strength.
  • Flayer's Blades - Scavengers are built with human like hands, thus they're primary focus is taijutsu, but these hands are also given incredibly sharp blades for finger tips. These blades are best for flaying or shredding thin layers from a target. They're not exactly piercing, but like the rest of the puppet these are metal and thus fairly resistant to breaking.

Name: Scout Snakes x9
Clan: Shippai
Rank: Chuunin
Specialization: Tai Sole
Reference Image:

SA's:
  • [Shippai] - Scout Snakes are created from a merge of human and snake in their creation, this allows them to move either with insect like leg appendages or snake like body wiggle. These puppets are metal and designed with maneuverability over true speed or strength
  • [Scouting Shippai] - These puppets are built with old radio technology and are able to convey information via a form of binary morse code to their leader
  • [Doton Diggy Snake] - These puppets are excellent tunnellers and act in part as the builders of the immortal army.

Name: It That Kills x8
Clan: Shippai
Rank: Chuunin
Specialization: Buki Sole
Reference Image:

SA's:
  • [Shippai] - These are a large variation of Shippai designed largely with strength in mind and acting as the soldier ants of the immortal legion.
  • [Enhanced Durability] - Though all of the immortal legion are metal and thus relative durable, these Shippai were created especially to hold their own incredibly well. Their joints better designed and their overall armor simply thicker.
  • [[Overdrive] - These Shippai are built with an almost engine that allows them to overheat and temporarily enhance their speed, but compromise their endurance. Overdrive can only last three posts, each post increasing it's damage to water and cooling factors.

Name: It That Destroys x4
Clan: Shippai
Rank: Special Jounin
Specialization: Tai Sole
Reference Image:

SA's:
  • [Shippai] - Similarly to it that kills this shippai was largely designed with strength in mind.
  • [Durable] - Similarly to it that kills it's body has been designed to be extra resiliant
  • [Two Heads] - Similarly to the scout snake, this Shippai was created through two sacrifices. Both human this puppet had an extra set of arms and eyes, this allows it to react and attack as though it's two individuals in one spot
  • [Acid Canisters] - This puppets hands are like clenched large metal fists with release nozzles at the end of each. A pressurized tank built into it, allows this puppet to release a spray of acid. This acid is highly capable of corroding through most materials, but does so slowly. Stripping down a material roughly half an inch a post unremoved. This puppet has eight shots of said acid and can fire each spray up to 25M.

Name: Legion
Clan: Shippai
Rank: Elite Jounin
Specialization: Tai Prim / Buki Second
Reference Image:

SA's:
  • [Shippai] - This Shippai was created with strength in mind and done so with the sacrifice of many to power it's sheer size.
  • [Massive] - This Shippai stands the size of a boss summon and that's really all it needs to impose a serious threat as a Shippai.[li][Highly Durable] - Due to it's size and metal nature, this Shippai is incredibly durable even to that of high rank jutsu.
  • [Raiton Resistance] - Due to this Shippai's nature and metal design it's resistance to the lightning element is quite high.
  • [Relentless Violence] - Despite it's size hindering it's overall speed in travel, it's designed made from many losses means it's an incredibly violent puppet and when in place can rapidly attack with two of it's six legs.
  • [Heavy Flamer] - This puppet has two turret like protrusions on either side of it, these thick barrels are connected to a rather intricate inner body system of flammable gases. Two dozen independent gas tanks, they allow this Shippai to fire a 50M stream of concentrated fire from either turret.

Name: Our Savior
Clan: Shippai
Rank: Jounin
Specialization: Buki Sole
Reference Image:

SA's:
  • [Shippai] - This Shippai is of a relatively unique build it was incredibly well designed, it's speed and strength are relatively equal.
  • [Legionnaire] - This Shippai despite no longer being a human shinobi, has created a special seal and puppet design as to allow it to continue creating Shippai even after death. This puppet meanders more towards human puppet than most Shippai.
  • [Our Savior] - This Shippai is able to receive and send out a strange binary radio frequency. These signals are receivable by all the Shippai below it and it's placed at the top of it's legions hierarchy.
  • [As Though Human] - This Shippai has no one commanding it and is running off a rather complex code of conduct, due to this it is unaware of it's mental weaknesses and believes itself no different than any other shinobi. In fact it's certain it's better.
  • [Durability] - Finding an incredibly rare vein of abnormal Ranmantaru steel, this puppets metal is greater than that of any of it's counter parts.

