[break]
Idaten was born a healthy, slightly-chubby baby to a couple of Himishi of the village of Yukigakure. He was born as
Himishi Toshiro. He was the firstborn son of Aikihiro - the father and Hinata - the mother. His father was an extremely capable Shinobi, who was a Jounin; however, he had never allowed the village to openly acknowledge many of the operations he was part of. Hence, he was only known to a selected few and has chosen not to be promoted to the rank of Elite Jounin. Even though Aikihiro wasn't part of the 'royal' family of the clan; he had possesed a marvelous control over his clan's Dojutsu, developed after many years of training and completing missions. His mother was a retired Shinobi, also a descendant to the Himishi clan; who retired as a Chunnin as soon as she was pregnant with
Toshiro. She decided to retire because she wanted to devote herself entirely to her children. And at the time, it seemed like the perfect choice, at least in her eyes. His father himself took a limited number of missions once his wife became pregnant. He too was expecting the child. However, even before
Toshiro was born, his father had already developed plans for him. He believed that under his guidance,
Toshiro would be the best fighter of the village, and intended to have him train for that ever since he would be born; unfortunately, he didn't and didn't intend to take into account
Toshiro's persoanility into the equation.[break][break]
And so,
Toshiro was born a healthy baby on August 11th. His first few years, until he begun training were filled with nothing but care and compassion from his parents. Everything he managed to recall from back then is only happy. And, when he turned 3, his training began. And when it has, the problems, with it. Slightly before it has begun, his father took him to see the crime scenes and bloody battlefields; a testimony to humanity's cruelty. He had exposed
Toshiro to the idea that humanity is cruel. And believed that wars could only be ended if a fighter strong enough would emerge and would win every single one of them.
Toshiro absolutely admired his father and thus followed his belief; because it was the only thing he has known. And even though that as a child he was horrified by the sightings, he felt as if he had no other choice but to follow him. Because every time he had shown a sign of sadness or fear, his father used only reproaches that were clearly befitting a child, however, still quite harsher than what is normal. When his training has begun, he was well aware that he needs to become strong. Hence, he gave his absolute best. And his father was extremely proud of him; this child, even though he was very young, seemed to be very gifted in the arts of Ninjutsu and even slightly being able to show signs of activating his Dojutsu. His father made sure to always encourage him to become stronger and to provide him with the proper encouragement when he felt it was necessary. And indeed, even though
Toshiro was quite a sensitive boy back then who took his father reproaches quite harshly, he was still glad he was able to improve and become stronger and get his father's approval for this.[break][break]
Two years have passed like this; while he was still discovering his inner self and his likes and dislikes. As the years kept passing, his father exposed him to more an more awful deeds of humans. However, instead of being terrified and wary of it, with each sighting,
Toshiro became more and more acceptive and indifferent to the idea of death. He was literally brain-washed to believe death and murder were natural in this world. And that the only way to avoid these things is by becoming the absolute training. That was indeed quite the frame of mind for a young child. However, he hasn't thought of it like that. He wasn't even aware that a child doesn't need to keep these things in mind. He simply had them in mind. During these two years,
Toshiro had almost immediately found a love for fun-making when he was in the kindergarten with the other children, and thus, practiced it even when he came home back to his parents. His father would constantly reproach him for that; while his mother would remain quiet and indifferent to his father's scolds. This had quite saddened
Toshiro, however, as he had learned, every time he got sad, his father would reproach him, so he hid it from his father, or sometimes openly rebel against him; a thing that would lead to him being scolded and sometimes even physically punished for it. That has developed
Toshiro's OCD, at least its early stages, as he was extremely anxious about getting his father upset by making a mistake. Because every time he has, his father would scold him, and sometimes even use a form of physical violence against him. However,
Toshiro always remained fun-loving; if not at home, than in the kindergarten. During these last two years, he has been discovered as a prodigy. He was able to learn Ninjutsu fairly quickly and has made good physical progress, as he was training to make himself fast and agile on his feet. He even further honed his Dojutsu skills as well; so much so that he was able to be recognized by the other members of his clan and to be acknowledged for his progress. However, his father hasn't allowed him to remain in the spotlight for long; as he believed staying it too much would take
Toshiro off of the path to becoming the strongest.[break][break]
Two more years have passed and now
Toshiro was considered an extraordinary child; in the sense that he was able to learn and control Ninjutsu and his clan's Dojutsu to a point that is definitely not expected from even a Himishi children of his age, as Himishi children were normally considered more talented than average children. His father was extremely satisfied with it. But at this point, he hasn't acknowledged
Toshiro for that, as he believed that his ego was being fed too much by the other members of the clan and preferred to keep acknowledging him to the absolute minimum; trying to avoid it as much as possible while still occasionally congratulating him for his successes. Even though
Toshiro needed his father confirmation, he found out that he could do just fine with just the acknowledgment of his clan and the other children, as he was truly exceptional for his age. With each ear that has passed,
Toshiro made less and less mistakes. However, each mistake that he has made was now much more costly; as his father was now normally resorting to the use of physical and verbal violence every time
Toshiro made even a mistake during their training sessions, at least, what his father believed to be a mistake. Once he turned
eight, he enrolled in the academy along with the other children. Now, completely indifferent to sightings of even brutally murdered people. He hasn't cared about it. He was simply focused on becoming the strongest in order to make everybody fear him. His motive to become the strongest was eventually rooted in fear; as he was afraid he would someday share the same fate with those who he found, along with his father, brutally murdered. His father made him believe that the only way to avoid it is by becoming the strongest yourself. And so, shortly after he joined the academy, his father made him kill a living creature himself. But more on that in the next paragraph.
[break][break]
[attr="class","hopelovetitle2"]Academy Student (ages 8-12)
[break]
Toshiro absolutely loved the academy. He used to practice his comedic ways all the time; enjoying his time in the academy as much as he possibly could. And, while he was quite fond of the other children, he had never truly bonded with them. They seemed to appreciate him and had a great time with him; as he used to make light of every situation thrown at them by the instructors. However, he hasn't done so in a way that would force him into trouble with the children and the teachers; oh no, he was a smart boy. He's done it subtly. He has done it in a way that would only make him more likable. You see, while being a good student in the academy; in absolutely every field, he was also a funny, quite popular kid. His teachers greatly admired him for that.
Toshiro was a natural-born actor, and he absolutely abused this talent of his. Even though that in school he was the funny, popular kid; he was being trained brutally after the academy. Long sessions of Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Dojutsu training in addition to a tour in different crime scenes and battlefield every day; and when he enrolled in the academy, his father additionally started forcing him to hunt animals. At that point, it wasn't even forcing him, as
Toshiro really didn't care about killing animals. He has done it carelessly, yet truly effective. Toshiro has truly believed that hunting an animal is completely fine; as humans are the ultimate apex predators of nature, and it is their biological role to hunt the weaker animals for their necessities. This belief, was, of course, forced into his head by his father; hence, you could see that it was quite untypical for a child to think this way. His father taught him all the weak spots in the human body and how to end one's life as quickly as humanly possible. And, unsurprisingly, because he was exposed to so much death over the years, he has proven himself quite the hunter; stalking and observing animals for hours, and killing them as quickly as possible when he felt like it was the perfect timing. After he began to hunt animals, he asked his father for permission to train his observation abilities; you see, he had told his father the truth - that he wanted to observe people as much as possible in order to learn about what drives them. And when he would learn what drives people, he would use it against them - he would use everything in his arsenal to become the strongest. His father, surprised by his son's own initiative, gladly agreed. It was perfect for him. He wanted
Toshiro to become the perfect killer. And he, much like his son (not surprising, really, as he was the one who was forcing all of these ideas into his son's mind) believed that in order to become an effective killer/fighter, one should learn as much as possible about people; and especially, what drives them. Hence, he allowed his son to train this ability of his as long as he wished; as long as it hasn't overlapped with his already existing training sessions.
Toshiro gladly accepted and began practicing it. He used to sit in public areas for hours, simply observing others. It was fascinating to him. People seemed so complex; but from what he has seen, all of them shared the same patterns. And these patterns were; emotions and desires drive people, essentially. It has taken him two and a half years to reach that conclusion; an experience he has acquired from the academy and from observing people outside of it. Once he had reached that conclusion, he started applying it in his own life. He used to push people to corners; at first, subtly. He used to tease children playfully about their insecurities; seeing as it had an immediate effect on most of them, he kept taking these tease more and more seriously - up to the point where the children were complaining to the academy instructors that he is actively bullying them. But whenever they have;
Toshiro always found a way out of it. He managed to befriend these children once again by comforting them and apologizing for his mistakes, claiming he does not control his actions or that he was joking with them; taking a use of their naiive nature to manipulate and toy with them as much as he liked. As you can read; this man was definitely not behaving like a child. He was behaving more like a cruel teenager/adult. Maybe (quite possibly) it was due to the training sessions and the sightings he was exposed to ever since he was a small child, by his father, of course. These routines forced him to grow up quickly; because an average child wouldn't be able to kill an innocent rabbit just for the sake of hunting, or watching a brutally decapitated man, or being pushed to the extreme by his father, in almost every aspect; chakra, physical training sessions along with grueling sparring sessions. He had to grow up fast. He had to do everything in his power to become an adult at this early age. He had to toy and manipulate others to feel good about himself; as he was feeling like the puppet of his father. So to compensate for that feeling, he subtly toyed with his fellow students.
