BASIC INFORMATION

NAME:Hagisaki, Ichiro

AGE: Thirty Seven

GENDER: Male

BIRTHDAY: January 17th

VILLAGE: Kumogakure

CLAN: None

RANK: Jounin/B-rank Missing Nukenin

POSITION: Jounin/ANBU

OTHER ALIAS:  [village] Greed

APPEARANCE

HEIGHT: 5'8"

WEIGHT: One hundred seven two pounds

A fairly tall guy, pretty slim but more so average than not. His body was coated in fine chiseled muscles, obviously toned but not preaching "body-builder"!

He wore a straw hat most of the time, if not, it hung down his back with the lace rope attached to it. On this hat had red beads wrapping around it's base. On the beads/hat were two little medals connected to it; displaying in front. One was a blue smiley face on the right, and the other was a sad face on the left. When he took it off, you'd notice more features of his face. The minor freckles dotting his tan cheeks, His jade green right eye, paired with his crystal blue left one. When it's changed, it glows a bright purple blue mixture;  illuminating and signifying his presence. It was the Tennogan.

Black messy hair hung on his head, usually not tended to; unkempt. Usually fashioned well with his usual cocky grin, well kept smile and coordinated posture. More so than not, you'd find this man shirtless; walking eye candy for the ladies! (I kid, I kid!) He wore a pair of black shorts, looped together by a golden belt; fascinated at the buckle. Lastly, he wore his casual black steel toe work boots. He was a hardened traveler though, most people though he was insane by going shirtless 24/7. It was nice being one of the masters of flame.

Your typical bad boy huh?

PERSONALITY

NINDO: "No matter what, I'll never give up on you three."

Many who knew Ichiro was a gentle soul, often claiming his good attitude and down to earth nature. It wasn't until his later loses of both his sensei and student that pushed him over the edge. He was far more serious than he was before, considering his lack of close relations after his abandonment of Kumogakure. ANBU training was relatively suppressing to regular human functions too, leaving him absent of his child-like innocence he once bear'd. It was noted his incredible confidence paired with his competitive nature. It was often said his element was the perfect reflection of his fiery desire.

It's noted that Ichiro often aimed to intimidate his opponent, think ahead and think cynical. His techniques are built on raw power, diversions and tactics. His variety in techniques are situational, diverse and like a deck of cards. The man thought like an inventor; the greatest innovators. Between weapons, fires and the brute forces of stone and lightning. He was a man of raw power, confrontational fighting and head to head obligations in battles.

Ichiro wasn't a bad person though, didn't seek to murder or do bad deeds to people. His drive was just through what he saw, dealt with and worried about. His past had built him to be a more serious man, but his heart never changed. His intentions were good, but perhaps his actions weren't so good. Who knew. Friends were friends, that's all he believed. He'd die for them, he always had intended to.

HISTORY

Ever since I could remember I was fascinated with learning, or more specifically...learning about chakra. It was one of the greatest things to ever hear. That all beings were capable of harnessing it and doing incredible things. I remember watching two senior members of Kumogakure battle, a friendly spar but one that intrigued me endlessly. They were like super heroes, bouncing around at the blink of an eye and doing things I could have never imagined. Scratch that, things that I could ONLY imagine. No matter how hard I tried on a daily basis, I could never do what they could do. This insatiable urge to become like them grew in me; a thirst. That's when I went to the academy to try to quench it.

Much like any drink, it was temporary and I felt I needed more. I had been enrolled into the academy at the age of six, finishing when I was eight and making my baby steps forward. Finally I had been considering a "real" shinobi! A Genin of Kumogakure, how prestigious and ambitious of me. Both my mother and father were proud. They both had served in the military themselves at one point, father becoming a Jonin and my mother making it to Chuunin. They both had spent at least ten years dedicating themselves, but they had me...

