Her exercise involves her channeling her chakra into a stone as to cause it to crack and break. An exercise that is needed to be able to mold stone for even basic jutsu.

Kin whilst here trains in the Bunshin no Jutsu, a very basic technique, and gets some emotional encouragement as she tries to impress and refines on the jutsu. After the meeting, and a promise of new clothes, Kin returns home, where she continues to perform and refine the technique over the passage of time.

Learning the fundamental basics of martial arts, she goes through her kata and immerses herself on how to utilize her body and movements to the fullest whilst also mentally assessing her many vulnerabilities.
