Samesame has been called the Scary-Eyed Shark behind her back for a few years now. It was a nick name she earned for the sheer fear she could put into a person's soul. Her eyes are laced with a cold-blooded and calculated murderous intent. Even when completly jovial, she still retains the edged look to her eyes. Always appearing as if she was ready to make a kill. The name has only grown in value as her career has progressed.

Kanami stands as a pillar of juxtaposed power despite her average stature. She isn’t the tallest woman in the world. She stands at a good average height for a fully grown adult woman. However, she retains a strong sense of stability and has a commanding presence in the way she holds herself upright. Her frame is very slim, however you can see some real definition in her muscle tone riplling off of her body. She stands with an amazing posture that parallels the way she conducts her business. Her skin is a milky white color, due to her Uzumaki genes her skin is constantly in repair mode from any scratch or scrape she sustains. For that reason, despite her over-a-decade-long tenure as a ninja, she has no visible scars or lacerations. Her skin also remains unaffected by working under the sun as well, her Uzumaki lineage even keeps her somewhat protected against even sustaining sun damage, which means no tan for her.

Her head is adorned with a crown of fiery red naturally colored hair. Her hair is of a recent length, and when she leaves it untied or wrapped, it reaches down all the way down to the small of her back. Her hair is groomed constantly and is very straight with a crisp gloss to it when light bounces off of it. She usually keeps her hair neatly tied into an arching ponytail off the back of her head. She frames the sides of her face with two long collections of bangs jutting out from her hairline and falling down the length of her ears. Her facial profile is very sharp and defined. Her face is unmarred by the signs of any wrinkles or laugh-lines. Her lips are of a cherry red color and are usually seen pressed firmly together in a steely even expression. Her eyes have a reddish hue to them. The red is less intense however the way her face is sculpted they look very piercing. It is said that her eyes can shake a man down to their very core when she cast an angry glance upon them.

When it comes to her attire, outside of work she can be seen in very casual garb. She wears loose fitting plain joggers that are cuffed and tapered in at her ankles. For her top she usually goes for some kind of cut-off t-shirt, in colder months she will substitute this out for a light jacket. She is a big fan of the burlap-made loafer shoes, and will wear them when in casual situations as a constant. Her work attire is completely different. She dresses for the ideal use of her body and her tools. She has worn a similar style to her gear from even when she was a lowly genin. She will wear black compression shorts that hem out around the middle of her thighs. She keeps her kunai holster wrapped around her right thigh with the opening facing out and tilted for easy slide-in access with her hands. She wears a mesh top, dark in color much like her shorts. The mesh is very filtered to stay flattering to the sports bra she wears underneath it. In all it looks as if the top and her shorts are connected in one piece, similar to a compression athletic romper. She wears black forearm and shin bands, as added protection against abrasions from falls and other coarse surfaces. She wears black blue ankle-high shinobi geda sandals which flow seamlessly with her shin protectors. She finishes her outfit with her sign of office an authority of Kusagakure. She has a thick white cloak, in respects to her predecessors of Kusa Lords and Ladies, she has her place as the seventh Kusa Lady designed into the back of the cloak in brazen red kanji lettering.

Kanami is a very smooth, intelligent, and sophisticated woman. She speaks only when it is necessary. Thus the few words she shares are weighted in their importance to her. She believes in the notion that it is better to listen and observe than act without understanding. Her slow and methodical style of speech is also mirrored in how the woman acts. It is said that she will strategically measure the advantages and disadvantages of the very smallest details. Even outside of her duties as the Kusa Lady, she will take nearly a lifetime to decide things such as her casual attire for the day. She is also quite introspective because of this. She has a sense of self-realization about who she is and how she carries herself. Because of her own knowledge of how slow she is to act, she has become quite proactive in certain regards to life. It is a countermeasure to mitigate her calculated reactiveness. In using the same example of how she takes a long time to decide simple casual attire, she will plan her outfits in advance. She will pick out what she intends to wear for every day in the week. She will leave windows open for adjustments. This course of action transcends just her choice in clothing. She takes this approach to every facet of her life both professional and personal. She is considered by some to be very conservative because of her slow and measured demeanor. As advantageous this may seem, her attitude comes with flaws.

