 Name: Uchiha Kazui Age: 18 Gender: Female Birthday: December 25, 1005 Village: Konohagakure no sato Clan: Uchiha Military Rank: Jōnin Combat Rank: Jōnin Position: Jōnin Hanchō alias(es): Zuzu [Friends and Family] A nickname gifted to her once and she decided to call herself, a name that seems to have caught on with a lot of people within the village who are good friends with the girl. Normally used informally as a means of getting the girl’s attention, and quite honestly Kazui is pretty fond of the nickname considering that people only give and use nicknames to people they truly care for. It doesn’t have a certain meaning behind it, it’s just a simplified version of her birth name. Tsukino | 月の | Of The Moon [ANBU] This is Kazui’s code name when being addressed by other members of ANBU in substitute for her actual name. It means child of the moon, and was given to her due to her fascination/obsession of the moon, her mysterious yet bright lone wolf personality, as well as her affiliation with the wolf summoning contract, the name seems to fit pretty well. Kazui is only called this by previous and current members of ANBU as well as the Hokage and other council members who have knowledge of the organization. Kazui of the Sharingan [International] Hailed as the prodigy of the Uchiha clan, Kazui’s name and prowess with the clans dojutsu quickly spread throughout the lands as she has been deemed one of the more dangerous wielders of the Sharingan. From her performance in her chūnin exams, to various run-ins with numerous shinobi, the teen has grown her notoriety to the point where she is more or less considered a common household name. APPEARANCE Height: 5’5” (165.10 cm) Weight: 125 lbs (56.69kg)  Kazui is a young woman who normally keeps to herself. A very somber and stoic demeanor leads to her often being mistaken as bored or in a bad mood although she hasn’t always been this way, it has become a big part of the way the Uchiha carries herself. Upon first glance, most people who had never met the woman prior before would think she is extremely serious, and to a degree that is the case. She holds her head high, and is very prideful and confident. She moves and speaks with intent and purpose. She has dark grey eyes, appearing as black, that can be cold or warm depending on her mood, a characteristic of many descendants of the Uchiha clan. Another dominant trait of the Uchiha lineage would be the girl’s dark, raven colored hair that resembles the likes of, well...a raven. When she was a bit younger she would wear her hair relatively short, her bangs would fall down to her eyebrows, and the sides of her hair would barely fall above her shoulders. Now, the girl’s hair easily reaches past the shoulder and just below the shoulder blades. Despite being born sickly, which has resulted in her being rather skinny in her younger years, as time passed however her figure has filled out to that of a healthy woman rather than that of a sick girl. Kazui has managed to put on a bit of muscle and tone up thanks to her rigorous training as well, now she kind of looks the part of a kunoichi, albeit she’s still relatively short but with tone muscles behind her soft, fair colored skin that complements one another fairly nicely. Another noticeable characteristic of the woman’s appearance is her smooth, unmarked skin void of any ailments or alterations. No tattoos, scars, bumps or bruises can be found on Kazui’s figure.  Outfit wise for the woman, there are a few different styles that she dons. As a member of one of Konoha’s most respected and renowned founding clans, there was a time where Kazui dressed akin to others in the clan, oversized collars and sleeves were typical, however now since her reinstatement into Konoha’s forces as well as her promotion into the prestigious Jonin Hancho role, Kazui now wears a plethora of slim-fitting dresses (pictured above) that perfectly fit her figure. Usually royal emerald in color with gold trim, the dress typically has long sleeves and doesn’t come past her mid-thigh, exposing the woman’s legs. Beneath her dress Kazui wears mesh undergarments for certainty that not much would ever be exposed. In addition, Kazui has now picked up on accessories, she can often be seen wearing a thin silver necklace with a small pendant of a heart hanging across her high chest, if not this particular necklace then the woman can be seen wearing a small pearl necklace. Earrings, bracelets, and even anklets as well. Her fingernails are often void of colored paint but can be black or white on occasions. The typical shinobi sandals have been replaced by a pair of heels that come up just past the woman’s knees, making her appear two inches taller than she actually is. Kazui doesn’t wear a headband as when her name is mentioned there is no question of her affiliation. PERSONALITY Nindo: "The sun will always rise after the storm.” SHY, RESERVED, & MINDFUL A soft voice that just barely reaches those whom she speaks with, and often the quietest in the room. At first glance Kazui is what many would consider "shy”. However, Kazui herself describes it more as reserved. Polite, professional, and proper - Kazui is a woman who was taught to have manners and though she may not have shown it in the past, it is still a principle she stands on. A true leadership quality that has always been present is her willingness to listen rather than talking. Strangers get this version of the woman in