"Alright...lessee..." Taki would say as she gave herself a look over in the mirror before heading out to head back home to the sage compound. "I got myself a new chair at da ready, my gear is as tight as can be and I'm ready ta get rolling." she'd pat her jacket down one last time before putting on her sunglasses and makes her way towards the elevator and down the steps to the front entrance to the gym. As she made her way down she'd be met by a variety of her cousins who all seemed to be pre-occupied with whatever they were doing.

"Yo Taki!" one member would say. "Mornin Champ!" said another whom she'd high five on her way on her way to the front. As she made her way over towards the center of the gym right behind the large glass viewing wall stood one of her older cousins Sogo she and her were close and while she took on another family name she was an Okada through and through and seemed to be hard at work with her puppets.

That kind of thing was still something she hadn't exactly understood but the girl was a hard worker and earned that title she had around her waist she'd held it for a good long while and while Taki couldn't come to a lot of her shows as often as she'd like she would always hear something through the grape vine. She had a little time to spare so she'd watch her display for just a second before taking off. As she watched a catchy tune would play around the room.

Souzouteki Sogo

[Souzouteki Sogo]

Sogo herself was busy trying out her puppets in the Okada clan compound, using some of the training resources that were at their disposal in Kuwana. She rather liked the way she could have her Wrecking Rabbit slash at a target with its kunai ears from one side, and then slamming the boar into the other side to push the training dummy even further onto the smaller rabbit's kunai ears, but she wanted to try and see how quickly she could switch to using her puppets for a more close-range form of combat. She pulls on the puppet strings, causing the Wrecking Rabbit and her Charging Bullplate to come towards her at a rapid pace, before a quick finger twitch with each hand causes the rabbit puppet and the boar puppet to come apart.

Sogo yanks the rabbit puppet halves into place while the boar puppet surrounds her torso, with its head forming something like a crest shield over her left side. She can see Taki getting ready to go, but she figures if she can give the training dummy a good walloping, it should get her younger cousin's attention; Sogo herself only wore the "amateur" belt championship, as she mostly worked with much younger Okada children to teach them the ropes about performance combat. Her aspirations were higher, though, and she wanted to get at least some recognition from the higher ranking Okada. So with a hard step in, she charges at the wood and straw training dummy, smashing it with the boar's tusks, then using the gauntlets made from the rabbit puppet to crush the training dummy's head between her fists, using the legs from the Wrecking Rabbit to increase the punch force. This, of course, causes the dummy's head to erupt, and she whoops with delight, only to turn back towards Taki to see if she also enjoyed the show.

Of course, the puppet was still partially attached by the boarplate's tusks, causing it to be ripped away from its post still attached to her, and she lightly brushes the straw and wood dummy off of her before deftly wiping the straw out of her blonde hair and her ponytail. Even with a few pieces of straw in her hair, it's clear that she's been working hard, judging by the sweat drawing down her face past her Iwagakure headband. Her steps are also a bit sluggish, clearly a little tired out from the additional weight the puppets put on her body while she's wearing them.

Taki would only stay for a few scant moments taking a look at what the girl had gotten up too, her puppets looked as sturdy as ever and had some serious creative elements to them must've been that Souzuteki in her. The girl was happy to see but she also knew that she couldn't exactly stay long and would have to check her out some other day.

She left and smiled seeing her progress but couldn't stay long and just as her flashy display finished the girl had already trailed her way off towards the exit to the gym. With that she made her way down the road towards the edge of the street.

"She's gonna do great. But I'd betta get going." as the light shined off of her sunglasses she meandered her way down the streets passing by the stadium and nearing the edge of the city rather quickly unbeknowst to her older cousin.

But just before she decided to head off she'd stop by a stand, that was selling some familiar items, was that. "Yo Unc!" the girl would say as she saw the large man in his bright orange uniform make his way out of his cart. "What're you doin out ere...?" she'd ask.

"Just figured I'd usa da mobile cart fa once, need somethin for da road?" he'd ask. The girl looked out at the long expanse in front of her. "Yeah...make it a double gimme two Okada Buns and a Fizzy." she'd say giving her just a few minutes to stop before heading off.