She is a criminal micromanager. She will transpose how she lives her life and cast it upon the people she's around. While she by no means will force anyone to do anything they don't want to do. She will operate as the most brutal of taskmasters and always use her slight "nudges" to push people into seeing her way of doing things. She is the type of leader who consistently will ask for a progress report even upon the slightest of progress made towards achieving the goal in mind. She needs to constantly be in the know of how and why something is working the way it is. She needs this information so she can begin formulating measures to see how her perspective could possibly bring the best out of the task if it were applied. Because of this aspect of her personality, she can garner some serious dislike among her contemporaries and underlings alike. However, despite this, she carries herself in a very contrite sense of existence. She feels that her career as a shinobi has led her to do some things that she is not proud of. Therefore she is constantly working to seek a perfection in herself. Her heart is at a loss on whether she does what she does to find some justification in her past transgression, or if she is seeking a means of making an amends for all that she is done. She lives a life that would seem as if she is weighed down by the burdens of the world. Her facial expressions are riddled with guilt and mystery, and it follows in her body language when one is observant enough to catch her off her guard.

As a leader, Kanami has the belief that she has to lead by example. She feels it is very hypocritical telling someone how to live and do things a certain way when she doesn't practice what she preaches. She lives her code to the very last letter. Her will is steadfast, as she will not compromise her integrity and her morals for anyone or anything. She has the impression that if she can do the right things, all the right things will come rushing back to her tenfold. She is very educational in her dealings with the young men and women in the Hidden Grass Village. She feels as if there is a learning opportunity in every aspect of life. Even the small things can be used as an example to set someone in the right direction to living the life they are looking for. She is hands-on with the younger shinobi within the village. Although she was never formally an instructor at the Hidden Grass shinobi academy, she has definitely paid her dues and put in her time in teaching the young up-and-coming ninja of her village. Her teaching style, however, is as curt as she is. She is a no-nonsense kind of instructor. She believes in repetition creates the best results. Fitting with her characteristic of being a taskmaster, she also can add slave driver jokingly to her list of titles. She believes that if you hardwire something into the body so many times, that it becomes instinctually. Her philosophy is the ninja arts is to have very honed and sharpened instincts to work in tandem with a flexible mind.

Her personal dealings with people can be varied depending upon her personal relationship with the person in question. The woman, after all, is young in her own respective age. She is subjected to the terrors and unknowns of her personal life. It is, for this reason, she loves being a ninja despite the guilt it brings. She feels when she puts on the face of the Kusa Lady, that she has a measure of control of the things that happen around her. Back to her life outside the kunai, underneath the stonewall defenses of her expression and approach resides a romantic soul. Some of her guilty pleasures involve sneaking in the occasional romance novel or two. She pours herself into her work and therefore her experiences in love and intimacy can only be experienced by secondhand. However, with the little personal time she does manage to carve out for herself she has tried speed-dating... To no avail, there is just something intimidating when her potential suitors realize that she is the military leader of the village. She also has a deeply buried sense of creativity. She openly lets this hidden passion flourish on two fronts... The battlefield, and her art studio. In learning her sealing techniques the young woman is no stranger to calligraphy. it has transitioned into full on paintings now. Whenever she feels overwhelmed or bottled in tightly, she explores her feelings through the medium of paint and canvas. She is also starting to dabble with the human form, as she has recently signed up for sculpting and clay modeling classes within the village. She is also adventurous in the kitchen. However, this is by no means indicative that she has the gift of the culinary arts. By her own admission, she'd find a way to burn water. As much as she tries to create tasty masterpieces, she finds a measure of joy in simply trying to hash out a new recipe that will be better than her last.

Overall, Kanami is a very curt and studious woman. She understands the gravity of her position within the Hidden Grass Village. She keeps herself a stonewall to portray the strength and stability her people need to emulate in trying times such as these. She puts her position above everything in her life, as she understands that the safety and security of countless comrades and civilians hang over her head. She assumes her position as a leader without question, and will not compromise the slightest sense of her morality or integrity for anything in this world. She carries a heavy heart from the actions she has committed as a ninja, but she keeps her head held high in hopes that what she has done, will pave a brighter future for her village and the descendants from her villagers. She is a warrior, a scholar, and educator, and forever a student of life.

FIGHTING STYLE

FORMULA FOR VICTORY
Being of an Uzumaki lineage, Kanami has a natural gift with sealing techniques. While sealing techniques are not ideally used in the heat of battle, Kanami relies upon her clan's ability to give a solid form to her seals. She utilizes these seals in place of her normal shinobi tools. She is able to use certain clan techniques to turn her seals into shuriken and other devices needed on in combat. Her kicker comes with the ability to use her chakra to activate her seals to perform their originally intended purpose. This gives her a lot of flexibility in battle, as well as a sense of unpredictability as well. She has honed her fighting skills that allow her to carefully use her sealing techniques in conjunction to her clone jutsu in order to maneuver and bait her opposition into being in a prime position for her to strike. She is very careful on the battlefield and will take her sweet time in analyzing the styles and tactics of her opponents. To do this she will usually send in a legion of shadow clones as surrogates in order for her to hand back and collect data on her opponent. Her mind meticulously works in a strategic fashion that sees her running scenarios in her head about the possibilities on the battlefield. She excels in group assaults, using her cunning to position her "pieces" on the field in order to bring out the best possible outcome. Individually she finds herself lacking in certain areas. In understanding that her tenure as a shinobi isn't complete and that there is still much more for her to learn, she works on her inconsistencies and weaknesses in order to one day turn them into hidden strengths that she can rely upon when her life and the lives of others are in jeopardy. She is a leader in the field and she fights like one with her approach.

