Kaneda took in a deep breath as he made his approach to the Senju compound. It was something he had done more than enough times by now, working as much with Kazuto as he had been the past few weeks, but todays agenda had something a little bit different on the record.

Getting to know the leader of the Senju was an incredible experience in more ways than one. He was patient, yet stern, practiced, and all in all seemed to be the perfect sensei for Kaneda. As they grew to know each other better, though, it wouldn't come as much of a surprise to find out the two had engaged in more talk about their personal lives as their relationship grew. Kaneda had told him about his father, how he passed away when he was still young, and that being the catalyst to why he had been forbidden from entering the academy at the "normal" age. He told him about his likes and dislikes, some hobbies, and some other general quirks about himself. Kazuto, in turn, would share similar insight into his own life. About his siblings, his upbringing, his struggles and strife as a young shinobi. But, Kazuto also shared the good in his life. His former students, his wife, his kids...

And that, as a matter of fact, was what lead Kaneda to his task today. Kazuto's wife, Miho, as it turned out, was quite the skilled Taijutsu and medical specialist. Kaneda himself considered Taijutsu to be his strongest asset, while he knew his chakra control was currently the wall he was trying to climb. If Miho was a medical specialist herself, than it stood to reason that her own chakra control had to be pin point accurate on all fronts, and that was something Kaneda wanted to gain for himself. He knew he wasn't born with the bottomless chakra pools like the Uzumaki or some of his peers, so if he wanted to see himself succeed with Ninjutsu and eventually learn the Nara Hijutsu from his grandfather, then he too would need to have an unshakable control over his chakra.

So, with that in mind, Kaneda had soon found himself at the door to Kazuto's estate. With a deep breath, Kaneda did his best to steel his nerves and calm himself, knocking at the door to ask for help.

Miho had managed to gain some semblance of silence for the day in like of the twins being with their grandparents that afternoon. It was a nice change, but she did question what to do with herself when she wasn't in the hospital or taking care of them. Kazuto was grown, but did at moments need assurance at times, yet there was little to worry over when it came to his needs. As such, when she did find she had the estate to herself, she'd often find herself getting lost within it. With so much space, often to rooms that were unoccupied or simply gathering space, wandering the halls became a bit of a practice point for her in collecting her thoughts if she wasn't at least trying to clean them. Especially as Kazuto could become a bit of a hoarder with his hobbies. Though that did not make her at least partially responsible for inclusions to his collection, as she did secretly try her hand at the same type of artform as to attempt at seeing his joy in it. But it still had much to be desired in terms of perfection. Wiping her brow, she'd lower the small knife and look to her attempt at a figurine and sigh as it's misshaped head and torso made it appear as though they were standing on one leg. "Perhaps I should simply stick to gardening..." Closing her eyes, she'd hear the knock on the door as she made her way towards it, placing the object down upon the workshop table as she cleared the hall in a few moments. Though in answering it, she'd find it surprising to see the Sarutobi standing outside of it. "Hello Kaneda..." Being as she worked within the hospital, it was no shock that she would at least know most of the faces that lived within the village. His was no different, but it wasn't to say that she was familiar with him save for his medical record. Kazuto had mentioned their recent connection, which was often the case when it came to her husband, as he was often inclined to help those that he saw were in need. The two were only a year apart, which made it all the more strange that they had not seen each other more so. But then, considering her own distance much in her youth, she couldn't say that she was all that friendly back then. Not to mention that her travels had taken her a bit further out than most. "Is everything okay?" With a blank expression, she'd then tilt her head to the side as she looked at the young man with a concerned look on her face as she examined him. He appeared fine physically, though there was often more than one reason why most people would come to their doorway. Though often, those matters were meant for Kazuto. In some causes, she can come up with various versions of these jutsus, improving upon them to make them just as effective when on the field.

"Miho-sama," Kaneda said as the woman opened the door to greet him. He would politely bow his head for a quick moment before taking in another sharp breath and getting to the point as to him standing on her doorstep.

"Y-yes, everything is fine, thank you. I was actually hoping to speak with you, if you're not too busy. Do you mind if we step inside a moment?"

Assuming Miho would allow him to enter the Senju's home, Kaneda would step inside and slip his shoes off by the door before following the woman into their den, otherwise, he would simply continue by the entry way.

