"Hi! I'm Uchiha Miroru! Is Kaneda-kun available?"

On the steps of the Nara clan complex, Miroru makes a proper introduction of herself, rather than what would usually be a scandalous invasion by air (a fate more frequently suffered by the Senju and Yamanaka compounds) in an effort to present a bit more professional than that. Well aware that her petite build doesn't do her any favors when trying to act in her position as a Chuunin and amateur tutor.

While the gate guard sends word to Kaneda, Miroru sits on one of the retaining walls outside, kicking her feet idly as she waits for the arrival of the academy student Kazuto sent her to tutor. It was an increasingly public fact that Miroru had a blast finding interesting ways to tutor the genin and academy students and keep everything engaging- in fact, two of her most recent students, Ataru and Raika, had already passed their Chuunin exams.

That said, reputation only counted for so much, and she had absolutely no idea Kazuto had, perhaps deliberately, neglected to mention Miroru's age when setting up this training session with Kaneda.

"Just don't give up on me! We can figure this out!"

"Kaneda!" The young man's mother called up the stairs to him, "There's a girl at the gate for you, dear!"

Coming down the stairs, hands shoved idly in his pockets, Kaneda turned to his mother with a quizical expression.

"What?" He questioned, almost unsure of how exaclty to respond.

"I don't know, she said her name was Miroru and that she was looking for you." The dark haired woman said with a small shrug.

"Oh, Kazuto Sensei sent her. Thanks." Kaneda said before venturing back upstairs to grab his belongings and head out the door.

With his hand wrapped around the strap of his backpack, Kaneda couldn't help but grin as he thought about what exactly todays training was going to look like. Kazuto had told him the day prior that he was going to send one of his previous students to help the Sarutobi train, saying nothing more than "It would be good for him." Admittedly, he was excited by the thought of learning from another student of his sensei. Though Kazuto was an incredible teacher, likely too humble to admit even that much, the Senju knew that he was not the best teacher for ever subject that would make up a ninja's training. As such, Kaneda was more than eager to learn about what sort of specialties this "Miroru" had that would make their lesson so worth it.

As he approached the gate, Kaneda spoke to one of the Nara who stood watch at the entrance of the compound who, shortly there after, pointed to a little girl, kicking her feet as she seemed to be waiting patiently for someone.

Kaneda raised his brow as he approached the little red haired girl, looking somewhat deflated as he drew closer.

"Uhh..." He started, seeming a bit unsure of himself. "You're not Miroru, are you?" He asked the girl, a part of him desperately hoping that this was some sort of prank, like she was using the henge technique to make herself look like a tween, or that this girl was perhaps a genin who was training with the real Miroru.

Miroru turned as she was addressed and froze, dragging her eyes up Kaneda's form. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww crumbs. It was Ryouta all over again. "Kaaaaaaaneda-san, I presume..?" She twisted round and hopped off the retaining wall, dropping to the ground with practiced ease that at lease vaguely hinted at general competence. "I'm starting to think it's a running joke to not tell anyone I'm working with how old I am... er. How old I'm not, I suppose." She laced her hands behind her head, though, and studied Kaneda more critically.

"I can see you're in good shape, especially for a student, but I notice your callouses are on your knuckles, not your palms. Taijutsu user? A nin specialist- which isn't really a thing in the academy- wouldn't have many callouses on their hands, and buki specs have palms."

She pondered a moment longer, then asked simply, "So can I take it that you're still working on the Academy jutsus? You've got the build and, apparently, the general practice to at least start as a genin, so that seems the most likely roadblock. Did I get that right?"

"Just don't give up on me! We can figure this out!"

"Uhhm..."

Immediately Kaneda felt taken off guard by the girls quick assessment of him and his skills.

"Yeah... Taijutsu, mostly. Ninjutsu I'm getting better at, but, uhh... The henge technique I'm kinda struggling with."

Kaneda admitted, a small smirk crossing over his expression as he was actually starting to feel a bit better about the situation. It was one thing to be shown up by the 10 or 12 year olds in the academy with him, where some of them seemed to have no troubles learning the academy techniques, but while she may have been on the younger side, Miroru was a chuunin, according to Kazuto. She had experience he needed, and experience he couldn't get until he got his way out of the academy.

"Forgive me if I may have, at first, seemed a bit let down. If Kazuto says you've got the goods, well, then I'm here to learn." Kaneda said, ready to let Miroru take the lead before their days training really began.

After a little pause, however, Kaneda turned his attention down toward his hands, looking at the callouses on his knuckles before flipping them over to look at his palms.

'I have callouses on my palms...' He thought to himself, pridefully proving the girl wrong with at least one aspect of her observations.