He had to.[break][break]
The academy was a joke to him. He excelled at every field of the compound easily. Ninjutsu especially was the easiest for him. The written exams were simple for him as well; so much so, that he hasn't even needed to sit and study much for them. The training routine his father forced him to undergo was a few times harder than that. He has trained his chakra so much prior and in addition to him entering the academy that in the academy it was already second nature to him. However, he hid it from his instructors and fellow students. While he was a good student, he didn't wish to try and distinguish himself as the brightest one in the academy, so he compromised. He was an excellent student; but not the best. And it was by his own choice.[break][break]
He has graduated from the academy at the age of 12. By now, he was already exceptionally controlling the first stage and slightly of the second stage of his Dojutsu. As time progressed, his father had him focus on training his Dojutsu more and more; as he believed that this gift of the clan is the major thing that could make
Toshiro truly shine above others. So, in addition to his natural talent in chakra control, he was being forced to go through rigorous Dojutsu training sessions, that consisted of him activating and focusing his chakra control solely on his Dojutsu for many hours. These training sessions truly made him develop his chakra control even further. He was assigned to a Genin team along with two girls;
Nohime Nina and Oda Sakura; both girls, along with him, were now 12 years of age. They knew him as the mean, yet, funny kid of the academy; and he was familiar with these two, who seemed to be good friends.[break][break]
[attr="class","hopelovetitle2"]Genin Years (ages 12-14)
[break]
The Gennin years proved to be interesting for the young Toshiro, who graduated from the academy shortly after he turned 12. You see, his promotion to the rank of Genin meant - harder training sessions. Harder training sessions meant that he was now spending all of his free time facing off against his father. And his father was not going to show any signs of mercy to his son. Not that he ever had, but now it meant that he would use a larger proportion of his strength against him, while still rendering his son healthy and functioning. Because, to his father, training and sparring mean nothing if the trainees aren't able to actually stay functioning after them. It meant that even though he wasn't going easy on his son, he still wanted to keep him alive and functioning. And so, a few times in a week, he had him and his son fighting against each other; he was making his child using almost every bit of his chakra. Which has forced him to learn how to hone his chakra control even further; he wasn't a kid who was born with a large chakra pool. He had an average chakra pool for an Himishi. Hence, he had to learn how to hone it. And so, even when he was a Genin, due to all the years of training, he had an exceptional chakra control. His routine for these years was; waking up early and train. Afterward, go and meet his team and practice and complete missions together. Afterward, he got back home and trained until he went to sleep. Repeat. Once a week, he was allowed a day off; which he invested to sit quietly and observe other people, as he was loving to do that. He absolutely loved watching others and learn a lot about life from everything he had observed; he additionally simply enjoyed watching the world remaining functioning and active.[break][break]
He bonded with his team of Genin quickly. The three became friends, and even though
Toshiro played pranks on them occasionally, they were still acceptive and fond of this man, as he was there for them. In truth, his objective was to pass the Chunnin exams along with them, and he was not foolish enough to think that he could accomplish this feat on his own. He knew that he had to work in perfect sync with his team members. Hence, he bonded with them. It was his interest. They have spent time completing mostly D-rank missions, and sometimes, even the rare C-rank missions together and training together; supervised by their teacher, Mamuro Iida, a Jounin of Iwagakure. The team was noted to work extremely well together, with the young Nohime Nina being in the lead.
Toshiro didn't mind having her in the lead, as long as they were capable to work effectively under her command. And she proved as a charismatic, beneficial young Kunoichi, definitely more than enough for
Toshiro and Sakura to consider her the leader. Sakura was the member of the team who was absolutely fond of medical Ninjutsu. She was always fond of it. But even though her chakra control was above average for Genin, she still hasn't managed to get to the level she wanted to get to. So,
Toshiro, who had a marvelous chakra control even in his rank and age, helped her as much as he possibly could to train her chakra control. And she was indeed steadily improving, able to invest her chakra control in a way that would allow her to learn more and more medical Jutsu. During their years together, the team spent their days bonding, completing missions, training and helping each other accomplish goals they wanted to. They were definitely working well together, their team-work was rarely even rivaled by the other Genin teams.[break][break]
And so, by the time
Toshiro was 14 their teacher has decided to apply this team to the upcoming Chunnin exams. By this age,
Toshiro was considered by his father, an especially powerful Shinobi, and his teacher, to arguably be one of the strongest, if not the holder of the title himself, Genin in Iwagakure by the time he was preparing for the Chunnin exams. His chakra control was rivaling even this of Chunnin, and according to his father, even this of Sp. Jounin; however,
Toshiro wasn't able to confirm this claim of his father, but he nevertheless believed it wholeheartedly. A thing
Toshiro hasn't shown anyone was his fear to fail the Chunnin exams. Not because it would say something about him. Oh no. But rather, because he was afraid to confront his father if and when he would. That was his motivation behind bonding with his teammates and training so hard to pass these exams. He couldn't bring himself, however, to openly show it to others. So he kept it repressed; locked away deep inside his soul, however, still anxious and very much affected by it. It would reveal a side of him he hasn't shown his teammates nor anyone else but his father, really, in the exams themselves. With this in mind, he entered the Chunnin exams.
[break][break]
[attr="class","hopelovetitle2"]Chūnin Exams & Beginning of the Chūnin Years (age 14)
[break]
The Chunnin exmas were something he was truly anxious about. Hence, on the day they started, he decided to focus everything he had in order to pass. Which meant, he was a lot quieter, colder and more focused on the exams at hand. His teammates, who were pretty anxious themselves, noticed this sudden change in his behaviour and their fear of the exams has increased; as they thought it takes a lot to make
Toshiro nervous about something, and that meant, that the exams were truly something to be afraid of. And so, the exams have started.
The first stage of the exams were solo battles. Every Genin who has won a battle passed to the next stage. The teams were disbanded for this stage and scattered so that the members would not have to fight each other. And so it started.
The first fight
Toshiro had was against a fellow Ninjutsu user. His opponent seemed around his age and was quite shorter and leaner than him. His enemy threw a kunai with an explosive tag attached to it at
Toshiro’s direction.
Toshiro easily dodged, using his slightly lower than average-control over the second stage of his Dojutsu that has allowed him to notice details at truly impressive rates, improving his visual abilities to an impressive level. He then threw a smoke bomb on the ground and took out a Kunai with tags attached to it and quickly launched the Raiton: Inazuma no Jutsu [Lightning Release: Lightning Bolt Technique]) at the opponent shortly after the smoke bomb was dropped to the ground and rushed to him, using the Body Flicker technique to arrive at him immediately after the Jutsu has landed at his enemy, bringing him down to the ground, causing him medium-sized burns and a sudden shock.
Toshiro was now holding a kunai next to his throat, forcing his enemy to surrender immediately.
The second stage was another series of solo-battles. However, now, slightly less than half of the participants have remained. Sakura, unfortunately, has failed to win against her enemy in her solo battle and failed the exams, however, Nina managed to win.
The winners were now scattered once again and it was ensured that no members would have to fight each other (original Genin team members who were formed before the exams). This time the arena was inside a closed compound. This fight was harder than the last fight for
Toshiro. He was now forced to utilize something even deadlier than his previous technique. His opponent now was seemingly a lot wiser than his previous opponent; coating himself in an Earth armor as soon as the fight has begun.
Toshiro knew that it would take a bit more than just a simple Jutsu to take his opponent off balance; who was now launching the Earth Flying Stones at
Toshiro. He managed to avoid every one of them with the use of his Dojutsu, all but one who hit his shoulder with its right side, not the entire boulder, and threw him to the ground. He groaned and rolled back, then stood up quickly. Toshiro then threw a smoke bomb on the ground and darted to the left while his opponent darted to the right himself. Meanwhile the user launched Earth Clay Clone technique that created 3 clones and sent them at the smoke cloud in order to capture
Toshiro. However, Toshiro wasn’t going to take the risk of staying in the same place against this opponent. He darted outside the smoke cloud, heading back and to the left and took out a few Kunai that have explosive tags attached to them. He then threw to smoke bombs, one to his right and one to his left and darted to his back, aiming to circle the smoke clouds and find the user. The clones were now inside the original, first smoke cloud and
Toshiro was able to see that the user has now been hiding inside a small dome of earth, using the Earth Cloak technique. He sent the three Kunai flying at the rock and as they landed
Toshiro activated the Fuinjutsu and caused them to explode. He then went on and launched the same technique he used earlier; the Lightning Bolt technique. The stone was already weakened by the explosive tags and was completely destroyed by the lightning technique. And as the hill shattered,
Toshiro was already standing a few meters away from the earth clouded Genin, his hands forming a triangle with raiton chakra already channeled to his hands. "
I can blow this thing up anytime now, you know. So why won’t you have your clones, who I already heard entering my smoke cloud, back off, huh? Or I could simply launch another bolt at your face and end things for you, forever” he said quietly to the Genin, now smiling. The genin had tried to resist. That was a bad option. So as soon as he moved,
Toshiro launched the lightning bolt aimed at the right side of his upper body. It shattered the armor immediately, sending the Genin back, as
Toshiro took out another kunai that has an explosive tag attached to it and threw it a few centimeters from his head that was now plastered to the ground.
The Genin surrendered.
It was clear to
Toshiro that after the exams, he should hone his control over his Dojutsu even further. It wasn’t acceptable for him to be hit by a stone. It nearly dislocated his shoulder. However, besides from that, he managed to win the battle while marching quite unharmed, aside from his wounded shoulder. Turns out that his teammate, Nohime Nina, passed this second stage as well. It was quite pleasing to her that.
The next stage took place in two forests. Only 0.20 of the members who started remained in the exams. The remaining members were split into three equal teams, ensuring again, that no examinee has to fight his original teammate. The objective was quite simple. On each big team, the first 15 Genin to arrive at the destination, which was located exactly 10 kilometers from the starting point, would pass the exam. There was no time limit. The Genin needed to follow a path in order to arrive at the spot, however, this was not obligatory, as the Genin could figure out a way to arrive at this point themselves. Battle was permitted. And throughout the forests, instructors and spectators would be ready to offer medical help if someone needed it. What the examinees didn’t know was that throughout the forests, obstacles were posted. These obstacles were wire traps, smoke bombs and even non-lethal lightning traps, those that could easily send someone deep to unconsciousness, only for a minute at best, though; but definitely more than enough to make someone late to the destination point. However, each trap that was laid down had tracks leading to it. The instructors haven’t covered these tracks.