To this day I question if my birth was good or not. Perhaps they would have led a happier life continuing their military careers. Despite this, they said they couldn't regret it. I was the best thing to ever happen to them, but I begged to differ at times. To each their own I suppose! I was put into a Genin squad of my own, lead by a famous Jounin known as Makoto Hichimaro. His expertise were known around the village for his superiority in his swordsmanship. His body movements were not practical, very spontaneous and abrupt. There were far too many times for me to count, but he'd always seem to prove himself in any spar against fellow members. It was especially hard for my team, but Makoto would never make anything easy. Much like his hardened fighting style, his teaching style was the same and his personality remained stern. I suppose this is what made me far more serious down the road...

I was placed onto Team Makoto along side two other Genin. Naomi Fukuhara, the Genjutsu specialist of our team and Riku Hatano, the skilled elementalist. We were a perfect combination considering my own abilities, having been skilled in ninjutsu but other useful aspects in battle. Some called me indecisive, I simply said I can't summarize life. There was far too much in this world for me to focus in one area, so I pursued everything that came my way.

We ran countless missions together following our training during the week. We usually trained four times a week, and every other week we would run a task. We kept this regime to keep us on our toes, sharpen are minds like a blade; stay on edge. At least that's what Makoto told us, but I think he was pretty money hungry. It was noted he'd always be stopping at local strip clubs and involving himself with a sinners life. It wasn't until later did I start to understand why he did all these things...

Makoto approved all of us for the Chuunin exams, feeling we were capable and hoping we succeeded in our goals. Much to my surprise, I had passed but truthfully...I couldn't allow myself to lose. I had worked too hard and had too much opportunity to let it slip. Doubt did not enter my mind, especially when there was an obstacle stopping me from what I needed; growth and purpose. Both me and Naomi had passed, but our team mate Riku had failed. Almost exactly three years later, and two of had become Chuunin. IIt shocked our whole team considering how capable he was. Having mastered two elements, utilizing them fluently and being known to have a undeniable ability in ninjutsu. It so happened that his opponent was a prior student to that of a Kage. If anything, it was the perfect match for Riku but he fell short...

The good news was that the next year Riku redeemed himself, but it distanced the team we belonged to. Naomi and I had often been working along side Makoto sensei on higher missions for that year.

"One of the worst feelings is being left behind. I tried my hardest to train to impress Naomi, and earn the respect of my sensei. Ichiro had always been the "knack for everything" guy, I hated it. I wanted to show Makoto I was just as capable, but I failed my exam. I worked so hard and long...it makes no sense. I've been told to stop ruminating, but honestly...I think it's helping me. I'm learning more about myself, and how I can achieve what I want. Kage training or not, I'll succeed. I don't need to cheat, and I know I can do it. Regardless of what anyone says!" -Riku

As a Chuunin I had plenty of duties such as guarding the gates, scouting the area and maintaining peace among civilians. Much like when I was a Genin, but I wasn't forced to follow my instructor anymore. I was my own entity and this gave me much more time to pursue what I wanted. Eventually I was given the opportunity to work in central intelligence(the ANBU) given the name of 'Inu' (literally meaning dog) as a false name under the agency. Multitudes of times working besides the Kage, senior members and even unofficial missions on multiple accounts. This eventually built me to have a higher respect over other members, and earned me the position of S.Jounin until further notice. I was fifteen at the time, give or take. During this time, I continued to work under the ANBU as a side task in the military. I often had a generalized set of skills, but it was due to my plethora of them, more importantly my adverse ninjutsu which lead me on the time. I excelled in two different elements, much like Riku did many years ago; Katon and Raiton. So notable I was often placed on squads for that sole purpose.

As I said earlier, I began to understand Makoto-san more so than not. When you're younger you don't realize what war does to you, let alone when you witness your first death...or killed with your own bare hands. It's something that will erase the humanity in you...to this day, I still have part of me that is empty. I suppose that's why he did the things he did, and continues to do so to this day. I didn't have an answer for him...or even myself. The world could be such a terrible place...surely.

