[Netsu Samemaru]

Samemaru stood off to the side of the "Takigakure"'s main entrance, though most of the people that seemed to pass by him simply viewed him as a statue or piece of arm as Samemaru waited for his sister. Well, they weren't brother and sister, they were cousins and like second or third cousins or something like that but ever since they were kids Samemaru and Midori have gotten along and have acted like brother and sister for most of their lives.

Samemaru watched as another person commented to one of the guards on staff that this was a nice statue, before they would laugh slightly and then send them on their way. It would make sense to your average person that something this large with this much armor on it would have to be a statue of some kind, though anyone with knowledge of the Netsu clan would see the tell-tale markings on it that it was of that clan along with the fact that the massive sword, easily six feet long on it's back, horizontal on it's waist was in fact very real.

Samemaru knew that they had been both given the mission to find out about this, something that either of them could do by themselves, but Samemaru being there might speed the process along slightly. It is very hard for your average person to argue with a literal giant with armor heavy enough to crush you under his weight, wielding a sword bigger than you are.

[Netsu Midori]

Midori had been surprised when she'd told that another one of her cousins was now also on her team, and this one was actually a cousin that she knew much better than Souran. She'd even played games with him when she had been much younger, although they had grown apart somewhat since she'd graduated the Academy and had to go off on her own to learn to control the clan's kekkei tota through meditation, since she was unable to make use of armor effectively when her parents had tried to keep her out of the clan's dangerous techniques, but her Kesshoton core had ended up becoming active against their best efforts. So while Samemaru might have been busy being moved around between multiple teams, Midori herself had been busy learning the Kesshoton Meditation method.

Now here they are, meeting up again. When she finally sees Samemaru, she smirks a bit at the giant sized armored hulk standing at the main entrance of the fake village of Takigakure. Of course she recognizes who he is; he'd always been a giant, even as a child, and she'd always teased him for this height of his. He seems to have filled out to match his height, if the armor he was wearing was any indication. Midori herself is slim, wearing a black and green catsuit that matches the black of her hair, and the green of her eyes, possibly colored by her kekkei tota's influence. For now, she didn't need her weapon pouch, so that had been left at home, though the Takigakure headband hanging loose around her neck at least let others know where her allegiances lie.

She walks right up to him, then puts one hand on her hip, which is jutted out to the same side as she looks up at Samemaru with a smug look.

"Ya sure look like you're ready to shake a kindergartner down for their lunch money. Good enough, I guess."

Samemaru smiled under his helmet as he saw his teammate walk towards him, but he kept from moving for a moment until she walked right up to him. She didn't appear to be armed today, which honestly made sense, she was just as dangerous with her hands as Samemaru was with his weapons at times. Either way, Samemaru said back " I would argue that I am ready to shake the lunch money out of just about anyone that isn't a trained ninja. I could shake the lunch money out of a grown adult if I needed to" The armor muffled his voice slightly, but he could still be heard clearly.

The people around him that weren't in the know seemed to be shocked when the statue they had seen started to talk and began to move as he took a step forward and said. " So.. who are am I going to shake the lunch money out of first? My plan was just to go to the first shop selling this stuff, ask some questions and then wait to find the person who runs. " It made sense to him that if someone knew what was going on, and heard that a giant was asking questions about it, they might decide to just run and hide rather than wait for Samemaru to find them. Atleast that was the logic of his plan, and he also knew that with Midori here with him, it was even less likely that someone would slip through the cracks and leave.

As they both began to walk through the city, Samemaru was clearly the least stealthy a ninja could honestly be, given his massive size, the strange armor and the sword longer than people are tall. People gave him an extremely wide berth.

Midori crosses her arms as he suggests that he could shake down even some grown adults for their lunch money if he really needs to, and although that much is made clear by several villagers being quite surprised by the sudden speaking and movement of what had likely looked like an oversized statue of a man, she wasn't about to let him get a little too confident. She was something of a bully, after all, even if she was also quite protective of her older and larger cousin, and she couldn't let other people think she was in any way kind, or think she was going soft.

"Slow yer roll, you could barely make a kid wet their pants."

Then the conversation shifts from shit-talking, which was Midori's strong suit, to talking about a plan, which was not. Honestly, his plan was about as good as any other, though Midori wasn't about to admit that it was actually a good plan. She was at least going to go along with it, since it clearly was likely to have some success; he was a mountain of a man, and while they were walking and talking, people made sure to make plenty of room for him to pass by, and he made a lot of noise and blocked out a lot of light, which was important for the intimidation of the people selling this strange sacred wood.

