[Jūryoku Azusaki]

    Every time he was walking into the mission office, be it for himself or for someone else, he was managing to run into the same guy, and every time he was being kept waiting longer and longer. At this point he was starting to think it was intentional, as he sat in a chair against the wall, waiting for nearly an hour at this point. Finally seeing someone coming out to give him more than a few seconds of attention, he stayed as respectful as ever despite how impatient he was at this point, and stood up as they were walking over to him.

"I'm afraid this is all we have for you today."

    Handing over a scroll that was already hanging open, Azusaki read it over, making a bit of a face more at the D rank than the mission itself. Looking up about to say something, he was cut off in mid thought.

"You are going to be taking this on with a partner. Gurē....Ri...uh...."

    Turning and pushing around some papers on his desk, he stood back up and snapped, pointing at Azu.

"Gurē Rikuto."

    Wasn't an issue taking a mission with someone else, but he didn't really talk with Rikuto much at all to be honest, only having interacted with them a bit during the academy, and rarely since. Looking around, he noticed he wasn't here however, which he assumed meant more sitting around waiting, making a face as he began rolling up the scroll. Once more, he was about to say something, as he lifted the scroll in one hand and opened his mouth, but again he was cut off.

"Here he comes now. You two go do what you need to do. Unfortunately I'm incredibly busy today. Information is on the scroll."

    Making a bit of a confused noise, Azu raised his arms, then dropped them with an exasperated sigh as the man walked off with nothing else said, disappearing into the back room. Turning around, he saw Rikuto walking in, and decided to take the initiative. 

"Hey, I'm Jūryoku Azusaki. Looks like we are pairing up for a mission today." 

    Tossing him the mission scroll, his motioned towards it and crossed his arms.

"Seems pretty straight forward. Why do you think?"

Graveyard mysteries sounded like a rather nice mission to Rikuto. He could be alone and it would be dark and quiet. Which sounded like a win-win for him well until he was told he would have a partner for this mission. This honestly peeved Rikuto off to no end to the point that he almost didn't want to do the mission, but he needed the money so he reluctantly went along with it. Hopefully, his partner wouldn't be someone too talkative or whatever so he could have a peaceful night.[break][break]

The meeting point was the mission office this time instead of where the mission would take place which sort of annoyed Rikuto also since it meant they had to travel together too well at least it meant he could keep his disguise up easily. Walking into the office he spotted a silver-haired young man around his age which meant there might have been a possibility they had classes together as academy students. Not that Rikuto would remember this because he stuck to his own. [break][break]

They would introduce themselves as Jūryoku Azusaki which honestly Rikuto wasn't going to entertain the notion of memorizing. Catching the scroll tossed to him and putting it away in his cloak he would respond grumpily, "Hopefully it will be a quiet evening for both of us." A little stern in his tone if he was honest but that's all he wanted was to have an easy mission where he could make the money needed for living expenses. To give the other boy a small amount of courtesy though he would introduce himself, "Gurē Rikuto." It was a little flat in how he said it, but at least he was willing to give his name to his partner so that was a step in the right direction for the youth. Pointing back to the door he just entered he would also ask, "Ready to go Saki?" Giving the other boy a nickname just because it was quick and easy to say.

    He didn't really remember much about this impromptu partner of his, as he remembered them keeping to themselves, and it was unlikely they remembered much of him as he tended to do the same. Though Azusaki could talk when needed to when he was in front of his students, he simply didn't like saying much otherwise unless he had good reason, but he wasn't sure how talkative Rikuto was, and just hoped he didn't have much to say. Wasn't as if he had any issue with them, or anyone for the most part, but he just didn't feel like small talk right now.

"Yeah, let's get this over with. Shouldn't take long."

    The tone used didn't really register in truth, as he walked passed and outside, looking around with a sigh. The annoyance of not being on a Genin team meant that far too often he was being called to meet at these offices, being the one grabbing the missions himself, and rarely knowing the ones he was going on these missions with. They were decent money, but in truth he was going through a very long laundry list of personal boxes checked. The Chuunin exams were announced officially for some three months from now, and while he felt he was combat ready, he had been slacking on having all the prerequisites. Finding the time wasn't exactly easy as an instructor now, either.
    
    Looking back over his shoulder, he was making sure Rikuto was at least close to following, as he didn't wait for him before leaving. The mission seemed a bit ridiculous; haunted graveyards, really? The night sky was coming in fast, and they were both being stationed there to see what they could see, but if he had to guess, it was almost guaranteed to be some sort of kids messing around and pulling pranks.
    
    Again he looked back, as his partner had yet to say anything else thus far, making it a bit hard to read them, but they didn't look much more enthusiastic about this whole situation than he was, which was an odd level of relief.

His partner didn't seem to be the energetic sort which honestly suited Rikuto quite a bit. it was almost a bit of a relief. While he didn't show it he could feel his face smiling from the luckiness he got from being paired up with such an individual. Now why couldn't they be on his genin team? his actual teammates were too energetic or jumpy for his liking so this silver-haired guy would make for a much more pleasant teammate had they been on the same team. Though now that he was thinking about it was Saki even a part of a team? He didn't remember seeing him on one before. Oh well, it wasn't important to the mission anyway so he just dropped it from his mind.[break][break]

Heading over to the graveyard Sakiw could lead the way which Rikuto was fine with as it meant he didn't have to be the impromptu leader for this mission. Much better for someone else to lead the cause for mission success after all. The two didn't even speak on the way to the graveyard though Saki would look back now and then which sorta irked Rikuto. "If you've got something to say just say it," Rikuto would snap back at Saki at his last glance back. He didn't mean it as aggressively as it may have come out he just didn't like people staring at him and that's what this felt like.