"Today, Ichiro decided to confront me on why I hit the strip clubs, spend all my money and gamble. Sometimes I don't have the answer myself, but it passes the time. I feel like a disappointment, but I know it's because I'm disappointed in myself.  Shiro and Ama...what would you think of me now? No matter how hard we fought, we still lost that day. You two lost your lives, and I lost my two friends. No doubt I admit that I'm looking for you two, in everything, but I cannot find either of you. I just hope you'll understand..." -Makoto sensei. (Journal log during the time's Ichiro was under Makoto's supervision.)

During my times as a S.Jounin I was appointed to my own squad, given the opportunity to learn more leadership skills and ability as a tactician. I was still young myself, roughly 21 but they believed I showed potential. It wasn't due to a lackluster of skill, but rather because they saw promise in my mindset. This certainly gave me far more responsibility, but the weight on my shoulders increased ten fold. I had three students: Shinju Ito(Male), Tomoko Kyoto(Female), Ume Gifu(Female). They were all three very bright students, but they had the innocence too. It was clear that the cycle of life appealed to me, I began to see what it was like to be in Makoto's shoes. How difficult it was to bear the weight of your own life, not to mention three others under your supervision.

One of the saddest days of my life...I will remember it like it was yesterday. The four of us had been given permission to go do a B-rank mission, or rather...it became a B-rank mission. We had initially been assigned to a C-rank mission, supposed to escort a village official and bring them to a round-about. This round-about was supposed to be a meeting with his own squadron, which would lead him the rest of the way. Before we reached the convergence point, we had been ambushed by unknown shinobi. Even to this day, I hardly know how someone figured out where we were. It just didn't add up.

When we got ambushed, I tried my best to protect them. It's when I began to notice we didn't stand a chance, and we needed to continue the mission. It was either the village official or my genin. I chose my Genin, trying to protect and save Ume's life. She had been stabbed with a sword, a mortal wound...and at the time...I didn't want to believe she was going to die. In the end, I had to leave Ume...the escort was more important. I knew that if I didn't follow through, a lot more could have happened...and we needed to prevent being blamed. To this day, I regret the decision I made. I regret leaving my team mate, the one who I promised to teach and guide. Instead...I guided her to her death.

Not long after this incident, I was put on a leave of absence due to my diagnosed depression. They said medically I was unstable in missions, emotions out of control and such. This vacation was one I needed, but it only gave me more time to ruminate on what I had done. "I am sorry Ume..."

"Ichiro sensei you may never get this, but I'm proud to say I have learned after you. Sometimes it's hard to believe we are being taught by Makoto-sensei's student, but we certainly understand it. Without you, we couldn't have done all of this ourselves. It's the whole reason I'm a shinobi myself, and I'll be able to reach the whole world soon enough. I promise. I won't disappoint you! Watch!" -Ume(Journal log prior to her passing.)

Two years after that incident, I had finally gotten my life back into order. Resigning my position from being a sensei and dedicating my abilities to the ANBU fully. It was due to my exceptional work that got me promoted to Jounin. After so many years of being a S.Jounin, doing your job successfully and showing promise in your strides got you this far. Twenty five now and I started as a S.Jounin at fifteen. Hard to believe how fast it all went. At this point, I wasn't even that happy about it.  Maybe if I was still younger and a Genin I would be proud, but I guess my wish finally came true. I was finally able to do what those shinobi could, dancing the elegant dance of battle but I wanted more. Something made me understand that their abilities came from their desire to fight for something. Just like me and so many others before me. So this is what you meant about perspective, huh? Makoto-sensei.

It's when I finally had met this man, Hideki Arakawa in the ANBU of Kumogakure. We had worked together countless times, but his perspective taught me a lot. He and I seemed to have the same ideals, but we began to truly see how this world was. The perverted visions of the villages, the evil acts people did to make good happen. It's when Hideki had presented an idea to me, that strangely enough...made the most sense I had for a long time.

After all the countless wars, conflicts and more...I had enough. These shinobi villages were leading people to their deaths; endlessly.

Hideki was an idealist, very adamant about creating a better world but told me plenty of stories. One of these stories were about working along-side the Omori, the Tennogan users. I too have seen them in action, and it was an incredible asset to work along-side of. One of the most formidable fighters in the village was Akio Omori, the leader at the time(probably still is) and a senior of the village. The Omori had been led to Kumogakure at the Second Shinobi War supposedly, by him and encouraged to pledge allegiance.

