Days came and went, events were here one day and gone the next but the hands out time never stopped ticking. Sora had given his team the day off what with Suzaku still recovering from the recent chunin exams while his other two genin had been working hard to better themselves. Unfortunately that didn't mean the special jounin had a day off himself, far from it. Instead, he had agreed to help out one of Kumo's other genin with some training which he was more than happy to do but hopefully it wouldn't take up the entire day so he could get at least a bit of relaxing in.

His ward today was to be Matoi, a young girl from a clan that had a direct relationship with lightning that gave them some pretty unique abilities. She was needing help with being able to pull more from her chakra reserves which could be a tricky task but nowhere near impossible. The easiest way to achieve the desired result was exhaustion thus forcing the person to pull deep or watch as their jutsu and stamina failed them.

Sora stood in the training ground getting in some last minute stretching as he waited for the young genin to arrive. This was going to be fun.

Unsure of what the day's training would entail, she was eager to learn under Sora's guidance. Despite not knowing exactly what the special jounin had planned, she felt a surge of determination to make the most of this opportunity. Training with someone of Sora’s rank was a privilege, and she was determined to grasp every lesson this day might offer.

"Sora-sensei," Matoi greeted as she drew near, her voice carrying a mix of respect and readiness. "I'm here and prepared for whatever you have planned for us today." She adjusted her mask, ensuring it was on snugly and in no danger of being displaced, her eyes bright with the promise of new skills to master.

With a respectful nod, she added, "I hope to learn as much as I can about managing my chakra reserves, whatever the method might be. I think understanding that balance could help me improve as a kunoichi," she said, showing her eagerness not only to push her limits but also to understand the deeper aspects of being a ninja.

Having accessed the Clan's hijutsu at a rather young age, she's spent her years learning to master The Storm. She is able to transform part or the entirety of her body using the Divine Lightning Body and is able to pass through objects that are reactive to lightning. Practically the embodiment of lightning, she can use her skills to increase the speed, reactions and fighting capability significantly.

She becomes part of The Storm itself, giving her near immunity to other Raiton-based attacks. The caveat of this is she is incapable of learning any other elemental natures outside of her natural Raiton.

『Purple Lightning』

Having spent several years training her ability in using ninjutsu, specifically Raiton, few of her age has reached the level of mastery she has.

Some may call the element erratic and dangerous, but she has complete control over the bolts of energy she can create. Not only are the raiton techniques which Matoi utilizes much more powerful than standard, they're also a bright purple in color.

It wouldn't take long for the young girl to show up and her purple visage was one that Sora wouldn't forget anytime soon. "Happy to help!" The man replied with a smile as he thought about the genin's words: she was interested in more than just managing her chakra levels but also gaining a better understanding of them as well. Well that was certainly something he didn't hear from young shinobi very often. Most of them were interested in the fast track to getting stronger whether that was learning new jutsu or being able to showcase their skills in combat-oriented missions, and finding someone who cared about the theory behind what they could do was rare.

"Being able to pull out more chakra can be a little tricky since at it's core chakra can be hard to quantify, but the easiest way to think about it is comparing it to a muscle, and like a muscle chakra can be trained. Now I won't bore you with the details of weight training but to gain more muscle mass you first have to break down the existing muscle for more to grow, and that's what we're going to do with your chakra: we first have to use up what you have so we can pull out more."

It was a lot to take in and Sora silently chided himself for not being more concise in his explanation, but hopefully that last sentence would get the point across. "Now if I remember correctly the Tetsumaki can turn into lightning right? For everything we do today I want you to stay in that lightning form." The Mayonaka spoke as he created a single seal before a copy of himself would appear.

Both would walk in opposite directions of Matoi until there was about 30 meters of distance between them before taking out a small scroll and pressing a hand to it to reveal a bow and a quiver full of arrows. Normally these would have been real arrows but in trying to avoid injury he had swapped them out with rubber ones. "Use your wits, use your speed, and whatever else you need to do to avoid the arrows."

Taking aim at the girl, the true Sora would loose an arrow aimed for the genin's midsection and after a few seconds the clone would fire his as well.