The third stage has now started.
Toshiro had on choice but to rush to the other side. Everybody rushed there. It was a 10 kilometer race. Toshiro, being agile for his age and his build, rushed there along with everybody else. But as soon as he took the first step, he began considering the option that something isn’t right about this. It can’t be so easy. So he activated his Dojutsu, just to be sure. At this point, he was amongst those who were in the lead. He was intending to run all the way there, which would ideally take him, in his current shape, 40 minutes if he were to use the body flicker technique once. He had taken into account that somewhere during the race, he would be thrown into battle. Hence he diverted himself from the path, only a few meters, though. He was running steadily through the forest while activating his Dojutsu sometimes to make sure he was indeed running in the right direction, based on the footprints he discovered, of the other examinees, of course. The choice to get off the marked path was discovered to be a successful one. People were steadily encountering traps that held them back, while he evaded everything, so far. Some people were losing consciousness due to shock-traps, some were tripping on their faces due to wire traps and some were losing their sense of direction due to the smoke bombs they activated by a mistake. At this point the fights between the different Genin had begun. Those who were affected by the traps were attacked by those who managed to avoid them. Meanwhile,
Toshiro increased the distance between himself and the marked path in order to avoid other examinees. Everything was going smoothly so far. But around the 6th kilometer, he almost feel victim to a trap himself. It was only due to luck and his enhanced reflexes that he hasn’t lost consciousness. He fell on his face due to a wire-trap and when he stood up, he almost stepped on a shock-trap that was laid next to the wire trap. He managed to activate his Dojutsu exactly at the right moment and avoided stepping on the trap, thus, saving himself from failing the competition. He immediately kept running towards the finishing point. He managed to regain his sense of direction after he fell to the trap and now knew exactly where he was running towards.
The true challenge was discovered in the 8th kilometer. All of the remaining Genin suddenly stopped. They were standing on a tall cliff, that stood well over 600 meters above the ground. The only thing that would allow them to pass to the other side was a thin, wooden, loose bridge that connected between the cliff and the rest of the forest.
Toshiro arrived as one of the last Genin to arrive at the bridge. No one crossed it yet, as everybody tried to push the others in order to cross it, and no one was given the chance to attempt to cross it yet, as everybody were fighting each other. Arriving as one of the last Genin gave him an advantage of sorts; he was out of the fight. He had enough time to plan his steps. He hid and took a few moments to take a few deep breaths and regain some energy. While everyone was fighting he already planned something in his mind.
And so, he executed his plan. He flanked everyone from the right side, and when he got to the bridge, he was almost met by a group of Genin who blocked him from stepping on the bridge. Behind them was laid an Earth Wall someone had created in order to further limit everybody else from stepping on it. Earlier, when he was planning his steps,
Toshiro managed to tie an explosive tag to a smoke bomb. He threw it on the ground slightly before he faced the other examinees and detonated it. He didn’t care if it would land a fatal blow on them, but that wasn’t his plan. He planned to distract them. And so, his goal was accomplished. Now the only thing that was keeping him from accessing the bridge was a tall, thick and wide earth wall. That was the right time to launch the Jutsu he has been planning earlier: The "Lightning Bolt” technique. He quickly formed the triangle with his hands and released the bolt from his palms; causing the earth wall to weaken considerably. To completely break it, he threw a Kunai with two explosive tags attached to it at the wall and it finally broke down. All of the other examinees shifted their gaze to the exposed bridge. Everybody fought to get there. Now
Toshiro was in the lead. He sprinted all the way across the bridge. He was the one in the lead, with 40 other members behind him (the bridge was formidable enough to hold even a 100 people, by the by). He didn’t have time to deal with all of them, and he wasn’t foolish enough to think he could outrun some of them, so instead he utilized the final step of the plan he had in mind. He channeled chakra to his hands and launched the "Lightning Bolt” technique on the bridge, cutting it in half almost immediately. As soon as the technique was launched, he grabbed tightly to one of the wooden planks as it swung towards the other end of the forest. While glancing back, he had seen that 20 other Genin seemingly prepared to face this incident, that the bridge would be torn into two, and grabbed tightly to a few wooden planks that were attached by metal to the rest of the bridge and to the other side of the forest. There were Genin who fell down, seemingly, to the end of their lives, however, the instructors have prepared for the possibility of the bridge getting torn in one way or another and laid down a massive softened net 100 or so meters below the bridge, one that would catch those who would fall down without damaging their bodies.
Toshiro was the first one to climb up and rush to the other side of the forest. He was now 1.7 kilometers away from the winning point. He planned to use every last bit of strength and chakra in order to win this competition. He also diverted from the marked path in order to avoid the other members and any possible traps. He activated his Dojutsu yet again, this time, starting to feel the effects of fatigue and chakra-depletion beginning to take effect, but he hasn’t given up. He had examined the ground to look for any traps and was fortunate enough to avoid 13 of them using his Dojutsu and enhanced senses. He didn’t even keep track of other members. All he wanted was to win.
And so, he ran, and finally crossed another 1.5 kilometers. He was already beginning to see tracks of other Genin as he got closer and closer to the marked path that led to the winning point. He thought he had lost. But he didn’t give up yet. It was a just a thought. He wouldn’t let a thought take his victory away from him, as now, he still didn’t know if he had lost or not. He wanted to see it for himself. And so, after sprinting for 100 meters, completely fatigued, he stopped activating his Dojutsu and focused every last bit of chakra and strength to his legs. He activated the body flicker technique and managed to cross 40 meters using it. It was now 60 meters between him and the finishing point. And while had seen other Genin there, they were no more than 3, according to his count (which was badly affected by the fatigue). So he sprinted. He used every bit of strength he had in order to reach the spot. His legs hurt like hell, but he hasn’t complained. He wanted to cry in pain, but not yet. Only 60 more meters. The weights tied to his ankles for 2 years now thanks to his father (they weren't tied to his ankles at that moment, though) has brought him to the point where he was now extraordinarily fast.
And so, he had made it. He arrived as the 4th Genin. He was now a Chunnin.
After the exams, he was taken to a medic who discovered that
Toshiro had damaged his cruciate ligaments to the point of slightly tearing it; which required him to rest for a month or so. It was due to the use of the body flicker technique after he already applied pressure on his legs much earlier. And so, he went back to the village along with his teammates. Sakura had failed the exams, but Nohime Nina passed. Which was something he was glad about. He wanted at least one of them to pass the exams as well. He felt quite bad for Sakura because she didn’t manage to pass the exams, but he knew he could help her train for the next one.
As soon as he got back home, his father smiled at him. He had heard that he managed to pass the exams. He knew that
Toshiro could do it. And so, after such a long time, he hugged him again.
Toshiro now rested for a month. Except for the training sessions that did not require any movement which were the chakra-control training sessions that were adjusted to fit
Toshiro’s current situation,
Toshiro rested. He had some time to do his favorite activity, which was, at the time, observing the village and the people of it from afar. Simply sitting somewhere, grabbing a hot-drink and watching the day simply going by. These ‘grey’ activities were truly joyous for the young man. He slept well every day and simply rested.
After he healed he returned back to his training routine, though, his return to it was gradual, as his father and himself did not want to put any unnecessary stress on his right knee for now. Only when it would be completely healed they would return to the grueling physical training sessions. and was selected to fill in the position of a gate-guard in the meantime, as the village was short on gate-guards back in these days. His days as a gate-guard were something he enjoyed. Inside the village, nothing much happened. These were quiet days where he got to train a lot, yet not to extensively and simply watch other people going about their day. It was peaceful. In these days he got to train his Dojutsu more than anything else. After the events of the Chunnin Exams, he reached the conclusion that he needs to increase his control over his Dojutsu. Hence, he dedicated nearly all of his training, which was now not physical, mostly only to honing his control over his Dojutsu. Training it for 9-10 months after the Chunnin exams has now made him be able to access all of the abilities of the second stage of his Dojutsu , in comparison to the duration of the Chunin exams, in which, he had only a partial control over the abilities of the second stage of his Dojutsu. And, have quite an impressive control over them, being able to activate it with a chakra cost that allowed him to activate it for slightly longer periods of time than he could have activated it for during the Chunin exams.
Shortly before he turned 15, the 3rd Shinobi World War ended. And as it did,
Toshiro requested a transfer to be assigned to an operations team. Not because he disliked the role of being a gate-guard. But rather, because he was aiming to become a part of the ANBU. And he knew that in order to do that, he needs to distinguish himself as a capable Shinobi. And that could only be done if he would get a chance to prove himself. And that chance to prove himself would likely reveal itself if he joins an operations team. And if doesn’t reveal itself by then, he will make it reveal itself, or will create one that will allow him to prove himself. He was determined to join the ANBU. Because he believed, along with his father, that he will learn the most effective, brutal ways to win a fight and will become the strong Shinobi that he so deeply wants to become, under the guidance of the highly experienced ANBU.
And so, a few days after his 15th birthday, his request was approved. He was assigned to Operations Team 3.