It's when Hideki had broken news to me, that Akio had killed my old sensei Makoto. Apparently they had been running a mission together, and Akio took the obligation to kill Makoto to prevent information being leaked. It was more than once this type of occurrence had happened. It was supposed to be one of the most honorable things one could do for a village, to protect it at least...but I disagreed. What is a village without the family in it? If we killed each other off, what were we really protecting.

So, I decided to play the game "eye for an eye". I wanted to show Akio what he had done, but I wasn't sure when I would get that opportunity.

So many people had praised him for his obligations to the village. I hated him for it, and half the village. Those people who praised him were denying my sensei's name, and everything he once stood for. In Makoto's name, I promised I would have my revenge on them. Hideki had listened to me about everything I felt, and promised to assist me. At the time, he was like my best friend...being there on every turn. My right hand man essentially, and now was the true test of it.

"Today, I had to break the news to Ichiro. I'm so worried he's going to go off and do something crazy. Then again, I feel for him. Makoto had been one of his bestfriends, his mentor and like a father figure. Not the best one, but certainly one and that's what counted. I'm mad for him, Akio is a prude and certainly had no right to take Makoto's life. The whole village is praising him, and he has to sit by; watching. It's torture. I promised Ichiro I would help him do justice, by any means necessary. It's what true friends do for each other. In this hateful war driven world, these are the moments that matter and I won't let that go. Ever." -Hideki after the Makoto incident.(Journal log)

During the Kumo-Shimo conflict, the village was on edge and rumors of civil war were surrounding everyone. It put many people on edge, but often meant for the ANBU to be interacting with the village more so than ever. During this time, Akio Omori had to be escorted out of the village and to handle a special diplomatic mission. The ANBU were assigned to the mission, and it just so happened we could pull the strings needed to be the ones doing it. We were only told that we needed to protect Akio, prevent any ambushes and make sure the diplomatic meeting went smooth. Information regarding with who, when and where weren't disclosed. Our obligation was to simply pursue Akio during this.

Long story short, we were able to capture him and Hideki had stolen one of his eyes. Since we were able to seclude him long enough from any protection, we had trapped him but he proved to be far too strong to kill. We escaped the area with his eye, and Akio escaped as well back to the village. It wouldn't be long until we'd be figured out and hunted for. During this battle, I had lost my left eye...so I suppose this is why Hideki felt he needed to do it.

Hideki had explained to me he stole the eye as payment for what he had done. His gift to me was the Tennogan, a way for Akio to always remember what he did and a way for me to live in peace. Hideki had the ability to replace my eye, which he did and gifted me with it's incredible abilities. Since then, I've been on run. I've been trying to find a way back home, but to make Akio pay for what he had done. Kumogakure was protecting a dishonorable man...I couldn't be friends to people who disdained my sensei's name.

"'Greed' huh?"

Aye. I guess it's what I get I suppose, a name that follows me through out majority of my life. Ever since I have been black listed, I got that name...for this dang eye; the Tennogan. Akio took mine, so Hideki had given me one in return, Akio's own left eye. We had agreed to stick together until further notice, it's when we began seeing bounty-pages across towns we traveled by; our faces. We were black-listed to be hunted, a huge bounty posted on our heads and soon enough...we were found. Hunter ninja's from Kumogakure were on our trial, one of them being Akio and we had almost died. It's when Hideki decided he was going to risk his life to hold them off, for me to escape and continue my pursuit to change the world. All I remember him saying is to remember Makoto, remember him and my students. To never give up your family for anything in this world, because without it...this world would be hell.

I promise I'll defeat them Makoto, Ume....Hideki....

"Ichiro Hagisaki, I will retrieve my eye and make you pay for what you've done. I've begun to understand why you did these things, for Makoto, huh? You didn't get what you wanted so you throw a fit. You took what was mine, because I took what was yours. Funny how life works, huh? That's why your friend is dead now, Hideki was his name? Yes. Channel that hate and try again. You will not live to see another tomorrow after that. Kumogakure will stand tall and proud, with...or without you. You -will- die by my hands, I vow it." -Akio Omori, Journal log since the days of the incident.