The Kage Bunshin technique evenly distributes your chakra between one or more clones with form and substance.

The clones created by this technique are able to utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows, has all of their special abilities, as well as their kekkei genkai. Typically a clone's equipment doesn't retain any special abilities and the clone itself is dispersed when hit with a single attack or incapacitated, although the clone can also choose to disperse itself or be dispersed by the user.

When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained along with it's remaining chakra are passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones.

As the first arrow zipped towards her, she reacted instinctively, her body converting into a brilliant streak of violet electric energy. The arrow passed harmlessly through her shimmering form, a momentary thrill of success coursing through her as she rematerialized several meters away. The clone’s arrow was next, and Matoi was quicker this time, her form splitting into two arcs of electricity that danced around the incoming projectile.

Landing softly on the balls of her feet, Matoi couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement. This was exactly the kind of training she craved—dynamic, unpredictable, and pushing her to the limits of her abilities. She giggled softly, twirling a bit at the after-feelings of electricity co9ursing through her body.

Matoi's eyes, bright and attentive, were fixed on her sensei, an open invitation for Sora to deepen the lesson with his experience, ready to absorb every nuance of his forthcoming advice. This moment was about more than just dodging arrows; it was about mastering the very essence of her chakra, to not just become faster or more powerful, but wiser in her craft as a kunoichi.

The pinnacle of being a Tetsumaki. By using the iron rich blood within a Testumaki, the raiton stored within the body the user can quite literally transform either their whole body (organs included) or parts of the body into pure lightning. This makes physical attacks nigh on impossible to connect properly since the opponent is quite literally punching lightning.

The Tetsumaki in this form can use conductive surfaces to transfer themselves through, including but not limited to metals, water and other reactive surfaces. A bonus to this technique is the ability to move at increased speeds in straight lines (add one rank's speed plus a speed SA). The user cannot turn while using this part of the technique, so if one can match the speed or perceive it, it could easily be dodged.

As with all lightning techniques, Kami no Bodi Kaminari has a natural weakness to mokuton techniques. Fuuton techniques can expel the Tetsumaki from the form. Physical attacks from the user are also null unless using clan jutsu specifically for said attacks.

Oooh, purple lightning! It was the first time Sora had seen someone's raiton be a different color and here Matoi was turning her entire body into a violet evergarden. Her acumen with the Tetsumaki's chief ability was in full display as she blitzed through and around the arrows with ease. Good good. Part of teaching was finding out the base level of skill a student had to properly adjust the lessons. If the lessons were too tough or simple then focus would be lost so it was imperative to find the sweet spot. The wry smile coming from the genin was proof enough that this first go round had perhaps been a little too easy, and that just would not do.

"Hah, not bad! But don't make space for a new trophy just yet."

Notching another arrow, the clone would fire first this time and the true Sora a moment afterwards, but that wouldn't be all! Once the initial shots were fired the two Mayonaka would begin to rotate counter clockwise as they continued to fire off more shots, the multiple arms coming in very handy to quickly notch arrows. How would Matoi react to the increased rate of fire from ever shifting directions? Granted, whether she dodged them all or not wasn't what truly mattered more so the girl continuously staying in her lightning form to drain away at her reserves.

Watching the girl zip around in her lightning form was impressive and it was clear to see that her enemies would have a terrible time fighting her whenever that time came. Had this been a true bout Sora would have been more than a little frustrated having not gotten a single hit, but in a training session this was perfect. The more Matoi was able to dodge the more confident she would become and the longer she'd stay in her lightning form, soon enough she would begin to fatigue but they hadn't reached that part quite yet; it was time, however, to up the ante just a bit.

Giving a whistle to the clone it'd disappear in a puff of smoke before he made a short set of seals and placed his hands on the ground. The very ground around him in a 30 meter radius would soften to the point of turning into mud and as the man made five more seals a rhino made of the same substance would rise from the ground and begin to charge towards the girl. It was quick but the attack was about as straightforward as they came and while getting hit would not do any serious damage the mud creature was on the sturdy side so it definitely wouldn't feel good.