"Yeah, sure. I'm probably faster than you anyways, seeing as you've got to lug around all the extra weight. So I'll hang around outside to see if someone tries to run out the back while you go inside to make a lot o' smoke 'n' fire."

Now they've actually reached the first market, and Midori walks past it like she doesn't even see it, then takes a few side streets to reach the back of most of the buildings dedicated to long-term salesmen, listening at the back door to hear the telltale sound of Samemaru's armor clanking inside.

Samemaru just smiled and laughed to himself at Midori's come back to him. Midori was capable of killing a man with her words, something that he always respected about her, luckily Samemaru had a thick enough skin to avoid the worst of it but he wasn't immune. He was sure no one could be immune to it for long.

Once Samemaru and Midori made it to the first shop, and Samemaru walked up the door and had to bend down and turn his body slightly to fit into the door. The shop was luckily, tall enough that he didn't have to bend down not to hit his head, but he was nearly eye level with alot of the structure of the roof. The moment he ended the shop, the normally active shop with people talking turned extremely quiet and people began walking out the front door, which Samemaru let them out. Only a handful of people were left inside and Samemaru began to ask his questions.

They were very basic questions about the objects in question, the owner of the shop clearly not knowing anything about it. This man appeared to, genuinely, be a moron who didn't even realize what he was selling. Though as this conversation went along, a man did walk out the front door and walked to a shop down the street before turning a corner and walking into the back door. It was very unlikely that Midori didn't see the man make this move. Though this shop was, five or six shops down from where Samemaru was, so if he went with his current plan, it would take an hour or more to get to the store where this strange man just walked into.

Midori watches the strange man as he leaves through the front, not when Samemaru had walked in, as most of the other patrons, but after questions started being asked about the wooden sculptures. It was an odd time to leave, and since he left after everyone else, Midori was keen on him when he started walking down the side streets that were made to allow owners access to their own shops instead of the danger of opening their shops from the customer side. She decides that she needs to get Samemaru's attention right now, if for no other reason than because the guy could be getting rid of all the evidence right this moment. Instead of walking all the way around to the front of the store, she breaks open the back door and walks straight to Samemaru.

"We caught our fish! I'll point you to the shop, and then barge right in through the front while I come at him from the back where he's not expecting it."

The ravenette ignores the protestations of the first shopkeeper as she grips her cousin's wrist, using the strength she'd gained from using the Hung Gar rings for almost an entire year in order to help pull him along. The shopkeeper gets to be even more loud and aggravated when the front of his shop is also broken apart by her cousin's armor, but a single glare from Midori silences him before she points out the shop a good two minute walk away.

"The guy dashed straight to this shop. I need you to make a lot of noise in the front, and at least I know you can do that right."

Samemaru was about to leave when he saw his cousin walk in, and before he could get a word in she began talking to him. So apparently one of the guys that left had come in to cause a problem, and they were going to follow him. Either way, Samemaru felt his armored wrist being grabbed and pulled towards the door. Samemaru was easily double the weight of Midori in his armor, and was already much stronger than she was. If he didn't want to go, he didn't have to go but he also knew that not going now would be, one, a waste of their time and two, he would get shit talked to so onwards he went.

Samemaru didn't even bother trying to duck his head coming out the door, because he knew he wouldn't fit as he broke the doorframe against his helm and his shoulder pauldron. He would have to report that to the village so they could get that repaired. Either way, Samemaru was lead to the shop and told to just walk through the door and cause problems.

Samemaru didn't say anything and just walked into the shop, ducking and turning his body before looking around for a moment and then just reaching over and tipping over an entire display case of objects. There was a mighty sound as the display case, a modified bookcase, came tumbling to the ground. The shop owner came out of the back at that moment and looked like he was about to yell. He made eye contact with Samemaru for a moment before making a run towards the back door and slamming it behind him.

Samemaru waited a beat before rushing forward and putting his full weight into the backdoor shoulder checked it, which shattered and fell off the hinges almost as soon as Samemaru hit it. Samemaru was now standing behind the store, a heavy wooden door shattered under his feet as he looked around. He expected to see his cousin around here, most likely having the store owner in her hands.