FIGHTING STYLE

Much like a fire, he is fierce and has the tendency to continue to grow. Engulfing and consuming to only get more impressive. Ichiro is a slow starter, but his skills dramatically increase over the course of a battle. As he get's fired up and angry so will his flames. It's been told his fiery will had a way with his style. Much like a fire, he acted on reaction and moved in spontaneous ways. His mind worked in an unusual pattern, for a fire cannot be tamed nor can it be expected.

Ichiro has always been a very universal shinobi, utilizing a variety of methods to collaborate them together elegantly. The young Hagisaki had seen it from day one, and now it made this refined man we know today. It was his ideals to believe all techniques were equally useful, so if he pieced them all together he could construct so many possibilities. The downfall was his lack of specialization, and could never challenge someone in a single verse of something. His specialties were spread out in good amounts, knowledge vast but nothing superior to a master in a field.

Utilization of weaponry, swords, ninjutsu, genjutsu, taijutsu, fuinjutsu etc. the list went on. Ichiro wasn't against most techniques, besides Puppetry, Medical or Senjutsu. These were beyond his grasp. S-rank techniques were also out of his reach momentarily, but he was a firm believer in surpassing limits. Another trait he bear'd alongside that of a fire; determination. They both endlessly grew, or at least sought to.

INVENTORY

SPECIAL ABILITIES

The Implanted Tennogan

Ichiro possesses the Tennogan which resides in his left eye. It's noted his right eye is green, but his left is blue. It's due to the exchange of eyes, one being his own and the other is foreign to his body. He s capable of turning it on and off, but it's noted the drain is increased slightly due to it not being his natural Kekkai Genkai. (If very low drain, it'll become low, if low it'll become medium, etc. This is ONLY for the eyes drain naturally, it doesn't alter the Tennogan's sealing ability drain at all.)

Due to his time with the eye, he's become just as proficient in using it as the Omori themselves. The Jounin eventually learned it's abilities through practice and now harnesses it fluently.

Impeccable Control

rhythm, law, regulation

Through years of training and the acquiring of the Tennogan bred a impeccable ninja in the art of controlling their chakra. Where they waste no chakra, making full use of their reserves and creating jutsu to their fullest extent. They have established they are keen on utilizing their techniques with an aptitude to be a formidable foe. (Capable of breaking Genjutsu as if it were his primary specialization utilizing Genjutsu Kaii)

Abnormal Reflexes

反射

It's been noted at a younger age that Ichiro had a unusual ability for his reflexes; heightened awareness. Unlike the average person, he could react where they could only begin to think of reacting. Such reflexes give him an unusual ability to take more coordinated counters, dodges and more. Such reflexes seem almost instinctive, but some suspect it's at which Ichiro's brain processes things. To this day, however, they may never know.

Ichiro's Bushido

武士道

For various years training under Kumogakure's Makoto-sensei, Ichiro had picked up on how to use his sensei's sword fighting style. Despite it not being a pure specialization like his sensei, he was still able to utilize the method usefully and prove to be a "jack of all trades". Ichiro was a technical specialist of weapons, understanding fine steel and most common ninja appliances. More often than not he could adapt, unless said weapon requires an SA, or other form of requirement he is lacking in.

Fiery Will

set free, release, fire

The Fiery will of Ichiro was made for many reasons. Building blocks had built this usual sense of determination, but it was due to his loses that brought him here. Makoto, Ume and Hideki all had given Ichiro a sense of purpose in this world. When they were taken out of it, it only gave him a bigger reason to exist; for them.

Naturally, his katon techniques burned brighter. They were far stronger, where a eight foot flame would become a sixteen foot one. Minor abilities were granted due to his natural proficiency with Katon too! He could raise his body temperature above normal. It's often why he could be seen walking in snow without his shirt. Almost seemingly never bothered by the cold. Nor would he be bothered by his own flames.