[break][break]
[attr="class","hopelovetitle2"]Taking Another Step (ages 15-17)
[break]
Toshiro joined the operations team along with two other members he met at the academy, and also passed the Chunnin exams along with him - a boy, Masahiro Nobunaga, and another boy, Oda Iida. Both were older than him, however, they have seemingly passed the Chunnin exams right when he had. They were both 17 years of age. They have bonded relatively quickly, as
Toshiro did not have any ill will against these two. The opposite, actually. He knew that if they would bond, they could help him reach his goal, which is to be recruited to the ANBU of the village. So he made friends with them quickly. The leader of their team, Nohime Haru, was a previous ANBU member himself. However, he didn’t let any of them know it, because he wanted to keep his former role a secret.[break][break]
You see, these years, that were filled with many missions and grueling training sessions, exposed a new side of
Toshiro to the public. The side that he didn’t really mind but hasn’t shown to others frequently. The brutal, manipulative side of him. This side of eventually broke out in a rather shocking incident during one of the rare B-ranked missions (this mission was later discovered to be an A-ranked mission, but more on that later) he has completed. Of course that this side of him broke for a reason. He felt obliged to show it to the others by using cruel tactics with a relatively casual demeanor. I will explain right away. He was 15 years and 3 months old when it did, by the by. The mission objective was to capture a Chunin in one of the smaller towns on the Land of Earth who was suspected of dealing drugs inside Iwagakure. The intel on him showed that he was nothing more than a simple, independent (as in, works alone) drug dealer, and that he had no connections to a bigger organization/group of criminals. However, what
Toshiro and his team were about to find out was completely different. Their plan was to impersonate to possible clients and close a deal with this man. However, what they didn’t know, is that the intel they had on this man was not completely accurate. This man was not working alone. He was working under a criminal. A criminal that was so strong that he could rival even a Jounin. And this criminal, on this day specifically, decided to watch over his worker, the Chunnin, who he was suspecting of consuming some of the drugs he had been dealing with others, and accompany him to the outskirts of Iwagakure, where
Toshiro’s team was preparing to close the deal with this dealer, and additionally, bring two other Chunnin workers of him along with him in order to kill this worker of his and keep his hands out of it, while only watching over the process from afar and provide help if needed.[break][break]
Toshiro’s team had a plan. Oda Iida would present himself as the customer while the others would flank him from behind. Simple. However, something unexpected happened. This Chunin laid lifeless on the floor while two people wearing a hoodie were standing over him. This is when it became clear it was much more than a B-ranked mission. At this point, only Iida himself was there. He was shouting for help as he rushed towards the masked individuals. He managed to keep them occupied as the rest of the team arrived at the scene. The criminal’s boss was rushing towards them as the rest of team did the same thing. The hooded individuals ran away as they were being chased by the group of the Ops. team and were finally arriving at a tall cliff outside of Iwagakure where they couldn’t run anymore. So they fought.[break][break]
And after a long, grueling fight,
Toshiro himself managed to take down one of the Chunin and hold off his own against the criminal who was even able to rival a Jounin, until his leader came and finished the job for him. This side of
Toshiro was exposed, however, when he stood over the wounded criminal (one of the other Chunin) and attempted to interrogate him. A smile plastered on his face as he did. He had told the criminal that the fate that awaits him by the village is only tenth as bad as what he is going to do to him now. This was his method to get him to talk; intimidate him. He whispered to him that he is going to apply so much pressure on his nerves that he is going to lose his sanity, smiling as he did. He trailed a kunai all over the man’s arms as he did; giggling slightly as he did. The criminal wasn’t exactly afraid. However, he was shocked. He wanted to get out of there. This black-haired Chunin who was whispering all these things to him was creepy enough to not fuck around with. So he attempted to pull out his kunai and stab
Toshiro.
Toshiro, however, stabbed him deeply in his mid-thigh, causing the man to scream. He then went on and stabbed him two more times in the other thigh, his face cold as he did. He stared at the criminal in the eyes as he stabbed him for the second time and left the kunai stuck in his leg. He didn’t say a word. His gaze was enough. The man screamed once again. This time, it was a scream of panic. Iida rushed to them and applied first aid to the man, as he was a medic.[break][break]
The team leader, who wasn’t close to
Toshiro’s location, heard everything from him later in the mission’s report.
Toshiro openly and casually admitted that he was smiling and stabbing the criminal coldly because he wanted to interrogate him and he believed that in this way, the man would break. And well, he kind-of enjoyed it. His leader then asked
Toshiro what he wanted to do later in life. If he was interested in becoming an ANBU member, for example. As from what he have seen and heard,
Toshiro was the perfect candidate from their team to join the ANBU.
Toshiro wanted to be an ANBU member.
Toshiro nodded. And then,
Toshiro’s training to join the ANBU began, this time, supervised by his team leader, not only his father.[break][break]
Toshiro’s team leader already knew that
Toshiro had an exceptional chakra and Dojutsu control and that he was not a person who bad for hurting others. He knew he was committed and professional from their previous missions that they have completed together. So he wanted to help him maximize his capabilities by training him in his own way. Which was very similar to his father’s teachings, but differently from his father’s teachings,
Toshiro’s leader focused on agility. You see, during the training sessions
Toshiro had with his father, they have indeed trained Idaten's agility, but it still wasn't as potent as Idaten's teacher wanted it to be for him to qualify for the ANBU, at least, for the position he had in mind for the teenager. So, they put more emphasis on agility training than the time Idaten has trained with his father.[break][break]
And thus, advanced nearly one year of training. At this point,
Toshiro was already able to control the second stage now much better; effectively making him an expert if not even above an expert of this stage, and gain an understanding of the rarest aspect of his Dojutsu, the third stage. He was not able to control it at all, though. His understanding of it came in the form on him discovering that by completely accepting that the past could not longer be changed, he could learn from it and analyze his opponent and or environment to the point of him being able to predict some of their moves. And the practical side of it meant that his chakra control was now a lot better, thanks to his training with his team leader. By the point
Toshiro was sixteen and a few days, he was already considered an exceptionally capable Shinobi; completing 2 rare A-ranked missions in addition to the one he completed when he was 15, in addition to lower-ranked missions, of course. Hence, a few days after he turned 16, he was promoted to the rank of Special Jounin. He was proving to be a calm and collected, capable, efficient, committed and self-disciplined shinobi. His team leader greatly recommended his promotion.[break][break]
As time progressed,
Toshiro minded his father less and less. His words, while still significant to him, were not guiding him. He was now driven by himself. By his own will to become to strongest Shinobi. He was more intent on improving for himself rather than for his father. His anxiety from failing was driving him to become stronger and stronger. After his father heard of
Toshiro’s actions during the mission, he began worrying that
Toshiro might be slightly too brutal. More than he intended him to be, at least. It sounded to him like he was enjoying doing it.
Toshiro always had, though. It was just the first time that someone else noticed it. He loved toying with people, even to the point of causing them physical and emotional pain. His father, however, was still not aware of this. But during the following years, he will be aware of it, to the point of him not wanting to believe it.[break][break]
By the time he was seventeen,
Toshiro has finally accomplished his goal. After completing even more missions along with his team, he has proven himself worthy enough to join the ANBU.
[break][break]
[attr="class","hopelovetitle2"]ANBU (ages 17-22)
[break]
A few days after he turned seventeen,
Toshiro joined the ANBU. He was now a Special Jounin and has been especially recommended by his Ops team leader to join the group. A force of ANBU agents has been observing him. And fairly enough, after more than an year of observing him, they have decided he was a worthy candidate to join the ANBU.[break][break]
And thus, his training has begun, supervised by the ANBU captain of his group. He had learned a lot of lessons that would help him to execute his missions better. The most important lesson was, however, the necessity to hone the ‘primitive’ side of himself. You see, in the ANBU,
Toshiro has been taught that human creatures act in two main ways; they either use their thinking side or their primitive side. Under stress that puts the individual in the face of a form of extreme danger, the thinking side doesn’t work anymore. That is when the primitive side kicks in. There is no need to think, as only the subconsciousness works; instincts and reflexes kick in. The body acts according to them and does whatever it can to survive. He had learned that the best way to become the ultimate fighter is to hone this side of the brain as much as he can as well as being able to think under extreme stress - use the shortest of time windows and simply think as quickly as possible. Now this feat could already be achieved by
Toshiro because of his Dojutsu and his keen intellect, however, his reflexes, while relatively honed, were still not developed to their fullest extent. That is when he began training them on a much higher volume.[break][break]
When he was 17 and two months, he and his team went out to their first mission. It was an A-ranked mission. This mission was dedicated to capturing a serial killer that was lurking in a large town in the Land of Earth. They were a team of 3 people against one serial killer. They had a tracker and a sensor on the team in addition to
Toshiro. This serial killer was a shinobi of an unknown village who was responsible for the death of 15 people. The assistance of an ANBU team of Iwagakure was requested.
Toshiro’s team has received information that this serial killer attempted to end the life of a possible victim in a few hours after they have arrived. They had time to prepare the field and wait for the criminal. This is when
Toshiro learned the significance of remaining absolutely hidden from his enemy, even hours before the fights, as the enemy might be able to spot him when he is preparing the field for the fight. He had learned the lesson as soon as he believed they have finished preparing the field for the criminal.
Toshiro observed a footprint close to the field as he scanned the area before the fight was planned to take place. He activated his Jutsu and observed that it was still relatively fresh and that it was a man due to the weight and the size of the footprint that he had managed to observe and that he was moving rather slowly. The properties of the footprint have shown that it the wielder of it was answering the information they have received about the serial killer. With his Dojutsu activated he approached his team-mates to notify them of the footprint that was in the middle of a deserted area and saw the tracker engaged in combat with the criminal they have planned to arrest (they have received information about his appearance so he was able to know it was him). The sensor was still relatively far away from them as he remained on the outskirts of the village in order to sense the serial killer if he would actually be approaching them.
Toshiro used the body flicker technique and, using his Dojutsu, was able to process the information his brain received from his environment at a heightened speed, hence he was able to react faster and devise a plan to take down his enemy.[break][break]
It was a difficult battle, in which, both
Toshiro and his team-mate were wounded, but luckily, due to the plan
Toshiro devised and they have managed to win. Their enemy was a wielder of the Raiton, Doton, and Futon chakra elements. He was agile and excelled both in Ninjutsu and Bukijutsu, hence, he could fight both in long and short distances away from his opponents. Additionally, he was an experienced fighter, hence, he had an advantage over
Toshiro in that department. The plan was fairly simple but extremely effective. It took a lot of preparation and an ability to stay alive and keep the enemy occupied; the tracker took that role, as he was a Taijutsu specialist.