[Netsu Midori]

Midori is actually waiting behind the store, making a point to move just a bit off-center of the back door in case her cousin comes in with hard accusations and much more violence, although she only hears a little bit of breaking glass and scoffs softly under her breath. She knows he can cause more damage than that, but she's certain that it's really more damage than most merchants have seen in their lifetimes, the soft skin babies. She raises an eyebrow when he comes out the back, recognizing him as one of the people who should really know better about selling some of Takigakure's sacred wood, since he'd also been the merchant that had lost his shop mascot by the name of Snape, a merchant that was also a lifelong Fake Takigakure resident. Now this was interesting.

She quickly reaches forwards and grabs the collar of the somewhat stunned merchant, pulling him closer to her and away from the backdoor before slamming him against the back wall of his own shop, pinning him there with her fists just in time for her cousin to come barreling through the door like some kind of giant juggernaut with no care for the physical structure.

"Look guy. You can talk to me about who you're buying the wood from, and what the supply chain looks like, or you can talk to my cuz here. Problem is, he doesn't speak so good with words, and he likes to talk with his fists. And if there's a translation problem, then my fists get to be involved, too."

That would likely loosen anyone's lips.

[Netsu Samemaru]

When Samemaru turned the corner, and looked at the scene infront of him and was getting ready to make a joke about how what she was doing, some men would pay for, but he was in mission mode so he kept that to himself. As his cousin began to explain how this was going, Samemaru just sighed. We are going with the 'He can't talk good' again thing! We did this all the time when we were children, and while it was always effective, people would meet Samemaru outside of those interactions and be surprised when he could speak in full sentences and had real intelligence. He didn't really have a choice in this case, so he just said, in the voice of someone who is stupid.. " Huhhh huhh... Me like sounds of bones break..."

At this point the merchant went sheet white and began to break down, this time crying as he blathered out what was going on. Apparently the guy was getting it from a source who was getting it from some place within the Bonchi no Kuni's wilderness, and area that was left alone for months at a time. He also attempted to claim that he didn't know what it was, clearly a lie, along with that he should be given mercy and to not turn him into the Daimyo for his crime.

Samemaru just looked down at his cousin as this man was crying and then said, this time normally in his normal voice, " Are we going to turn him in? If so, you or I can hit him hard enough to knock him out to make carrying his fat ass a little easier..." Though the idea of Samemaru making fun of anyone for their weight was... something else given that Midori has seen that man put away enough food to feed a family of four in one sitting, and then ask for more. Samemaru growing up as a child had nearly bankrupted their family on multiple occasions just from getting enough food to feed him.

Midori gets to have some relief when he actually spills the beans on who's giving him the wood and where it's even coming from, confirming that it was, indeed, the sacred wood that Takigakure is sworn to protect on orders from the Daimyo. When Samemaru suggests knocking him out in order to make carrying him easier, she seriously considers it. After all, his negligence had also led to the loss of Snape, one of the lizard summons that was also special to Takigakure, as they were apparently part of their sage's summoning. This was another thing he'd been negligent with, and was even aware of his own wrongdoing this time, so it would make sense to just turn him in at this point or risk having him do this kind of thing more in the future. And they would almost surely get a reward, most of which Midori would try to pocket.

"Yeah, sure, knock yerself out. Er... knock him out."

Then she turns away, yawning but feeling pretty good about such an easy mission. Of course, taking him in would also help ensure they're not asked about where they learned the information and if the source could be trusted, which would just be another headache and a half that she didn't really want to deal with. And after explaining where they learned of it, they'd also have to explain why they hadn't brought in the sniveling wimp of a merchant. Lazy as Midori was, having to make two trips would just be a huge waste of her time, as well as Samemaru's. As much as she teases him, she does genuinely like him, since he can take her ribbing, just like when he'd been a very tall child.

Samemaru stood there for a moment as Midori let the man drop to the ground, the shadow of the giant casting over him. The man began to speak, most likely about to say that he didn't have to knock him out and that he could walk himself, but before he could get a word out a massive fist, the size of the man's face, slammed into the side of his head. Samemaru could feel bones slightly give way, the man most likely had broken his cheek bone, and most likely will have lost a few teeth but that was the least of his worries right now.

Now knocked out, Samemaru reached down and grabbed the man by his pants before throwing him up onto his shoulder and began to walk to follow Midori back to where they knew they would have to drop this man off at. Samemaru didn't say anything as he wondered what he was going to make himself for dinner tonight, his dad was busy with forging something so it was fend for yourself.