[Souzouteki Sogo]

Sogo is more than a little surprised when she sees that Taki seems to be in such a rush, and she wonders to herself where exactly her younger, but more advanced cousin is going. She was already a bit winded from the training she's done already, but she had been planning on hearing some critiques of her combat so that she'd know what to improve; instead, the woman was leaving the gym altogether. With some quick handiwork and tugging the Fuuinjutsu brushes from her waist, she unwraps the puppets from around her body in order to bring them back into their full puppet forms before she quickly seals both back into the large scroll she often wears on her back, with the Boar and Rabbit symbols emblazoned on the scroll once it's rolled back up.

Sogo places it on her back, now revealing the form-fitting top she has on, as well as the Okada workout pants that she sometimes uses as part of her wrestling outfit. She replaces the Fuuinjutsu brushes as well, not willing to forget them before she chases after Taki. She's also curious about where the higher ranked Okada is going in such an apparent rush, though, so she figures she might as well sneak after her, instead, just to see where she's headed. She slips out of the gym, and barely catches sight of the other blonde kunoichi walking down the road and into the city. She follows after, but at a great distance, trying her best not to be seen, which was rather something of a rarity for the majority of an Okada's life, but she'd been trained in the ninja arts as well, which wasn't quite as common for the wrestlers of Iwagakure. It certainly helped that Taki wore such ostentatious clothing, though of course it might also cause Sogo to stand out, especially with such a huge scroll on her back.

Regardless, she sneaks after Taki, only catching glimpses of her as she makes her way through the city in order to help her keep track of the other member of the Okada clan, and she ends up nearly running straight into Taki and her uncle as they talk, with Taki apparently ordering some food and a Fizzy. She watches curiously, licking her lips a little; she needed something cold and wet after working out so hard, and now chasing after her own family member like this. At least she wasn't still wearing her puppets, since they'd slow her down. But she didn't have any time to rest, because Taki was already on the move again, and she slips past the larger uncle from behind, ensuring that he wouldn't recognize her and call out, possibly alerting Taki to her presence.

Taki would take her food and stuff her face for a moment before taking her drink and moving down the road once again, but there was something bothering her crawling up the back of her spine like there was a pair of eyes on her and looked around making sure that no one was after her. "Huh...?" she had always known that there might've been members of the ANBU watching her every move and would smirk as she kept her way down the road once again it was a long journey little did she know a little Okada was following her.

The pathway was long and would surely take her some time but as she kept making her way around she'd remove a pair of headphones and was ready to turn on some tunes as she strolled down the long mountain path. The city behind her becoming a little bit distant as the badlands of the country would reveal themselves and while it was a bit unwise for the girl to have her ears plugged up on the way there she always kept one ear open just to make sure there was no funny business.

But the only thing funny was that strange blonde tuft of hair that was sneaking behind her oh if only she knew. Either way for now the girl would keep her tunes blaring as she headed down the mountain path, scarfing down one of her buns and then sipping her fizzy as care free as ever, accompanied by her horrendous singing voice. "I'VE BEEN WASTING AWAY! AND IN A TOWN WITH NO WAY OUT THERE'S NOT MUCH ELSE TO DO ANYWAY!"

[Souzouteki Sogo]

Sogo is a bit surprised to see that Taki is simply putting in headphones, and she wonders what she might be listening to, if it was some kind of radio transmission scanning device in order to keep track of any ninja teams nearby utilizing their wireless radios. Thankfully, Sogo had hers turned off; she needed to conserve the batteries on it, after all, and she had no need to keep hers turned on while she's chasing and sneaking after the higher ranking shinobi. Not long after they both leave the city and start heading through the mountainous areas that passed for the wilderness of Tsuchi no Kuni, she discovers what she's actually listening to, and her face attains an expression of listlessness at the nearly painful singing tone that Taki manages to make her voice produce.

She wonders for a moment if Taki might be literally tone-deaf. In any case, keeping even just one headphone into her ear makes it easier for Sogo to tag along without being immediately noticed. If Taki had stated aloud that thought that she might be getting stalked by the ANBU, Sogo would actually be quite flattered by the comparison to one of the secret black organizations that some ninja villages employed for stealth and assassination. To be fair, Sogo didn't know if the ANBU was a real organization or just a boogeyman that kept good little boys and girls in line. After a few miles where they seem to just be heading deeper and deeper into that wasteland of the mountains and she started missing out on oxygen in the thinning atmosphere, she finally puts in a little more effort to run after Taki and tap her on her shoulder, giving up on the sneaking in order to finally get herself a chance to catch her breath. Even when she tries to ask Taki her questions, she's having to pause in order to pant for more breath.