"So, I have been training with Kazuto for a while now, as I'm sure you already know, and my graduation from the academy is coming up soon. I-I know I'm a bit older than the typical academy student, but I guess that's a conversation for another time." He said with a slight nervous chuckle. "A-anyway... I uhm. Kazuto has told me a little bit about you during some of our time together, and I was thinking, err, hoping, I guess, that you might be able to help me."

Kaneda paused a moment, once more trying to relax despite the clear nervousness that he was feeling. He was a prideful man, so naturally asking for help didn't exactly come easy to him. But, during his time in the academy, Kaneda had been humbled time and time again by receiving help for his shortcomings from an often unlikely source. Though he still had something of a chip on his shoulder, it had become clear in his life that asking for help was, while no easy task for him, a necessary step if he wanted to see his strengths grow. He himself had always had the outlook of 'When a friend asks for help, you help them,' and he had hoped that perhaps Miho would share the same perspective.

"You see, lately, I have felt a bit stunted in my ability to mold and manipulate my chakra. Coming from the Nara clan, I had made the simple and poor assumption that chakra manipulation would just come naturally to me, but I've had more than enough experience to see otherwise. Kazuto has been helping me with the leaf exercise, you know, holding a leaf between your hands to make it move with chakra alone... And I am just really not good at it." Kaneda laughed at himself again.

"I know as a medical specialist, your chakra control has probably grown to be far more masterful than what most might grow into, so... Well, I was hoping you might be able to help give me a push in the right direction?"

"Oh...well...yes...come inside..." Upon having Kaneda enter, she'd move ahead of him as she nodded her head toward the living room as he began to explain his reasoning for being here. Which, surprisingly enough, did not have anything directly to do with Kazuto. As she sat within the den, allowing the Sarutobi to speak, she'd blink for a moment as he was clearly having some trouble in expressing his desire. Of course, there was enough evidence to show that he was seeking guidance. Her hands resting on her lap, she'd continue to listen calmly, hearing his explanation as while long winded, did get to the point of his arrival here. Kazuto had been helping him learn Chakra Control, and it was a bit of a challenge for the young man. While he seemed older than most, he was still considered no more than an academy student. That being the case, she had heard enough about him from Kazuto to understand that his entry into the academy had also been one of a late decision. Still, it appeared that he was coming close to graduation and Kazuto had said enough about her to give some indication that she might be able to assist him. Furthermore, he was hoping that she would do so in regards to learning the method that might aid in better molding chakra to his desire and perhaps without issue of draining himself. Something that Miho had experience in doing and also practice. There was a pause for a moment as he came to this, leading to Miho simply looking at him as she then had a small smile on her face before adjusting her posture in her seat. "I'm sensing this was a difficult thing to ask... Waiting for a moment, the young medic would then nod her head as she continued to look at him. "But of course...I would be more than happy to assist as best I can..." That said, the dark haired female would then rise up as she brushed the front of her attire with the back of her hands. "Chakra control comes with an understanding of both one's own chakra supply and that of how to use it precisely for a specific technique without wasting it. That comes with knowing the amount for each technique and ensuring that you are not wasting it...often this can be done by limiting it's usage to a singular focus point...such as with the leaf exercise...There is also another method..." Miho would then gesture for him to follow as she began to make her way out toward the garden, looking around as to seek something specific as she continued into the open. Kaneda felt anxious in the silence between the two. He swallowed lightly, feeling a slight dryness to his mouth and throat before Miho had finally spoke.

The Sarutobi blurted out a nervous laugh at her initial statement, his hand raising to the back of his head. "Asking for help is..." he started. "Not exactly something I would put on my list of strengths." He finally admitted.

Thankfully, however, it seemed that the Lady Senju would agree to helping Kaneda in his time of need. "Thank you, Miho-sama. Honestly."

He waited patiently, listening intently to Miho's words as gratitude began to settle in his skin, calming his nerves in a cool, refreshing wave. As she rose and gestured for Kaneda to follow, he would do so, following in tow out into the garden courtyard. His head moved about the yard, gaze floating over the different plants and greenery as a small grin stretched over his face.