DESCRIPTION:
Doton: Dorotsukuru is a technique that requires the user to place their palms onto an earthly substance, such as the ground or a concrete wall, forcing Doton chakra to flow into it. This allows them to manipulate it's properties, softening the earth to the point that it becomes liquefied into mud. This move can only transform up to about a 30 meter diameter with the user's palms as the starting point, and if used to change the ground terrain, the thick mud could end up becoming a field hazard that is quite difficult to walk through.

Doton: Maddohōn is a technique that causes a nearby source of mud to transform into an average-sized rhino, that begins to stampede forth and ram into an opponent, leaving behind a trail of mud in it's wake. The rhino travels in a straight line and will turn back into a pile of mud after 20 meters. Due to being made of mud, the rhino will only deal enough damage to bruise and/or knock the opponent back a few meters; but once it has successfully struck something, it will begin to solidify and become rock hard, which could leave the opponent partially or fully incapacitated.

With a spirited grin, Matoi welcomed the new challenge. The mud, while an obstacle, presented an exciting new terrain to conquer. As the rhino barreled forward, she sprang into action, her body transforming into a brilliant streak of violet electricity. The mud splashed upwards as she moved, her form shifting just in time to let the rhino pass harmlessly through, streaking away from its path.

Reforming several meters away, Matoi checked her fatigue levels, feeling a little bit of strain, but overall finding them still robust enough for continued training. The constant transformation was a rigorous test, but it was precisely what she thrived on. This exercise wasn't just about dodging—it was a profound lesson in managing and sustaining her energy under pressure.

Lightly panting but with her energy still high, Matoi faced Sora with a determined grin. "What's next, Sora-sensei?" she asked, her tone full of readiness and excitement for the next challenge.

With its physical and tactical demands, this training session was shaping up to be exactly what she needed to push her limits. What Sora planned to introduce next and how Matoi would respond to the escalating challenges could reveal much about her capacity for growth. A telegraphed attack for sure but still one that needed to be dealt with all the same, and as she had done before Matoi was able to let the rhino phase through her lightning form with relative ease. But all wasn't lost in Sora's eyes as he had managed to alter the terrain to one that would make regular movement more difficult. Granted, in her lightning form it meant little to nothing but as the training session continued and the genin found it more difficult to maintain the embodiment it would no doubt come into play. Alas, that would not be the only trick the special jounin had up his many sleeves.

Hearing Matoi inquire as to the next part of their training made the man wish his own genin were as enthusiastic about training. Takame was a bird in the mud, Suzaku's confidence or lack there of made it difficult for him to concentrate and for the Jokyu twin his sole motivation seemed to be only besting Takame. Still, Sora found the challenge of molding three young shinobi with wildly varying personalities a rewarding one and two of them were well on their way to becoming chunin so he must have been doing something right, yeah?

"Worry not, you'll find out shortly." He replies while focusing chakra to his feet, the layer of energy preventing the liquified earth from hampering his movement as he began to close in on the genin. With about fifteen or so meters between them the man would perform a set of seals with his upper pair of arms as chakra began to knead in his mouth. Taking aim at Matoi, Sora would spit out about ten spiderwebs aiming to try and trap the girl though even if they missed they'd become sticky traps around the immediate area.

A slightly more advanced version of the Tree Climbing Skill, this technique allows a shinobi to walk on water as if it were a solid surface. What makes this so difficult is a very precise amount of chakra ust be applied, as balance is harder to maintain on a not so tangible and even moving surface.

DESCRIPTION:
Kumosouka is a Ninjutsu technique that can only be used by descendants of the Mayonaka Clan. Kumosouka is very similar to Kumoshibari no Jutsu, however in this technique, the user fires a lot more webs than in the other Jutsu. After gathering their spider thread into their mouth, the users will spit a plethora of net-like cobwebs at their target. These nets will fly through the air and if they touch the opponent, they will stick and bind the ninja to any nearby surface. In addition to that with this Jutsu, the user can follow up binding the opponent with binding their body parts, such as their hands to ensure that they cannot use Jutsu which require hand seals.