"Hm?"

    The comment caught him off guard, but it didn't immediately click as to why it was said at all. The look on his face was fairly blank as far as he thought, and he didn't think he had done anything to warrant it, so all he did at first was look again and raise his brow. It hadn't even crossed his mind that him looking back had been what triggered it, as he was so used to having to keep track of his students and some of the other genin he teamed with that the sheer habit of looking back when he was leading didn't register.

    There was nothing on his mind that was directed towards Rikuto so nothing else followed the commented, assuming he'd get another response if it was that important. By the time they reached the start of the mission, they were standing at the entrance of the graveyard where these supposed strange happenings were taking place, and he waited for his impromptu partner before clearing the threshold. Everyone was different when it came to these sorts of places, either caring little, or being so superstitious as not to enter without some sort of prayer or ritual before stepping inside.
    
"Ready to capture whatever is supposedly in there?"

What was with this guy? He didn't even respond to his statement and practically ignored him! That was just so rude! His blank stare back at him got under his skin even more than his face now held a permanent scowl to it. Yet when he turned back around he continued walking as if nothing happened and that just further ticked him off even more. Rikuto began muttering to himself, "Forget about thinking he would be a great teammate he's simply an asshole." Venting his frustrations to himself they continued to the graveyard.[break][break]

Once at the location, they would enter and the other boy would finally acknowledge Rikuto asking if he was ready to capture whatever it was that was causing a stir in this graveyard. "Whatever," Rikuto would say through gritted teeth as he shoulder-pushed the other boy out of the way and he began to wander the graveyard to see if there was anything of importance. After walking around a bit, claiming himself from his temper, he found a few gravestones that were damaged though not from natural erosion as if something attacked them. Exactly what he wasn't sure so he would look at them closer to see if he could tell what exactly it was.

    It was clear to no one but a mind reader that these two were on very different mental pages, but Azusaki wasn't exactly too bothered by it from his side of the conversation, or lack there of. Whatever issue had transpired had gone right over his head, and he chose not to pay too much attention to whatever the muttering was as he got no explanation for the outburst anyways. To be honest, it took a lot to bother him or to change his mood, and this was nothing more than a job with someone that was essentially a stranger to him anyways.

    The way he responded to his question did get a confused look and a raised eyebrow in return at the very least, as he looked back once more and stopped.

"You okay?"

    It was half of a legitimate question laced with a bit of his own annoyance, but given the lack of a response to the previous issue he didn't expect an answer here either. With a shrug, he moved on and began to look around. The shove moving passed him drew a second raised eyebrow, and a bit of a sigh but no questioning this time. Did whatever was "haunting" this place crawl into his clothes and twist his underpants to the point of making him angry? Shaking his head to clear his mind and focus on the task ahead, he took the opposite path from Rikuto, but only ended up right where he had looked, seeing the same damage, but no sign of what had damaged it.
    
"Clear damage here, but from what and why, who knows. I suggest we find somewhere to duck and watch for a bit. I very seriously doubt this is some otherworldly creature, and it's most likely just someone messing around, being disrespectful."

    Pointing out a few spots they could easily duck down or things to duck behind, he looked around just a bit more first, then shrugged. 

"A few places we can hide and watch, unless you have a different idea."

His attitude towards Azusaki hadn't gone unnoticed but it hadn't also been responded to either and that just further fueled Rikuto's annoyance. Who was this guy and why wasn't he reacting to his comments? Rikuto enjoyed hearing people's disdain or repulsion of his attitude as it fueled his ego somewhat. Not that he needed one it wasn't like he never got enough attention from the kids of the orphanage even if it was negative attention. He would need to come up with more aggressive strategies to get under this guy's skin if Rikuto was going to have fun toying with him. Just how though he was unsure of at this time.[break][break]

When Azusaki joined him at the damaged gravestones he would verbalize what Rikuto was thinking to which Rikuto would give a curt, "Yep." He wanted to say more ridiculing the man's intelligence or even sassing him up for pointing out the obvious, but he had a feeling those comments wouldn't amount to any reaction from Azusaki. When he pointed out a few hiding places where they could keep watch Rikuto had a brilliant idea to spook the other boy. So putting on a smile he would say almost too friendly, "What a wonderful idea! I'll take that spot and you take another from a different focal point." He wouldn't wait for Azusaki to agree before heading to the hiding spot he deemed for himself.

    Of all the missions he had done as of late, this certainly was one of them of all time. At least most low ranking missions were something simple he could actively do like transporting something, saving a cat from a tree, or other arbitrary things he thought were pointless. In this case it felt important on the surface, but mostly they were just going somewhere and waiting, and few things were as annoying as boring. He knew full well this wasn't anything more than maybe an animal or someone doing something to be caught in the act of doing, but deep down he hoped it was some hidden monster or something he could actively deal with.

    Sighing as he looked around, he finally found a place with a good vantage point to the areas he wanted to watch, mostly entrances and that one specific gravestone they had already taken note of. It wasn't the best of hiding spots unfortunately, not because he wasn't in fact hidden, but he had to sit very still, in a mostly uncomfortable position, and not move for who knew how long. In his mind he wanted to call out to Rikuto just to see if this was as equally boring for him as well the longer they sat, but he didn't want to end up making noise and be unlucky enough for someone to have shown up at that exact moment, and in truth his mission teammate didn't seem all that social, at least not towards him so far.
