Universal Bukijutsu NAME: Seikatsu Setsudan Ippo [Life Severing Step] RANK: S CHAKRA USAGE: High On-Use / High Continuous CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu ELEMENT: Raiton HANDSEALS: None REQUIREMENT: A striking weapon (Sword, Axe, Club etc), any form of Bukijutsu Spec, Speed SA DESCRIPTION: The Life Severing Step is not named as such because it will end a life by its own, but because it's a technique that most times enables the user to strike down their foe in one strike, by enhancing their attack using this technique. This type of footwork technique relies on being comboed with any other technique that has a very short to no preparation time. The base idea of this technique is, to move so fast that your opponent can not react to the attack that is being used in combination with this movement technique, while using the momentum of the fast movement, to enhance the following strike's power. The user performs this technique by circulating lightning type chakra into their feet and legs and then releasing the chakra as they move, to shoot themselves into the intended direction. Moving in this way, leaves whatever they used to stand on, usually completely destroyed as the user catapults themselves forward. That said, this technique needs solid ground beneath the user to be performed. The weapon requirement in this technique is so the user can balance themselves as they move forward and translate the momentum into an attack. Once used, the Life Severing Step only allows the user to shoot into one direction, with no ability to move left or right until the one movement has been finished. The way this technique is intended to be used, is that the user can move forward at a speed too fast for the eye and strike simultaneously and use the force of the strike to stop their movement as they translate the momentum of their movement into the following attack. Should this be successful, and they stopped their movement, then the user could transition into another attack using this footwork. The Life Severing Step can be used in combination with any Bukijutsu that can be used 'very quickly' and during movement. The attack resulting from this technique is nearly impossible to dodge and would require someone with a speed SA and at least an A-Rank speed enhancing technique to dodge. It is easier to block and read as the attack will always be head on, but to attempt to block the resulting attack, would require someone to block with a technique that can be instantly activated. The biggest giveaway to this technique coming, is the high amount of lightning chakra around the user's legs before movement, which allows a short moment to prepare a counter.

This is not a bukijutsu technique, it's a raiton ninjutsu or taijutsu (since you are imbuing legs with raiton chakra)... It is also basically a body flicker, except without any draw backs and also with the ability to attack right after, which is a limitation of the body flicker. Honestly it kind of goes into several directions and infringes on limited abilities to some extent.

Why is there a continuous chakra drain attached? Is there an implication that it can be used continuously again without drawback?

Why is there is a striking weapon requirement, the technique itself does not rely on a weapon at all. It's a propulsion/acceleration technique as I said. The striking weapon requirement should be removed. I don't know why there is a buki spec as there is no buki required in this technique...

The technique as it stands is not really something approvable and I do not know what direction to take it. You will need to re-think this particular technique so that the weapon being used is at the center (not legs, body, etc). For Buki it HAS to use a weapon and there is not really even mention of a weapon other than essentially once you get to your target you attack them which can be implied without even writing that in.