OOC Notes: Due to us losing Rebel's participation I am honestly using this moment as a time to pull their character from the thread. I feel I will be a little overwhelmed RPing both opposition and the Ishigakure shinobi, so with most of you back to posting, I'd like to have you all proceed in. That stated if you're worried about the opposition ahead and need me to, then you can close the side tunnels and I'll put on my best Ishi glasses going forward.

Event Rank: A-rank expect it to be difficult and death to be a serious risk

Posting Time: I'll be posting once a week on my weekend attempting to get it out monday night on EST time.

Final Note: Everyone please have fun, if you're having any concerns or feel underwhelmed, then please let me know. I'll do my best to make this a fun and difficult experience without being unfair.

There was quite a bit of environment and potential enemies to look at, making it almost overwhelming even before Tsusho had attempted to lead the group down the stairs and into the large open area. It didn't take much to realize the precarious position they were in, but he didn't immediately make room for anyone but himself to enter the room, and even then only partially. He made a quick motion with his hand for everyone behind him to stop and hold, as he jumped up on the puppet that had had following behind him, trying to get a full look at his surroundings. The first large puppet was standing at the front of the pack, the second large puppet now behind it and him standing on it, and the two small puppets were flanking him on either side.

Turning to see who was standing closest to him, he said nothing, but motioned for them to look around to see now what he was seeing and move just a bit closer, then slowly motioning for others to come closer but stay behind him. Looking back to the humanoid puppet that spoke, he couldn't help but get a full look at the larger puppet, perhaps not as shocked as others would be, given how often he was around the large creatures he trained with, but he still wasn't fond of the idea of fighting it.

"I'll listen, for now, but I will say first, not really liking what I'm seeing in here. Unless you are about to tell me you are releasing all these humans I see in cages to start with, I don't see this situation ending peacefully. So, say what you need to say."

The decision had been made to enter the pyramid to no one's surprise as honestly Ouritsu would have been a little upset if he hadn't of been able to see what was hiding in there, though as the group descended down the stairs it was impossible to miss the multiple side rooms hiding the smaller puppets which he felt like would have to be dealt with eventually, but they weren't attacking for the time being so neither would he. Getting the signal to stop just before entering the main room the chunin titled his head at whatever angle gave him the best view of what was up ahead and... it was not good.

More puppets, a lot of puppets, with an absolutely gigantic one sitting at the center of the room. "Holy... Well now we know what they built this pyramid for." He mused aloud before hearing another voice come from the room that didn't belong to anyone in their group. There was another puppet, human sized, but definitely not human and holding some funky looking stick that was asking them to hear it out. That thing definitely had some nerve though considering the size of its protection standing behind it there was probably some hubris to be had.

Tsusho would once more take the lead as he made mention of the people being locked in cages which made things even weirder, why would puppets need people prisoners? To make more of them? There didn't seem to be any assembly lines as far as the Nohime could see so what was the purpose? He had no idea where this little parlay was going to end up but chances were that big puppet wasn't going to be sitting still by the end of it.

Ryoko follows along with the others who went deeper, even if it seemed a foolish choice. While it wasn’t her way to conduct such a loud and direct attack, it was even further from her nature to back down. Not when there was some sort of fun to be had.

The Doomstar remains above her, suspended on a chakra thread near the ceiling as she maneuvers her small frame through the crowded hallway. Being smaller than most did have some advantages, and she squeezes out of the hall and into the chamber in spite of a giant puppet trying to block the way.

She gives Tsusho a very ‘what the hell?’ look, though it is mostly hidden below her cowl.  As she does she carefully guides her weapon into the open as well, and then diverts her attention to the huge chamber itself.

"What the hell?!” She asks, loudly, waving a hand as she does and gesturing at the vast hiddenabode. "The hell is all of this? How people gonna build all this and no one notices?” she says, surprised at first but tapering off into silent grumbling rather quickly.

Of course, the grump was more of an act, ten strings cast wide throughout the room as she waved her hand about. She harumphs and settles down, crouching a little closer to the ground. Her hands, under her cloak, remain obscured as she wiggles her fingers about and guides her strings around.