"Alright," Kaneda started, finally turning his attention back on Miho. "Where do we begin?"

"Right here..." With a grin, Miho would gesture toward a large piece of stone that seemed to hold great size. Though it seemed small in comparison to a tree that stood beside it, showing nicks and cracks across it's surface and indication of impact and perhaps even strikes from previous attacks. As the medic moved around it, she'd then make her way back toward Kaneda with a calm expression. "As I said...Chakra control comes from the limitation of using only the amount that is required for a technique and nothing more. Often when we strike or use ninjutsu, it is an exertion of both chakra and stamina. With practice, it is possible to place the body on a regiment where one is using only the bare minimum of only what is required..." Standing beside him, Miho would then place one hand on her hip as she smiled slightly. "Often I use this stone as an indicator of the amount of chakra I use in combat. The goal for this exercise is to leave only a crack across the surface of the stone, which is no easy feat..." This was said from both experience and practice on her part as she waved her hand to the side. "It's a heavily enforced stone so it doesn't break easily, nor does it reflect damage without enough force being made against it....similar to the Leaf exercise, you have to focus on your target and apply chakra to your attacks...but only enough to create a crack...not break it..." That said, Miho would then stretch her arms upward as she relaxed herself for a moment. From there, she'd then brace herself as she moved forward toward the stone, her hand reeling back before releasing a short yet almost instant burst as her fist lunged forward. It would seem as if she barely touched the stone itself, the surface of her closed hand tapping against the surface, yet as she did, a slight mark would show a moment later, piercing the rock as she then released a slow breath as she backed away. Looking over her shoulder, she'd then smile as she nodded her head toward the academy student. "Any questions?" The Saurtobi would listen intently to Miho's words, trying to collect everything she had said into his mind to think about how to turn her words into reality.

As she spoke, Kaneda would draw his attention to the boulder in question, his eyes looking up and down the stone taking in its every detail. If she hadn't said so already, it was clearly evident that she had used the stone for her own training. After she explained the full process of the exercise, Miho would show him an example of what she was trying to teach him. Her hand would knock back before launching forward against the stone. To his eyes, it seemed as if the woman had barely even touched it, and yet, a small crack where she had made contact soon revealed itself as she took a step back.

Kaneda paused a moment as he stood in thought before taking a few steps in front of the boulder.

"I don't think so." He said, as he thought the process over and over in his head.

Taking in a deep breath, Kaneda would do his best to focus on the chakra in his body, feeling it move beneath his skin. He stood, as if meditating, before his eyes shut and he tried to visualize the process. As he let out his breath, Kaneda's eyes flashed open, a look of determination breaking over his face. He could feel the chakra ball into his fist as he cocked back his arm and took a step toward the boulder. He channeled his strength, letting out a grunt as his arm shot forward, slamming into the boulder with all his might. As his fist made contact with the stone, he pulsed his chakra through his body and into the stone as best he could, but it was soon clear there was far more to this exercise than he had anticipated.

Kaneda's hand crunched against the hard stone as he felt a spark of pain shoot through his hand and forearm, all the way up to his elbow before he recoiled his arm into his chest. He turned down to his now shaking hand, blood on the back of his knuckles before he turned to the boulder. Unfortunately, just as he should have expected, there was no evidence of his attempt other than the small smear of dark red from where he nearly broke his hand.

He let out a wince, waving his hand as he tried to clear the pain. He stretched and balled his fingers, making sure he didn't injure himself more than just the bloody knuckles. Thankfully, though, there wasn't much more than that.

Slightly disappointed, Kaneda turned his head to Miho, dropping his hand to his side.

"So... I take it this exercise has nothing to do with the physical force of your strike, does it..."

