The Pink Blur

Hibana made her way to the Hokage building the usual pep in her step absent. She had requested a meeting with the new Hokage. She wanted to change her career path and hoped the Lord Kage would approve. She had found herself recently training and hanging around the younger generation. It had made her start to wonder if she could be a teacher, maybe even a Genin team leader. She had discovered a newfound happiness and excitement training Raika and Michi, spending a girls day with Tamiko and Shun. Her resolve was growing, at worst he could say no and still she would be able to train the Genin. She stopped looking over the large building always in awe of its splendor. Today she was dressed semi formally with a white blouse showing off her shoulders but still modest and a pair of loose fitting black shorts. Her right eye covered by a grey silk sash tied around the back of her head. Her long blonde hair dyed pink at the tip hung down to the middle of her back. She wore short heels feeling her normal running shoes would not be a good fit. Taking a deep breath she walked through the front door heading to the desk inside. "Hello, Namikaze Hibana I have a meeting with the Hokage." The receptionist gave her the directions to the Lord Kage's office before returning to work. She made her way up the stairs heading down a long corridor stopping outside. With a quick knock Hibana cracked the door open not wanting to interrupt anything important. "Lord Hokage, Sir, Namikaze Hibana here for our meeting." She poked her head inside looking around the room.

Between political incidents, meetings with the influential of Hi no Kuni, and his own existential dread, Reiashi was left little time to do the parts of being a Hokage that he actually liked. Even at the chuunin exams, the young Hokage was far to busy with once in a year meetings to support the genin who were risking life and limb for a prestigious position- which had initially been the entire reason he had come to watch the exams in the first place. Unfortunately, his mind was a constantly moving machine that refused to give rest and consistently tried to optimize it's approach to most things, which meant constant reminders of the looming threats Konoha faced.

It was for these very reasons that Reiashi, for once, was happy to be in the Hokage chair. A chuunin by the name of Hibana of the Namikaze clan was looking to expand her horizons, in this case by teaching the next generation of shinobi. In the ivory haired chuunin's eyes, there was nothing more admirable than that, even the position of Hokage paled in comparison. So to interview a potential person to carry on said tradition was a joy to the young Uzumaki.

It seemed old habits died hard, as Reiashi had already retrieved the kunoichi's paper work to review before they met. 'Eclipse Eyed Kunoichi' was certainly a unique title, although Reiashi had to admit that it was simply strange due to his lack of familiarity with the dojutsu she possessed. It was certainly interesting to say the least, although as much as Reiashi wanted to ask the Kunoichi about the strange ability, the exam itself took priority. As the blonde haired shinobi entered the office, Reiashi's signature smile would cross his face. "Welcome Hibana-sama. Take a seat, and no need to use all three titles. One will be more than enough." Hopefully a quick joke would remove potential tension- or at least soften it.