heavy dosages, loved ones however often have a far different experience. Regardless if they are a stranger or not, Kazui tends to be very mindful of her surroundings and those kept in her company. She is not quick to trust, even those who she is most familiar with have to continuously prove their trustworthiness as she has been betrayed before. Kazui sees this version of herself as limiting however, and at times she tries her hardest to be more outgoing and open, as many others would suggest to her. Though, she may come off as a bit awkward in doing so. CONFIDENT, UNYEILDING, & UNFORGIVING At first glance, the air surrounding Kazui is deadly serious. Especially when pertaining to business or village related situations, when the ravenette arrives it often means it is time to get serious, nearly sucking the life out of any gathering, leaving zero room for play and fun. Unless expressed outwardly otherwise the woman is as serious as a heart attack. Being a part of the Uchiha clan called for such hardened exterior, and a strict lifestyle. It can easily be seen outwardly by all. Kazui is the last person to back down and the first person to take action. Fighting her way through those who bullied her during her time in the academy, she’s fierce in nature, scrappy, and headstrong. Once considered the underdog of her prestigious clan, now she sits near the top rivaled only by Uchiha Issei. Facing her deepest fear, loneliness, to search for her brother and doing so with no hesitation - It is clear Kazui has no problem shutting down her doubters or throwing herself into the fire for what she deems is morally right. Not even loved ones are safe from this version of the woman at times. She shows no favoritism nor does she give any special treatment, especially when it comes to matters regarding the village, her clan, and her role as the Hanchō. When Kazui is present, typically all shinobi in attendance straighten up and act on their best behavior as they would rather not have to face Kazui’s fury. It would take quite the pair to openly joke around with the ravenette - only a few being able to pull off such a feat. BY THE BOOK The jonin lives by a strict schedule, very little room for spontaneous events or activities. She follows a set routine and a set diet as well - only breaking it for the likes of a certain Uzumaki. Her lifestyle is traditional. Wake up, training, eat, work, clean, study, training, and rest. Thus, the woman rarely runs late, and is rarely forgetful of matters that need to be handled. Many would consider her a bore, and this often creates a divide between her and most others who seek a thrill. She’d be lying if she said it didn’t get under her skin, and play on her feelings when she was referred to in such a manner - however it was the easiest way she could find stability in her hectic life. So deviating from what she knew so well wasn’t anything she wished to do soon - though with the likes of Miroru in her corner she finds the time to have a little fun as well. When it comes to day to day life outside of shinobi work, Kazui is no different than that of a housewife or that of a hardworking mother. She cooks, cleans, and handles her responsibilities efficiently, facilitating all variables beneath her control - being the caretaker since the age of ten often had that effect. And since she worked at the Drunken Monkey - her cooking skills were superb to any who indulged in her recipes. Though it is something that has always burdened the young Uchiha when paired with training to be a kunoichi, cooking and cleaning often allowed her to clear her mind and relax. THE INEXPERIENCED GENERATIONAL GENIUS Intelligence is the foundation of Kazui’s character as a kunoichi. She’s very tactical, analytical, poised, and clever. Her fighting style revolves around the use of her mind before all things else. As sharp as the finest blade in the land of mist, general intelligence however can only take the woman so far when she suffers from a lack of life experience. She often struggles understanding her feelings, and other’s feelings towards her as a result, mostly noticeable when she was a young teen. For the better half of her life, love and affection remained uncharted territory and thus in the past it often created friction between crushes and even caused her to remain oblivious to her significant other’s affection - yearning out for her affection as well. Despite this contrast, Kazui is still sought after regarding her intellect and in turn she often listens to those with lessons to teach, learning as she navigates through life itself. Unbeknownst to her, Kazui’s language of love is simple. While gift giving, and physical touch is deeply appreciated by the ravenette, what truly makes her heart skip a beat is as simple as telling her that she is cared for. Words of affection and being welcomed into the lives of others can easily soften the woman’s hardened exterior. On a deeper level kazui is really BRIGHT & LOVING Once one manages to get past the woman’s blandness, pridefulness, and her rather awkwardness - taking the time to truly understanding the past that fuels her to be the kunoichi that she is today, only then would one understand just how caring the Uchiha can be. To those with knowledge, Kazui is an open door to many if not all, even some who she shares bad blood with. She is the type to help others with their problems while suffering to find solutions to her own. Though