Josuke sports medium-short length black hair in a partial spiked and tousled style, as well as thick eyebrows and chin-scruff to match. His arms, legs and chest are moderately hairy, however the rest of his body is rather smooth, only having minimal hair growing. Josuke is quite fit, primarily focusing on having well defined biceps, pectorals, abs, shoulders and back muscles, while his legs are toned but not particularly defined due to carrying such a large frame for the entirety of his teens. On his chest and back, as well as his arms are a multitude of scars from an encounter with an angry crocodile.

Socials, Training | During non life threatening situations, Josuke typically wears a white dress shirt with snap buttons, a purple necktie, a black leather belt, athletic-fit black dress pants, and brown oxford dress shoes. During the warmest part of the year, he typically wears a rainbow space-themed (moon, galaxies) linen-cotton yukata over his dress clothes, while during the coldest part of the year he wears a white cotton, flower-themed haori and a pair of dark-blue, cotton samue.

Missions, Events | During missions and special events, Josuke wears a variation of his non-combat clothing: he still dons the white snap-button dress shirt, but necktie is now a pink paisley breakaway for safety. His pants are swapped for dark brown, black, and tan cargo pants with ample pockets for storing equipment, and he wears steel-toed boots for protection against any harmful things on the ground. Additionally, he wears an armored vest over his dress shirt for extra protection as well as basic knuckle gloves to protect his hands. Finally, he wears his village headband on his forehead.

Josuke struggles to take compliments of any nature but particularly those attributing success to his high IQ, often instead stating it’s due to his hard work and intense work ethic. Whether he’s studying to improve his academic acumen, training to improve his Ninja skills, or brushing up on social matters for missions and political relations, Josuke works very hard to achieve the high achievements he does, refusing to take less than perfection in everything he does. As a result Josuke can often come off as intense or mean to his younger Genin peers, though this is far from the truth, as he cares for his peers and only wishes for them to succeed and do as well as Josuke believes they are capable of achieving.

Despite Josuke is still a teen boy and loves to hang out with his friends. Whether they’re rough housing, sparring, or just shootin‘ the shit, he adores his friends and often holds them on a high pedestal. While Josuke may not have a lot of close friends, the ones he does hang out with balance out his own strengths and insecurities, as well as being generally good people. Befitting his large stature, Josuke has an equally big friendly personality, known throughout the village for his boisterous laugh and beaming smile. Regardless if Josuke knows as individual or not, he will more often than not go out out of his way to make them feel welcome and included.

BIOGRAPHY

『Birth to 8 | 1006 to 1014』
Born on 13 April, 1006 to mother Oborozuki Rei and father Inōe Jun, Josuke had a relatively happy and simple life. He grew up with the bare minimum, both his parents being civilians with no ninja background or skills. Rei and Jun worked as a chef and a farmer, living humbly with the little they had. It wasn't until Josuke began to crawl at 5 months and to walk at 8 months that they considered their son might have some advantages neither could provide. After seeing multiple doctors, both civilian and ninja, they were told to enrich their son's life in all areas as much as possible, and if unable they could reach out to the local school or ninja academy to see if any materials could be lent. In true fashion, Josuke absorbed any and all information he was exposed to, even speaking his first word as early as 9 months old, much to his parents' surprise.

At age 3, Josuke was reading at a very basic level and even able to hold conversations one would expect from a young academy student. For a while his parents continued to expose him to music, literature, sciences, and all sorts of topics, which Josuke eagerly gobbled up, though many he did not understand. It was clear early on that Josuke was eager to learn about anything put in front of him, often to a point of obsession, having a desire to master or completely understand a topic inside and out. His parents encouraged him to enjoy play with them and his friends, but Josuke was often engrossed in all sorts of books, scrolls, and art to have any desire to be physically active. It wasn't until Josuke turned 5 and started to participate in basic schooling with many other students that he began to get picked on, much to his parents' fear. Despite this, Josuke initially seemed to be unphased by the fact he was clearly ahead of his peers and believed they were tormenting him because they were afraid of his intelligence.

At his parents request after a particular incident left Josuke with a black eye and a broken arm that he reluctantly agreed to physical activity with his parents, to which he discovered he enjoyed just as much as books. Soon he spent just as much time playing with his friends and his parents as he did reading and learning. Shortly after his 8th birthday, Josuke was tested on a variety of topics centered around ninja life and the academy, despite many of the proctors' disapproval of someone younger than the typical age minimum for Takigakure partaking. While Josuke easily took the longest of any of the recent test takers, it was out of diligence and confidence in his results as opposed to cockiness. Shocking many who believed he was too young to begin with, he was allowed to join Takigakure's academy under one condition: if at any time it became too intense, demanding, or otherwise difficult to continue, he could be excused from any repercussions with the catch that he could not test in again until he was of the proper age. Josuke agreed, as did his parents, although very hesitant to put their son in danger, they were comforted as medics would be provided in case of any injuries.

