When it came to him and his own defense, he honestly wasn't all that worried as he had the water always on his side. The moment things went south, he could just turn himself into water and quite literally go with the flow of things, though that would not be a whole lot of help to the other two. And while he did not know them, he did not want to be that kind of person that would just abandon their allies and escape with their own life. While it perhaps wasn't the most shinobi-like approach, he would stick with these people until he was certain that they all managed to get out, or if everyone else had died. Though the latter option was not something he expected would happen.
"I think we should move for the path in the back and see where that takes us. Once your rebreathers are on and the crystal is destroyed, it will likely make for a more safe route to move on through that might even put us behind where the barrier might have been. After all, whoever made this thing must have had some way of getting around their own barrier right?"
Witnessing the use of a ninjutsu technique he had never seen or heard of before, Ken could not pinpoint exactly which factors or even elements came into play as this highly compartmentalized spatial figure came into being, utterly evaporated everything inside of it and then just disappeared. The amount of destructive factors that would have to be included in a technique that left nothing inside of it was insane. When fire burned something or lightning evaporated something, it left ashes. When earth crushed something, it left remains of some sort like dust or bloody smears. When wind tore something apart, the same concept applied as there was always 'something' that was left behind.
But whatever this technique was, whatever made up this odd ninjutsu, it was far more precise and destructive than anything he had ever seen before, as it left behind nothing in its wake.
Regardless, he hoped that the last bit of information he dumped onto the group prior to the destruction of the crystal had not fallen on deaf ears. In his opinion, it was just about the best bet they had towards not having to fight something as they had gone about completing their mission already. Any form of killing was not a requirement, all they had to do was escape with their lives. And so, as Ken liquified himself again in order to evade the most of the water that was about to come down on top of them, he maneuvered himself ever so slightly towards the hidden path. With the Iwagakure ninja being a sensor, he was confident that she could sense him heading into that direction, and would hopefully go along with it.
