[Ikebana Kaname]

Kaname was tired of the old ways of learning how to control chakra. Hajime and Kanako always wanted to focus on only controlling the flowers and the like for fancy effects, to create scents, or even emit pollen. The teachers at the academy wanted to lecture them for hours without giving them practical experience. It was all so tedious and boring, that's why this time it was Kaname’s turn to pick the lesson type and it was his favorite… Combat!

Standing in the middle of a field of daisies, Kaname had his hands spread, before him in the ground his training staff was planted and across the field stood Kanako and Hajime. "Come on smile! We’re finally doing something fun! We’re going to be shinobi, we have to learn how to use chakra in combat anyways! That's the most important place to make sure we don’t waste it.

If everyone fought each other in a free for all scenario it was without question Kaname would be the victor. But that wasn’t the point of the battle, it was for them to better control their bodies and what lay within, to control their chakra and not waste it all in one go. Wind blew forcefully through the air ripping at Kaname’s robes, the flowers followed its commands leaning with the gust.

Off to the side of the field watching to ensure the groups safety were a few of the more elderly clan members. Their eyes focused on the next generation, watching to see just what they were made of. Casting a glance off to them, Kaname smiled before looking back to his cousin and sister.

"Lets give them a show huh?” Stepping forward and grabbing his staff Kaname waited for the other two to make their moves first.

[Ikebana Hajime]

If Hajime could let out an audible groan without it being seen as a complete disrespect to the clan elders, then he definitely would have. Unlike usual he had his shuriken pouch fastened tightly across his right thigh with two wooden kunai knives tucked comfortably into his kimono, running into hidden pockets under the sash. He tightened the sash, feeling the wooden blades press against their sheathes. The Ikebana boy spoke out, just loud enough for Kaname to hear him, a lazy venom behind his words. "You said we were going to make some barbecue. Liar." He sighed out before craning his neck in an effort to loosen the tight muscles.

He looked to the shorter of his two cousins. "Come on bubblegum, we can't let him look too good either." Hajime buried his face in his hands as if regretting coming to the training yard. "Wait for an opening." He said speaking in a low voice before tucking a hand into his kimono. Hajime produced one of the wooden kunai knives, quickly switching it into a reverse grip before holding it out in front of him. He took a preparatory fighting stance but hesitated. Haj focused on his chakra, letting it flow out of him in thick, uneven waves. Whether he knew it or not he'd managed to open the valves in his chakra network but that had been the extent of his control. Any who could view or sense chakra would know the boys chakra was waxing and waning, turning and twisting in violent shocks.

Still, it was enough to give him haphazard access to the few jutsu he could rely on. Underneath his skin he felt the twisting of the Ikebana legacy. It was oddly uncomfortable as if the fauna below his skin protested in the uncontrolled release of their most precious nourishment. He exhaled once again before launching forward.

Hajime followed a half-moon path sprinting out before quickly closing in on Kaname.

Focus. He forced himself.

Hajime came off the ground, spinning as he brought his right foot up in a spinning blow to Kaname's shoulder. A testing strike, amplified with the chakra that spilled out of the boy.