She lets the adults talk. Talking was good. Several strings reach out for the central robot, not so much attaching to it so much as touching it with an unfelt force. She glides quickly over it’s exterior before searching around it. Curious about the large ritual areas, many of her strings go there as well.

Not really knowing how shippai work she has to assume they’re being controlled from somewhere. Perhaps this was where they were being controlled from. Hell, maybe metal man in the middle was the one doing the controlling. That’d be pretty impressive, really, though Ryoko was still more curious than impressed.

She pokes about with her now myriad distant fingertips, testing for moveable things or oddities that might strike her curiosity.

Jutsu used: NAME: Onisageru Mojiretsu [Delving String]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu [Puppetry]
ELEMENT: -
HANDSEALS: 0
DESCRIPTION:
A simple, but very useful technique; by extending puppetry strings and concentrating on the sensation felt in their fingertips a user can probe to try and manipulate or detect what they can't see. Shinobi commonly use this technique to unlock doors, sliding a string under the door to unlock it from the other side. However, this technique can also be used to try and detect opponents in pitch black or other vision-obscuring scenarios like the Hidden Mist Technique.[/soiler]

Well shit...."

Himari head would move as if on a swivel as she took in the area upon entering after the others. While she made sure to keep up with Tsusho, their engagement with the giant puppet in front of them would remain unhindered by her as she continued to take in what she was seeing. Her eyes continued to scan the area, the sight of the giants and Shippai forces giving reason as to why they were here. More than anything else, she'd note what looked like cages along the walls that appeared to hold people within them.

Not too far from them, there were strange markings across the walls and floors, almost as if they were seals. Was it possible that they were being used for something? It was difficult to say for sure, but did Shippai perform such acts?

In the end, it seemed like the conversation between the puppet master and the monstrous creature before them would allow for at least some time to gauge just what would come next. It was likely that a fight would come. No way that they could just leave this alone and unresolved. Of course, she was ready for it...or as much as she could be. Granted, strong as she was, she didn't know how she'd be managing to take down giants.

Hellva way to go girl...still...I can think of worse...

Thinking this, she'd remind herself that if she was going to die here today...it wouldn't be without putting up one hell of a fight. Though perhaps there was a way out of this in the end. There had to be. A weak point...a structural failing. These creatures couldn't have thought of everything?

The point would be the pyramid itself, having to likely collapse it...Though for now...words seemed to be the only distraction they had as everyone likely was waiting for the cry of battle to begin once more..

The blue-haired medic nodded to Ouritsu as he commented on the point of the structure, and to Ryoko? Souma turns to look at without much expression.

"I would imagine nobody noticed... on account of it being entirely underground."

Then she turns back towards the talking... puppet. Her mind is racing. There's a good chance not everyone would die if this came to blows... but a very poor chance that NOBODY would.

She supposed she was going to have to hope that- somehow, impossibly- it didn't come to that.

Or she was going to have to start prioritizing.

As any gracious host, he'd give his guests a moment to acclimate. Allow their eyes and minds to absorb the area, as despite their impressive display he wasn't too worried of such a small crew. His attention seeming to shift from member to another as they traded words and asked open ended questions. Returning to gaze upon the one they seemed to treat as a leader, perhaps the only one who had any sense or reason. At least that was the way Our Savior felt.

"My plans were always to release 'these humans', it's been but my sole purpose for decades now." He'd state firstly in his disturbing mechanical tone. There was no sense of deceit in those words, alas a certain genuineness to it. Though obviously freeing a person from a cage certainly didn't take decades. "You don't like what you see and it's natural to question it, but your eyes deceive you as many others before you."

Our Savior would seemingly gesture towards those people in cages, the more one looked the more obvious they appeared weak. Whether it was sickness, starvation or serious injury; none appeared vibrant or ready to rage from their cage. Defeat was embedded seemingly in most if not all of them. The seeming disdain and displeasure in the situation would cause those metal soldiers watching to step up and closer. Stiffen in firm resistance to the pyramids invaders.

"You say violence as though it was not equally met, but I say a speech is worthless on the deaf. Sometimes persuasion requires a more physical touch. When a dog steps in fox trap, it often tries to bite it's savior, so a person must restrain it during it's release." It was an odd almost chilling explanation. "I much prefer persuasion by words, it's easier to save the willing, but aren't the unwilling as worthy of saving?" He'd explain as the strange runes and signs carved into the stone around the ritual and whole pyramid began to glow.