She watched as Sora's upper arms flashed into a sequence of seals, preparing for whatever his following technique may be. And as she saw him knead something in his mouth, she recognized the precursor to a new kind of attack - one that might require more than quick movements to evade.

The spiderwebs shot towards her, a net designed to trap and immobilize. Matoi's instincts surged, her body buzzing with the electric energy of her clan's gift. She darted forward, transforming into lightning, splitting and weaving through the gaps between the sticky strands. The webs were a clever trap, turning the area into a hazardous zone where every step could be a misstep. On top of the softened mud, it made the ground beneath her practically unusable.

This wasn't just about evading, but also about maintaining awareness and control in an environment where one wrong move could mean entanglement or maybe even a twisted ankle. The realization deepened her appreciation for the nuances of ninja combat, where physical prowess had to be matched with strategic thinking and situational awareness. Thankfully, her lightning form allowed her to bypass the sticky traps easily and she zipped through them until she found solid ground once again.

Alighting safely a short distance from the mud and webs, Matoi reformed. Her breath was slightly heavier now, and her chakra reserves were lower, but her spirit was undiminished. "This is tough," she called out, her voice carrying both fatigue and excitement, "but it’s fun!" The challenge of keeping up her lightning form was growing, yet she felt an exhilarating rush from the trial, knowing each moment brought her closer to mastering her abilities.

She poised herself, ready for whatever the next trial was, her eyes scanning the terrain for more traps or incoming techniques. Whatever came next, Matoi was ready, her determination as palpable as the electric crackle that occasionally sparked from her fingertips.

With a press of a button located beneath the hilt, Rakurai is able to separate its segments and turn into a five foot long bladed whip. It is able to be maneuvered just as a normal whip would be. And with another press of the button, the whip is able to retract back into its dagger form.

The pinnacle of being a Tetsumaki. By using the iron rich blood within a Testumaki, the raiton stored within the body the user can quite literally transform either their whole body (organs included) or parts of the body into pure lightning. This makes physical attacks nigh on impossible to connect properly since the opponent is quite literally punching lightning.

The Tetsumaki in this form can use conductive surfaces to transfer themselves through, including but not limited to metals, water and other reactive surfaces. A bonus to this technique is the ability to move at increased speeds in straight lines (add one rank's speed plus a speed SA). The user cannot turn while using this part of the technique, so if one can match the speed or perceive it, it could easily be dodged.

As with all lightning techniques, Kami no Bodi Kaminari has a natural weakness to mokuton techniques. Fuuton techniques can expel the Tetsumaki from the form. Physical attacks from the user are also null unless using clan jutsu specifically for said attacks.

Having accessed the Clan's hijutsu at a rather young age, she's spent her years learning to master The Storm. She is able to transform part or the entirety of her body using the Divine Lightning Body and is able to pass through objects that are reactive to lightning. Practically the embodiment of lightning, she can use her skills to increase the speed, reactions and fighting capability significantly.

She becomes part of The Storm itself, giving her near immunity to other Raiton-based attacks. The caveat of this is she is incapable of learning any other elemental natures outside of her natural Raiton.

Having spent several years training her ability in using ninjutsu, specifically Raiton, few of her age has reached the level of mastery she has.

Some may call the element erratic and dangerous, but she has complete control over the bolts of energy she can create. Not only are the raiton techniques which Matoi utilizes much more powerful than standard, they're also a bright purple in color.

A series of deft movements later left Matoi free from both the sticky webbing and the parts of the training ground that had turned into a muddy mess, impressive. She had so far been able to evade everything that had been thrown, shot, and charged her way with relative ease while maintaining her lighting form just as instructed. It was clear that the genin had developed more than an adept attunement to the element, perhaps not a mastery just yet, but she was well on her way. Kumo's next generation was really going to be something else.

There'd be time to gaze upon the future later as there was still a bunch of chakra that needed to be used up and Sora was oh so happy to oblige. He'd begin to knead webbing in his mouth before spitting out two miniature versions of himself onto the ground and performing a set of seals that would give them life and size, growing into exact replicas of the man they came from. They were very much real clones but with a bit of a twist that Matoi would soon come face to face with.

