| TAKE ME TO VALHALLA WHERE MY BROTHERS WAIT FOR ME |

Truth be told Mairusu wasn't entirely sure what Yaki had planned in regards to the seal on his back, or rather, what she was able to do with it other than the intended purpose, but as the apprentice continued to focus chakra towards his hands in front of him he could also feel natural energy being siphoned to the seal on his back, though strangely enough he didn't feel that awkward sensation of stone beginning to creep over his form; whatever his fellow apprentice was doing seemed to be working.
As he had done once before Mairusu would loose the lightning bolt towards a free spot in the cave, and between two super charged jutsu and Yaki's efforts the swirling chaos that had been storming within him was finally beginning to subside, and with it so did his transformation. Scales, fangs, even the forked tongue faded away as if they hadn't been present at all but the fatigue that came with holding sage mode --partially, anyway-- was still very much there. Labored breathing and a good layer of sweat were the genin's rewards for his efforts but even though he hadn't been able to see himself Mairusu knew that his physical form had changed in some way.
Another guttural laugh came from the giant snake as it lauded the apprentices for their ingenuity in getting past the challenges set before them. While they were individuals their paths to the sage arts were intertwined like the caduceus and as such the great snake would present the offer to name both Yaki and Mairusu sages on the condition that they continue to work together to improve themselves and also one another. The boy couldn't help but think back to Yaki's offer to relinquish the title once all was said and done and her less than pleasant response when he refused, though it seemed it was in both of their best interests to continue sharpening one another. Yaki was the closest thing he had ever had since becoming a genin and if all it took to be recognized as a sage was to continue working with her then the decision was simple.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." Mairusu replied with a smirk or the best he could manage given that there was massive snake mere inches away from his face.
Once more the snake would shift itself causing the cave to groan under the pressure of its form, a loud almost rhythmic hiss emanating from its maw that felt like it was liable to bring the whole place down around them given the intensity.
"Sssso it is ssssspoken. Go forth and honor the way of the Kyodaija, sssshapren yourssselvesss againssst one another and grow in sssstrength." The great snakes eyes would flash white and in the blink of an eye the two apprentices would find themselves back atop the summit of Mount Python. Hakuja perhaps could have transported the duo back to Konoha but the serpent had a feeling that the newest sages travels had not quite finished.