『8 to 11 | 1014 to 1017』
Being a year younger than the majority of the attending academy students, Josuke quickly became a target for even the weakest to pick on. He bided his time, never fighting back even if he was greatly injured, always coming back the next day to learn. As expected, Josuke proved to be an incredible student in the academic aspect, but when it came to applying what he had learned and knew, it struggled, which many of his classmates assumed was because he was too young to start learning about the ninja way. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year, he quickly became the champion for the young, inexperienced students, often defending them from the older bullies with moderate success. Over time Josuke became known by those he helped and protected as "Jojo", the helpful assistant, and it stuck. After graduating Josuke continued to protect the weak and young students from the bullies, never fighting back until someone was potentially put at risk for injury, at which he would respond with a swift and brutal beat down.

『12 to 15 | 1014 to 1021』
After graduating Josuke hit a growth spurt and easily towered over his older classmates from the academy, continuing his role as a protector. A newly minted Genin, he showed his headband to his parents who beamed with pride at how well he had done despite all the odds stacked against him. However, he was quickly thrust into the role of ninja hood when a civil war erupted in Iwagakure, calling upon its ally Takigakure for assistance. While Josuke remained in the "back" as support, he never saw much combat, though he did help provide tactics for those he was grouped with, and wholeheartedly supported the rebels gaining the upper hand. Shortly after the civil war, Josuke was paired with 2 other Genin on a squad and took part in a variety of missions, albeit mostly simple community service or acting as protection to local merchants. After a while, his sensei believed that Josuke was ready to participate in the Chūnin Exams, and so wanting to get praise for doing well, Josuke excitedly agreed.

『16 to 18 | 1022 to 1024』
Josuke prepared for the Exams extensively, reading every book he could find and training his body for multiple hours a day until he could throw his kusarigama around with ease. The first time around, he did well until combat was required in which he was grievously injured, and had to recover. However, during this time, Josuke didn't let up on either his studying or calisthenics, albeit at a slowed pace. Upon being fully recovered, he returned to his team, determined to prove himself. Given a second chance, Josuke did just as well on the academic portion, and lasted considerably longer when survival was required. However, when caught unaware, a grievous blow crushed his right eye, leaving him partially blinded and in great pain; despite his he did pass the exams, though his pride was bruised.

Josuke was taken to the medical ward to be treated for his wound. Initially, he feared for the worst, wondering if he would be partially blind for the rest of his life. During a moment where the ward was rather quiet, a female medic approached him and in a hushed tone told him there was an eye available, but it was of utmost importance that he always keep it hidden from the Lady of Takigakure and any of the village's enemies, and only to reveal it when his life was in absolutely danger. Josuke hesitantly agreed and underwent the surgery to have the eye properly attached. Amazed at his vision appearing more improved than it was originally, before he was given his newly minted headband to cover the eye. The medic wasn't able to provide much information beyond the name, Sharingan, and that it was believed to possess great capabilities; however, Josuke would have to do his own research to learn and master its unique power.

Based on the knowledge his was given regarding his new implant, Josuke signed up to be a gate guard, hoping it was put him safely away from the Lady's wrath.

FIGHTING STYLE

Josuke primarily observes first and acts second, always trying to glean as much information from his opponents as possible before jumping into combat. That said, he will often try to avoid close quarters if possible, using his giant standard or the bells on his wrist to cast auditory or visual genjutsu to slow down opposition. If his illusions are successful he will often work on maintaining said effects while allies get in close; however, should his illusions fail, Josuke will resort to using his weighted kusarigama to deal swift, crushing blows. Currently, he has yet to learn any aspect of Sage Mode or Senjutsu, and as such it is not included in his current fighting style.

Josuke has proven himself to be one of the most intelligent boys within his age group, having developed an impressive IQ of 180 on multiple tests. Much of his intellect is geared towards observation, deduction of situations, and combat tactics. He is very insightful of other people, allowing him to often see through a person's demeanor and try to determine what they are thinking. He is also well versed in reading into certain events and can seemingly predict situations well in advance. Josuke‘s knowledge has given him an innate ability to quickly understand the world around him, his surroundings or what happens when independent variables are entered into a certain situation. Lastly, he is well-versed in the history, strategy, and tactics of ninja warfare.

『02. "Body is a Temple" | Weighted Training (Kusarigama)』

Josuke has spent the last half-decade strengthening his body as much as his mind in order to improve his strength and speed when wielding his kusarigama, Gōtaki Kōrogi. By going through daily calisthenics while wearing leg and arm weights and pushing himself to his limit, Josuke is quite effective in swinging and controlling the direction, speed, and strength with which the kusarigama strikes a target. This translates to him being able to currently carry 225 kg (500 lbs) at a given time, the weight of his kusarigama, allowing for his strikes to splinter wood structures with ease and even crack stone with his full strength.

『03. "Stolen Vision" | Sharingan (3rd Tomoe) Implant』

Due to the unique nature of the Sharingan, Josuke is able to perceive the color (and by extension, chakra nature when applicable), as well as being granted an increased visual acuity to process information. Currently, there is a time lag between what he sees and his brain processes, and his ability to react accordingly, appearing to Josuke as if things are moving in slow motion. He is still unaccustomed to the Sharingan's effects and abilities, and as such is considered a newbie in all aspects currently. Additionally, due to the fact that Josuke is not an Uchiha by blood, the Sharingan will always cost him more to use, and will drain his reserve much quicker than a natural clan member.