Taking sight of the girl, the two clones would zip in towards her --one from the left while the other lagged behind a bit from the right-- and once the clone on the left got in close the true Sora would perform a single seal to make it revert back into the sticky webbing aiming to trap the girl. But Matoi wouldn't let herself be caught so easily, right? The second clone would wait to see where the girl zipped off to before heading in that direction and once it was close would also explode into a net of sticky webbing.

NAME: Sou Bunshin no Jutsu [Cobweb Clone Technique]

DESCRIPTION:
To utilize this Jutsu, a descendant will regurgitate some sticky spider web from his or her mouthin the shpae of whomever they want the clone to mimic, usually themselves. The user will then set the clone down and preform the hand seals which will give the miniature form life and color. It will also grow to the same size as the person it’s mimicking. This clone will hold the will of the user, as do most other clones. A Sou Bunshin functions very similar to a shadow clone in that the range of use is not so small however there is one very notable difference. When this clone is damaged, instead of poofing away the way normal shadow clones do, it reverts back to sticky string which can bind a nearby opponent. The user of the Ninjutsu can also make it disperse away after an opponent is in range of the binding.

She quickly put together the fact that these clones differed from normal ones. How? She wasn’t sure, but it couldn’t be good for her to let them close enough to find out.

As the first clone closed in, she pulsed with electrical energy, her body shimmering into her lightning form just as the clone transformed into a web. The sticky threads passed her as she zipped away from the mud, clinging to the ground where she had been moments before.

Not missing a beat, she redirected her attention to the second clone. She couldn't keep dodging forever; her chakra was draining, and she knew she had to maintain her form for as long as possible to succeed in this training. As the second clone approached, Matoi prepared herself.

The clone exploded into another net of webbing, and Matoi, pushing her chakra to its limits, was enveloped in violet electrical energy. The webbing burned away before it could even touch her as she zipped directly through the web. Each move was becoming more challenging to execute as her reserves dwindled. Using her raiton armor probably wasn’t the best move in terms of conserving energy, but it had worked...right?

Landing lightly, her legs shaking from pushing herself, Matoi faced Sora. She was panting now, the continuous exertion taking its toll, but her expression was of fierce determination and joy. She paused, steadying herself as she felt the familiar buzz of electricity through her veins. Her gaze was fixed on her sensei, ready for more instructions.

[attr="class","lightbluetext"]Raiton Chakura Mōdo: Sutēji Ichi [Lightning Release Chakra Mode: Stage One]

The user wraps their body in a cloak of Raiton though not used offensively, the cloak is used to stimulate the users nervous system. Speeding up neural synapses to react faster, as well as pushing the users body to its absolute limit, allowing for tremendous raw speed, a speed which makes even a one tomoe Sharingan user confused as to the user's whereabouts. The increase in speed comes with a great level of fatigue attached with it making this a jutsu best suited to be used when needed and not spammed throughout the entirety of a fight (though it can be used that way its highly dangerous). It is effectively an armor that surrounds the user allowing them to brush off and B-rank and below Raiton techniques and also C-rank and lower Physical attacks.

This jutsu improves on the basis of the Lighting Release Body Flicker and makes it a more longer lasting affect (2 rounds) with more more refined increases. But also much more costly price as over use in one fight could overexert the user causing the body to shut down in due to crippling pain.

Acts as an elongated Shunshin technique. The user can move at shunshin speeds with the above benefits for 2 rounds with one High usage of Chakra. This can be used four times total during a thread, each time tiring out the body of the user. After the fourth time, their muscles are completely deteriorated.

Note: Without the proper SAs, just like Chidori, the extreme speed would only be for straight lines, without curving, and giving a form of tunnel vision.

Sora watched as the young genin responded to the new challenge well, not only evading the webbing but using her lightning form to burn through it as well; it was indeed a formidable ability. Even though the girl was tiring she had perseverance enough to keep pushing herself which would ultimately benefit her in the long run, probably without even realizing as her skills in other areas grew as well. That was the funny thing about all this ninja stuff: everything built upon each other and before you knew it the distance one could run was greater, the number of jutsu they could do was greater, or in Matoi's case she'd probably be able to hold her lightning form even longer.

