Kai watched as Yuudai activated his Fire Release Armor, the jutsu enveloping him in a protective layer of chakra that glowed with an intense heat. The armor flickered with flames, radiating a powerful energy that Kai could feel even from where he stood. His power was impressive and clearly chakra infused. Kai’s eyes tracked his movements, watching as Yuudai closed the distance and readied his right arm for a powerful strike. The pillar shattered under the force of Yuudai’s blow, pieces of metal flying in all directions. The lightning that had been relentlessly striking the pillar suddenly dispersed, momentarily scattering across the sky before regrouping, crackling angrily as it sought new targets. The ground beneath them seemed to hum with residual energy, and for a brief moment, everything was weirdly quiet a moment. But the calm didn’t last long. From the surrounding terrain, the wails of creatures echoed. It was as if the destruction of the pillar had triggered something deeper, something connected to the very essence of the storm.
Before Kai could fully process what was happening, a swarm of smaller lightning infused beasts emerged from the shadows. They were smaller than the previous creatures, only about three feet in length, but they were numerous—dozens of them, their bodies crackling with unstable energy. Their forms were serpentine, with elongated bodies that slithered across the ground. Their scales were a bright, almost blinding yellow, flickering with the same erratic lightning that coursed through the pillars. Sharp fangs jutted from their mouths, and their eyes glowed with a feral intensity. Kai quickly assessed the situation, realizing that they were at risk of being overwhelmed by sheer numbers. "Yuudai, keep taking out those pillars!” Kai shouted, his voice cutting through the chaos. "Nawo and I will provide protection and support!” He turned to Nawo, his voice urgent but clear. "Stay between Yuudai and me, provide ranged support! We need to keep these things off him while he destroys the pillars!” As the smaller lightning beasts began to close in, Kai readied himself for the onslaught. He knew that while these creatures weren’t as imposing as the first ones, their numbers made them just as dangerous.
The first of the lightning beasts lunged at Kai, its body coiled like a spring before launching itself at him with terrifying speed. Kai sidestepped, using his quick reflexes to avoid the attack, then countered with a swift strike, using the edge of his hand in a chopping motion. The creature hissed as it was struck, its body convulsing before it collapsed to the ground, the lightning within it flickering out. "At least they are weak and easy to take out" he thought to himself. But there were more...many more. Kai would think to himself once more "I need to learn some jutsu that have a wide range of attack."