"Jus'... Jus' where in the hell're ya goin'?"

Her question did make sense, after all; Iwagakure was in a completely different direction, so she couldn't be going back to the ninja village, and there was very little out in the wilderness of Tsuchi no Kuni to want to go to, as far as she was aware. And Taki couldn't have been running just for exercise; there were other places to go for a good run, and especially safer places.

Taki would keep on trucking heading even further down the mountain pass having traveled quite a distance to get to where she needed to and wasn't even close at this point as she kept rocking out she'd overhear her cousin shouting just where she was going. "Good dat'll teach ya ta follow me out here..." Taki was aware she'd get tired soon and didn't travel as far as normal.

"What're you even doin...?" the girl would wonder, the clan was aware that she often left for long stretches of the month to go train and she wore a belt that pretty much screamed who she was but maybe Sogo didn't get the memo, she'd craft a handseal and form a shadow clone which would face her.

"Now take dis shadow clone and get back home...you know you ain't s'possed ta be out ere." the girl would say moving on her way, paying her younger cousin no mind. "And if'n ya must know...I was headed to da sage compound." the girl would say as she kept walking.

Admittedly she was impressed with the girls ability to come all the way out and admired the dedication but she already had two students and she didn't have time for a third, plus she had a title to defend she didn't have time to be away for 3 weeks at a time like that.

[Souzouteki Sogo]

Sogo finally catches her breath and stands up when she's teased about following her out here, and then asked what she's doing. The other blonde doesn't really have much of an answer, but when Taki makes a shadow clone and suggests that she take the shadow clone and follow it back home, the Okada has to shake her head in pure stubbornness, clearly not planning on going back, especially now that she's heard of the sage compound. Instead, she jukes her way around the shadow clone that stands in her way, feinting left and then dipping back to the right under the shadow clone's arm to get past it and right up next to Taki again.

"The hell's a sage compound? Is that where ya go to meet with other sages or what?"

Her curiosity's been piqued now, regardless of how much Taki was practically pushing her away and telling her to get lost and go home. That's something that Taki might not have known about Sogo before now, but it would certainly be quite clear to the Sage now. She practically bounces around Taki, where before she was struggling to climb through the mountain trail in order to keep up with the more advanced, though slightly younger shinobi. It also helps to keep her from being caught so easily by her shadow clone and dragged away, with the hopes that the clone would simply give up and let her follow along to see the Sage compound.

"Besides, I've already come this far out here, it'd be such a waste to send me all the way back, right? So I might as well follow along and see what this is. I might even be able to learn something about this whole thing you guys do..."

It's clear from her speech that she isn't letting go of what she saw during the Chuunin Exams.

Taki would see that the girl now had her interested piqued as she made her way around towards her asking what the sage compound is. "Sogo..." the girl would say a bit annoyed but saw how eager she was and that she really did seem like she wanted to learn.

"Fine...I'll have ta tawlk to da apes about it, but wether or not you learn anything ain't up to me." an odd choice of words since she was the sage one would think she gets to choose her apprentices in particular to determine who becomes a sage and while she is able to guide them there it is still ultimately up to the gorilla's to make that determination. Each of her apprentices needed to fufill a specific obligation to the animals in order to gain their blessing and only then will Taki be allowed to be their teacher.

"You hungry...?" she'd say offering her, the other mustard and ketchup filled bun still warm in it's orange and white packaging something for the road. "We gots us a lawng road up ahead, it'll be about a three day trip, hope you ain't have no plans." she'd say smirking to the girl as she made her way forward. "I thought you knew about dis stuff didn't you know dats why I was alwasy gawn?" she'd say somewhat confused as to why she wasn't fully in the loop.

Of course, by then, the buns would have gone stale and the dog would have become old and probably dangerous to eat as well. The question about her not knowing this stuff about the sage already only got Okada a shrug at first before she answers.

