Kyoko was used to doing things alone most of the time and despite having the bond she had with her brother she never went to him for help. Rather she did things on her own most of the time as she felt it was a sign of weakness if she relied on others too much. This was her biggest flaw and honestly, it was something she was trying to get better at rectifying, but it was difficult to break habits. Even now she didn't want to go and ask for help with training, but here she was showing up to a tea shop she had heard he frequented. [break][break]

Entering the establishment she would find the main room for the tea ceremony coming to a close. That was good that meant all Kyoko had to do was wait till Kumori left the ceremony so she could confront him. Since it was something she needed from him she wouldn't interrupt the ceremony and simply would wait outside the tea house for the older gentlemen to dismiss himself from the tea house. [break][break]

Once he was outside Kyoko would approach him and give him a bow in respect, since he was a council member she knew she needed to show him respect for the high position he held in Kirigakure. "My apologies for interrupting you Shouki-sama, but I would like to discuss something with you if you would permit it." Kyoko would say almost rehearsed trying her best to give the older gentleman the utmost respect she could give him.

Old people stuff really took its time, funny enough. You’d think that people like Kumori reaching the end of his time on Earth would be a bit hastier, but why even bother? He didn’t even know when he’d die… so what difference would it make?

These tea ceremonies reminded him of that. Such fickle, fragile cutlery. A room where neither strength nor wit played any role whatsoever – only the fragile touch of the elderly and those with manners to lead the ceremony through. And don’t get him started on the tea – sweet or bitter, from mint leaves or churned roots, they had an impressive collection of flavors, corns and produces.

But to be completely honest… he didn’t actually frequent this place for the tea. He came here for the irresistible collection of sweets that were handed out each time. Biscuits, dumplings, or hard small discs of chocolate always took him back to his past, where sweets were one of the few things keeping his bloodied mind in check overseas.

… A Yamaguchi bowed to him out of nowhere. Those stark-red eyes, a slim physiology, those were dead giveaways – and Kumori prided himself in being able to recognize all of his townsfolk… at least their association. He didn’t know her name, but she knew his clan’s. And being hailed as he was among his own clansmen – an exemplary Shouki who’d stood the test of time over and over again – he was almost synonymous with the clan now.

"Mhm…” he hummed, just for a brief moment before handing her a biscuit, "Continue.”