not the most welcomeing individual, what Kazui is however is an extremely familiar individual - having been born and raised within Konohagakure, even being seen working part-time jobs during her time as a student and genin, her familiar presence often draws the youth and elders alike to the woman in which she gladly helps and speaks with them in turn. Kazui is known for helping the elder and when it comes to children despite her typical demeanor, the jonin can be found sharing stories or playing games with them when requested by the kids. At times she may come off as jealous, overprotective, and an overthinker - destroying her own mental state to a degree. Yet this is all out of love for those that she truly cares for. Though she does have favorite people that she enjoys spending time with and talking to, in the same breath however Kazui is quick to call all of Konoha her extended family. From Kazuto to Kiseki, Shigure to Toshizou as well. They all work to achieve the same goal, much to the likes of one big family. In truth, there is probably no other shinobi within the walls of Konoha that cares deeper than the raven haired teen - she would risk her life for her family in a heartbeat and the door to her office is always open. Though, as always there is a thin line between love and hatred in which in the past said line was smeared and her differences with the village (or rather those in charge) were on display. However, since it is love that she operates under - returning to Konoha to help during great times of need was of little issue to the kunoichi. THE UNSUNG HERO An Unsung Hero is an individual who performs great acts of bravery or self-sacrifice for the greater good, while receiving zero flowers, praise, or recognition for their actions. Kazui is a true embodiment of such a title. What drives her is compassion, morality, and the greater good, the right good. She is selfless, risking her own life for others and never truly seeking celebration for her efforts. Working long hours in office for the sake of Konoha with little thanks to go around, though honestly this is the way Kazui would prefer it. In addition, human life, and life in general is something Kazui holds near and dear to her heart. In her perfect world, all nations would see eye to eye and work in tandem to achieve greater. This can be seen by the jonin’s complete mastery and application of her genjutsu. With a simple stare Kazui has the capacity to put an end to most battles without the need for bloodshed. To her, death is never an immediate answer to a problem, unless there is a true and absolute need. Even when faced with the toughest era of her life - when it felt as if the village turned it’s back on her, Kazui still took it upon herself to watch over the village, protect those who needed protection, and kept in touch with those with enough clearance to actually get in touch with the then rogue kunoichi. Even sparing the lives of numerous enemies when push came to shove. This is only known by few however, and as such many simply see her as an ex-criminal - unaware of the truth that runs deep. Despite her love for life and desire to see better however, Kazui isn’t one to hesitate to cut a life short. It’s the duality of shinobi. On the opposing end of her genjutsu, the ravenette wields the Chidori, a highly skilled technique with the sole purpose of ending one’s life. For the betterment of her village and for the general greater good, Kazui slays any who may stand in the way of such goals. THE LONELY LONE WOLF It is no secret that Kazui’s biggest fear is ending up alone. From an early age she had been void of much company and general affection outside of her grandmother and Reiashi, however once the woman passed and the Uzumaki parted ways for a lengthy mission - Kazui found herself faced with emptiness yet again. The world grew colder and colder as the days went on, and eventually the young girl had grown accustomed to such negative conditions that throwing herself completely into the darkness was simply child’s play to the Uchiha. This particular upbringing has caused the woman to adopt a strong sense of self-reliance, often choosing to lean on her own devices rather than depending on others. It can be seen by her fighting style and her jack of all trades skillset. Kazui is extremely confident in herself to the point where her fear of being alone has dwindled. At least that’s what she thinks… 8 months on the road, alone, with no shelter and minimal food quickly gave Kazui a wake up call. Despite facing her fears and living the life of a lone wolf - during her brief stent as a ronin, Kazui realized that the purpose of life was to work in tandem with others, to love others, and be loved by others. And so when offered by Lord Keisuke to return to the leaf village, it was an easy choice for the ravenette. It starts with her mother, Uchiha Kazuya, and her father, Uchiha Hachiko. Growing up Kazuya wasn’t into the shinobi life much, she liked staying home and helping out around the house like her mother would do. It was peaceful for her, staying home and staying out of harms way. Kazuya has no real desire to become a shinobi, it wasn’t something she was interested in nor was it something she would be forced into, if anything the girl wanted to sell clothes and things of the such. Hachiko, on the other hand was obsessed with being a shinobi, he was obsessed with power and strength, the youngest of 4 