"Whenever I asked, they jus' said you was goin' out to train, and I didn't need ta worry about it. I took their word fer it."

Sogo legitimately seems unbothered by it mostly, though she still thought the whole "asking the apes" thing sounded like a bunch of monkey business.

Taki would hear her mention that she was kept out of the loop, she figured it was an open secret but in truth the only people who knew were her immediate family and not every family member so it was understandable. "Well alright den, its gonna be a lawng journey so don't lemme hear ya complaining my two odda kids are much younga den you and I don't get a peep outta dem." the girl would state.

"Boy Fudo is gonna kill me..." the girl would say under her breath he already wasn't happy with her casually inviting family members and seemingly tarnishing the sanctity of their home, but she was another apprentice hopeful so perhaps they'd grant her a little bit of leeway with such a decision but that all depended on her initial reaction to their arrival. Which while it may be a bit thorny at first might yield a tad fruitful all she'd need to tell them is that she's interested in training and they'd need to make their decision from there but the trails she might undergo certainly wouldn't be anything easy and with none of them really having any experience with puppetry it may present a unique challenge.

However that was a question for when they arrived, as the duo got closer to their destination Sogo might notice something a bit different the air here would feel moist and much less thin than some of the higher peaks they traveled too the trees would become much larger with thicker leaves as the sounds of animals could be heard off in the distance hoots and howls from the gorilla's of the compound, along with a tremble of footsteps.

[Souzouteki Sogo]

Sogo is honestly a bit surprised to hear that Taki's two students are actually even younger than she is. She knew that Yuki was younger, but she'd honestly been surprised to learn that Keru was also younger than her. She thought about this for a moment; this meant that every single sage practitioner in Iwagakure was actually younger than she was. This was almost a bit concerning. Would that mean she has seniority over all of them? Well, maybe not Taki herself, since Taki outranks her, but then...

She snaps out of it to realize she had started falling behind from the Jounin, and she rapidly catches up, deciding not to think too hard about things for now, and just let the pieces fall where they may. She also misses the name of Fudo when Taki is talking to herself, but she's clearly quite excited about being allowed to tag along for the first time. She was woefully unaware of any trials she might have to go through in order to train with the mighty apes, since she wasn't really particularly skilled in much of the physical combat variety; her puppets gave her some assistance in dealing more damage and tanking more hits, respectively, but her strikes were often inelegant and lacking in dexterity or speed. The gorillas might even classify her as a waste of time when it comes to training. But she'd learned enough of performing like a combatant that they may even be tricked into believing that she knows how to really fight. Her stamina at least might be enough to get her through it all.

Sogo had been lost in thought again, but at least keeping up, wondering what the apes would do when they see her. Those thoughts disappear when she can actually feel some of the strange sounds of the apes as they move deeper into the alpine forest that quickly had deepened into a jungle, like she'd stepped through some kind of dendrite doorway from their world into something else. Her blue eyes shone with wonder before the sound of footsteps brings her attention fully forwards, perhaps worried about what the gorillas might do when they see her. The blonde quickly moves behind the higher ranking escort that Taki was acting as, watching from around her to see what the gorillas do about her.

As the two of them made it to the large bamboo gates of the sage compound, Taki would call out. "Eyy yo open up I got a new one!" after a moment the gates themselves would open up and the moisture would thicken as she invited her inside and a slew of various other apes could be seen amongst the trees, in the distance there is a large house situated up onto a massively tall tree. "Hope you like trees." the girl would say, as they kept going the ruins of what looked to be another set of housing can be seen overturned in the dirt.

"Wha...I thought I told Yuki and Keru ta handle dis!" she'd scrunch her nose. "Dhose two are some pieces o woik." with that she'd move past it. "We had a bad storm come past ere and bust da place up not to lawng ago she we awl had to build our new base up top, we'll getcha a place ta rest den I'll introduce ya." as they kept moving more of the apes would be lingering in the trees looking over the new woman. Eventually they'd arrive at the base of the tree where they'd find what look to be a large well decorated plank that almost looked like a patio attached to the tree with a vine up top.