"We're all human in here, it's just your kinds nature to see mortality as a normality. You see steel bars and believe it's a cage, but the real cage is your body." Unconscious or unable to move bodies in the ritual areas would suddenly burst into a green flame. To weak to even scream beyond a tired whisper of despair. The green flame would lose it's color, as the runes lit up would lead to a life less machine. Their eyes lighting up as another of each model seemed to be added, their newly risen forms going over to the burning corpses.

The pyramid seemingly would come alive and with the sound of loud turning gears, the stone in front of them would seemingly open up. A large hole albeit smaller than the massive puppet would open, the still burning body of those in the ritual being tossed by the new puppets into that whole. Their light briefly showing what at first looked like a bottomless pit before landing on a massive pile of skeletons and ash. "Act like you care, but I've been freeing your kind for decades. If you'd given me just one more century, then I'd have the grasp to free all humans from their trap. Be reasonable, let me save you, let me save the world..."

Immortal Machines:
Name: Skavenger x33

Name: Scout Snakes x10

Name: It That Kills x9

As his attempt to keep everyone from piling into the room immediately failed, as everyone started piling into the room, he took a deep breath, trying his best to keep his composure. This was an incredibly serious and dangerous situation, yet so many were acting as if it were some type of sight seeing trip and wanting to get in their own comments. He simply hoped it wouldn't come off threatening or their words any type of trigger for misunderstandings with the leader of this puppeteer group. Perhaps he was being a bit hard on them, but he didn't express it in more than a few glances, and his bandages otherwise hid his facial expressions.

"Then why not simply stand down all of your warriors, open these cages, and let all of your captors walk away now? Some of those with us can escort them out, and we can have a less tense discussion. There's no way you don't see how this looks to us, especially given the attacks above."

He wasn't so naive to think that would simply work and they'd suddenly be taking all of these people out without even raising a fist, but he'd kick his own ass if he didn't at least try. As soon as some of these other creatures started to move forward he looked back and made a motion towards the other shinobi as if asking him not to move forward as well, shaking his head at them, almost pleading with his eyes. When the leader spoke again, he turned back, his eyes narrowing.

"It was equally met, and of course it would be. We came to a scene of you wreaking havoc and defended ourselves and the others you were targeting. A lack of human emotion and sentimentality surely hasn't stripped you of common sense and intelligence."

Try as he might, trying to keep his own frustration and fear hidden, it was mentally getting to him. His earlier thoughts lashed out as his comrades, but only because he was protective of them, wanting to make sure he was the one that would be attacked if things went wrong and not them. Now this staff wielding crazy was slowly showing his hand, and for all his patience, he knew his words were falling on deaf ears. The last thing he wanted was this to devolve into a fight, but at this rate it was more likely to devolve into a shit show.

He would have loved to stand here and debate all of this with the "man", and to a degree he even greed with a part of what was being said in regards to this human body cage, but not the time, not the place, and perhaps not the right person to have the conversation with. At the sudden movement, his eyes darted from one, then the next, and finally back to the leader, eyes narrowing on him once again, as he lowered his stance defensively. His hands were tightening, and with it the strings of his puppets tugging, causing their arms to pull off the ground, seeing the scene in front of him. He was the one wanting desperately for no one else to act recklessly, but now he was about to be the one acting, done with listening this monologue, and done with this entire scene.

"There's a part of me that understands your love for metal, understands your fondness of your current form. If you'd allow me to show you, I'll prove it, just give me a moment to show you."

The pack stuck to his back made a whirring noise from inside, as he held up a hand towards the leader to show he wasn't acting aggressively, as he pulled at a puppet string he attached to the pack, as a compartment opened, and a scroll unraveled. Grabbing what had fallen free, he pulled it around as he jumped down from his puppet, still holding up one hand, very slowly moving it to touch the center with his palm, as a humanoid shaped puppet burst forth.

"This is a puppet of mine, I call them Gusten."

Tugging at his chakra string, the scroll rolled back up as the backpack clanged shut. For a moment, all of Tsusho's puppet strings receded, and his puppet fell inactive, as he kept looking at the leader, stepping forward and attached all of his strings to the puppet in front of him, as the back of it opened, allowing Tsusho to step inside, sealing him inside. His voice echoed out with a metallic sound, as he turned back around, showing his back to the leader for just a second, and then turned back, his arms spread wide.