sons, Hachiko was the weakest and was often picked on the most for being as such. The boys weren’t exactly the best of friends, they saw each other as competition, which was probably why they continued to get stronger. Hachiko put his blood sweat and tears into the art of being a shinobi, and so he was recognized by the teachers at the academy. He soared through the classes and was a genin in no time, time passed and the kid became a jounin before he even became a chuunin, he was considered a prodigy amongst his family and friends. This newly found sense of power caused the boy to change as he grew older. He began looking down on those who were inferior to him, bullying them and treating as they were less than human. He did this to everyone except one girl who caught his eye. One day, inside the Uchiha compound, Hachiko’s and Kazuya’s paths crossed, they were around 18 at the time, and to Hachiko it was love at first sight. The two were so in love with one another, they would spend every chance they had to be with one another, which led to the two getting married and eventually having their first child, Uchiha Hatoru. The boy showed much promise at a very young age, unlike his father did. This pleased Hachiko very much. Hatoru was everything Hachiko wanted to be when he was younger, he was exceptional at every little thing he did, and like his father, Hatoru flew threw the academy and became a genin at the age of 8. The same day Hatoru graduated from the academy, Kazui was born. Kazuya was getting sicker and sicker as the days passed during her pregnancy. The woman inevitably passed away shortly after Kazui’s birth, holding her newly born child in her hands, Kazuya smiles and with her last breaths, she sung a lullaby to her crying child, this calmed Kazui until the tunes stopped and her mother passed. This would start the downward spiral of Hachiko. The medics blamed the disease the woman had prior, and clearly stated to Hachiko that the pregnancy wasn’t the cause of Kazuya’s death, but the man did not listen, nor did he care. Kazui was born prematurely, severely underweight and small compared to Hatoru, who was born perfectly healthy at the time. Not only was the child sick, but she was a girl. Hachiko was a man who believed women were inferior, and saw those who had daughters, weak for bearing them. But Hachiko still brought his daughter home, she was a burden to him ever since. At the same time the girl would always get sick and would need to be taken to the hospital, which Hachiko refused, leaving the girl’s grandmother to take her to receive proper care. Doctors didn’t expect the girl to live past the age of two, but they did their best to make the girl healthy. Time passed, but not much changed. Kazui was always weak and sick, and Hatoru was beginning to gain the attention of high ranking shinobi in the village, at only 11 years old. Hatoru often spent numerous hours with his younger sister, playing with her and taking care of her usually until their father pulled him to the side and forced him to work on his shurikenjutsu or taijutsu. This happened almost everyday until one day Hatoru went out on a mission and never returned, he was killed and the remains of his body weren’t able to be retrieved since his body had fallen deep into water. This left Kazui at home with Hachiko, her father who despised her. To him Kazui was the complete opposite of what he and Hatoru embodied. She was weak and sick, and was the reason that her mother was not around today, and he never missed the opportunity to remind the young girl of how she had taken the only woman he had ever loved away from him. Behind closed doors the girl would cry, and question why she was ever born. The only love she ever received was from her grandmother, but she wasn’t around as much, she usually stayed away from the Uchiha compound due to their nature. Years passed, and the girl began to get a bit healthier than she was before, thanks to medics and doctors extensive research and care, Kazui was beginning to make progress. She began putting on more weight and she even grew an inch or two. However, the same couldn’t be said about Hachiko. When Kazui was 9, her father had fallen ill. With no one around to take care of him, Kazui often made sure her father was okay. She would place blankets over him when it was chilly, she would make sure he took his medicine and even made sure the man was fed. She even taught herself how to sew and knit in her free time and would sell blankets and things of the sort to those who were willing to buy them, as a child she didn’t know much about anything so she often sold these blankets for less than what they were worth, even if she did know, she probably wouldn’t have bargained the price, the earnings she made went to her father’s and her own medication, as well as a means of buying food for the two of them as well. Kazui did all of this out of love for her father, yet the man still showed no love or affection towards the girl, he even went as far as to spew hates and despise towards the girl while she was taking care of him. Whenever she would try to help, he would yell out "I don’t need your help, i'm not weak like you” or something of the nature, even though he was clearly in a worse condition than she was. The young girl would just ignore, with teary eyes as she continued to help the man whom she hated most. Yet that same man was her father, so regardless there was a bond