STRONG BODY CLAN

The blood of the Uzumaki clan gives Kanami a strong bodily constitution. She is gifted with a strong life force which will allow her to live a very long lifespan if she maintains her health. This gives her body an edge in filtering out small samples of toxins. She has a high fatigue factor, as she is able to train and do battle over an extended period of time without succumbing to exhaustion. She has a bolstered healing factor. While it by no means is on par with any regenerative medical ninjutsu techniques. Injuries, sprains, and breaks to her body seem to heal at a faster rate than the average person. With even small and minor surface scratches and scrapes healing within the end of the day. She is also gifted with the Uzumaki clan’s tendency to produce ninja with massive chakra reserves. It coincides with her fatigue. Her reserves are massive only dwarfed by bijuu host and she is able to utilizes her more costly techniques without skipping a beat in battle. She also has access to the clan’s specialties with sealing techniques and the fabled chakra chains technique.

EAGLE-EYED ARTIST 

While she holds no mastery in bukijutsu, her goal of turning her negatives into strengths comes with her excessive practice in shurikenjutsu. The woman has developed herself to be a skilled marksmen. No matter how clumsy and cumbersome she may be with long-blades and other unique weaponry, she has the basics of her projectile tools down to a great degree. The woman rarely misses her mark. By no means does this mean that every thing she throws lands true. Her projectile weapons are meaningless when it comes to the dodging and maneuverability of her target. Her eagle-eye status means that nine-times-out-of-ten where ever she aims she generally hits that targeted area. This plays well into her combat strategy of maneuvering her opponents into a perfect striking place. With great accuracy and precision with her projectiles she can essentially try to work her target into moving in a general direction where she wants to go with her well timed shuriken throws.

EMPOWERED FIRE STYLE

By far, the woman's primary ninja skill is her ninjutsu ability. Her natural chakra is fire style, and with her tedious work ethic she has mastered the ability to use this nature in her ninjutsu. Her real gift comes from an added intensity to her techniques. Because of her massive pool of chakra reserves, Kanami is able to tap into her chakra and effectivley "turn up the heat" on her fire style ninjutsu techniques. She pours in an added bump of her chakra to have her flames burn a bit longer and more intensely than the average user of fire style ninjutsu. With a higher intensity to her flames, she finds herself with a bonus tool that she can use within her reprotroir on the pitch of battle. Her empowered flames have a hint of explosiveness to them, and can stand up better to opposing water style ninjutsu. The flames she carries are the flames of war.

SIGNATURE JUTSU: SHADOW CLONE

The Shadow Clone technique is the hallmark jutsu of Kanami. Her prowess with the technique is of a higher nature than any average shinobi who can utilize the jutsu themselves. She has worked tirelessly to make this technique into her own. Her advantages with this technique comes in the form of "bursting". The Shadow Clone technique by nature is a bursting technique that requires strong surges of chakra to form and birth the replicas in the first place. She has mastered this burst to the effect where she can perform the jutsu seamlessly in the midst of her action. As long as she has the use of her hands, she can perform her signature technique without a break in her current action or movement. She has an in-depth understanding of this technique and has developed a strong reputation for using it both in and out of battle. One of her titles stems from her mastery.

ELUSIVE ARTIST

Kanami knows when there is a time to stand and fight. However, she also knows when there is a time to flee. Fortunately for her his is well apt at doing both. The woman while untempered in the art of taijutsu, has trained her physical body quite well. She has built her body like a temple, and it flourishes when it comes to the woman's speed and quickness. She knew she would never be the type to win in a fist fight. So the woman has dedicated her physical and calisthenic training in a focus towards being speedy and fleet-footed. The woman finds herself one of the more speedier ninja in the world, unassisted of course by ninjutsu. She uses this quickness to her advantage in running promptly into her progressions in a battle, as well as retreating to fight another day. Her speed as a moving target has surely kept hr alive over her years as a ninja, and she only seeks to get faster.