"I understand."

Chakra strings shot out from the back of the metal puppet suit, as the four puppets moved back to life, as Tsusho had walked around in front of his own puppets, standing much closer to the leader, but keeping his arms extended, trying to display himself as no threat. As he moved a step closer, he extended his hand as if offering it to shake. When he felt he could get any closer, suddenly a chain shot out of the right extended arm of the puppet and wasn't targeting the leader, but the control staff he was holding. His left arm raised and from it what looking like a steel cable unwound from the puppets arm, much like the chain trying to latch on not to the leader, but his staff. If either or both grabbed the staff, he would use his strength and that of the puppet to pull back as hard as he could, trying to either break the staff or preferably outright take it from him.

Ouritsu nodded slowly at the answer to his question though it didn't really explain how someone could have hid all the resources it took to build something this large in addition to massive amount of earth someone would have had to dig and put somewhere. Perhaps it would just be one of life's mysteries and it didn't look like the weird guy standing on the other side of the room would give him any answers as it and Tsusho continued to wax poetic back and forth. The Nohime hated politics, and while this may have not had anything to do with it, he was bored as if it were.

In a display surely meant to show what was going on down here the caged people were engulfed in flames before their bodies dumped into a large pit, seemingly replaced by more puppets. Were they... Had they... been turned into puppets? Had the group been fighting people this entire time? It certainly explained the large number of enemies as people were very easy to come by and keeping them captive in an underground facility seemed the best place to conduct such heinous experiments.

Having seen more than enough their leader would summon yet another puppet before climbing into it and launching an attack aimed at the leader of the puppet-people, giving a charge to the team to finally kick some ass. This was what Ouritsu had been waiting for, though truth be told the numbers were not in their favor in addition to the massive puppet that they'd no doubt have to contend with sooner or later. For now the chunin would take up position on the left side of the room closest to the entrance, eyes scanning for whatever came into his path first and ready to take it down.

aihara ryoko Avatar

"Ha, humans!” She mutters to herself with a sort of devilish amusement that seemed terribly out of place for someone so very outnumbered, below ground, and somewhat trapped. It wasn’t exactly confidence, but even if Ryoko did have to fall, she always knew she’d go down breaking something.  She loved breaking things!

Today’s target presented itself as the centerpiece of the enemy army, and the size of a bijuu. The hulking mass was a horrifying beast, with plenty of legs and few obvious weak spots. It had a head.. But heads on puppets were more for display, right? Massive though it was, those huge cannons on its side also screamed out for the chuunin’s attention.

As Tsusho goes on and on in a distracting manner, providing time for a few subtle motions before combat, Ryoko flicks her fingers out and sends all her strings out in unison. They cling to the great behemoth of a shippai and skip along its surface, flickering as they snap from point to point until they’re all gathered together in one precise location. Joints tended to make for weak points, and it looks to Ryoko like the cannon and the legs on each side connected close together, almost like a crab, or lobster. Probably more like a lobster. Her strings wiggle their way snug into a rotating ball and socket joint, and then Ryoko slowly balls her fist. She leans some, and reaches her hand back as she begins to gather up a great deal of chakra.

A great deal, but not too much. Not enough to fully drain her, but enough to notice.  As Tsusho is finishing up his speech and mounting into his spider, Ryoko readies herself, and unleashes her fury as he is calling for the charge.

"Hnnng..." She groans quietly as the physical strain of bringing so much of her strength to bear builds up quickly inside her.  Then she unleashes a somewht loud "Haaaaa!!"

She throws her arm forward with a wild and strength filled swing. It throws her a little off balance putting so much effort into it, but the chakra transmitted through her strings lets the punch impact far away. And far, far stronger than anyone might imagine the tiny chuunin could muster.

She had honed her strength over years of being destructive. Toys and treasures alike were little more than fodder for her whim. Statues of her family, even of herself, had been tests for her lifting strength, and then smashing strength. She reveled in it. She had never gotten to use this sort of strike in a real battle, but it was known to leave craters when she did it for fun.

SAs of note. Chakra control

Tldr: Ryoko's shiso ido strikes with the equivalent strength of a taijutsu primary chuunin, plus a strength enhancing SA, and then doubling it with strength of will. She is hoping she might be able to break off a few legs and one of those cannons by striking a nice weak spot all sudden like. In total it costs her a very low, a low, and a high chakra cost.