Toshiro, using his agility, circled around the field and placed a wire around the two. It was going well for the first few seconds when the attacker shifted his attention to
Toshiro and spawned clones to try and take him down for good. He had managed to hold his own for a few minutes with help from his teammate. With every minute and with the help of clones he was able to execute another small part of his plan until finally, he had led the attacker right into the trap. He was now circled with wire. The tracker and
Toshiro were outside of it.
Toshiro quickly channeled Raiton through the wire as the tracker threw a kunai with an explosive tag attached to it. The attacker was missing a leg and was now unconscious, lying on the ground next to them.
Toshiro used the Nagori Shūkaku [Memory Harvest] technique on the enemy in order to confirm it was indeed him. He then had the sensor, who was a medic, serving medial aid to him in order to keep him alive but still not able to fight. Under
Toshiro’s guidance, they were able to complete the mission successfully, arresting the criminal and preventing another death. However,
Toshiro was not proud of himself. Due to the aspect he has neglected to check, which was, if the criminal was in their area, he exposed himself and his teammate to unnecessary danger. Additionally, he intended to learn a technique that could bind enemies in such situations.[break][break]
During the next month, he trained and slowly learned another technique that he believed he had needed. It was also during this month that in addition to his training he was exposed to a new, interesting technique which was more of an ability; the mind eye of Kagura. This technique allowed the user to sense individuals in ranges that exceed even 10 kilometers. As soon as he heard about it, he knew he needed to learn it. And so, he began training it. He kept thinking more and more about how he could do it. At that time, there was one user in Iwagakure who was a Jounin, who could control it. He was an ANBU captain. He had began training
Toshiro to control this technique. At the end of this month, he was able to open the mind’s eye and control it in the range of 4 kilometers. He was able to control it so quickly because he had a magnificent chakra control, even for his age, and because he was simply an exceptionally talented Shinobi. It was during the next mission at the end of this month that he was able to put it to use in combat.[break][break]
When he was 17 and 3 months,
Toshiro was sent on the first S-ranked mission along with three other ANBU members, three of them were Jounin. One of them was the Kagura Shingan user, the second one was a medic and the others were trackers. This mission was to assassinate an S-rank missing-nin who was the head of a criminal organization. This missing-nin was in Iwagakure’s bingo book for a few years now. He was able to kill 3 Shinobi who were sent after him due to his extreme proficiency with his clan’s KKG, which was, Jinton (he was a Nohime). The ANBU has received information that he was hosting a meeting of his organization in the Land of Iron in a few weeks from the point when they were given the mission. Their plan was to infiltrate the building where the meeting was hosted disguised as members of the organization. All of the people who were sent on the mission were able to utilize sensory techniques, hence, they were able to mask their own chakra signature and thus blend with the environment. They had a few weeks to blend in and when the time was right, they would launch the plan. The plan was to catch the leader by surprise when he was in his personal room while using a series of techniques to bind him and assassinate him while the fourth ANBU agent was placing a sensing barrier in the room (
link to the sensing barrier technique).[break][break]
And so, after a few weeks of gaining his trust, the plan was set in motion. This was the first time
Toshiro had witnessed the work of a team of experienced ANBU Jounin. He was responsible of performing the Lighting Release: Bolt technique he was learning during the month of training he had gone through. Two other members were responsible of launching the Fuuton: Kazekiri and the Raiton: Hiraishin [Lightning Release: Lightning Rod] techniques respectively. The missing-nin was first trapped by the four pillars of lightning, then cut and immobilized by the Futon technique and lastly being struck by the lightning rod technique, and afterwards, being pierced with multiple Kunai to assure the missing-nin’s death. This mission, while on surface, looking too easy, took a toll on the agents. It was hard to blend in the organization. They have almost been exposed a few times, and thus, would have easily lost their lives if they indeed would have lost their lives. The really hard part of the mission, though, was escaping. Their plan made a lot of noise, you see. Which sent the missing-nin’s executives running at his room almost instantly. They were in the middle of escaping through the roof of the building. It was a long pursuit until the border of Iwagakure. Even though the team managed to fend off the first attackers, at some point it became nearly impossible. They had to hide and escape for days. After a month and a half since they were sent on the mission, they returned to the border of Iwagakure; all while wearing their masks. At the border the attackers were no longer pursuing them. As they returned,
Toshiro felt the greatest feeling of pride he had ever felt. He had completed the hardest mission so far in his career and lived to tell the tale. Of course that because of his OCD, he wasn’t completely proud of himself. There are still some things he believed he could have done better. That feeling of self-doubt, while not as intense as pride, still rang in his mind loud and clear. After the mission and after the agents had a week or so to recover they hosted a meeting to draw conclusions from this mission. For example, now they know that the escape route and the plan itself could not make any noise because they never know how many people are chasing them. The very fact that this team survived is a miracle by itself. Even the best of Shinobi make a lot of mistakes sometimes. And even though this mission was a successful one at the end, they could have easily lost their lives in the process. Throughout the mission,
Toshiro has demonstrated a very impressive ability to remain calm and collected under this extreme situation of the attackers pursuing them. He had used his abilities to contribute and spot incoming attackers, by examining their footprints with the use of his Dojutsu. Even though he couldn’t bring himself to admit it, he contributed much more than he thought he had to them coming back alive to the village. He was being observed much closer now. Him being promoted to the rank of Jounin was not looking so far away now, especially due to the fact that even after this grueling experience, he remained functioning and was capable enough to be willing to draw conclusions out of this mission. He was always looking to improve.[break][break]
During the next few months, they have trained harder and harder together. They simulated more and more scenarios that could pose problems in the future. This was the life of a black operations agent. Training, simulating scenarios, completing missions, repeat. This cycle, while very harsh in the eyes of most, was very acceptable in the eyes of the young
Toshiro. He was able to adapt extremely quickly and quite enjoyed it. There were busier and there were less busy times for the young
Toshiro, but regardless, that was his routine.[break][break]
And so, a year passed since he joined the ANBU. He was now 18 years of age when the date of his promotion to a Jounin, and thus, a squad-leader in the ANBU was drawing near. By now, he had completed 1 S-ranked mission 4 A-ranked missions, 4 B and 1 C ranked missions while demonstrating superb intellect, collectiveness and a calmed mind, exceptional Ninjutsu and Chakra control, professionalism, a will to constantly improve and an outstanding degree of leadership during missions and even during training sessions. You see, even outside of the missions he had completed, he was in charge of running many simulations of scenarios that the agents could prepare for and taught them techniques to learn a lot about a person from his footprints simply. And while on missions, he always stuck to the mission’s objective while doing his best to keep his teammates and innocent civilians alive. He stuck to professionalism as much as he could. After every mission, he was the first member to suggest to commence a conclusions-drawing meeting. He always sought to improve further and further. Additionally, during this year, his control over his Dojutsu was now even better. He was now regarded a master of the second stage of it. His chakra control also improved significantly; it was hard to tell that he was a special Jounin anymore due to his abilities and performance on the ANBU. His control over the mind’s eye of the Kagura exceeded; he could now keep it open often in the range of 12 kilometers at the age of 18.[break][break]
It was one more A-ranked mission that bought him the title of Jounin. He was tasked to guard a V.I.P along with three other members. This V.I.P was the leader of a small town in the land of Earth and was targeted by a political rival. The V.I.P and
Toshiro’s group were confronted on their way to Iwagakure where this town’s leader would meet the council of Iwagakure by 5 Shinobi.
Toshiro, however, was prepared for such a scenario. He had already planned the path they would take. Which meant to entrap it properly before they would walk it along with the individual. He covered it with smoke bombs and explosive tags. As soon as he had seen the first Shinobi on the road, he had activated his Dojutsu, just to be sure. When the 4 other Shinobi emerged from their hiding, he activated, along with his teammates, the traps he had in mind. The formed a small circle around the V.I.P and he had used the Kagura Shingan ability when the smoke clouds covered the area. He was able to sense the Shinobi and had one of the other agents who were able to move soundlessly through the field and planted explosive tags mere millimeters away from their legs. When the smoke cleared the V.I.P was already carried away from them and only two of the four ANBU remained there.
Toshiro and another one remained there, a smile plastered on
Toshiro ‘s face under the mask he was wearing. The explosive tags the ANBU planted earlier were mere millimeters away from their legs. With a simple hand-seal,
Toshiro (as he supplied the other ANBU with the explosive tags) could end it all. He was simply performing it, but still not channeling chakra to it, to send a warning to the Shinobi. They decided to move. However,
Toshiro ‘s Dojutsu was still on. The rate in which he perceived information was extraordinary due to the Dojutsu. He had blown up the explosive tags and mutated the legs of the Shinobi while using the body flicker technique, along with his teammate, to pin them to the ground. As soon as they were pinned to the ground, the ANBU agents popped 3 more smoke bombs, sliced their throats and escaped from the place towards the V.I.P who was carried by two other agents. However, before their throats were sliced,
Toshiro had used the memory harvest technique on two of them in order to find out if they were indeed sent by the political rival who hired them as mercenaries; it turned out that they were not even Shinobi of the Land of Earth. It turned out that they were. They then took a few minutes to completely rid of their bodies, which, with the use of
Toshiro ‘s Dojutsu, was perfect, as he removed every track and sign of their existence. They regrouped a few hundreds of meters and carried the individual to Iwagakure. There, they have reported that they have eliminated 5 mercenaries who were hired to end the life of the V.I.P which was confirmed by
Toshiro‘s Dojutsu (that they were indeed mercenaries).[break][break]
Two months after that mission, in which he completed an additional A-ranked mission, he was promoted to the rank of Jounin by the age of 18 and 2.5 months. He was now promoted to lead a squad of ANBU agents, in the age of only 18 and 2.5 months. He didn’t see it at the time, but it was an incredible achievement.[break][break]
A few weeks under his promotion he was given an A-ranked mission by the Jounin Hanchou. The mission was to infiltrate and destroy the weapons’ storage of a criminal organization which operates inside the Land of Earth. This organization was supplying many criminals who operate in the Land of Earth and needed to be taken care of.
