The early morning mist clung to the rooftops, weaving through the streets like a silent specter. As a skilled kunoichi of the village, she was no stranger to assignments, but today's request came directly from the Raikage herself adding an extra layer of gravity to her steps.

Her mission was clear yet intriguing; she was to meet a girl, someone she had never met before, and demonstrate the nuances of raiton jutsu. Matoi adjusted the ninja tools in her belt, mentally reviewing the techniques she planned to showcase. Raiton, the art of lightning, was her specialty, and she was eager to pass on her knowledge.

As she arrived at the training grounds, the sun began to pierce through the mist, casting long shadows across the well-worn earth. The place was silent except for the rustle of leaves and the distant call of a hawk. Matoi scanned the area, searching for any sign of the girl she was supposed to meet. She wondered what kind of person she would be. Would she be eager and ambitious, or reserved and meticulous?

Finding a suitable spot near an ancient tree, Matoi decided to warm up while she waited. She moved through her katas with practiced ease, each movement sharp and precise, her focus absolute as she summoned small sparks of violet electricity to dance along her fingertips.

The stage was set, the invitation open. The day's story was yet to be written, and Matoi was ready to lead the way.

With a press of a button located beneath the hilt, Rakurai is able to separate its segments and turn into a five foot long bladed whip. It is able to be maneuvered just as a normal whip would be. And with another press of the button, the whip is able to retract back into its dagger form.

Having accessed the Clan's hijutsu at a rather young age, she's spent her years learning to master The Storm. She is able to transform part or the entirety of her body using the Divine Lightning Body and is able to pass through objects that are reactive to lightning. Practically the embodiment of lightning, she can use her skills to increase the speed, reactions and fighting capability significantly.

She becomes part of The Storm itself, giving her near immunity to other Raiton-based attacks. The caveat of this is she is incapable of learning any other elemental natures outside of her natural Raiton.

『Purple Lightning』

Having spent several years training her ability in using ninjutsu, specifically Raiton, few of her age has reached the level of mastery she has.

Some may call the element erratic and dangerous, but she has complete control over the bolts of energy she can create. Not only are the raiton techniques which Matoi utilizes much more powerful than standard, they're also a bright purple in color.

Having gone on a binge recently to finally solve one of the last two elements that was alluding her Yakitsukeru had inquired Kizumi for lessons. She was, after all, Yakitsukeru's current teacher, but that meant nothing when your teacher was a meat head who didn't comprehend the actual science between how to do something. It was through logic, and not intuition, that one could unlock the world around them. Yet, here was a country with someone who drank more then she read... the vipress decided in that snap that she would start swapping out Kizumi's liquor for water. Nothing like revenge through deprivation of one's worst vice, quite cruel given how deep Kizumi could drink. Having been instructed to the training grounds on the day though she had long arrived ahead of necessity. She had been given a name, but frankly no description of who she was meant to look for, so that lead her to simply wait in silence for the stranger to appear, it was not like the place was devoid of anyone after all. Scrolling through her current notes to the guide of chakra manipulation that she had written thus far. The first three sections were complete with her findings, Fire, Water, and Earth. Logging in the markings for this new entry Yaki would finish her simple writing to look around one more time. A gloomy red gaze scanning the yard before reaching a genin practicing the basic kata of some form. The strange purple sparks catching her eyes most of all. She needed no further invitation as she made her way over, eyes following the weapons motions the entire time, "Utagawa-Sssan I take it? Tateyama." Entry Fifteen: Today's notes can be accredited to a Utagawa Matoi, who assisted through live demonstration of skill in Raiton. The basic properties of the element, its strengths, and a peculiar alteration to the visible light range of raiton. She studied Yaki for a moment, noting the precision behind her gaze. It was clear that this girl was someone who valued knowledge and understanding, maybe even over the raw power of the techniques themselves. It was interesting to the Kumo genin.

"So you wanted to learn about raiton," Matoi began, gesturing towards the open area around them. "It's a powerful element, one that can be particularly unpredictable if mishandled. I'm curious, Tateyama-san, how would you prefer to approach the new techniques? Through demonstration and repetition, or would you rather discuss the concepts and science behind the jutsu first?"

Her question was open-ended, allowing Yaki to set the tone for their session.