Mental Might
Ryoko is very well practiced in her telekinesis, and constant training with heavy weapons has increased her mind's muscles to remarkable proportions. Her constant practice and relentless will to improve has won her noticeably increased strength over the others Aihara in her grade. She is able to lift heavier weights, and strike with significantly more force than average.

While this strength does let her lift more weight, this strength is still divided evenly between all her strings. It does not provide her with any additional strings, nor increase her maximum number of items controlled based on her rank. She is, however, now strong enough to use her Doomstar, and other such heavy weapons with a single string.

NAME: Eikyō [Impact]

RANK: B

CHAKRA USAGE: Low or High

CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu(puppetry)

ELEMENT: N/A

HANDSEALS: N/A

REQUIREMENT: Chakra Control, Shiso Ido

DESCRIPTION:
When using this jutsu the Aihara will send a small burst of chakra through their strings. Any single object they have their strings on may be impacted, and the force transmitted depends fully on how many strings are attached to the object being struck. No matter how many objects an Aihara is controlling, only a single may be struck with each use of this jutsu.

This jutsu strikes with the force of a good solid taijutsu punch, however is reduced in effectiveness by 1/20th(5%) for each string not attached to the object. As such, Aihara typically like to have all 20 of their strings on a single object on an item when they strike it. This is not required, of course, but since it cost only a Low amount of chakra no matter the strength, they like to go for max!

If the user brings 100% of their strength to bear, the Aihara may also combine this jutsu with Strength of Will, greatly increasing their striking force. When doing so they must pay a High amount for this jutsu, as well as the cost of Strength of Will, but the potential damage output is dramatic. Regardless of strength applied, like other techniques this jutsu lacks the strength required to have any meaningful impact on weapons and armor that are B ranked and above. Such items, unless they are described as being fragile, are simply too resistant to normal breaking.

NAME: Ishi no tsuyo-sa [Strength of Will]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Low [Continuous]
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu(Puppetry)
ELEMENT: N/A
HANDSEALS: N/A
DESCRIPTION:
Tapping on the deepest reserves of their inner strength, this jutsu is only called upon when great mass and great weight is needed to be moved. In such a case, the user attaches all of their chakra strings to a single object. Infusing it with extra chakra, the user is able to double their lifting capacity. Only a single object may be controlled with this jutsu, and the object moves at half the user’s maximum speed, however this jutsu can lead to some very impressive feats in telekenisis.

Oh Kami...."

It was a nightmare factory of no other she had seen....One where the individuals responsible had been likely human at one point. This display of seeing those caged now processed and turned into puppets, the sight of their leader now admitting to their own concept of freeing people, left Himari shaken to her core...

She never imagined that this was how Shippai were made. Nor did she assume that one of their own would be so lost as to consider this a act of mercy and saving humanity...

She'd see as the others reacted as well, most preparing to fight, others assessing the scene as to be ready for them to either make an exit or to go about their plan of destroying this place from the inside. In either case, there was no way they could leave here without doing something.

As the call for battle escaped Tsusho lips, the blonde shinobi would draw out two kunai with explosives attached to each end. With a swift throw, she'd attempt to try and detain the two Shippai that laid in front of the massive Savior, hopefully distracting them as the puppet master launched their attack. With this act complete, she'd begin to move in, her body rushing forward to act as cover for the man as she closed the gap between herself and one of the smaller puppets in between the larger ones. With the activation of the explosive tags upon connecting with them, she'd take hold of the Scavenger, wrapping her arms around it's mid-section as she tossed it against the It that kills on the right side of her.

This was certainly not the best sense of odds, but if this was to be their last stand, at least they could go out fighting and stopping this madness once and for all. Or die trying at the very least.

Show-Stopper
Himari begun her career as an underdog, underestimated by many of her opponents within the ring due to her size. Yet, in spite of this, she would always come up with a way to win in the end, despite being at the disadvantage. This has much to do with her reflexes, capable of moving around her targets attempts and finding the openings she needs to take them down. More often than not, this serves as her means of protection in it being difficult to hit a someone that you can't accurately engage against. Though it operates on her instincts, it can be unreliable in some situations. Especially if Himari has not been able to figure out the exact anatomy of her opponent.