Toshiro was given permission to form a team of ANBU agents. He picked a medic and two ANBU members of the Blasting Corps of which one was a sensor. His plan was to form a sensing barrier on the team. He made sure that he would pick Shinobi who knew how to move quietly for the mission. His plan was simply to destroy the warehouses of the organization, which were located in an abandoned mine. He thought that the best way to do it was to ensure no one was inside the mine and completely blow it up. In order to do it perfectly, he assigned two Blasting Corps members to his team. He would also entrap a part of the road they would take to the mine if they would be chased on their way back to Iwagakure.[break][break]
And so, it took them a few days to arrive at the area close to the mine. Using
Toshiro’s sensing abilities, he was able to determine that there are 10 people guarding the mine and 20 people inside it at the time he was sensing it. Hence he decided to wait for a few days and observe the mine in different hours of the day. He observed the mine for 3 days from afar using his sensing abilities and he determined that at night, between 03:00 and 04:00 normally there are only 5 people guarding the mine and there is no one inside it. Now their plan was fully set in motion. They waited until 03:00 and snuck into the mine. The sensor put up a sensing barrier around them and kept it active as they scanned the cave. It was lighted with torches and had paths ornating it. Using
Toshiro’s sensing abilities and he was able to detect the weapons’ storage area inside the mine based on the number of people gathered there during the day. They arrived at the room and the Blasting Corps’ members planted the explosive around the room, doing it quietly, and they quickly escaped. They managed to sneak in and out of the mine without the guards noticing them. They have planted a wire that was connected to the explosives and by channeling Katon into it they could make them explode. The two Blasting Corps’ members were tasked to do it while
Toshiro and the other ANBU member would set a plan to immobilize and potentially arrest the guards.
Toshiro circled around the guards with his razor wire and began channeling chakra into it, enough chakra to send them deeply into unconsciousness. As soon as they lost their consciousness the Blasting Corps’ members detonated the explosive inside the cave.
Toshiro used the ‘Memory Harvest’ technique on the unconscious guards and learned the place where the organization’s head was lurking in. They have proceeded to arrest them all, carrying them with the use of Shadow clones back to Iwagakure. Using the intel they have received from the memories of the criminals
Toshiro was able to learn that this organization had its rivals, and so, he did his best to make this explosion they have made look like it was an assault of an enemy organization, and he had succeeded. They messed up the mine to make it look as if it was a sloppy work, not the work of professionals and left trails of blood sprayed on the ground (using an amount of his own blood; as he was worried that if he would leave trails of animals’ blood, the organization’s members would be able to tell the difference) The first mission of him as a Jounin was a success.[break][break]
During the next two months or so left until the next mission he had trained and simulated scenarios to prepare for while out on missions, just as usual. Using the intel he had gathered about the organization, he was now tasked to assassinate its leader and top 3 officers, it was an S-ranked mission. When he would do that, the Blasting Corps would proceed to destroy the organization’s HQ. That was bound to be a hard mission but he knew he could do it. He was given two months to prepare for that mission (two months since the end of his previous mission) and he was free to gather and build a team of his choosing. Using his Dojutsu he studied the organization’s quarters and the members of it. Based off the interrogation and the memories he had studied during these two months (of the criminals) he was able to learn a lot about the routine of the organization’s leader and thus devised a plan to take him down during one of the time-windows he was alone in. He has been given intel that the organization’s headquarters still stand, even after the mission he had completed (of completely destroying the organization’s weapons storage which was located in a different area). The organization in the meantime which was keeping a large amount of weapons in the original HQ proceeded to build an additional storage unit and went on to assassinate the rival organization which they were led to believe caused the attack. When the organization’s head realised it was not the enemies of his who arranged the attack on his storage unit, it was already too late, because the team
Toshiro assembled were already on their way to the HQ. He picked a team of silent-killing masters - composed of a medic and a sensor and two other members who were silent-killing masters, one of them being a Genjutsu specialist. He, as usual, entrapped part of the road he planned to take in case they would be chased. It was an early morning hour when they successfully managed to sneak into the building; a sensing barrier, as usual, placed around them. Their steps; quiet, almost soundless. They simulated this scenario countless times; the scenario of breaking into the leader’s room and taking him out quietly.
Toshiro had forced the members to memorize the building and memorize the plan he had in mind for them countless times in these two months of preparation. They have entered the room and observed the leader sleeping next to a young woman. They have injected a toxic that kills a person after a minute or so into the leader’s bloodstream. The woman wasn’t even able to hear them coming in and out of the room, as this was done by the two silent-killing masters. So far, the plan was going out well.[break][break]
It was only when they killed the final officer that everything went to hell. A loud scream was heard from the room of the deceased leader. The woman had woken up to visit the toilet, and when she woke up, the leader was laying there, lifeless. She attempted to wake him up to ask him about the location of the toilet, as this was her first time in his room, and then she discovered he is dead. She screamed too many times. This alerted the guards who were patrolling in the building. They rushed into the room of the leader and coursed through the hallways in order to notify the top 3 officers; all found dead.
Toshiro’s team was already at the entrance to the building when they encountered a force of 15 guards.
Toshiro threw a smoke bomb at the ground and activated his Dojutsu to observe incoming attacks quickly. He launched a few kunai with explosive tags attached to them and detonated them as soon as they pierced the guards’ bodies. They began running as fast as they could, but it was to no avail, as they were getting cornered and attacked with elemental Jutsu of nearly every element. One agent who panicked was targeted by a guard who launched a lightning bolt at him; piercing through his heart like a boiling knife cutting through butter. The next proceeded to do their best to escape. While they were running, a stary kunai with an explosive tag tied to it found its way to an agent’s leg and it blew up immediately; mutating the agent’s instantly. They were now 3 ANBU left alive including
Toshiro, of course. It was in this scenario that he learned what an attack by so many opponents felt like. It was chaotic. He had no time to think. All he wanted to do was get him and his team out of there alive. Despite the commands he had ordered them to follow, which was to stick close to him, they were simply too occupied trying to defend themselves and 2 of them found their deaths. The living members who suffered wounds were now on their way back to Iwagakure. He activated the traps he had laid further down the road and with the help of them and his quick wit and Dojutsu they were able to escape back to Iwagakure. On their way, after they have managed to escape from the people chasing after them, they had regrouped with the Blasing Corps members who were assigned to blow up the HQ.
Toshiro warned them that they are being followed and told them to abort the mission. Thus, they all returned to Iwagakure to reassess the situation. They returned to the Jounin Hanchou HQ and let them know about the events of the mission. They re-assessed the situation and sent 3 ANBU teams to continue and blow up the HQ, the intel
Toshiro had gained during the events of the mission.
Toshiro’s team was, however, instructed to remain in Iwagakure. They had two weeks to recover. After these two weeks, they hosted the conclusions drawing meeting. There it was noted by
Toshiro that he should have instructed one agent to remain in the room in order to make sure that the woman wouldn’t wake up and alert the guards. In these two weeks after the mission,
Toshiro felt enraged with himself. It was so bad and unbelievable in his eyes that he allowed two members to die and an operation to fail because of one mistake.
One. However, his rage intensified as he learned that the ANBU commander simply doesn’t care. He did care that he had lost two agents. But he didn’t care that he lost two human beings. He didn’t even remember their names. He only knew them by their code names. His response after the death of the two was "
We’ll get two more agents”. This enraged
Toshiro. How can this be? They were close to him. He had known them for a year and a half. Trained with them. Ate with them. Completed missions with them. They were close to him. He trusted them. It was so enraging that the commander simply doesn’t care. It was rare that ANBU members die. But when they do, they simply vanish from existence. They don’t make any significance anymore. This feeling started boiling in his heart from this day until the last day of his ANBU career.[break][break]
During the next few months, he trained and completed more missions - 4 A-ranked missions, in addition to 3 B-ranked missions, to be specific - with a ratio of approximately completing two missions once a month. He trained even harder during this time period. He simulated multiple scenarios over and over again. And he always remained dutiful. After the mission, he was now 18 and 6 months old.[break][break]
He was now 18 and 10 months old. The loss of his teammates still burning in his heart. Besides a funeral their families hosted for them, the village didn’t even acknowledge their death, even though they put their lives at risk for the village. But
Toshiro didn’t say a word about it to anyone. He kept quiet. He once attempted to ask the Jounin Hanchou if he had heard about the death of the two ANBU members and if he knew their names. He said that he had, but he doesn’t know their real names.