"Eyy Iwata! Pull da leva!" after a moment the vine would tighten and she and sogo would be pulled up to the top of the tree where a small red gorilla would be waiitng for them. "Taki greetings, my Yuki how you've grown!" he would say in a haught voice as he held the lever allowing them to step off. "Dis ain't Yuki...dis is Sogo...she wanted to come check da place out...where's da big guy...?" after the two were on safe ground the house now could be seen to be made up of a mixture of wood and bamaboo and looked quite homey.

"He's off there's a meeting going on with the other apes." a somber expression. "Hmph can ya tell em to stay put...I want em to meet Sogo ere..." neither of them would reveal who they were referring too, but the hushed tones implied that he was not people to be spoken of lightly. "It will be done! I shall return shortly!" the red gorilla literally nose dives off the edge as he slides down the vine.

"C'mawn make yaself at home." she'd open the door her jungle loft where inside she would find all of the usual amenities from home but far more...makeshift they worked just as well as the things at home, a couch a few chairs made of wood and fire put with a pot over it however no food, but there was however a rack of dried meats along the wall, and a few sticks to be used to start a fire. The only electronic aminity being a radio that played cassette's much like the one's that Taki carried with her.

Off to the end of one room was door that led to their rooms, with each apprentice having their own room whilst Taki's was at the far end of the hall, something Sogo wouldn't see unless she made her way over. "So what'dya think eh?"

[Souzouteki Sogo]

Sogo follows closely behind Taki as they approach the gates made of bamboo, further increasing the older Genin's curiosity when Taki suddenly yells out for someone she can't see to open the gates. She wonders if she should be yelling like that for a moment, but then the gates swing open to reveal the giant treetop home, a construction that towers above even the Tsuchikage's building, and certainly larger than the training facility that the Okada use for their own brand of practice. Her eyes and her mouth are about equally wide with surprise, but she has to shut her mouth quick as Taki is already on the move again, apparently unimpressed by her other two students and their apparent failure to clean up after some ruined construction. The explanation of the storm having caused some damage made sense, and she hoped for a moment that they hadn't lost any gorillas during that time.

She follows Taki closer to the tree village and steps on the platform, a bit surprised when it begins moving after the Jounin calls up for someone named Iwata to pull the lever. She's able to keep her footing, but Sogo gulps as she watches the earth pull away, or rather she rises above the earth. Being airborne wasn't exactly terribly common for most Iwagakure Shinobi, so this was a rather new experience of heights for her, and she blinks when she pulls her eyes from the ground, finding that looking down so far was starting to make her a little dizzy. Looking out across the jungle they'd traveled to, she felt it must have been some kind of trick, but she couldn't even see Tsuchi no Kuni anymore. It was like the jungle stretched on for miles in all directions, and she had to wonder if they were actually in the normal world anymore.

Sogo is even more surprised to see that Taki had called out to some giant orange ape to bring them both up, and the only reason she doesn't leap with fright when it talks is the fact that she's standing on a rickety platform, which she quickly steps off of and onto more stable wood. It's a lot to take in, so she barely even takes note of the fact that they're talking about somebody else, not even using his name out loud. She is at least a little upset that she was called Yuki, and she looks down at herself, wondering what exactly about her reminded the orange gorilla of a child. At least she's led to something rather similar to housing, stepping in to find a surprisingly human living space, even one with a cassette player, a rare commodity. She sits rather gingerly on the couch, not really sure if she can trust something that isn't directly seated on the earth, but feeling more than a little tired after three days of trekking through forest.

For the first time since even seeing the land where the apes roam, she finally speaks to answer Taki's question.

"Miss Ma'am, I think I'm gonna have nightmares."

"C'mon, lemme show ya around." with that girl would towards into the large facility that she had found herself in front of. "Aki! I got someone I wantcha ta meet again." as the girl shouted a small chimp would make his way towards the duo and he would look over the young woman curiously.

"Hey dere little guy, dis here is Sogo she wants ta be my apprentice." the girl would say as she introduced her to the small ape that was short than her shin, he would attempt to crawl his way up the girls body and perch himself on her shoulder.

"Whoa dere little guy...let her get ta know ya foist." the girl would say as she watched him look the girl over wondering if it was okay for him to try and perch himself atop of her. "Go awn he's friendly he likes to climb people he just wants to say hi." she'd say trying to let her know he was meant no harm.