There'd be time to wax poetic later as there was still training to be done! The bottom pair of Sora's arms would cross as a hand from his top most pair rubbed his chin in contemplation. He had thrown weapons, clones, and rhinos made out of mud at the girl yet she dip, ducked, and dodged out of them all. Even his tricky efforts hadn't done too much to make Matoi sweat --other than the chakra she was using up-- but there was a common denominator for everything he had done: it was all pretty straightforward. Granted, the purpose of their training wasn't to injure or take focus away from the goal of pushing one's limitations with chakra but that didn't mean Sora couldn't have a bit of fun.

"Alright, I think it's about time we turn it up a notch!" Sora spoke as he took a hard step towards Matoi but instead of closing the distance numerous after images of the man would begin to appear around the area looking as if they were all moving at top speed. The true Sora, however, had quickly moved to the left while working on a set of seals and once more numerous sticky webs would be shot out aimed at the genin. How would she deal with the illusions and the incoming attack?

After stamping one's foot, the user will cast a Genjutsu upon their opponent where it will appear as if they can move at speeds that match those who use the Eight Gates. Countless after images will begin to move about them, the user seemingly moving about in such a fashion that the opponents eyes simply cannot keep up, when in truth the user is completely unseen. It can be seen through by those who use Doujutsu.

[attr="class","lightbluetext"]Matoi’s heart raced as the field around her became a blur of motion, Sora’s afterimages filling her vision, creating a disorienting spectacle. Well, guess the older man could move fast too. Her head swam as she tried to keep up with each one, but that only made her slightly nauseous. She took a deep breath, focusing her mind amid the chaos.

Her eyes darted around, trying to pinpoint the real Sora among the illusions. Each afterimage seemed to move with purpose, but none of them came directly towards her. Everything was moving, but it was around, away. Well, the special jounin wasn’t the only one who could move fast.

As the sticky webs flew towards her breaking through the illusions, Matoi's reaction was swift. The chakra cloak formed around her body crackled in a vibrant display of violet electricity, and she lunged forward, letting the raiton burn through webs as she headed directly towards the supposed origin of the trap. The energy expenditure was significant, but she deemed it necessary.

Landing again, almost directly in front of the real Sora (what she assumed was the real Sora, could be another illusion for all she was able to tell), she felt the drain on her chakra more acutely than before, her breath heavier and her movements slightly slower. Yet, she couldn’t help but smile at the intensity of the training.

Matoi's stance remained guarded, her eyes sharp as she prepared for whatever came next, her body still humming with the remnants of her electric shroud as she let it naturally dissapate. She was ready, her fatigue held at bay by her fervent desire to improve and succeed.

Speed, or the illusion of it anyway, provided Sora the opening and opportunity he was looking for to try and catch Matoi off guard, though the webbing flying in didn't have the luxury of being hidden like himself which gave the genin enough of a head start to react; perhaps the Mayonaka should have made his illusions use the technique as well to really drive home the confusion... notes for the future. In the present, however, he'd watch as Matoi burned through another set of webbing as she sped towards his direction almost if she knew where the true Sora was standing. It didn't take a lot of brain power to assume that the direction the attacks were coming from was probably the location of the user.

The special jounin would not move from his spot as Matoi stopped in front of him, instead only ending the genjutsu so that the quickly moving copies of himself would fade from the girls view. It was clear she had used up a considerable amount of energy throughout the training exercise given how hard she was breathing but the look on her face showed the determination and resolve she had been giving this entire time was still there. Good.

"It's clear you've done a considerable amount of training with that ability and I have no doubt you'll be a considerable force on the battlefield when the time comes. Being able to keep up the lightning form while dealing with a myriad of situations is commendable, and while you might feel like you can keep going I assure you the fatigue will catch up with you soon enough so we'll stop here for today." Sora spoke.

"I would say if you need any help with raiton then let me know, but you are probably more proficient with it than me." He added with a laugh. "Still, if there's anything I can do to help you out in the future do not hesitate to ask."