Miho would watch Kaneda's attempt, though even she had to wince at the display upon seeing the effort made and then watching as it fell short of the goal. Though in the end, it wasn't something that one could accomplish on the first try. If it were simple, such training would be capable of anyone with just brute force. As he questioned the obvious conclusion for this exercise, the dark haired female would move over toward him, looking over his hand as she gently took it into her own, inspecting it carefully as she spoke. "No...it doesn't...an exercise in strength alone is easier...you need only break through your own limitations..." In seeing no real harm done, she'd then allow his hand to be free of her touch, looking toward him with a calm expression. "Chakra control is about ensuring that only what is required is used and what remains is secure for the next attempt. In doing this, it isn't wasted and can be saved for later..." That said, Miho would then look toward the stone as she spoke once more. "This task requires that you find the point within the stone in which you wish to focus upon and exert only what you need in order to create the crack. This can be difficult if you focus only on the stone itself...consider only a small section of it and use that as a marker for you to aim for..." Gesturing toward the dark stain of blood that appeared on the surface of the rock, Miho would then glance back to Kaneda with a small smile. "It makes for less broken fingers and blood stained knuckles...try again...this time only using what you need allowing for your target to be the mark you've made..." Miho would then move to the side as she held her hands behind her back. "You can do this...just take your time...don't rush...and focus your thoughts on what you want you wish to accomplish..." The student winced slightly as the dark haired woman looked over his hand, going a bit more in-depth on the process of the training. She soon released him after seeing no real damage done, and continued, Kaneda taking care to pay attention to her every word, letting out a small chuckle, laughing at himself, as she mentioned the broken fingers.

He nodded, taking in a sharp breath as he once more approached the rock. His eyes trailed up and down over the stone, looking up and down over the surface, his fingers gently grazing its surface before resting on the point of his previous impact. His touch lingered a moment as he focused his gaze, feeling determination burning inside him, before pulling his hand back, lightly punching the same spot and stepping away again.

Kaneda took in a long breath, focusing himself as he looked at the small smudge he had made on the face of the stone and he closed his eyes.

"You can do this." Kaneda repeated, taking in another breath as he visualized his chakra within him. The energy buzzed, burning a bright, warm green in his mind as he focused. Doing his best to channel the energy, he could feel his chakras warmth moving through him to the center of his chest before he opened his eyes, focusing his attention on the small area of the stone before him.

"You can do this." He again muttered to himself, trying his best to mold his chakra inside him and bring it to his fist. As he did so, Kaneda would take a step forward, knocking his fist back before driving it forward, pulsing his chakra from his body and into the stone. When his fist made contact, his chakra rippled through the surface of the stone, and although it had at first seemed to have no effect, when Kaneda pulled his hand back, there was a small crack in the surface of the stone, no more than an inch long.

"Holy shit," he said in surprise as his eyes glittered looking at the crack in the stone.

As Kaneda seemed to take in his effort, Miho would lean in as she looked toward the crack and smile as she clapped her hands together. "Well done! That was great..." Miho would then examine the inch long crack across the surface as she then moved back as she gestured towards the stone once more. There was no point in stopping at this point, but to move forward. He had seen exactly how he was to proceed, now it was just the matter of increasing the distance of the crack to further cement his understanding. "Now...do it again...only along the end of that crack and extend upon it...maintain that level of control and use only what you need..." Watching for him to proceed, the Medic would see the growth of his understanding and find herself just as overjoyed for him. It was never a small feat when one learned something new, and it was only just the beginning. She imagined that Kazuto would be proud of him as well. With a breath of relief at his success, Kaneda would take a few steps back, and nod his head at Miho's instructions.

The Sarutobi flexed his hand, getting himself back into position for the exercise. He waited a moment, allowing himself to once again enter a meditative stance. As he did before, Kaneda would focus his attention inward, concentrating on the flow of chakra within him. He pulled at the energy, molding it to his will, feeling more confident than he had before. Once he was ready, Kaneda would urge the chakra into his arm and down into his fist as he once more struck the stone. As his hand made contact, the crack grew, if only slightly, and once again he could feel a boost in his spirit at his success.

Under Miho's watchful eye and her guiding hand, Kaneda and she would practice into the late afternoon, with Miho offering her words of wisdom at each and every step. When Kaneda felt stuck, she urged him through, and when he was successful, she would eagerly fan the flame. It was easy for him to see now, after working with the woman for a short while, why Kazuto revered his wife so. She was almost everything that Kaneda himself might have hoped for in his own companion some day.

As the sun was soon beginning to set behind the distant horizon, Kaneda would thank the woman for everything she had done for him. It might not have seemed like much, and one could even argue that anyone would have lent a hand to someone in need. But, to him, it was a leap forward into his graduation. Into the life of a shinobi.