Heart of a Champion
During her run within the OWA, Himari would train constantly to build up her strength and stamina. She would need both in order to complete the various techniques that were involved in her style of wrestling. As such, strength training was key in her mind as she came up with an arrangement in order to continue to build upon those foundations taught to her. While she is indeed smaller than most of the people she encounters, her size does no more than give her the appearance of being less powerful than she is. Her ability to sustain stronger grapples upon her opponents is increase through this advantage, as well as the impact of her physical attacks.

Legacy of a Champion
Okada Riku was known throughout the world for her speed and agility when she was in the ring. Such is reflected upon her continue run until her retirement. This trait has been passed down by to her daughter as Himari has displayed incredible speed. This has only increased over the years, alongside her training with both her mother and other shinobi. She can move swiftly across the field with little issue, using her agile footwork to get in close on a target before they can even realize it. Excelling at this, she focuses on being evasive with this ability as well, allowing for her to be just as proactive in getting in, as well not getting hit in the process.

Keen Eye
After leaving the life of a performer, Himari was given the opportunity to help development the next generation of wrestlers for the OWA. This required that she further study the methods and means in which to help others increase their potential safely without causing injury to themselves. In doing this, she learned about the human body, as well as points upon which one could take advantage of a target and weaken them. While this was a skill she had learned through her career, she further used this knowledge to be more accurate of calculating strategies when dealing with opposition, as well as certain situations that required a keen insight into the anatomy of an individual. This insight also allows for Himari to properly control her own chakra with knowledge of her own limited and accessible supply.

Souma

Chuunin, Iwagakure Medical Corps

@name | ### | notes

Souma's eyes travel those in the cages, her mind marking the maladies. Many of which she herself could remedy by herself.

She heard the words, and thought to her own training and experiences. Shinobi often weren't clear of mind enough to permit the treatments they needed. The point he was making was sound, though there was surely something off about-

The flames burst upwards, and Souma's eyes shot wide open. The fires moved, traveled into the metal bodies- which were already moving to toss away the bodies that had fed them. For that was the trick, wasn't it? For all the intelligence being presented by these things...

Tsusho spoke to the "leader," treated with him, expressing a level of... sympathy? Empathy? Souma wasn't sure which. But his angle was made clear as he tried for the leader's control staff, and Souma shouted as her hands started to work through a series of hand seals.

"There is NO sign that ANY individuals survive that process! NO wondering over their new body, NO joy at their release from pain or sickness or harm, just IMMEDIATE SERVITUDE.

THESE ARE CANCER MADE METAL!"
Souma raised her voice to erase any hint of doubt in her companions, even as the flat, even lines of her released Seal spread over her body, enhancing the power of her ninjutsu as it did. "THEY ARE UNENDING CELLS OF A SPREADING DEATH CONSUMING LIFE TO FEED ITSELF.

EXCISE THEM!"

Souma's hands completed the final seal, and she gave them what they wanted. They spoke so much of how metal was true strength, of how metal would free them from their mortal bonds.

"TANTETSU FORBIDDEN TECHNIQUE: STEEL RELEASE REINFORCEMENT!"

Souma's chakra surged, and metal engulfed her. Coiling strands forming a perfect human musculature, a far more true example of what they tried to be. Instead of these pale imitations of life, these skeletal scrapheaps animated by the consumed chakra of those devoured in the flames, Souma stood as a true, perfected metal body, the incredibly nuanced technique further enhanced by her released Seal.

"Come, then. Let us test your cure- AGAINST MINE!"

Cables explode out of Souma's fists and follow the sweeping movement of her arms as she swings them upwards and brings them down with staggering force, the cables extending the reach of her strikes dramatically as she begins her assault with Those That Destroy, attempting to single out and devastate the acid-bearing puppets, reasoning the tanks and mechanisms looked similar to the flamethrowers she'd seen before! Her primary focus was on eliminating any threat to Tsusho, and her secondary on using every available second of the extremely draining Steel Release Reinforcement technique to tear the inferior steel of these Shippai abominations to pieces.

Jutsus used:

Strength of a Hundred Mark: long-term large-scale chakra storage, jutsu empowerment

Defending Tsusho against interference and attack, and assaulting the shippai with particular focus in It That Destroys in an attempt to dismantle their AOE capabilities before it becomes an issue.
