"Hmm, hmm...” the cricket said somewhat absentmindedly to Kaoru's admission of not being the one who had summoned him before. It didn't seem to matter to the giant bug any way. The question as to whether the cricket was responsible for the 'cursedness' of the armor was met with a blank stare, though with the lack of notable muscles on the face of a giant bug, it would be difficult to know what the insect was thinking. The second set of questions got a more comprehensive response. "I'll answer your last question first, as I think that's more important,” the bug replied. "I like being chill and doing chill stuff,” whatever an insect's definition of 'chill' was, "but I can throw hands if you want trouble... or legs, in my case. Not feeling up for it, though.” The cricket paused to tend to one of his antennae. "As to who set me up for this game, it was some guy called Kaba--”"Kaba! That miserable snake!" the old man interjected. "He was the first person to whom I sold the armor, and the first person to report it cursed. He'd been rather displeased about the price I had placed on it, so it seems he must have put in the insect curse thing, so that I would probably throw the armor away or something, and he could claim it!" The cricket sighed. "Yeah well, seems everyone likes him these days. Personally, I think I'm done working for him. He doesn't give me snacks, and only summons me at night to play alone inside that box of metal.” 'Box of metal' being the armor. It would appear that the seal-inscribed resin allowed the cricket to be summoned from a remote location. Zura chuckled. "So that's what the fuss was all about, huh? Some cheapskate wants the armor, and decides to play a prank on ol' geezer here, to hoodwink him into losing it or something. Seems this village has its fair share of pinchpennies.” The old man huffed, but seemed too pleased that his problem was solved to focus on Zura. The cricket, for his part, turned to the taller Genin. "Yeah, so you have any snacks or something on you?” Silence. "Eh, guess it isn't only the folk in this village who are cheapskates.” And with another plume of smoke, it was gone. "Stupid trashy cockroach,” Zura muttered. "I guess we can round up and get out of here. The armor shouldn't give you any more issues, old man. You should be able to sell it good, now.”Tokonatsu Kaoru