Toshiro nodded and kept a calm face; but inside, he was boiling with rage. How can this be? They died for this village. It was not right. But nevertheless, he still remained dutiful. He drew conclusions from this mission and moved forward. He went on to complete more and more missions and train even harder. In order to not repeat this mistake again. He simulated and trained over and over again, all to prevent the death of his dear ones, his teammates, those who were under his command. He had a soft spot for them. He didn’t care about killing criminals, oh no. But he had cared about his teammates; those under his command, at least. He felt like it was his responsibility to bring them back alive, even if it meant putting himself at risk for them.[break][break]
His next mission was to assassinate an S-rank missing-nin from the bingo book of Iwagakure. He put up a team of 3 other ANBU members and proceeded to carry out the mission. It was discovered to be easier than he anticipated. He repeated his usual routine of entrapping the road and making sure they were not visible to other sensors by placing a sensing barrier around them. They have engaged the missing-nin in a bar in a small town in Bonchi no Kuni, where he has been spotted and reported to hide in. He was able to put up a good fight, but he was no match for
Toshiro. His intellect simply wouldn’t allow him to fail this mission. His plan was to force the missing-nin to defend himself. He knew that missing-nin was an excellent user of the Futon and Doton elements and that he specialized in Ninjutsu and Taijutsu. Hence he put up a team of Genjutsu, Ninjutsu and Bukijutsu fighters. The Genjutsu user launched a simple Genjutsu that was only meant to confuse him while the Bukijutsu user engaged in a close-quarter combat with him. Meanwhile he was attacked by the Ninjutsu and by
Toshiro who forced him to take the road
Toshiro entrapped with explosives. The man was able to immobilize every member of
Toshiro team except for
Toshiro himself. They battled for an hour or so, the man weakened by the traps
Toshiro had laid down, but nevertheless still able to fight and avoided most of them, he was finally killed by
Toshiro as he performed the Lighting Bolt technique on him from the range of 1.5 meters and pierced him through the heart. This man was dead; his name marked off of the bingo book now.[break][break]
In the following two years and two months,
Toshiro only bloomed as an ANBU and as a Shinobi in general. His abilities to control and utilize his Dojutsu were superb; he was now a master of the second stage of it, but still was not able to utilize the third stage of it; at least, not yet. His control over his Chakra was even better; it was that of a master. He was even able to increase the range in which he could active Kagura Shingan often to 15 kilometers. His speed has improved even further, as with each few months, the weight he tied to his ankles only continued to grow. His reactions and reflexes were honed even further. He learned to utilize new techniques. And even in the aspect of commanding, he had improved. From completing more missions and simulating more and more scenarios he had honed his skills as a commander and a strategist to a terrifying degree. His OCD made sure that he would make no mistakes in his plans. With each mission, his ability to strategize only increased. In absolutely every aspect, he was blooming. However, the rage of him against the village continued to boil in his heart. The death of his teammates was still not acknowledged properly by the village. More and more agents began to disappear slowlier. People he knew very well one day didn’t return from their missions. While they were not a lot, they were enough. Enough for him to count them as brothers and sisters. He knew that it was part of the job. But it wasn’t possible that they were simply not being acknowledged by the village. Someone had to remember them, at least, that is how he saw it. He didn’t care about the content of the missions. He didn’t care if the village was corrupt or not. He cared for the ANBU members, who were being forgotten by the village.[break][break]
Ever since he had joined the ANBU,
Toshiro was not able to train with his father as much as he used to. The presence of his father in his life was now insignificant. He was too busy with his role as an ANBU to care about his father’s teachings. He learned everything he needed to learn in the ANBU; by completing missions and training so many times. He still loved his father, but not as he used to. He didn’t view him as a mentor anymore. He proved to himself that he was now much more capable than his father. The only thing his father could teach him now was how to control the third stage of the clan’s Dojutsu, but more on that later. He had met his old man every once in a while, but it was always for training and discussing life. His father was proud of his son, but he never admitted it to him. Perhaps because he was too proud in order to admit it verbally.[break][break]
In these two years and two months,
Toshiro completed one more S-ranked mission and 5 more A-ranked missions. And, unsurprisingly, a few weeks after he turned 21, he was promoted once again. This time, to the rank of an Elite Jounin. He was now a division commander. He was the commander of the squad leaders. He had a lot of responsibility in this new role of his. He needed to keep an eye on every agent in his department. It meant that he had less time to complete field missions. His role was now to remain in to office a lot and fill reports. The job that he has been clearing time to do in addition to his office work was to interrogate others. Which, with the use of his Dojutsu, was almost second nature to him. He interrogated many criminals that were brought into the ANBU compounds during his time as an Elite Jounin. He had managed to discover vital information during his time as an interrogator. His skills were used to harvest memories of criminals, as he wasn’t an expert interrogator; he was only assisting the experts. Once in a while he had joined a mission; however he had only joined the hardest of missions; those who require the most experienced of commanders, and he only provided support in these missions, as this was the nature of his role as a division commander. You see, he was an asset for the village. They planned to nurture him to command over the entire organization. However, in order to that, he needed to get familiar with office work first. Which meant filing reports and making decisions behind the scenes that marked a lot of significance. He was responsible for training and accepting new ANBU members to the division he was in charge of. His superb intellect allowed him to complete his office work and do it extremely proficiently. It seemed as if he was born to handle administrative jobs. During this role as a division commander he had learned that he absolutely love doing such jobs; administrative jobs. During his time as an Elite Jounin he hasn’t neglected his training. He continued to simulate scenarios and train on a daily basis. It was also during his time as a division commander that he noticed the number of ANBU members who simply died during missions and were not acknowledged by the village. He filled reports and had the squad leaders report every time a member died. The numbers, while fortunately not great, were still a lot. A lot of ANBU members died without the village acknowledging them by honoring them publicly for their deaths on missions. It was enraging. His agents were dying. Even if it was only one agent. They were dying and almost the entire village wasn’t aware that they died protecting it. It seemed so unjust. so wrong in his eyes. Over the years, this feeling only intensified. But, again; he had never complained. He kept quiet. He has never made a fuss over it and always remained dutiful.[break][break]
A few months after he was promoted, he decided that it was time for him to start trying to unlock and train the third stage of his Dojutsu; the future aspect. In order to do that, he turned to his father yet again. It felt weird and funny to him. After so much time of them not training together, he showed up to him now and requested his help. His father was glad that his son came back to him. He wasn’t aware of his new position in the ANBU, and
Toshiro didn’t want to tell him about that. And so, they started training him. His father told him that the only way for him to unlock the third stage of his Dojutsu is by fully and completely realizing that the past could no longer be changed. Of course
Toshiro had understood it! But only on surface. He didn’t understand the true meaning of it yet. Because he was still too hooked up on the past. He still refused to let go of it. The death of his teammates, the death of his agents was still too significant and very much present in his heart. And so they tried to train it for months and to no avail. His father and even
Toshiro himself were surprised.
Toshiro was extremely talented. How come he is not able to unlock it? His father started practicing his old ways of verbally abusing his son and
Toshiro, much like in the old days, simply remained quiet.
Toshiro’s father wasn’t able to physically assault him anymore, as
Toshiro would simply overpower him. But he was still very much vulnerable to his father’s words. And so, in addition to his role as an Elite Jounin, he was being mocked by his father. But he hasn’t given up on trying to unlock it.[break][break]
Long months have passed and finally
Toshiro was 22 years of age. He was sick of his role. The agents that have died simply vanished from existence. The village unaware of their efforts. His father verbally abusing him. Himself enraged with his own incompetency that prevents him from unlocking the third stage of his Dojutsu. And so, with his normal life still continuing, and with him showing absolutely zero signs of his inner feelings to the public, he started planning it. He started planning his escape from the village.[break][break]
[attr="class","hopelovetitle2"]LAST MONTHS IN IWAGAKURE (age 22)
[break]
he continued to train and perform his job just as usual. He still loved his office work and loved the administrative role he had been given. He continued to try and unlock the third stage of his Dojutsu but to no avail. At some point, he stopped approaching his father. He simply moved on on his own and tried to unlock it himself. But it was still not possible. He was still enraged with himself for not being able to master it. He was at a very bad place in life at that time. But he never showed it to others. He kept it to himself. He let everything out during his training sessions. There, he would go all out. He would exert himself and release all of the negative energy locked inside of him every day. That was his way out of his problems at that time. But he kept remaining dutiful and professional both to his superiors and to his subordinates.[break][break]
It was during the fifth month after his birthday that he finalized his plan to desert the village. He had believed that the village was only holding him back from blooming and he had no intention of serving it; serving a village who wasn’t answering his requirements. He was sick of it. Hence, his plan was formed. He decided to fake his own death. He decided to do it by asking a vacation for a week in order to visit the town he had visited in Bonchi no Kuni as he wanted to visit the hot-springs in that village. He requested this vacation 5 months prior to the time he actually planned to use it. It was approved almost instantly by his superiors. They trusted him. They knew him very well. They didn’t even need to make sure everything was okay; he had proven himself so many times to them that he didn’t even need to go through this entire procedure. That was their mistake. That was the mistake that allowed him to escape.[break][break]
During the next 5 months, he did everything normally. He even returned to train with his father, who was verbally abusing him just like before. But he didn’t mind. Because he knew everything would pass soon. He kept training and completing his job as normal; still doing it as best as he could, giving 120% as a division commander. He kept doing anything in his power to assure that his division was at its absolute best shape and that no unnecessary deaths and failures would occur through conclusions drawing meetings and countless scenarios simulations. He always demanded a 120% from his commanders, even when he planned on deserting the village.[break][break]
He paid one last visit to the graves of his fallen teammates and the agents who were under his command during the last day before he left. He cried for the first time in such a long time and apologized to their graves. He said that he did everything in his power to make sure their deaths were not in vain but to no avail. He apologized to them. He truly held his subordinates very close to him.[break][break]
That was it. The day of his vacation arrived. He packed a bag that would last him for a few days and headed out to the field. He didn’t make his department to his
‘vacation’ look unnatural; he made it seem as if he simply headed out of the village. On the road to the Bonchi no Kuni, his plan was set in motion. He kept tracks of him that led into an empty cave. He had injured himself and sprayed blood on the ground. He then laid the human bones he had stored inside a seal prior to his departure from the village on the ground and crushed them. He then forced an explosion inside the cave and made it collapse; leaving no trails that would suggest he himself had done it behind, making it seem as if it was a natural disaster that has ended his life. From there he proceeded to the Land of Rivers. He covered his tracks, using his Dojutsu. He shaved his hair and beard and covered his arms in bandages. He fasted for weeks, on-and-off, in order to lose weight. That was it. That was the death of
Himishi Toshiro and the birth of
Eto Idaten.[break][break]
Funny. It was funny. You know why? Because it was only when he stepped out of his hiding that he had learned that the past really couldn't be changed. No matter what, he would not be the same old Himishi Toshiro anymore. He was now
Eto Idaten.[break][break]
[attr="class","hopelovetitle2"]SECOND LIFE - THE SHAKAR (ages 23-39)
[break]
It was two months since he came out of his hiding spot.