between the two, she loved him for the most part, she only hated him whenever he would verbally abuse her. But yet, each time she was ignorant enough to find forgiveness deep in her heart. This went on for months before it eventually began to fade. The man started actually talking to her as if he were her daughter, the more that she took care of him, the more he realized how much he meant to Kazui, he was the only one that was still there for her and he treated her like shit for the past 9 years. One day he cried to his daughter, knowing his time here was nearing the end, he apologized to Kazui genuinely, and he hugged the girl tight. This was odd to Kazui, her heart was heavy but she didn’t cry, she just hesitantly hugged Hachiko and closed her eyes, and for the first time the girl felt the love of a parent. A smile grew on her face as she fought back tears. That same night, the girl laid down next to her father as he slept through the night, and when the sun rose the next morning his battle on earth was no more. He passed away peacefully through the night, and naturally Kazui shed tears. She was now all alone for the most part, no mother or father to look over her. Kazui was ten years old when Hachiko passed, she was sent to the orphanage where she would have a place to eat and sleep, during this time the girl would register herself up for the shinobi academy. It was something she wanted to do after hearing tales of her older brother who had died when she was only three years old. Her time in the orphanage was short lived however, he grandmother decided to move back into the Uchiha compound to stay with the girl and watch over her. Kazui often wonders how different things would be if Hotaru were still alive, she also wonders how loving her mother was, and how different things would have been if she had given birth to a healthy daughter and not died during. These are the thoughts that clouds the girl’s mind whenever she daydreams, she finds the thoughts peaceful and happy for the most part, it lets her escape reality. Kazui has been in the academy for 3 years, and everyday she is striving to become a shinobi like her brother was, even like her father. FIGHTING STYLE From becoming a genin all the way up to being promoted to a the rank of jōnin, Kazui’s fighting style hasn’t changed much. She’s still the same old girl that she had always been, and her style of fighting wasn’t broken so there was no real reason to deviate from it. Most of her fighting style still rests on the base known as her mind, or her intelligence to be specific, it’s the foundation of who she is. The only thing that has changed about her since the moment she became a kunoichi is the sharingan that has finally developed, giving her a better insight on the world around her. To this day still Kazui reads her opponent before running off into battle, with her dojutsu active this is much easier than before. Reading, analyzing, and dissecting her opponents’ fighting style, behavior, and even memorizing the smallest and miniscule details about them. She does this with her allies as well, to see their strengths and weaknesses. This allows her to formulate a plan on how to tackle a certain situation or a certain someone, and try to execute said plan as best as they can. While genjutsu is her main art, her primary art, and her overall strongest and most knowledgeable skill, there was a point in time where the girl didn’t heavily rely on it often unless it was absolutely needed. Now however, with her mastery of the art as well as her application of the illusionary world, the woman now casts them casually in battle, effortlessly even at a moment’s notice - causing most of her opponents to adopt a strong sense of urgency to avoid looking into her eyes and/or face at all cost while battling her - more so than any other Uchiha - which can make fighting her even more difficult especially in close quarters due to her quickness and craftiness. Since an academy student she was told to focus on her genjutsu, and while she ultimately did, she didn’t toss any other disciplines off to the side to do so. The girl still depends heavily on her ninjutsu, and even uses fuinjutsu here and there. However, with the addition of her sharingan the girl’s taijutsu and bukijutsu ability took a leap far beyond what she thought she would ever be capable of, which is why she normally prefers to start a fight off with either of the two. Though, the way she starts a fight will often be dependent on who her opponent is. She is fast naturally, but can be a speedster when combined with her raiton. In addition to movement speed however, Kazui’s hands are blistering fast as well, specifically when she is weaving handseals, even trained eyes struggle to keep up and register whenever she forms her handseals in time. The ravenette is capable of throwing a combination of strikes while simultaneously slipping handseals into the equation unnoticed. Whenever she is looking to end a fight quickly there is usually one solution in which she calls upon, leaning on the deadliness of Chidori this is often a tell-tale sign that Kazui means business. Much like always, Kazui remains dangerously calm during combat. Many often see it as cockiness, but in truth it allows her to keep a clear mind which is crucial to her fighting style. Even when emotions flare in her heart, there remains a stillness in her mind that lets her judge and gauge situations clearly.
