After a brief conversation, the pair go over the information they have, with Saya showing her preparedness and intelligence gather abilities. Using Raika's Byakugan, the pair quickly find and dispatch the bandits, finding it rather easy to work together, despite being potential opponents in the upcoming Chuunin Exams.

Despite this, the pair of Genin prevail, killing the deseters and capturing their leader, who they take back to Hohei-Cho to be dealt with under the law.