Idaten marched out from his hiding spot in the Land of Earth and marched all the way to the Land of Honey; a continent east to the Land of Water. He had heard that it is a relatively uncivilized continent where the language is different. It was the perfect place to start over. He took the long path to get there; all the way through the Land of Wind and then he kept walking until he arrived at the country. He recognized it by the sudden change of terrain from the desert area of the Land of Wind and by the fact that the people there spoke a different language. It was perfect. After a month or so of traveling in the continent itself he came upon a wandering tattoo artist who worked with the use of wooden handles and metal needles attached via silk thread. He covered the ANBU tattoo that he wore on his right shoulder with a tattoo of flowers and flame edges (described in the appearance section of the application). The man spoke the language common in the Shinobi world and agreed to teach the young
Idaten how to speak it. The two traveled together for a while. At some point, instead of learning it by verbal lectures,
Idaten simply knocked the man unconscious and used the Memory Harvest technique in order to study most of his memories regarding the language of this continent. Once he harvested enough memory he had killed the man and got rid of his body and hid his tracks after he did. He spent a few months living alone in the forests of the country, reviewing the memories he harvested from the tattoo artist he had killed. Once has gotten a good enough grasp on the language, which happened quickly both due to his superb intellect and his Dojutsu he got out of hiding. He traveled to another town in that continent and began dying his hair and brows to silvery blonde and kept shaving his beard regularly, keeping his face clean shaven. It wasn’t hard for him to stick to that routine for months. To live alone, away from humans by himself for months. It strengthened him. He was committed to his goal. So much so that he devoted his days to training, learning the language, eating and sleeping. That was it. He hunted, trained, learned the language and slept. Repeat.[break][break]
So, back to the time he got to the town and started dying his hair: He was now 24 years of age. He now marched and journeyed the world as a free man. As a new man. As
Idaten. Now, as a free man, he had no objectives. He wanted to travel the world. The first place he wanted to visit was the Land of Rivers. It took him a month or so to get there. He visited a brothel in the Land of Rivers. At first, he had mistaken the place for a bar or an inn of sorts. But no, it wasn’t an inn. It was a brothel. He witnessed a young man, seemingly his own age or slightly younger and an older attractive woman sitting on the porch, surrounded by guards and beautiful ladies alike. They seemed important. And, well,
Idaten, being the man he is, loved to play with people. Especially with people who seemed like everyone should stay away from, and these people sitting next to the bar porch seemed exactly like those people.[break][break]
It was first the man who turned to face
Idaten. He was young but his face was rough and ragged, but he carried himself with a certain extent of self-pride. He seemed just like the typical underworld businessman to
Idaten at first glance, but he turned out to be so much more than that..
Idaten smiled widely at him and giggled as he scanned his frame a few times. "
You look like a tough bastard, mister. What does a bulky man like you do in such a lowly place in this distant Land?” he asked, almost jokingly. The man ignored him at first and sent his guards to remove him from his brothel.
Idaten neutralized the 3 guards in a flurry. That is when Okani Hono took the first real, serious glance on
Idaten. It appeared that
Idaten could be of use to him. And during this period, Okani needed useful people to work for him, as it was just the beginning of the Shakar. Actually, it was vice-versa (the need of Okani for capable people to work for him).
Idaten wanted to have fun, and this man seemed to have a lot of opportunities to hand out to people who wanted to have fun. And so, their journey began.
Idaten joined Okani Hono. At first,
Idaten didn’t plan to stay more than a week. He needed some money, and so, he planned to do some work for the Shakage. Okani laid down very simple rules.
The more dangerous the job is, the higher the payment is. If you betray him, you die. That’s it. These were the only two rules when the two started to work together in this night.[break][break]
This is when these two started to work together. At first,
Idaten only completed the small jobs Okani gave him. Which were to intimidate other criminals, collect debts and sometimes even assassinate incapable criminals who stood in the way of the Shakar. And well, as time passed, it seemed that the Shakar was not such a bad place to stay in. He connected with Okani. Still not in a level to completely trust him, but at this point, he did trust him, at least to some degree. So
Idaten decided to stay in the Shakar a little longer.[break][break]
It was a year of serving the Shakar when
Idaten was
25 years old. Two majors things happened shortly after he turned 25. The first one was; he finally managed to accept the fact that the past can no longer be changed. He didn’t even want to change it. He loved his life at the moment, as a free man. He finally unlocked the third stage of his Dojutsu: the future aspect. Now that he has unlocked it, all that was left was to learn how to control it and maximize it. The second major thing that happened during this year since he had met Okani was that he progressed in the Shakar very much. You see, he didn’t fail a single mission Okani has gave him. And as the months progressed during the years,
Idaten has been assigned more and harder missions and he completed every mission with the utmost degree of success. Due to his OCD and experience as an ANBU, he planned his every step countless times before he engaged in the mission. He started rising in ranks inside the Shakar itself, until eventually, after a year, he was elected as the second throne. The master of coin. It is something
Idaten was very proud to have achieved (this title). He worked very hard and enjoyed his life in the Shakar very much. It felt very rewarding. Now that he had an administrative role once again, he was given the freedom to act according to his own will by Okani.
Idaten knew that if he would betray him, he would find his death in some way or another. But he didn’t even think about betraying him. He admired the man. They bonded quickly over the bond of this year. They now became friends. Still not close friends, but friends. Their relationship still remained restricted to business, hence they were not close friends yet. So, in short, when
Idaten was given the role of the second throne, he started re-organizing some parts of the organization. He divided the guards and field soldiers of the organizations to divisions and to one regiment. Each division was in charge of something else. After this was completed, he went on to start building strong financial foundations, as fitting to his role. He hired office workers who were in charge of filing reports. He began getting in contact with different suppliers and close deals for the items the Shakar needed. It was starting to look more like a company now rather than a crime organization; both thanks to him yet mostly thanks to Okani himself. It was around the time when
Idaten was elected as the second throne that the name of the
Joker was born. You see, at the beginning of his role as the master of coin,
Idaten still didn’t manage to compose a team of workers who would deal with the physical problems (people who were standing in the way of the Shakar) that were standing in the way of the Shakar, financially speaking, and even in other departments which had nothing to do with the financial side of the Shakar. He took the reins to his own hands, and that is when the
Joker was born.[break][break]
Age 26: During the period between age 25 and age 26,
Idaten, who was now a throne, started removing the criminals who were standing in the way of the Shakar himself. He was responsible for the death of more than a few Underworld major criminals who operated branches of brothels and weapons’ trades during this year and took control of their assets himself. Every time he escaped the scene after he killed the Shakar’s enemies, he had left a coin of the Shakar and a card of the Joker next to the bodies of his late enemies; and other than that, due to his amazing abilities to detect and observe tracks that were given by his Dojutsu and superb intellect, he removed all tracks of himself in the scene.[break][break]
Age 27: In the age of 27 his control over his Dojutsu was now even beyond that of a master. He controlled every stage of it in a truly impressive manner. In addition to his training regime, he was able to expand the Shakar’s territory even further and assassinated more criminals who stood in the way of the Shakar. His knowledge of underworld resources and foundations became much better now and he was able to get even better deals and acquire better products for the Shakar.[break][break]
Age 28: By this point his control over his abilities grew even better; him being able to use his Kagura Shingan ability passively at all times with a low chakra cost in the range of 20 kilometers. His control over his chakra improved even further. His reactions and reflexes were improved even further. He was truly a scary combatant and definitely not a foe that someone would like to meet in combat. By this time period, he and Okani truly bonded. They were now more than worker-and-employee. They were very close friends.
Idaten opened up to him about his past, but he didn’t go into detail. He said that he deserted a village and that he was an ANBU.
Idaten in this year kept assassinating more criminals who stood in the way of the Shakar. It was in this year that 3 field soldiers under his command were seen as capable enough in his eyes to become his first top executives. They were given the assignments to deal with and remove any threats of the Shakar in the financial department while his role became a lot more administrative. He was the one who was planning every deal and assassination behind the scenes. He was able to train his men and prepare them for every possible scenario. He watches over his man with an iron fist; he treats them like soldiers and himself as their commander. But he loves them and holds every one of them dearly, until this day. Those who betray him, however, find their deaths in no time after
Idaten discovers it.[break][break]
During the next few years, the Shakar kept rising more and more. He had found three more top executives and bonded very closely with each and every one of them. He saw them as his brothers and sisters and would go to great lengths for them. The missions became greater and more difficult and more and more people under his command died. However, his top executives remained alive and well. The Shakar welcomed more and more thrones; some remained and some not. However, in face of all of the welcomed thrones,
Idaten stayed. He remained close and dutiful to his manager, Okani. In all of his years so far, and actually, until this very day, he never turned his back on him once. He always remained true and dutiful to him employer. Okani did a very good job with the assistance of
Idaten. They built a corporation. It was much more than a mere crime organization by the time
Idaten hired all of his top executives. This organization was truly to be feared in the underworld.[break][break]
During these years he kept training his abilities more and more. Although he did not advance as quickly as he used to when he was younger with his abilities’ proficiencies, he did manage to gain a better grasp and an understanding on them and honed them even further. The potential for growth is infinite for human beings. That is what
Idaten had found. At the age of 33, he was now considered a legendary user of the Tomokenzengan. His ability to utilize it was, at this point, considered extremely potent. He was now able to perfectly control all three stages of the Tomokenzengan. His chakra control was now near if not perfect. The weights tied to his ankles now numbered 2.37 tons after years of training with weights. That was the limit he had reached and still stands until this very day.[break][break]
During the following years until today, he continued to hire more workers for the next years, except top executives, and the Shakar kept expanding more and more; him stopping to take matters into his own hands after the amount of blood he had shedded with his own hands for so long prior to him hiring the executives. He kept simulating more and more scenarios to prevent deaths and rewarded those who stayed true to him and punished those who betrayed him. His status now in the underworld was now based. He was the master of coin of the Shakar. He had the best resources for products that the Shakar need and he did everything in his power to make sure that no money is being carelessly spent.[break][break]
Today, he is 39 years of age; and so far, he is at the peak of his abilities. The Shakar keeps expanding and he keeps remaining dutiful to it with every year passing.
[break][break]
